I went to my first Indy Fuel game this year and what a fun way to spend the evening! The Fuel play at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum and the Indiana State Fairground. They have concession stands and gear shops with fairly reasonable priced merchandise. The tickets are also very affordable. We did have to park pretty far away so it was a long walk back to the car and there was some heavy traffic getting out. The game I went to was Superhero night so the team wore special jerseys and they had people in costume walking around for photo opps. The Fuel ended up winning and I am looking forward to when I can go to another game!

Indy Fuel is a great low cost entertainment option for the family. Great food, lots of price points, and great hockey! You want to be here for the introductions they darken the room and put on a display. Most games have a special. Fuel is feeder team to Chicago Blackhawks so wear your 'Hawks jerseys.

Great times were had at the Indy Fuel game. I like the ease of getting in and out of the game. The hockey games are fun for everyone in my family. We all like chanting "Go Fuel!", the mascot (Rowdy), and the fun of watching live hockey. Things to note: - parking is $8 - hockey etiquette states that you can leave your seat during game play, but you can't return until there is a break (the whistle blows) - there is a Dunkin Donuts for coffee sales, it does not sell decaf, the cream is all flavored or you can get little packets of half and half - when you enter the coliseum, head upstairs- the seats are all up one level. There is an elevator, but it is slow - if you can handle the stairs, take them - it is fun!

It's a shame that we don't have a pro hockey team here in Indy. However, we are very lucky to have the Fuel. The season opener was a wild game. Our team played well but didn't win. The crowd was very nice and the venue was clean and easy to navigate. They had food and lots of drinks to choose from, price was what you could expect at a sporting event. Parking is easy but be sure to leave your bags in the car. Fuel games are family friendly and just a great date night idea all together.

If you haven't been to the coliseum for an Indy Fuel game, you're missing out! They have plenty of parking and lots of food and drink vendors to choose from. They typically have themes for each game so you can get dressed up or just enjoy the various music and games.

First time at the game & had a great experience! The crowd is so engaged & makes for a fun time! The arena is classic, nice & not too big so easy to access! They offer corporate events & birthday parties so fun for all ages!! Looking forward to returning with my family!

I got to enjoy my first fuel game with my pup thanks to the paws and pucks event. I've been wanting to go to a game for a long time. The tickets were nicely affordable and the venue is really nice! The staff made a the experience extremely accommodating for pups and their parents. They had us all in one section and provided grass patches upstairs for the dogs to use! It was awesome! Check in was quick and easy and all the staff was extremely friendly! I had a great time at the game and can't wait to go back! Also parking is $5 but there are people directing and it's a pretty quick in and out process.

Great venue, good entertainment value and a decent quality (two levels below the NHL) hockey game. It's by far the most reasonable professional sporting event in town. The Coliseum is a fantastic venue. We had seats in the top row and had a great view of the game. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house. Save your money on tickets and spend it on concessions. The Fuel fans were passionate and provided a lot of entertainment. The between period entertainment included a shot for a fan to win a car and a game where Fuel interns played hockey with a beachball while wearing zorb bubble balls. We happened to go on an "all-you-can-eat" night game. They had free unlimited hot dogs, burgers, popcorn and nachos, which was an added bonus. They have three all-you-can eat nights a season (dates available on the Fuel's website). All and all, a fun way to spend an evening!

If you haven't been to a Fuel game, go!

The Circle City is know for it's sports scene and since 2014 we have taken it up another notch with the introduction of the semi-pro Indy Fuel! If you haven't been, there are tons of games throughout there season There isn't a bad seat in the house and all tickets are resonably priced. We were able to get tickets for $15 (with fees) a person in the top row behind the goal and could see all the action no problem. The Fuel do a great job keeping folks engaged in the game and making the event family friendly. This is also a great place for groups and family outings. Check in advance to ticket specials and deals as they are always running some sort of a promotion. There is an additional $5 fee to park inside the fair grounds, but you can always park across the street on the other side of 38th St for free and walk.

ECHL hockey in Indy! 2015-2016 was the second year for the Fuel and I was able to attend fan appreciation night. I played hockey growing up and rooted for the (now defunct) Toledo Goaldiggers and Toledo Storm. But slim pickings for Indiana when I moved here so having the Fuel is very welcome. The hockey isn't particularly fast or crisp. I have watched ECHL for a long time and the best players at this level may sniff a fourth line role player at the NHL level. But it very entertaining and the Fuel put on a good show with the revamped Indiana Coliseum, announcers, cheerleaders, and so on. Being affiliated with a first class operation like the Chicago Blackhawks doesn't hurt either. They announced an attendance increase from last year so that is very positive. Cost wise tickets here are higher than other ECHL teams (specifically Toledo, which has a better stadium IMO) but that is OK. It beats the cost of a Colts ticket! Hopefully they remain for some time and I will certainly be attending future games.

One Word: Hockey!!!! I'm a life-long hockey fan, and I was THRILLED when I heard we were getting an ECHL team (Don't get me wrong, the Ice of current years were fun to watch, but I prefer hockey played by guys old enough to grow beards [or give a good attempt at a beard...]). I was even MORE excited when I heard our team would be an affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, which is my favorite NHL team (Obviously, per profile pic). For the inaugural season, we bought a 1/4 season package, and it's safe to say we will be bumping up to a half or full season package for next year. As with any new team, there are some kinks, both on the ice (passing, seriously guys, work on your passing...or don't pass & just charge to the net...something) and off the ice (sometimes the DJ selection is wonky). The Fuel haven't had the best record this year, but I expect that with a new franchise finding its footing, and it's not for lack of try. Every Fuel staff member we have interacted with has been a class act and incredibly friendly: from our ticket rep (yay, Ben!), to the people staffing "The Garage" gear shop, to the owners Jim & Shawn Hallett...it's a Top Class organization. As an added perk, the renovations to the Fairgrounds Coliseum made this a PERFECT hockey venue. There is not a bad seat in the house. Seriously, grab your friends, grab your kids/family, or set off solo, and come support our newest pro sports team in town! Watch out for the mascot, Nitro, he's a bit of of a mischievous rascal...but is utterly hilarious. Smooth dance moves, Nitro. Fuel Up! Let's go Fuel!

