It was a nice social activity that also allowed moments of quiet to focus on your piece. I find this dynamic kind of nice because I'm not one to talk endlessly even when I'm with my friends. They have tons of pieces to choose from, ranging in price and size, so you can make this activity as much as you want to get out of it. There's no studio fee, so glazes and kiln services are included with your price. They have just about all the colors of glaze, which have a display on the wall by the glaze bottles. The staff are all very friendly, Brooke and Fernando were especially attentive to us throughout the evening. They made sure to help keep our workspace tidy and helped with some glazing and artistic touches. Importantly, we never felt rushed with the process, which helped us feel like we could make something we're proud of. They also have some glass fusing stuff as well, so you can make some kinds of mosaic glass lamp shades (or at least that's what was shown throughout the space). I'm curious how that's priced, because that would be another cool outing! Pottery pieces take about a week to be fired in the kiln, so I don't have my masterpiece back yet. We came on a rainy Saturday morning around 11:30 and this place gets a lot of business! When you come in it will probably take you some time to first pick an item to paint. They have a variety of options to choose from with various price points. The price includes all the materials and supplies as well as the glazing process and the excellent service you receive. They do a great job with labeling paints, having different size brushes, switching out jars of water, and checking on you throughout the process. I will say that since it's best to paint 3 hours it takes a lot longer than you would think. So come with the mindset of getting lost in the therapeutic process of painting. We took 4 hours to paint our items. We will have to come back to pick up our items. They have a sign and provide clear communication on when to expect our items back. We had such a blast. I will say that takes much more time than one would think so definitely give yourself time to paint several layers without rushing. My only other thought was next time I would pick a bigger object for our small ones to do as opposed to the tiny hand. Painting was very frustrating for them. We were able to help, but next time e Id pick only big easily painted objects. It was a fun airy spot with lots of tables and creativity abounded! I showed up today after a very long drive already in a mediocre mood. I went up to the front desk to ask about a Facebook Marketplace agreement I had made for a sofa set and the price, only to find out there had been some miscommunication. At first I honestly thought I might have been scammed, which instantly put me in a terrible mood. I definitely huffed around and complained about how far I had driven while trying to sort it out. Long story short...the Facebook Marketplace dealer was not a scam at all. We had simply misunderstood which pieces we were talking about. Fast forward to the end of the visit: three employees (two gentlemen and a woman / I'm sad I didn't get their names) helped me load everything and went the extra mile in every way. They were incredibly kind to me... even after my less-than-great attitude earlier. I tipped them and apologized for being grumpy, but I have to say I left there genuinely believing in people again. They handled the situation with so much patience and kindness. Very cool experience. I'll absolutely be back (with a better attitude!) and I'll be paying that kindness forward.
