The seats were dirty and sticky, there was a horrible smell in the theater room. The popcorn was stale and rebagged with no new popcorn being made. Tried to use the restroom on my way out but all the stalls were broken except for one and that one had poop in it that have obviously been there for awhile. The only positive experience was that the staff was very friendly and welcoming. read more

When I read my review from six years ago, I thought I was being too harsh and needed to give this theatre another chance. Unfortunately, I think it has gotten more yucky since my last visit. Half the bathrooms were out of order or disgusting. There were stains all over theater seven (nacho cheese? Puke? Idk) and they don't pop the popcorn fresh--just like other reviewers were warning! Please just go to another movie theater. I think it's time to put this one out to pasture. read more

It has been several years since I've reviewed this location of Landmark Theatres, a modestly sized chain that began with a focus on indie/arthouse but has transitioned into a mostly wide-release chain still somewhat devoted to more limited release options. Since my last review, the chain came under a new owner - Cohen Media Group, an indie distributor that has a few Academy Award nominations. Historically, Landmark has been known for a more specialty experience similar to what you'll get at its other Indy location at Fashion Mall. Here, however, you get a more traditional experience in an older theatre that began life as a Kerasotes. I've long heard rumors of this location getting a renovation. In fact, when I arrived for last night's screening as part of Heartland International Film Festival I was really hoping I'd experience a newly renovated space. However, I have to think that this theater's fairly modest business has likely made such a renovation not a great investment. That's a shame - this space is really growing and I do think investing here could turn this into a destination theater. It's not bad here. It's functional. It's old school. The sound system sounds older (it was very noticeable last night). They have 12 screens, DLP projection, stadium seating, and are generally known for their concession stand. If you remember when Glendale was an actual mall, there's a hallway off to the side where this theater was attached to the side of the mall. While there's still a Staples over there (the library moved) and some offices, generally that hallway is now locked. Accessibility? Pretty good. Parking is plentiful. While there's not an automatic door, staff are nearly always watching and will rush over to help if needed. Theaters all have accessible seating in stadium-style (they are all at the midway point with companion seating next to them). Additional features include audio description, subtitles, and other options. For additional features, check their website. Because I consider this to be a notch below the most contemporary theaters in terms of tech, I doubt I'd see a high-tech film here. However, most other films would be fine here. This is a location that seems to do brisk business with films for kids, families, and diverse audiences. Generally, I find the employees always friendly here. I saw a manager I've known for years here last night who's now doing half-time between both Indy locations. That's a good sign as she's a great manager and always has a great crew. Landmark does have a loyalty club - both free and paid ($20 a year). The paid membership is worth it if you go to movies a lot as there's some serious discount options. I can't really change my overall rating - I still consider this to be a mid-range theater option for Indy. It's likely to appeal to those in the neighborhood - so Glendale, SoBro, Broad Ripple, and anyone who doesn't want to venture up to Castleton. I like it here as Kite has been turning this entire Glendale Town Center into a more comfortable, relaxed area with an improved Target, several restaurant options, healthcare, and even Ayr Apartments. For Marvel or high-tech films I'd go to Castleton, however, for pretty much anything else this Landmark Glendale is worth your time and will hopefully one of these days get the renovation it deserves. read more

I came to the movie theater to see "IF" as part of my Indy Flims buff Meetup group. It was a Monday evening and the theater was dead, so it was very nice to have the whole theater to ourselves. The staff were very professional and helpful when pointing us to the theater where our movie was showing. The AMC theater had a very nice ambiance which it always does, and the selection of refreshments was very nice. This must be a new movie theater because I had never heard of it before I came to see the movie. It is conveniently located next to Target in the Landmark Glendale Shopping center off of Keystone Ave. I was especially impressed with how clean the theater was and the bathrooms were clean and looked professional as well. In the past, I have been in movie theaters that were nasty and very dirty, so it was very refreshing to see a clean movie theater. All in all, this is a wonderful movie theater and the staff are friendly and professional, so I would highly recommend coming here for the movies. You will definitely get your money's worth! read more

My teen daughters and I visited yesterday for a matinee showing of Spiderman: No Way Home. We had the entire theater to ourselves! It was nice. I felt like we were the only patrons but they were staffed appropriately and the facility was clean. I didn't give a 5 star review simply because the theater is a bit older and we didn't sample the concession stand offerings, but everyone was nice and professional and we enjoyed ourselves! read more

