Even the seats on the side are angled into the center of the court, so you're just a bit more comfortable. The glass on the front row of the upper level gives more of a viewing opportunity. The natural light is a great tough, getting to see just a little bit of the Indiana sunset as you take in the game. Even the concession stands are thought out enough to be inside the playing area, which makes for some difficult line navigation but cool nonetheless that you don't miss any action while waiting. In true Indiana style--and I mean this in a great way--this feels like an expanded Indiana high school gymnasium built for basketball rather than a big arena for multi-use at a university. This place was MADE for basketball. Highly recommend a game here.

We snagged excellent seats but they were occupied by a bunch of students, who begrudgingly eventually did move. We went to the VIP section where they celebrated with Fat Tuesday cakes, cookies, another beverage stand, veggies, etc, met the Merchants frog, and had a fun Night together. The bathrooms were clean, admission into the facility was quick and easy, security check points moved fast and overall, both kids had a pretty smooth introduction to sports in the safest environment possible!

Super informative and made me appreciate what was happening while it was happening. I didn't know what to expect, but there was someone to guide us through the entire experience--letting us know what we were seeing, what to notice, when to keep our glasses on and when it was safe to remove them. 10/10 experience. So cool. There were telescopes to look through and stations set up where kids could color. And assistants to answer questions or tell us more about eclipses. TL;DR i'm starstruck. Super cool stuff happening here & very informative in an accessible way.

I visited here on one of their open house nights as part of a girl scout troop trip. The staff was very friendly, energetic, enthusiastic and showed a real passion for astronomy. The open house is in 2 parts. The first part is the movie in the planetarium. The theater is very nice, but also very small and fills up quickly. The movie they showed was awesome and gave the background on the US versus Russia space race and some information on the moon landing and space station. It was well put together and very informational. My little and I really enjoyed it. They followed the up with a simulation of the Indiana night sky and an explanation of some constellations and the origins of the Orion constellation. The second part was actually going up to the observatory and look through the huge telescope. It was a line, but moves at a steady pace. I would say I waited about 30 minutes or so. It was nice to look through the telescope and see specific constellations. They moved the telescope to see different stars and planets throughout the moving of the line. Luckily, it was a clear night and we were able to see a lot That is not always the case so I would check it out before I go. Some people would double back in the line, cutting offf some people that have not viewed yet to see the telescope again after it had been moved and out on a new star or planet. I think once you viewed, you should have to go all the way to the back of teh line and get a second viewing after everyone has had attest one. But, that is just my opinion. I highly recommend getting here early because they sell out quick and you may be offered a later showing, at best. Part of my group was a little late and werer told that they could come back at 9PM. They decided to just go home as that was a bit late for them and their little. The inside of the observatory has a lot of symbolism and meaning which was explained during our tour. They had a small telescope set up outside on the front walkway that were are able to see a very clear image of the moon. It was amazing. The place is available to be rented out for groups, at a very reasonable price, but you will not get to see the telescope because available rental times are during the daylight hours. I recommend checking this place out. It is as fun as it is educational. I was like a big kid here.

These features include Cereal Cinema, a monthly special screening held at Newfields on a Saturday morning at 10am that offers a cereal buffet (coffee is available for purchase for the tired adults). Cereal Cinema targets the family market. For example, this year's films include Night at the Museum (April), Madagascar (May), The Neverending Story (July), Homeward Bound (August) and the list goes on. This is always a reasonably priced good time for the entire family. While accessibility at Newfields isn't quite 100%, it's surprisingly good and wheelchair users like myself can easily attend Cereal Cinema. The cereals are usually a variety - including gluten-free options. Indy Film Fest is still an entirely volunteer-run film festival. It's amazing what they accomplish, and it's a guaranteed good time for the entire family. I definitely recommend Cereal Cinema for families. It's one of Indy's true gems and a best kept secret. You'll have fun and the kids will be happy. Win/Win.

I knew there was a garage but I parked on the street a block away, which was the right decision as I heard it takes long to exit the garage after the show if you park there. It is such a beautiful space. When I got inside, it was unclear where I was supposed to go. But once I went to the right section,The seat was easy to find. However, unfortunately the people with poor etiquette ruined my experience a bit. Some were constantly talking during the performance, others took out a phone with a bright screen in when it was dark. I think they need to remind the audience to be courteous and respectful, although it is a common sense.

They're all very friendly usually have a smile on the face in our as helpful as possible especially for people in situations that are not normal. The seats are a little small, but that's to be expected in a older auditorium. But it seems as if everyone has a pretty direct view of the show no matter where you're sitting on the floor up on the terraces, there are three of them, or anywhere in the auditorium. I really don't see a whole lot of places here that have any obstructions whatsoever. They bring in a number of Broadway shows every year, do a lot of concerts here, and of course, the university stuff. Highly recommended.

The course was easy to navigate (not a lot of trouble) but that's due to the fact that a lot of the rough and heather were probably mowed down in the winter and you have some forgiving fairways. This will definitely be a little more difficult course to navigate this spring when the vegetation grows in. The staff were friendly and members were very laid back. There wasn't an air of "up-tightness " I've experienced at some clubs, it was a really relaxed yet professional environment. Had a burger and fries at the Pub and the food was ok. The coke was a little flat. Nothing to rave about but it was ok. The pace of play was really good, took me about 3:50 to play 18 and never felt rushed and the group in front of us maintained a good pace of play. I recall 3 restroom facilities (including one at the turn) on the course. I've played some private courses where you better hold it until you reach the turn on you are in trouble. A member informed me of some changes coming to the course and it sounds like the management team is going to make some major modifications to the course next year. I was unable to see the locker and weight rooms as both facilities were undergoing renovation but the pro-shop was nice and again the staff very knowledgeable about products and friendly. The main building is dated and from what I could see of the swimming pool it seemed to be small in comparison to some other private clubs in Indy. I got a chance to step into the golf academy and wow was I amazed! There are I believe seven bays, four bays with heaters allowing outdoor practice in the colder months, one large practice bay for club fitting and private lessons and two indoor bays with simulators and a lounge area for relaxing. Oh, and a large indoor putting and chipping green. If you know someone and can get a round at this course I would encourage you to do so. Beautiful weather, relaxed environment and I even made a couple friends. All the ingredients for a great golf experience.

This is the church's biggest fundraiser of the year, though strangely enough admission is actually free (food, beer, wine, desserts available at varying prices). The festival features, you guessed it, sausage (from L.E. Kincaid and Sons), along with beer from Sun King and a variety of other food and dessert options. There's a beer & wine garden (over 21, of course) and a bunch of activities for the kids including inflatables, games, a dunk tank, face painting, and even a back party lot for teens with a DJ. There's also a main stage with music. As I drive by this way nearly every evening on my way home from work, this was an easy stop for me. The event this year was held this past Friday/Saturday from 5:30pm-Midnight. Yes, it gets crowded. However, I found parking to be pretty simple even without trying to find an accessible spot (I'd imagine there's an arrangement - I didn't ask). I'd visited St. Thomas Aquinas back when I was exploring churches. I recall really enjoying the people. This event reminded me why. They were friendly, helpful, considerate, and just plain fun to be around. At some point, I even stopped making "bless the sausage" jokes. It took me a while. The menu included beer, sausages (of course), pizza, wine, bottled water, soft drinks, sides, desserts, and other items. Byrne Grilled Pizza, which has a storefront about a mile north, was onsite. I'm very often off on one of my fundraising trips when this event comes around, however, I definitely want to visit it again. The food was great, the people were awesome, the atmosphere was welcoming, and despite my aversion to large crowds I really enjoyed it. I'll be back.
