Coffee is that one commodity that I don't need to have, but I most certainly like to have, especially to power through busy weekends where the itinerary requires more energy out of me than I can naturally provide. This Capital One Cafe makes it all the more compelling and cost-saving for me to conquer the beastly Galleria Parking Deck in order to get a 16 oz honey lavender latte for 50% off using my Capital One credit or debit card! Anytime I go in there, the baristas are friendly and fast. Oftentimes, there are seasonal drinks, too; I've tried the summer ube latte, and it was delicious! (and kept me up for FOREVER it seemed!). There's plenty of seating available for folks to work, socialize or simply enjoy their own company. It's always clean, well-lit, and the art donning the walls are snippets of Houston life (eye spy a portrait of White Linen Night in the Heights). read more

My husband and I stopped by while visiting Houston, and this was also our first time at a Capital One Café! We were pleasantly surprised how spacious it was. We ordered matcha and coffee, then relaxed at a common table, but they have desks, couches, and private rooms as well! We noticed several people working on their laptops and a family in one of the private rooms -- it's a welcoming space for everyone! The café is open to anyone, but Capital One and Discover cardholders receive 50% off their beverages. What a treat! read more

After two weeks, I finally was lucky this Monday in that I was told their Matcha was back in stock! However, my unlucky-ness hit when I found out after waiting 20 minutes for my drink to be made that someone had taken my matcha. While I was stunned to hear that, the baristas quickly reassured me that they would have my drink out quickly, and I wish I had gotten their names because their attitude and positivity sincerely made me forget about my wait! As promised, they had it out almost instantly, and even apologized, even though it was not their fault at all! read more

I've visited other Capital One Cafés before and generally enjoyed the experience, but this particular location could use some improvement--especially when it comes to service. When I approached the counter to place my order, the staff member didn't greet me or offer a friendly opening like "How can I help you?" or "What can I get started for you?" Instead, they just stared, waiting for me to speak. It felt awkward and a bit unwelcoming--basic customer service really goes a long way, even during slower hours. To be fair, someone did greet us when we entered the café, though I'm not sure if it was another staff member or the Capital One Ambassador. One consistent issue I've run into (not just at this location) is that they're frequently out of ingredients for the Honey Lavender Latte, which is frustrating. It's clearly a popular drink, so it's disappointing to find it unavailable--even when arriving early in the day. If it's regularly featured, it should be regularly stocked. That said, the space itself is great--plenty of seating, spacious tables, and private rooms make it ideal for studying or working. It's also relatively quiet, which I appreciate. However, the food options are overpriced and underwhelming. Overall, the café still offers a comfortable environment, but the customer service, inventory consistency, and food offerings could definitely be improved to match the potential of the space. read more

Honestly this place is great! I wish they had more locations in Houston but the only one I know of is the one inside of the galleria. I really enjoy the fact that they give out freebies like today I got a tote bag, bracelets, and diy pinwheel fan. I got a vanilla matcha with cinnamon and whipped cream which was pretty good and the best part is that they give you 50% off if you have a capital one card! Also on Monday's you can get your drink for free. read more

Very nice place to study and get a coffee! I impressed by how good this coffee place is. They have lots of table, chess games and conference rooms and if you have an account with capital one you get 50% off the beverages and service was very friendly read more

Smaller than I anticipated but lots of seating if you want a place to lounge and hang with someone while you sip your drinks or to get work done. Only one or two "meeting" rooms so you have to be lucky to get one of those. Otherwise, there's lots of outlets elsewhere to plug in your devices. Also the food was rather good! Too bad the food isn't half off for cardholders too, just the drinks. They also have little table top games. read more

