    Indianapolis Colts wordmark.

The Colts have been a successful NFL franchise since they joined the league as the Baltimore Colts in 1953. In Baltimore, the Colts won three NFL Championships (1958, 1959, 1968) and one Super Bowl championship (Super Bowl V in 1971). The Colts moved to Indianapolis in 1984. Like many others in my lifetime, I know the Colts best for the Peyton Manning era: 1998-2011. The Colts drafted Manning with the 1st pick in the '98 NFL draft and the rest is history. In Indianapolis, Manning led the Colts to two Super Bowl appearances (XLI in 2007 and XLIV in 2010) and one Super Bowl win (XLI). In his 14 seasons with the Colts (13 if you don't count the 2011 season in which he sat out due to neck surgery), he led the team to 11 postseason appearances. Individually, Manning is as decorated as they get: Super Bowl XLI MVP, five-time NFL MVP (four times as a Colt: 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009), and a 14-time Pro-Bowler. Manning holds the NFL records for most passing touchdowns in a season (55) and most passing yards in a season (5,477). However, those records came in 2013 when he was a Denver Bronco. The peak Manning-era years for the Colts were under head coach Tony Dungy: 2002-2008. With Dungy at the helm, the Colts never missed the playoffs. Dungy led the team to six consecutive AFC South Division Championships (2003-2007) and the Super Bowl championship in '07 (2006 season). Needless to say, both Manning and Dungy are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As someone who grew up a Wake Forest sports fan, I've always thought it was interesting how the Colts hired former Wake head coach Jim Caldwell to succeed Dungy beginning in 2009. Up to that point, Caldwell's only college or pro head coaching experience was going 26-63 (.413) at Wake. I understand he worked for Dungy in the NFL beginning in 2001, so he had eight years of pro experience as an assistant entering the 2009 NFL season. But, to hand over the keys to an established, championship-winning team with an all-time great QB, just like that, still boggles my mind a bit. Don't get me wrong, I like Jim Caldwell. To his credit, he did coach the Colts to Super Bowl XLIV in 2010, but it was with a team that Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning largely helped establish. Caldwell later ended up as head coach of the Detroit Lions where he coached my favorite player, Calvin Johnson, in his last two seasons (2014-2015): https://www.yelp.com/biz/detroit-lions-detroit. Since Manning's last game for the Colts in an AFC Wild Card Playoffs loss to the New York Jets on January 8, 2011, the team has had almost a grab bag of starters at QB. There have been 12 different starting QBs in Indianapolis since 2011. The most prominent has been four-time Pro-Bowler Andrew Luck, but like Manning, Luck had to sit out an entire season (2017) due to injury. He ultimately retired "early," at the age of 29, due to his recurring injuries. 2018 was Luck's final season. The lack of continuity at the QB position, along with other factors, have hurt the Colts' performance in recent years. In the last seven seasons, Indianapolis has only qualified for the playoffs twice and they have only one playoff win: in 2019 in the AFC Wild Card Playoffs over the Houston Texans.

Figured we'd take the chance to see Tom Brady play one last time before he retires again. Even if it was just a preseason game. He played some the 1st quarter then came out of the game. The Colts won which made the cost of parking, the actual ticket and the cost of a drink worthwhile. Lucas Oil stadium is an awesome facility. Take a tour sometime if you get the chance. Here's to hoping the Colts have a winning season. Unfortunately as I write this they are losing to Houston. Ugh!!

I am a Marion county tax payer so i do have my issues with what we had to pay for the new stadium but im also a Colts season ticket holder and love them and going to our awesome new stadium. How can you not love them...look what the Colts did to Indiana sports. We used to be a basketball state and now we are all football because of the Colts. I could say so many things about this great organization and what they have done for Indy. i could go on and on about all the great players that have played for us and what they have brought to the game. I could go on about the owners, the coaching staff, the management. But if you live in Indy you already know..so ill just say GO COLTS....BLEED BLUE....

