I had my six month check up with Dr. B and everything doing great. 20/20 great vision! I am free to follow up again in about one year. I Could not be happier with being out of specs. Thanks so much Nashua! My experience at Nashua Eye has been very positive. Well they don't put a lot of resources into appearances, the expertise of the doctors and staff is unparalleled. When you come to a concert for laser vision correction, Dr. B explains the procedure in detail from beginning to end. I was interested in hearing details and he gave me all of them. They do some initial measurements and give a good idea of if your eyes are able to undergo the surgery. I had a second appointment that they called the evaluation. This is where they do all the all in valved measurements of your eye to make sure that it makes OK sense to have laser vision correction. Dr. B also makes a plan for the surgery. He talked to me about having Lasik or another procedure called PRK. We decided on LASIK because it is the easiest healing. PRK is another procedure that has a slower recovery time. On the day of the surgery, I took two Valium so that I was a little bit chill. I knew what was going on and what I was saying, but I didn't care too much. I was brought into the room for laser vision correction with Dr. B by Raina, who is great. She is a very calming staff and I really appreciated her help. Dr. B put in drops so there is no pain. There is some pressure at the beginning when the flaps are made on the eye. Then I was asked to stare at a light well laser vision correction was being performed. This is the really important part but was painless and just took about 10 seconds per eye. Then there's a little waiting around after the laser and chatting with the staff. I was sent home with my wife while my vision was a little cloudy. I chilled out on that day and the next day I was in good shape. Dr. B gave thumbs up the next day after surgery and I was good to go! A couple of months ago I was referred to Nashua Eye Associates to express interest in and to obtain more information about LASIK. Meg, the refractive surgery coordinator, was timely, professional, respectful, and helpful in her response. Meg connected me with Dr. Timothy Blake, the LASIK surgeon at Nashua Eye Associates. My pupils are very large and when I went 10 years ago for a LASIK surgery consultation I found out I was not a good candidate. I was nervous going again now but wanted to know if technology had improved so that I would be a good candidate. I met with DR Blake and after lots of testing I was told I would be a good candidate for LASIK. I waited a month before calling to schedule the surgery appointment. I had the surgery on March 10th 2015!! The evening of the surgery, Meg was present to check me in, to go over the consent forms, and to answer any remaining questions. During the surgery, Dr. Blake explained to me each step of the way what he and his colleagues were doing. After the surgery, Meg provided me post-operative care instructions, and she and Dr. Blake encouraged me to call at any time if an issue should arise. When I got home with a bit of blurry vision after the surgery, it was fantastic to wake the next morning with clear vision without contacts or glasses. I had a little bit of dry eye here and there but no pain at all during or after the procedure. From the first phone call I received from Meg to my latest check-up - I feel that I was working with intelligent, qualified, thoughtful, and respectful staff. I have had continuously worse experiences with them, but this final one was the deal breaker for me. A year ago I had my eyes examined by Dr. Sutherland, whom I have been seeing for years. I like him very much. His assistant, however, is inept and has no bedside manner at all. She wrote out my new prescription wrong, which I didn't know (how would I?) until I got new glasses at Pearl. I thought Pearl screwed them up. Nope, went back to Nashua Eye to see what was going on, where Dr Sutherland got me right in (no appt) and re-examined them. New script, back to Pearl for new glasses (again). A year later, I go to Nashua Eye to get new prescription sunglasses made up, by them. They are also made incorrect, with the old, WRONG prescription. They never documented the NEW, correct one in the computer. Told them Pearl has the correct one, and I will just return these and get new ones from Pearl. "That's a 30% restocking fee" NO. WAY. So I ended up going to Pearl and physically getting my script from them, bringing it back to Nashua Eye, and had them re-done...again! When they came in, there was no tweaking for fit, no adjustments, nothing. Not even a "sorry for the inconvenience". They suck, and I blame Dr. Wingate, who started this whole practice. I saw Dr. Blake and was very pleased with the outcome of my cataract surgery. He was up front about his concerns, I told him I have never had 20/20 vision after lasik years ago that I was not worried about getting 