This theater is no our usual go to but after shopping at target we decided to catch an early movie. They offer a special before 6pm all tickets are 8 dollars. This theater is a no frills theater that's for sure. I remember coming here as a kid and I don't believe it's ever been updated. It needs a refresh terribly. Concessions is serving the basics due to Covid a lot of items aren't available. One thing that was frustrating is they aren't offering refills. Not on large drinks which is so bizarre to me. I know for longer movies it's easy to fly through a large drink and I don't think spending another six dollars is fair. The seats were terrible. We didn't see one seat that wasn't visibly stained. I tried to not think about it because you just never know but we were grossed out for sure. The seats are so worn down and uncomfortable. Hence the need for them to desperately update. I would just avoid this one and go to a nicer theater in the area. read more

I enjoy coming to this theater. It's not far from my house,the staff is always nice. I went to go see the little mermaid, and there was an Aaliyah because it was in the afternoon, which was good in the lobby, seem like it was clean and then when we got into the theater, it was clean. We didn't get anything from the concession because we had just ate prior but it seems like they had a good selection of snacks. I've been to this theater quite a bit and I have no complaints except for their bathrooms can use a little TLC. read more

This theater is really outdated compared to what the industry looks like today. They aren't popping the popcorn fresh and serving it to you. Instead it's popped then packed and served. The slushes also aren't ICEE brand so the flavor options and taste are off. There's no option to select your own seat as well. However, the seats they have are nice and comfortable. And there were no problems with the sound, picture, or comfort in the theaters. The staff were friendly as well. However, you can go somewhere else for a fuller experience. The ticket and snack prices don't reflect the quality of experience. read more

This theatre is very average, it was nothing special but I saw a new movie for an affordable price, so no complaints there. The seats are the older version, meaning they don't recline and you can't reserve ahead of time. If it's a new movie at a popular time, I'd recommend coming early to make sure you can get a desirable seat. All of the theaters are tiny, again compared to the newer spots in town. That being said, it was clean and fairly comfortable. We went to a Saturday 2:30 showing, where adult tickets are discounted to $7 each for an early weekend deal. Free refills are available on large bags of popcorn. A large popcorn and drink costed $14 which seems comparable to the way movie snacks are priced. I would come back solely based on convenience and weekend value, but I was not impressed read more

I went to Broad Ripple High School in the early 2000s when Glendale Mall was still an enclosed mall. Besides some very minor cosmetic tweaks, this theater is still pretty much frozen in time. Because of that, ticket prices are quite a bit lower than several, more modern theaters on the north-side. No leather/recliner seats here. If a theater is full, you're packed in like sardines but that isn't likely. There is bicycle parking, but it is a very sad bicycle rack that isn't bolted to the ground and could easily be moved. To their credit, the concession stand has expanded a bit beyond your standard nachos, popcorn, candy and soda. There are some type of ready-made donuts and coffee as well. While the theater is dated, the price reflects it. $6.50 before 6pm I believe is pretty much a steal nowadays. Come here for the non-3d/IMAX flicks and you'll be quite pleased. Or take your kids or nephews here to tell them what the movie-theater experience was like 15 years ago. read more

Convenient location to my apartment and it's fairly empty but the seats are gross. Most of the seats seem to have something on them. I don't want to be distracted from watching a movie worrying about what I'm sitting on, disgusting. Luckily it was empty so we made sure to find 2 clean seats next to each other. The seating situation was a huge turnoff and I doubt I'll go back. They really need to renovate the theatre. read more

The staff at this movie theater are so incredibly nice and unlike any other. Movies are reasonably priced and they offer discounts on Tuesdays and for matinees. This is your typical movie theater without all the bells and whistles (food menu, alcohol, reclined chairs, etc). This is likely why they can keep their prices a bit lower. As mentioned before, we love coming here for the staff alone. read more

This is one of two landmark locations in Indianapolis which I love, since this theater chain tends to show films that tend not to get a ton of screen time. Glendale 12 is over by the target and Macy's. Very clean location, you never have to wait very long in a line to get into see a movie. I'd call this place traditional, stadium seats, smaller screens it's very quiet compared to others, but that's not a bad thing! I keep coming back just for a change of pace and they have different movie screening times, I will say this if you have movie pass, the card doesn't work so it's all done via e-ticketing. I went a saw Sicario and essentially had the place to myself which was great. Comfy seats, good food and drink options you can't go wrong! Another plus of this theater is that it has those uncommon movies but then they also show the big block buster hits so it's the best of both worlds! read more