Had a great time at the Colts game, parking about 6 blocks away $20.00 each. There was a total of 11 of us in our group, we purchased sodas, popcorn, Chicken Strips, fries, cotton candy, Beer and Nachos. Everything was ok except for the popcorn was really stale. We love our Colts can't wait till next time.

My favorite professional sports team. They are great on the field but also great off the field. They are also very active in the community and they care about the city. I wish I didn't live in DC since there are pretty much no Colts fans there but I always feel at home when I visit Indy since the fanbase and the team are wonderful. While I do miss Peyton Manning, I'm very glad we have Andrew Luck. I'm also glad that they are back on a winning track since Mr Irsay cleaned house and started over. Say what you want about him but I'm glad he's the owner of my team. He may have his personal problems but he's done a great job with the franchise and they are heading in the right direction. Can't wait to see more games. Go Colts!

I love my Colts so what better way to earn money to find a cure for cancer than to sling beer to devoted Colts fans. I volunteer at a stand in the West Loge. You can find pot roast, barbecue pork and paninis at my stand as well as Papa John's Pizza. I guarantee we have the coldest beer in the stadium. If you happen to be in the West Lode during the Colts game come to my stand as proceeds go to charity.

Led by our man Luck in #12, for the past three years the Indianapolis Colts have shown dominance in their AFC South division, making playoff appearances each time. With a growing arsenal of offensive weapons, the Colts look to once again be one of the top offenses in the NFL. Although they have yet to make it to the Super Bowl under the lead of Chuck Pagano and Andrew Luck, the chances of it are getting better and better. Go Colts! #BleedBlue

Just go watch some clips of fuel games at the coliseum and you'll be jealous it's gone. The best part is when you get to leave. I try to make it to a couple of games each season. As with most teams, they have great years and not so great years. This season several star players are injured. Their record has been disappointing, but I still love them. Last night, we went with our granddaughters for family night. There were some great giveaways to celebrate the night including hats, hot dogs and towels to wave. We saw great performances at half time and during timeouts. The seats were reasonably priced and we could see the game easily. The Pacers league knows how to make the evening fun! The kids followed the game and stayed excited. As for the team, they came out strong in the first quarter, but lost the game. The team was fun to watch, nevertheless. We are lucky to live in a city with a pro team that is accessible and affordable for families. I love my Pacers.

The Fieldhouse was packed with fans and the excitement was contagious. I was thrilled to see women's sports at the same level as men's. The team has come a long way. The Fever has gained national fame with the addition of Caitlin Clark. While Caitlin didn't play during the game that I attended due to injury, she was engaging the crowd like a champ from the bench. We got to our seats early and Caitlin was signing autographs and talking to kids. It was fun to watch. The team played together incredibly well, hitting many three point shots. These athletes are great role models for young people. The team had even drawn in Hollywood celebrity fans and nationally renowned authors. I felt like I was part of history being made. Even though we lost and Caitlin did not play, I had a good time watching my favorite player Lexi Hull. We sat in Section 1, Row 1, which were great seats very near the Fever bench. Even though we sat off to one side of behind the goal post it was not a hinderance. We were really close to the action and could view the action from a really unique viewpoint. I would buy season tickets there if they were available. We all liked the games played during the TV timeouts. I felt that the announcer person could have explained more about the coach's challenges instead of just announcing the outcome. The restrooms are easy to get to and located throughout the facility. Concession offerings are alcohol as well as bottled water and soft drinks. They do remove the plastic tops from all bottles after purchase so if purchasing several you may want help carrying them back to your seats to prevent any spills. Guest services staff were friendly and helpful. If you have someone drop you off and pick you up, that can be tricky. The police tend to block one street off temporarily and then open it and block off another. So if you can walk and meet your pickup several blocks away, that would be your best bet.

Once inside, there were plenty of activity booths and even free fruit like apples, oranges, and bananas. They had a setup with multiple tents and tables for registration, and due to the amount of people, it was hard to tell where the lines were as people just crowded around. Once registered, we received a bag, headband, T-shirt, and wristband to get a basketball. The registration process could have been a little smoother with better organization. There were activities on the field to keep everyone entertained while waiting for the dribble to begin.