20/20 vision but to see more clearly and if need be get corrected with glasses. I appreciated the time they took with me and did several measurements to verify what seemed a bit unusual they wanted to make sure they didn't have errors on their side. They did not. I never waited very long from test to test they did, it just took awhile to get the measurements done etc. Dr. Blake did not rush off to his lunch appointment but took the time needed to get me scheduled and explain the process. I called the billing department a few times and they were always very helpful. The surgery center was fine and again if people are running a bit late and they are taking care of someone else I would hope they would take that time with me, as they did , and not rush. Check out and rescheduling was easy. They do have a lot of patients and things come up. I will go back to Dr. Blake when it's time to get my other eye done. Thank you to all the employees at nashua eye for all you do, it's not easy working with people in any medical setting, but when it comes to eyes, it can be scary and you all put me at ease about the procedure and took care of me after. I have been a patient of Dr. Blake for several years now, and I have never had a bad experience. He is extremely patient and willing to explain the minutiae of the treatment I am receiving. Dr. Blake performed Lasik surgery a couple years ago, and my vision is better than ever. Though my advancing years, coupled with diabetes, are presenting new, relatively minor issues, Dr. Blake is kind and professional with even the mundane. The opticians are also very sweet and helpful; however, their position doesn't call for any "educating" of the patient, and most of their time is spent typing data in the computer database. My experience with the office staff has not always been as positive. There appears to be a great deal of down time for them, and when they must attend to checking in or checking out a patient, it is offered with an attitude. It feels as though they are distressed with the senior population and enjoy making some of us (like those of us with obvious mobility issues) walk around that very large front desk. For some of us, merely walking into the building and using the elevator presents its own set of problems. Overall, I will stay with Nashua Eye Associates, specifically Dr. Blake, as I am confident of his skills and his concern for my ongoing vision issues. read more

I just had LASIK performed by Dr. Parikh and it was a truly flawless procedure. My time was clearly valued as I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen, all of my questions regarding the procedure were answered and the procedure itself couldn't have gone smoother. Michaela in the office is phenomenal at her job coordinating everything and making sure you're prepared for the consultation as well as the day of the surgery. I was pretty nervous the day of the surgery but I had paid already so of course I showed up. Dr. Parikh and his staff made me feel so at ease, the procedure itself was done in less than 10 minutes, and just as they told me I would, I was able to drive myself to my post op appointment the very next day. I woke up and went about my day thinking I had put my contacts in because I could see so well. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Parikh and the overall experience. If you are thinking about LASIK don't hesitate to schedule it today! I also expected that it would take months to schedule the procedure after my initial consultation, but I scheduled it the day of my consultation for only a couple weeks out which was an added bonus. Have been going to Dr. Blake for years. With baby boomers reaching age of failing eyes, you can imagine that a quality opthamologist like Dr. Blake (and his partners) are EXTREMELY busy. None the less, any waiting is well worth the outcome. For 10 years Dr. Blake has been monitoring my progressive eye problems, which I have more than the normal boomer has. At the right time, a decision was made to start needed procedures. Cataract surgery in both eyes this spring has been an amazing experience. I do believe, considering other problems that will be dealt with in the future, my eyesight is better than it has ever been in my entire life. The quality of care, the Dr.'s skill, the entire staff in office and operating room were more than I could have even expected. Eye problems are scary enough. I've had a great experience with Nashua eye associate! I went in for a lasik consultation with Dr. Blake. They were able to schedule me quickly and worked around my work schedule. After a few eye exams and scans Dr. Blake determined I would benefit more from PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) then lasik. He explained the differences between the two, along with the pros and cons. Dr. Blake explained the procedure in a professional and honest manner that made me feel comfortable to proceed with PRK. Procedure day was quick. Dr. Blake