This is for the optical shop. I didn't go to any of the doctors here. No reason, other than I already have a doctor and don't want to switch. But, a couple of times, my young son's glasses have broken, and I brought them in to Nutfield (across the road from his daycare, and asked if they could help me. They always did, and fixed the glasses right up. I didn't buy the glasses there, nor would they accept any payment. I will always appreciate that. One of those times I was in the store, I found a pair of glasses I really liked, and about a year later, I came in to see if they were still there. I had to spend my insurance credit quickly, and they found the glasses I wanted, and ordered them, and managed to get them in under the insurance deadline. I love these glasses, and they were really helpful in making sure I got what I wanted, and didn't try to convince me to get something else that would be easier. read more

I feel compelled to write a review even though I'm only 4 days post-op after having LASIK. I honestly can't say enough about Dr Lamay and his amazing staff. From my initial consultation to the surgery itself, they were respectful, caring, and professional. I've worn glasses for over 30 years, and while I know they are a business, when I went in for my consultation, they explained *EVERYTHING* about the procedures available, the pros and cons of each, and I didn't feel pressured to make a decision that minute. Nor did I feel like I was stuck in a sales pitch, which I have heard some people experienced when going to other places. The procedure itself was over very quickly and was not painful at all, just a bit uncomfortable. My sight is are a little fuzzy, and will continue to get clearer as my eyes heal, but I'm amazed at the results already!!! I plan to write an update at 6 months. I would recommend Dr Lamay to anyone considering LASIK! *******UPDATE******* I actually forgot that I was going to make a 6 month update, but just wanted to say that my eyes are still as fantastic as they were, and I still feel that this was one of the best decisions I ever made. I really like Dr. Lamy, however every time I go for an appointment I am stuck in the office for at least an hour to an hour and a half. I went for my appointment today, made sure I booked one for first thing in the morning in hopes of avoiding this but after waiting for 15 mins in the waiting room and other people that came in after me going ahead of me I had enough. I asked the front desk how far behind he was and they said they weren't sure, they have no way of telling me how long I would have to wait. This is a great place if you are retired and have nothing else to do but if you have a job, not so convenient. Also, they wouldn't let me book my yearly appointment after my last appointment they wanted me to call in a few months before to book it. Then when you call in they are booked out for months which is exactly why I wanted to make my appointment in advance. read more

I was working with Doctor Wong. Everything was fine until it was time for me to get contact lenses. That's when I got put in with Linda. Linda took it very personally when my prescription was not correct. I asked doctor Wong to change my prescription before we went on the trial. This was not what Linda wanted. She was very put off that I spoke to Doctor Wong. The prescription change was to my right eye. When I called the doctors office to let them know that I was having trouble with my left eye distance, Linda spoke with doctor Wong and together they decided to change the prescription in my right eye near instead of my left. I asked several times why they would change my right eye near when it was my left distance that I couldn't see out of. Linda said that I could not just cover one eye to know whether or not my contacts work. At no point did I cover one eye. Anybody with 2 eyes can tell which eye it is that they cannot see out of. The sole reason that I was not helped was simply because Linda had her feelings hurt. She didn't get her way and so I was not going to get help from the doctor. Her way was not having to change the paper work. She literally complained that she would have to change a number on the paperwork because I changed my prescription. I was essentially refused help until I went back into the office a week later after not wearing anything. When I went back into the office Doctor Wong did not care at all about the situation. I told her that I no longer trusted anybody in the office and was refunded. My entire family has left this practice. And I suggest that yours avoid it too. At the end of the day, they care about money not you. read more

I went here a couple of years ago, and saw Dr. Wong. She was very put off that I was even there for a routine Eye exam simply because it had only been a year since my last one. My previous eye dr. was excellent, but he retired and I was just wanting to get established with a new practice, just in case. I have narrow angles, and she had little concern, and told me that was normal or a frequent finding, and of no concern. It is a concern, as you can develop acutely high interocular pressure. She was also going to dilate my eye, which you are not suppose to do in someone my age with this condition, as it can cause an acute attack!! Anyway, I found this practice to be terrible, and I have joined another practice as a patient, and they are absolutely excellent!!! read more

I strongly do not recommend this practice. I had a failed LASIK surgery with Dr Lamy. Then a second Surgery done 3 months later to correct the situation. Now, 2 years later my vision has deteriorated and am back to lenses. The office/ Dr is full of excuses, blaming the "machine". I also saw another Dr from this practice for a different unassociated problem. After weeks of being treated, and little improvement, I went somewhere else for another opinion and was informed the drops she prescribed were totally inappropriate for my diagnosis. I should have never gone back there. read more

They are awesome. After being referred here and reading reviews I decided to get my PRL/Ladin surgery here. The surgery took less than 10 minutes. Went today for a 6 month check up and it was a very enjoyable experience. Dr. Lamy and his staff are amazing. They are so helpful and they have phenomenal attention to detail. Although I have had positive experiences with the doctors at Nutfield, their staff represents their business and this is where the problem exists. It took 7 months of phone calls, letters, and filing a grievance through the insurance company to get them to stop billing me for contact lenses that had already been paid for by insurance. During this process, the insurance company discovered that a portion of my personal payment to Nutfield should have been covered by insurance. They asked that Nutfield re-submit the claim correctly (contact lens fitting fee). They could then pay Nutfield and I could be reimbursed. It has been 5 months of trying to resolve this particular issue and instead of a reimbursement, I just received a bill from them for that fitting fee (which I paid 6 months ago). read more

I can not recomend this practice. My husband went there and had nothing but problems. When he checked in they told him they didn't have an appointment on the books for him, then they looked in their old system and said they had got a new software system and hadn't transfered all the appointments over. They were very rude about it, which wasn't his fault, he had an apt. Then when he saw the doctor she told him she didn't know how to prescribe what he needed. She didn't know how to prescribe a prism in his lens. The doctor said she felt the primary care provider should decide what to do next. (even though the pcp sent him for an expert opinion) We had to request the medical records be sent to the primary care multiple times. After having such a bad experience I called the practice manager a few times hoping to discuss what had happened and tell her about our experience. The apt was in September 2014 and I didn't call me back until JUNE 2015! The practice just does not have it together. We had been there in the past and liked them, but I think they are under new managment which has caused it to go down hill read more