This place has been going downhill I visit it every time I go to the Galleria to get a drink Lately, the baristas have been very slow (there were me in the line and there were like three baristas that were not doing much) .. after some time, someone finally came but obviously with an attitude.. not sure what I did to offend him To top it off, while I wait for the coffee, I saw someone coming out of the bathroom. It needed a code so I asked a rep for the code- she asked if I saw someone came out, I said yes, she then very abruptly and unkindly said I suppose to hold the door open when the other person came out- I am like I was by the coffee place which was pretty far away from the bathroom. Also, what's the point of a code if we are just supposed to let the next person in? Please do better. I have a Capital One card that I use frequently. Believe it or not, this experience does change how I feel about Capital One overall read more

The Capital One Café inside the Galleria is a surprisingly calm spot in the middle of all the mall chaos. The space is clean, modern, and has plenty of comfortable seating. It's a great place to recharge literally and figuratively since there are outlets everywhere and the Wi-Fi is solid. The only downside is that it can get a little busy during peak shopping hours, especially on weekends, so seating can fill up fast. But outside of rush times, it's one of the more peaceful places in the Galleria to sit, study, or get work done. Overall, a great spot for coffee, a quiet break, or a productive hour in the middle of the mall. read more

The drinks are great! And you get a discount if you use capital one credit card. But what's wrong with staff? Are they all Gen Zs? Looking for a comfortable space to relax, refuel, or get some work done? Well, look no further because there's Capital One Cafe inside the Houston Galleria just a few shops down from Apple! This was the perfect recharge for me after some retail therapy. They serve Verve Coffee and a small food menu, with cardholder discounts and specials every now and then. Great thing to know- you don't have to be a cardholder to enjoy the cafe. There are ambassadors there to help answer any questions if you'd please, but other than that they let you stay and do your thing. There are many work spaces/nooks to choose from, some more open than others, and they have free WiFi. This casual cafe always has great drinks to enjoy and cool events including stuff like celebration of summer solstice. They have several seating areas with both booths and tables, good for a solo outing or a small group. I believe you can also book ahead and reserve a space for events in one of their meeting rooms if you're a non-profit, student, or alumni organization. The summer drinks are so refreshing! I've always been a fan of their matcha latte and cold brew, but the summer drinks are so refreshing. I tried the Creamsicle Spritz and the sweetened citrus creme with the sparkling water was thirst quenching. There's also the Citrus Creme Flash Brew and Valencia Shakerato on the special summer menu. I've never had their food items so I cannot attest to that, but do find myself back in this cafe whenever I'm at the mall. read more

Some friends visited town and we went to the galleria. They wanted a drink so we went to the capital one cafe. There was a guy giving out coupons for a free drink from the cafe so I tried their matcha latte. I didn't know that it comes unsweetened unless you specify. The staff asked me if I wanted to add any sweeteners but I thought they meant in addition. The matcha latte was kinda mid to me. Adding cane sugar packets couldn't save it. read more

Standard capital one cafe: nice staff and games for kids. Good WiFi and working areas. Just note that because it's in a mall, parking is a hike if you're looking only to go to the cafe. Matcha was great, about $3.50 after the discount. Bathrooms available also. read more

I frequent this cafe quite often to get work done. As a capital one card user, I get 50% off hand crafted drinks, which is super nice. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so I can't speak on the quality of the drinks. However, my go to is the matcha, and it is pretty solid. It's a modern and well decorated cafe with plenty of seating options. Not once did I struggle to find a spot, even on a busy weekend. And my favorite part, there are lots of outlets! They also have meeting booths for use. Everybody is super friendly and welcoming. They also have nice bathrooms, but you will have to ask for a code to use them. read more

