Overpriced, phone calls not returned, forgot to place an order for contacts. Do not recommend.

Decided to give Spindel a try and so happy I did! Nicole and her co-worker (sorry, I didn't catch his name) were super helpful, telling me ways to help avoid that same issue by picking out a frame with a different shape. Nicole let me browse and checked in with me without being intrusive. Their selection is relatively small, but so many styles. I was skeptical about finding anything, and in the end I had 4 pair I was trying to decide between! They gave me their opinions on what they thought looked best. Once I decided, the measurement and purchase processes were quick and easy. Nicole even went over discounts I qualified for, and I was happy to see they accept CareCredit, since these lenses and frames were coming out-of-pocket. I almost fell out of my chair when they told me the price, I was honestly expecting them to be at least $100.00 more based on other places I had been. Great experience all around! Can't wait to get my new pair next week!

I had a disappointing experience during a routine contact lens exam at Windham Family Eye Care…read more When I arrived, the front desk staff member told me she was locked out of the office computer system and could not log in to access insurance information. She even showed me the screen and explained that she couldn't access the insurance portals. I also observed multiple usernames and passwords written on sticky notes attached to the monitor. Because of this, the office could not verify my insurance benefits through Davis Vision. Despite not knowing my copay or contact lens allowance, I was told I needed to pay something and ended up purchasing a box of contacts for $85 out of pocket. A few weeks later I received a voicemail saying my contacts were ready and that I also owed $125 for the contact lens exam, which had not been disclosed during the visit. When I called to ask about it, I was told my contact lens allowance had already been used simply because the office billed the exam. This was frustrating because I had already paid for contacts out of pocket specifically because the office could not verify my insurance. After raising concerns, the exam fee was eventually waived, but only after a lengthy discussion. Overall the experience involved significant disorganization, lack of insurance verification, and unclear communication about fees and insurance benefits.
