I I was shown where to sit (to wait for my appointment), and proceed to fill out my paperwork. When I told her I filled it out on line, she thanked me for doing that (recommended). I then met Janna Mendenhall, OD. I was given a through exam, with extra attention to a problem I was having. She was professional, with a great personality. She even took the time to look up an eye surgeon for me to follow up with. Wrote down three names. I picked out a pair of glasses, with no pressure, or up selling (I would be having surgery my glasses would only be for a couple of months, as my RX would change). Since I work in Lowell I just wanted to find some place I could easily bop over to during the week. I called on Monday and got an appointment on Friday. The receptionist wasn't overly friendly, but I've found that to be true at all eye doctors I've called lately. Dr. Fabello greeted me at the front desk. He looked up my insurance before the exam to see what the options were for my contacts (this is when he informed me that my insurance wasn't very good) and then proceeded with the exam. Since I had my old prescription the exam was fairly quick. He checked that there weren't anything improvements to make to the prescription and that my eyes were healthy. He explained my insurance situation to me and worked with me figure out the best balance of optimizing the use of my benefits along with getting the best contacts for me. When I checked out the receptionist was back at the front desk and she was helpful but had the attitude that I was inconveniencing her to be doing her job. Overall a great experience, just be prepared for the receptionist's 'tude.