Thanks Landmark 12 Glendale for a great time at the screening of Troop Zero! So today we went to Landmark Glendale 12 to see Troop Zero. We planned to see Dolittle. So I will admit I was leery until I saw the trailer....the story of a little girl who loves science and space which is where she thinks her mother went when she died. Braxton all things science so we decided to stay. After all we drove from "out of town" in a monsoon lol so..... The film did not disappoint! It was heart warming, funny and a tear jerker. I love movies that are at the core about HOPE. I don't want to give too much away but it's the story of the social outcast and her attempt to make her dream come true. Christmas (the name of the main character) had perseverance and I mean she was not going to let ANYTHING stand in her way even when it looked like all Hope was lost, even when everyone said she couldn't. It was also the story of finding your tribe. She had no friends at the onset. But as she attempted to assemble a Birdie (aka Girl Scout) Troop she found her people. I love that. The movie was great. Theater was clean. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. I'll admit we rarely go to the movie theater anymore but we will certainly make this another go to spot! read more

UggGGGHhhh I only come here because of its close location and cheaper prices. I have been verrrryyyy spoiled with the nice luxury chairs at almost every theatre, EXCEPT here. come on its 2018, why do they still have seats that look like they're from the 2000's?!?!?! When I watch a movie I want to be comfortable. Another downfall here is that you cannot purchase tickets on the most popular movie site, fandango. All you can do is view movie times. their seating is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, also unlike every other theatre. There are hardly any landmarks, so every time you get a popular AMC gift card, it cannot be used here. I think it used to be an AMC, so be prepared to not use any kind of AMC card here. read more

I come here quite often for free screenings. I do think they are due for an upgrade to the seating since most theaters have been upgrading. It can get a little cramped when packed, but other than that it's fairly clean and affordable. This theater is not in my neighborhood, so outside of the free screenings, I wouldn't come here. read more

I've been to this theater a few times now recently and gotten a better idea for reviewing. I'm not sure the age of this theater, but upon guessing it seems to be a older. From the outside it doesn't necessarily seem that way, but it is reflected on the inside. A lot of people have commented about the seats, and honestly that's because it's the first thing you notice. After all, you are sitting in them for the majority of the time you are there. They are uncomfortable and older. I've heard that prices are more affordable at this theater, and that may be due to not having all the amenities of a newer place. I would though rather pay more for comfortable seating, personally. One of the nice things though is that you can at least lift up the armrests if you wanted. And as long as you aren't during I'm the getting, the views are good. The bathrooms are older as well, but they do have a lot of them. I've never purchased from the concessions here so I can't speak for that. I've had both pleasant and rude staff experiences. read more

We don't come here super often. I hadn't realized it had switched to a Landmark till last year. We have ended up here for free sneak previews. Otherwise it's not really near my house. They still have the older seats and I am spoiled by recliners. I do like the large parking lot and the staff is always super nice. I like they have some unique snacks like mini doughnuts. While older it's always clean. Maybe eventually they will move to recliners. Even our closer Regal hasn't done that. So I guess not everyone needs a recliner. Plus without they have more seats! So we don't get turned away. I did recently sign up for the Landmark newsletter and they email showtimes and have more info about the movies which is great. read more

Landmark is a basic, budget friendly, no frills Obie theater. I went on a weekday and was able to see a matinee for $6.50, which is unheard of now days. The movie theater has your typical concessions area (does not offer alcohol/bar like competitor theaters). The seating is very basic. You don't get to choose your seat, there is no recline or leather. Although, the staff was very friendly and the space was very clean. This was the only movie theater in Indy that offered my desired movie at an early matinee time and a wonderful price to match. read more

Welllll, Glendale 12 not the newest theater, nor is it the most high tech, but it is the convenient and its rarely packed. If you live in Meridian Kessler, Broad Ripple, Rocky Ripple, or anywhere around Keystone (which I do) its so easy to get to, with almost zero traffic. We have come here multiple times to see newly released movies on the weekend and the theater is rarely so full that you cant find a group of seats close to one another if you have a big group. Also, the prices are insanely reasonable. $10 for weekend nights and $6.25 for weekend matinees. YES! You really can't get that anywhere else. While this theater looks like it is still stuck in the early 2000's, it gives me exactly what I want: easy parking, quick concession and ticket lines, and empty theaters. If you want all of the bells and whistles and to be spoiled with the reclining theater chairs, you will have to go somewhere else! read more

