I have had several follow ups and have been impressed every time that I have gone. Each time I have been warmly welcomed and checked in. All of the staff have been very kind and friendly. I have decided to start going there for my routine eye care because I like the idea of having both optometrists and ophthalmologist in the same practice.

I noticed problem about 9 months later and planned on returning but forgot (currently using my last pair not purchased here). I now need to get eye check-up etc...I went into My Eye Dr expecting problem to be taken care off due to obvious defective/poor quality control. (see photo; glasses in perfect condition - no scratches or sign of wear and tear). I was told that there is only a 1 year guarantee; however, no where on the invoice does it say so (getting the run around here?). I was offered a 50% discount to relace glasses due to defects caused by the manufacture. Now does that seem fair to you????????I will discuss problem with my insurance company so they are informed and to get advise on finding an Eye Dr that is reputable.

She even showed me the screen and explained that she couldn't access the insurance portals. I also observed multiple usernames and passwords written on sticky notes attached to the monitor. Because of this, the office could not verify my insurance benefits through Davis Vision. Despite not knowing my copay or contact lens allowance, I was told I needed to pay something and ended up purchasing a box of contacts for $85 out of pocket. A few weeks later I received a voicemail saying my contacts were ready and that I also owed $125 for the contact lens exam, which had not been disclosed during the visit. When I called to ask about it, I was told my contact lens allowance had already been used simply because the office billed the exam. This was frustrating because I had already paid for contacts out of pocket specifically because the office could not verify my insurance. After raising concerns, the exam fee was eventually waived, but only after a lengthy discussion. Overall the experience involved significant disorganization, lack of insurance verification, and unclear communication about fees and insurance benefits.

I decided to buy my Rayban eyeglasses at Lumen eye care back when it was called Illumineyes. Rather…read morethan buy them from a discount box store or chain store I paid a premium price thinking quality and customer service. I had to bring them back for an adjustment because the arm hinges became bent and they were adjusted. Earlier this year or late last year before they moved to their new location and changed their name, the hinges to the arms became misalign/bent again and they adjusted them a second time. This week I went to their new location and now called Lumen Eye Care because for a third time needed to be readjusted because again the hinges were bent/misaligned. This time when I checked in at the front desk and verified I bought these glasses there, a male person I think it was one of the doctors said I will help you. He asked what was the problem and I explained the issue and gave him the glasses. He took them out back and I was thinking like the previous visits he was adjusting them. Instead he was verifying I purchased them at the old location and name, when I bought them and knew I was backed at least once with this issue. He told me there was nothing he could do and it was a known issue with these Rayban glasses they don't even sell this particular frames anymore. So what changed from the last two times I been there.? They changed locations and name. If it was a known issue why didn't he tell me rather than fix them like the other two times? Didn't want to deal with products purchased at the old location and old name? I don't know the answer. I do know I will be getting a new prescription this summer and I do know I won't be buying them from Lumen Eye Care.

I walked in the door, checked in and sat down and in less than 5 minutes an aid called my name and my appointment began. The exam was very thorough. Then I checked out and was on my way home. I would have given 5 stars but I think they used too many eye drops to dilate my pupils (my eyes didn't return to normal for more than 8 hours) and I felt that the location in the complex is not clearly marked.