Their record has been disappointing, but I still love them. Last night, we went with our granddaughters for family night. There were some great giveaways to celebrate the night including hats, hot dogs and towels to wave. We saw great performances at half time and during timeouts. The seats were reasonably priced and we could see the game easily. The Pacers league knows how to make the evening fun! The kids followed the game and stayed excited. As for the team, they came out strong in the first quarter, but lost the game. The team was fun to watch, nevertheless. We are lucky to live in a city with a pro team that is accessible and affordable for families. I love my Pacers.

I would buy season tickets there if they were available. We all liked the games played during the TV timeouts. I felt that the announcer person could have explained more about the coach's challenges instead of just announcing the outcome. The restrooms are easy to get to and located throughout the facility. Concession offerings are alcohol as well as bottled water and soft drinks. They do remove the plastic tops from all bottles after purchase so if purchasing several you may want help carrying them back to your seats to prevent any spills. Guest services staff were friendly and helpful. If you have someone drop you off and pick you up, that can be tricky. The police tend to block one street off temporarily and then open it and block off another. So if you can walk and meet your pickup several blocks away, that would be your best bet.

I love seeing more and more events at IMS and utilizing the grounds as often as possible. Kudos to Red Bull Air Racing Team and IMS for your foresight. Watching the Red Bull Air Race Championship Series LIVE was AMAZING. Pilots fly through a predefined racetrack of Air Gates at 140 + kts. What are Air Gates? Air Gates are inflatable pylons typically in pairs and MUST be flown through horizontally with the exception of the Chicanes. Chicanes are a series of single pylons positioned in a line and must be navigated in a slalom style. The total length of each racetrack is 3.7 miles and the Pilots must maneuver twice. Flying individually for the quickest speed at the correct speed, height, level and smoke on from start to finish in between Air Gates and then slalom style, and not hitting a Pylon was often a nail biter. We observed the maintenance crew repair deflated pylons, hit by the planes, in less than 90 seconds. Imagine how fast and impressive that is remedying a race delay. Between the Challenger and Master Class races IMS scheduled several Fan Activities for all ages. The Paraglider Jump, Airplane Aerobatic Stunts, and Helicopter Stunts, thrilled and terrified many. The Moto & Bike Trials Performances had a following of their own and the Slackline Performances baffled many watching a man performing gymnastics moves on what appeared to be a large rubber band. A few suggestions for improvements at next race would be 1) traffic control on race day so folks get in sooner, 2) open gates earlier than an hour before events begin, 3) more food vendors to shorten lines and not run out of certain foods, 4) bring larger quantities of gift shop Red Bull Air Race Gear and 5) move starting ceremonies in Front of the Race Fans instead of Pagoda forcing us to watch on Video Screen. Otherwise, phenomenal first time event and our entire group are ready to purchase 2017 Air Race tickets. IMO, hats off again to Red Bull and IMS for the informational book distributed Saturday at the gate which was the game changer for the unfamiliar Air Race fans. The book covered the Weekend Schedule, the IMS Site Map, the Race format, the Race Rules, the Race Course, the Anatomy of a Race Plane and Bio's on all of the Pilots. Everyone had their noses buried off and on in this small, quick study, well formatted book. We learned together, followed the video boards and announcers, and with each race improved greatly. Because we had this reference material at our fingertips it truly shortens the learning curve for over 40,000 fans. By the Master Class Final 4 Race most understood and recognized the rules and penalties and were rooting for our favorite Pilots. See you next year!

They opened their entire shop for the public to view but the day was all about our Veterans and The Indy Honor Flight. Many Veterans, their families and volunteers were onsite for us to meet as well. Today's entrance donations from the Open House goes directly to the Indy Honor Flight which is such a worthy cause. The mission at Indy Honor Flight is to bring our WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans to Washington, D.C., at no cost to them, for a tour of honor. Each veteran is paired with a guardian/companion who is asked to make a donation to cover his/her own expenses and assist the veteran. We've had a friend take one of the Honor Flights and been told it's an experience they'll never forget. I know for us we'll never forget greeting a returning flight. It was a very emotional experience for all involved. If you'd like additional information checkout their website at: www.indyhonorflight.org. We really enjoyed touring the Ganassi shop. The staff was friendly and we were able to tour their large facility. A very impressive collection of trophies and race cars greeted us as we entered the lobby. Even a Lego car, approximately 4' x 2 ', was on display which kids and adults alike enjoyed. The entire building is truly immaculate and very impressive with extensive storage, labeling and everything had a place. The transporter, the car from 24 hrs. of Daytona, protypes, cars from past seasons, chassis's to wheel guns were available for all to view. One of my favorite experiences today was meeting Dixie, the praying dog and her owner. Dixie is the official therapy dog for the Indy Honor Flight. She travels around the midwest bringing joy and comfort to veterans, folks in nursing homes and children. Dixie also helps her owner with shed dog and deer demos across the midwest at outdoor expos. Thanks to Ganassi Racing for sponsoring such a wonderful event benefiting our amazing Veterans. Donations are always appreciated year round for the Indy Honor Flight.