was kind enough to explain the steps as he was doing the procedure which made me less anxious. Too be honest the first day was more painful then I expected. The following day I had an appt and he reassured me that everything looked great and that the pain will subside shortly. He was right. By each day things continue to get better. I had PRK surgery with Dr Parikh last week. He took time to answer all our questions throughout the process. I was very pleased by how quickly he and he his staff respond to phone calls, emails and post any post surgery emergencies. I was experiencing a lot of pain the day after removing the protective lense (day 7). Holly called me back with good advice. Later, I spoke with Doctor Parikh on the phone (immediately) when the pain didn't subside. I went in because he wanted to be absolutely sure it was not infected. I was seen as soon as I could get to the office. No waiting. He resolved the pain (a superficial layer from my eye had been removed by eyelid/blinking). My right eye is already 20/20. So was my left eye before I scratched it. But.... Wow, I am so thankful! Dr Parikh goes above and beyond for the care of you and your eyes. Having eye surgery is scary. My wife and I have been a patients of Dr. Blake for the past 20 plus years. We both have had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Blake, my wife five years ago and mine in September and November of this year. In both cases our surgeries went without a hitch and were very successful. Dr. Blake has been on top of our medical needs and did not push us into the cataract replacement until we were ready. I have been wearing glasses for the past 35 years, my wife her entire life. Both of us only require drug store readers now with our distance vision totally restored to what it was in our youth. I had Lasik at Nashua Eye Associates in early April. I had originally had a consult back in March and Dr. Blake did an excellent job of explaining the procedure and doing my exam. Luckily I was a good candidate so I scheduled the surgery for April. The procedure went very smoothly. Dr. Blake and his team walked me through each step and made me feel very at ease. The entire appointment was only about an hour with the actual procedure only a few minutes. Immediately after I could already see better and then after resting my eyes at home for a few hours my vision was significantly better and waking up the next morning without reaching for my glasses was amazing! Had LASIK last week and the entire process was made extremely easy thanks to Dr. Parik and his team! Each appointment from the consultation to each follow up has been great. Easy check in process (they will assist if you are not comfortable using their kiosks) and little wait time. Dr. Parik and Bryanna were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in my making the big decision to under go LASIK. Last year I had visited for eye pain - turns out I had a corneal ulcer. Saw Dr. Sutherland who was great! I admit, I over wore my contacts and did not really know the dangers (I did not go to Nashua Eye when I had started my contact usage) Was able to fully heal thanks to Dr. Sutherland and learned a very important lesson on contacts. Fantastic!!! My mother has been a long time patient here and has always had fantastic care from beginning to end. She receives her glasses here and while they are't as cheap as the budget online places, the quality is SO MUCH BETTER!!! Because of her great experience, I had LASIK with Dr. Parikh and was seeing better than 20/20 on the first day! I have no idea why I didn't get LASIK sooner. It was nice that the LASIK is done in the same building as their office, too. Regarding wait times, I only found myself waiting for about 30 minutes one time because my doctor had an emergency patient to deal with. No problem - if I had an emergency I would definitely want to see an eye doctor rather than the ER! I can't recommend this place enough. Trust me - just go here for your eyes! read more

I found myself in need of a professional opinion due to my blurry vision. I went to Nashua Eye for an evaluation and had two different doctors confirming the need for a cataract surgery in both my eyes. I can truly say that the staff of Nashua Eye Associates, along with the NMSC staff were all terrific, making me feel significant, informed, cared for and all of them were knowledgeable in their field and answered my quesitons. I had LASIK at Nashua Eye with Dr Blake. I was very anxious upon arriving to the office to discuss surgery and the staff was great at explaining each step of the process and putting my mind at ease. In my case, my vision was very poor without glasses. I believe my prescription was minus six. Dr Blake said I also had a lot of astigmatism. I wore contacts for many years but I was tired of taking care of contacts. The thing I was most surprised about the surgery was how fast the surgery is. My eyes were scratchy the day of surgery.
