This float center is amazing! I've gone monthly for 3 years to Float Boston. As much as I like them, I enjoyed this float center a million times more. It's easy to find with ample parking directly in front. When you walk in the lights are a very chill blue color in all the rooms. You'll be warmly greeted by the owners when you walk in. They'll ask about your float history, how you learned about it, and tell you all about their float center. They currently have 2 tanks, a classic sensory deprivation tank and a open/cabin style float option. I've used both in the past but opted for their open cabin today. The room is spacious and includes everything you need before and after floating; a shower, towels, wax ear plugs, makeup remover, q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. There is a sensor in the room so they know after your shower when you get into the tank to start your time. I'm used to 90 minute sessions but tried the 60 minute option. I liked it almost as much. I didn't fall asleep which I usually do at the end of 90 minute sessions. The cabin has the option to keep the light on or off. So what does floating do? For me, floating relaxes my body and mind. It literally takes all the tension of my body away from the zero gravity effect the salt provides, I sleep amazing for a week after I float, allows me to come up with new creative ideas, as well as reflect on my life in general. I feel very relaxed and peaceful after I float. When your session is over, music will start to play and the lights turn on. You don't have to worry that you won't hear the music due to the ear plugs, you'll hear it. After your session, you shower again to get all the salt off. They have a seperate room with 2 stations that have a mirrored vanity with a blow dryer, lotion, hair ties, and saline solution. There's another room for relaxing and reflecting. There's 2 comfortable chairs, notepads, books, assorted tea, coffee, water, and chocolate. I very much look forward to floating there again! I booked my session online. I booked 3 weeks in advance as weekend appointments are harder to come by. I highly recommend trying a float session! My experience is opt for the 3 pack float starter option. Your first time floating is very different from your second and third time.

I wasn't sure if it would be too hot. It turns out it was so relaxing I fell asleep in like 10 minutes!! I think since my head was out of the chamber, the heat was tolerable and I woke up drenched in sweat!! I had that buzzy endorphin feel after working out! David and his mother who run it are really nice, helpful and passionate about what they do. David was able to explain the whole process and how the far infrared sauna works. They both were really kind and happily took the my time answering questions. It was not packed, but they were steadily busy when I went. The next day I went to finally try the sauna, which I was very excited about since pretty much all saunas at gym locations were off limits due to covid, which not only do they clean the rooms, but they also place fresh new towels even if you don't use them, they also sanitize everything, so you don't have to worry about covid at this place. When I got there I was greeted by the man behind the desk (didn't get his name) and not only was he nice, but also very professional. Once it was time to go to the room he explained to me how it works and they gave me extra time since it was my first to get relaxed and understand the heating controls. Once the session was over I was asked how I felt and I was made sure I enjoyed my time. I wasn't pressured to get a membership or anything... I honestly didn't know what to expect coming here and when I first saw the pricing online I thought it was a little pricey, but the pure professionalism of this place is just too good, not to mention the health benefits of the sauna itself. I absolutely recommend this place!

After a 4 hour drive, I walked through the door and was warmly welcomed by Tiffany, the Practice Manager. I sighed a deep exhale of relief and said to myself, "This is where I need to be." The entrance area of Blue Water Wellness creates ease and inspires relaxation. Its soft cascading water feature invited me to be in the present moment and leave the stress of everyday life behind. Attention to detail, styling and the utmost cleanliness was visible throughout. My massages with Brian were unique and personalized to suit my specific health needs. Brian has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in holistic therapy. His passion for helping his clients was evident during the time he dedicated to engage in conversation with me. Brian is a true healer! I had my first experience with Floatation Therapy at Blue Water Wellness. Having flaring physical symptoms from Lyme Disease and many autoimmune issues, floating allowed my whole body to naturally decompress. I felt weightless with no tension, joint or muscular pain. I was truly amazed that within 10 minutes of floating my pain began to diminish until there was no pain at all. I also experienced a profound calmness of the mind. I was at total peace. Afterward my skin and hair felt silky and my body rejuvenated. I benefited from this experience so much that I booked a second float session. This time my body and mind actually knew how to relax into the float and there was no physical pain throughout the entire session. Another day I sat in a comfortable recliner for an IV infusion administered by Nurse Haley. She took the upmost care and sanitary precautions in prepping me for the infusion. Haley couldn't do enough for me throughout the duration of the IV. Another professional and dedicated staff member you will find at Blue Water Wellness. I look forward to my return trip to Blue Water Wellness. Thank you Tiffany for scheduling my sessions during my stay in Newburyport and for being my personal concierge. You, Brian and Haley worked together as a team to nourish both my mind and body. For this, I am deeply grateful! A very special thank you to Dr. Keith Ablow who has truly been one of the greatest blessings in my life!!!

You also choose from a list of soundscapes such as ocean noises, jungle, Pink Floyd and more, that can also be turned off. You must shower before floating and cannot use conditioner. I'm not sure how much time you get exactly but I've always had enough time to shower and get in before the "welcome, your float is starting" notification. Ear plugs are a must because getting any of the heavily salted water in your ears sucks. I always use the ring hanging in the tank to float my head on, so I can relax my neck. The 90 minutes goes by surprisingly fast and I almost always doze off. The lovely voice will let you know when the float ends and the lights come on automatically. After you shower again, they have a room with 3 sinks/vanities with hair dryers, q tips and other items so you can get ready before re-entering the world. Highly recommend as an alternative to a massage, great self care option to add to the mix.

The man of the husband-wife duo owners was very nice and informative. The young guy working in the shop would say "welcome back" as patrons emerged from the room. I think that sentiment alone is telling of the experience. Floating is awkward in the first few minutes. Your body isn't use to it so it's like the "uhhh what do I do with my hands" type of feeling. The pod is closed while you float in an epsom salt bath that was 92 degrees.
