Fever Rising!) and other shows, there's always something going on and I have a great time with it. There's a lot of options for food and I've always had my food come out quickly. The Fieldhouse Favorites will cover your bases on the classics. Ben's Pretzels offers carbs galore. A recent fave of mine is The Shake Bar, a Steak 'n Shake brand that specializes in luscious, over-the-top milkshakes. I love to get the Oreo shake as a treat for my game or showtime experience. Some other tidbits - you're allowed to bring in a clear water bottle that's either factory sealed, or an empty reusable to fill up at a fountain. Another alternative is the DD program, where you can get a free soda with a voucher from guest services. You can't purchase any alcohol after that point because you get a wristband that would indicate as such. But if you're looking to stay sober for the evening, this is a great perk!

There was zero need for physical contact. No warning, no attempt to de-escalate, just straight to being aggressive. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun night. We paid good money to be there and ended up feeling disrespected and honestly shocked. And to make it worse, it already kind of sucks being Pacers fans all season during a rough year--then when the team we're actually excited to see comes to town, we get treated like trash by arena staff. That's not how you treat paying fans. Security and staff are supposed to ensure safety--not create uncomfortable or hostile situations. This was handled in the worst possible way, and it reflects terribly on the arena and its staff. Do better.

The Fieldhouse was packed with fans and the excitement was contagious. I was thrilled to see women's sports at the same level as men's. The team has come a long way. The Fever has gained national fame with the addition of Caitlin Clark. While Caitlin didn't play during the game that I attended due to injury, she was engaging the crowd like a champ from the bench. We got to our seats early and Caitlin was signing autographs and talking to kids. It was fun to watch. The team played together incredibly well, hitting many three point shots. These athletes are great role models for young people. The team had even drawn in Hollywood celebrity fans and nationally renowned authors. I felt like I was part of history being made. So the tickets and parking are expensive. We had pretty good seats and it was worth seeing the players up close. The communications from the ticket office were excellent. I received notices regarding gate procedures and even what colors to wear! I highly recommend attending a game (or several) and supporting the Fever.

Even though we lost and Caitlin did not play, I had a good time watching my favorite player Lexi Hull. We sat in Section 1, Row 1, which were great seats very near the Fever bench. Even though we sat off to one side of behind the goal post it was not a hinderance. We were really close to the action and could view the action from a really unique viewpoint. I would buy season tickets there if they were available. We all liked the games played during the TV timeouts. I felt that the announcer person could have explained more about the coach's challenges instead of just announcing the outcome. The restrooms are easy to get to and located throughout the facility. Concession offerings are alcohol as well as bottled water and soft drinks. They do remove the plastic tops from all bottles after purchase so if purchasing several you may want help carrying them back to your seats to prevent any spills. Guest services staff were friendly and helpful. If you have someone drop you off and pick you up, that can be tricky. The police tend to block one street off temporarily and then open it and block off another. So if you can walk and meet your pickup several blocks away, that would be your best bet.

Even the seats on the side are angled into the center of the court, so you're just a bit more comfortable. The glass on the front row of the upper level gives more of a viewing opportunity. The natural light is a great tough, getting to see just a little bit of the Indiana sunset as you take in the game. Even the concession stands are thought out enough to be inside the playing area, which makes for some difficult line navigation but cool nonetheless that you don't miss any action while waiting. In true Indiana style--and I mean this in a great way--this feels like an expanded Indiana high school gymnasium built for basketball rather than a big arena for multi-use at a university. This place was MADE for basketball. Highly recommend a game here.

Normally, you have to pay to park here or have a permit. They opened at 11, and the lines got long pretty quickly, but they moved fast, so it wasn't too bad. Once inside, there were plenty of activity booths and even free fruit like apples, oranges, and bananas. They had a setup with multiple tents and tables for registration, and due to the amount of people, it was hard to tell where the lines were as people just crowded around. Once registered, we received a bag, headband, T-shirt, and wristband to get a basketball. The registration process could have been a little smoother with better organization. There were activities on the field to keep everyone entertained while waiting for the dribble to begin. My favorite booth was the Geico one. they printed your picture onto a player card, which was such a fun keepsake! It was definitely a busy event with lots of participants, so waiting in line was to be expected. When it was time to start, everyone moved to the track where staff handed out basketballs. The dribble route went past Victory Field and ended at the convention center, where we got free access to Fan Fest with the event, such a great perk! I also liked that we passed through Victory Field and could use the restrooms there. It was a fun event, but I feel like it could have been a little more organized. Another downside was the weather because it was so cold and windy, but we still tried to make the most of it!

I've built, tuned, crewed on, and driven everything from street stock jalopies to late model stock cars, to supermodifieds and sprint cars. I've watched or driven close to 500,000 laps at various venues around the country, from 1/4 mile ovals to super speedways. IMS is perhaps the poorest place I've ever been to try to watch a race. I attended both the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400 there last year. Whoever decided to build a 3 story grandstand on the INSIDE of the front straightaway and a museum in the infield was an idiot. There is not a seat in the house that can see more than about 1/4th of the track. What I mean is, at 220 mph a lap takes about 40 seconds. So every 40 seconds you get to see the cars go by for about 7-10 seconds at speeds so fast that you can't even read the numbers on them. If you are a race fan you'll be disappointed. If you're there primarily for the party, and the hip hop DJ blasting away in the infield you might have fun. I didn't. I would rather have paid to watch paint dry in a sauna. I live 4 miles from IMS. It took 4 hours to get home after the Indy 500. I paid for preferred parking and ended up a mile from the track. For the 500, the concession stands ran out of food at about 2 pm, or about halfway through the race. I'm not spending money to go to this venue in the foreseeable future.

The concessions are pretty limited, but most of the standard stadium fare is included.