This location is great for location convenience and the decent prices. Other than that, it's not really updated or comfortable. The seats are extremely old and do not lean, recline, or have anything special to them. If anything, they could use some cleaning. The staff is always in a bad or indifferent mood. Lights, Camera, Action! I still remember when this theater was first built. It's shiny exterior and comfortable theater-style seats were a welcome addition to the Indy cinema scene. Sadly, while time has marched on, this theater has not. The same seats that were installed when the theater was first opened still exist, and both the exterior and interior could do with a bit of sprucing up. Despite all of that, this is still a very decent movie theater. It's tough to compete with theaters which offer in-seat food and beverage service, as well as those with deluxe leather recliners. What I like about Glendale's theater is that it's never packed, and the staff are courteous and helpful. E-ticketing is also a definite bonus. This isn't a go-out-of-your-way to get there theater, but if you need a decent spot for the latest movie release, it definitely makes the cut. read more

Went to a sneak peak of Trainspotting 2 at this Landmark location last night. I haven't been to this theater since it was a Regal many years ago. The change in ownership hasn't seen a decline in quality. The theater was clean and inviting. The concessions were fairly reasonably priced all things considered and I felt really comfortable here. One point of real interest is the old film projector equipment on display in the lobby. Rather than pitch the film projectors when they made the switch to digital, the theater put one on display in the lobby with some info cards attached. I'm looking forward to taking my kids to see the projector! I worked in a movie theater as my first job for several years back in the mid-90s and remember when I had to thread a projector with film and the giant spool it fed from. The movies are nice, and the information before the previews is intersting. However, the most recent time, our theatre was not working due to technical difficulties. This bummed me out, but they did give us a movie voucher and a free popcorn voucher. read more

Well its not the cleanest theater, its not the most high tech but its convenient and its rarely packed. If you live in Meridian Kesler, Broad Ripple, Rocky Ripple, Butler Tarkington or anywhere around Keystone its so easy to get to, zero traffic. The staff is consistent, I've rarely had a technical difficulty there and like i said if you come to a big box office hit a few weeks after release there will be very few people there! their technology is not up tot the high end theaters but its not too bad. I will still come here if there is movie i want to see thats not an iMax film or Artsy film. you don't have to worry about the parking of downtown, the distance of Hamilton Town Center and the traffic and teens at Castleton. its my go to movie theater for midtown Indy. read more

This is what's back here? Around the corner, attached to a quasi-mall? Awesome. This use to be operated by AMC. Landmark has taken the reigns and I'm really happy about it. A) A shorter drive than to Keystone. B) No alcohol means no drunk old man or young folks gettin' all boozy & inappropriate (yeah, that's right, being all boozy in the cinema is not cool). And C) it's more spacious than the Keystone location. $6.50, every day, every screening before 6pm, weekends too. I find this to be a steal. The theatres were clean, the sound crisp, the projectionist didn't screw up & the film didn't catch on fire, nor did the power go out (all potent potential screw ups). I'll be curious to see the consistency of chatty Cathys that need a catheter stuck down their pipe hole to shut up during movies. My first attempt we had a randy bunch of buffoons telling Ryan Gosling he's got it all wrong in Drive, apparently they know how to get out of a hotel with a million dollars better than he does. Impressive. This theatre is spacious and bare bones, and I kind of like that. I feel like it's a perfect place to disappear for awhile, especially in that 5pm post-work hour. Oh, there's a claw machine called "The Plush Bus," which is entirely irresistible. Kudos to you Landmark for making a proper expansion. Now, buy the theatre downtown in Circle Centre. read more

This theatre leans toward the side of "no frills." It hasn't been updated to have some of the popular amenities today like reclining seats or a bar area. They do have kiosks for ordering or claiming pre-ordered tickets, though my experience with claiming my ticket was a miss. Overall it's kept pretty clean and I've always been treated courteously by the staff. read more

This theater is nice enough, but it's pretty outdated. I only come here if it's the ONLY place that has the showtime I want. I feel theaters in Indy have so many options, like ones with reclining chairs or alcohol brought to your seat, so I'm not very inspired to pay the same amount for no bonus features. I LOVE the Landmark theater at Keystone, but without the same name, I would never have realized that these two theaters are owned by the same company because they seem to have little in common. Still, there is always plenty of parking and lack of crowds, so it's definitely not all bad. read more