A cozy little cafe on the second floor of the Galleria mall, it's located where the Microsoft store used to reside. It is very obviously owned by Capitol One and if you have a Capitol One card and pay with it, you get 50% off your order! That is a pretty good lure, haha... Love the atmosphere and it doesn't get the long lines like other coffee chains I won't mention by name here. I went on a Tuesday night on a whim while passing by and it was quiet with a few seated patrons. There are seats and tables throughout the space and was overall very welcoming and clean. The bank does do some business there but the cafe itself seemed to be the main thing. They do offer a few baked goods along with drinks - tea, coffee, juices/lemonades - of the simpler sort, though they do have seasonal flavors. They exclusively serve Peet's Coffee. I wanted to get the brown sugar matcha drink but their ice maker was having problems so I opted for the chai latte. I got a large, no ice and paid around $7... so not exactly cheap - if you have a Capitol One card, use it! Once I got the drink after a short period of waiting, I noticed they used a powder mix and it wasn't shaken very well. At all. Perhaps because there were no ice cubes to mix with? I could have mixed up some chai latte powder into milk at home as well. Needless to say, I think it's overpriced and mediocre in taste. HOWEVER, it is a nice "little" place and they do have clean restrooms - 2 separate, unisex rooms. I do hope to return and try the matcha I originally had my eye on. There was one lady who was doing it all herself, so kudos to her! But maybe get a blender bottle and shake it in that next time. NOTE: they'll be having a $1 happy hour after Christmas, regardless of whether or not you have a CO card. :) read more

I had the hardest time finding this place in the galleria I think because Google Maps doesn't know where it is - it suggests that it is near the Cheesecake Factory... I would recommend using the mall kiosk to get directions to navigate within the mall. In actuality it is like two doors down from the Apple Store. The cafe signage is pretty muted so it's easy to miss it walking by. The cafe is nice and quiet. Busy but not crowded. They had a promotion the day I went where if you filled out the survey, you get a free drink. There are helpful staff around the store to orient you and be a resource, but they aren't pushy to convert you into a customer. The baristas are very nice and your drinks come out within a few minutes. Plenty of seating, although most of the remaining seating were communal couches on Black Friday. There's also a restroom inside. Overall a great place to take refuge on a shopping spree. Excellent value on drinks if you get the 50% as a Capital One cardholder. read more

A nice place to study or work among all of the hustle of the Galleria. Usually not too loud inside but bring noise cancelling headphones if you want to really focus. The coffee selection is not too extensive, but it has all of the basics and coming from a not a connoisseur, it tastes fine. I am really not sure what the workers who are not behind the coffee bar do. They stand around and greet people or talk amongst themselves. However, you do need to ask them to unlock the restroom for you every time, which is annoying and why I deducted a star. read more

After a long afternoon of shopping in the Galleria mall we accidentally stumbled upon this gem of a coffee lounge located near the Apple Store. Comfortable chairs, a beautiful setting with a chill vibe is exactly what you need to rest your weary feet. Upon entering this gorgeous coffee lounge, I was immediately struck by the trendy and modern decor. The walls were adorned with unique artwork, and the seating area was comfortable and spacious. Wait until you see the bathrooms. 5 Stars in cleanliness and experience. The real star of the show was the coffee that we ordered. We ordered two iced lattes and was impressed by the barista's attention to detail in producing a smooth, rich latte. Don't know if we were just thirsty and need a caffeine boost but we've had numerous lattes from the Starbucks locations in the mall and never been this impressed. In addition to the delicious latte, the lounge also offered a variety of fresh pastries that looked absolutely mouthwatering. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the food on my next visit. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the vibe of the Capital One Lounge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee in a trendy setting. Whether you're looking for a quick pick-me-up or a place to relax and unwind, this lounge is definitely worth checking out. PRO TIP: You don't have to be a Capital One member to visit and hang out in this lounge. read more

This is my 3 time visiting this place and I do like it , the coffee is great and half off to Capital one members. It's a cute place to do hw or business meetings. Today was my first time encountering a rude employee , which made me get up and leave. I had been sitting down for almost a hour or so , when I sit down I sit criss cross applesauce or with one leg under my other leg. I was in a meeting when one of the ladies ( I didn't get her name but she is a average size brown skin woman with a bob type hairstyle) came up to me and said I needed to put my legs down. Me and the person next me (someone I didn't know ) was very confused, I go to coffee shops all over Houston and have never had anyone say anything to me about the way I sit. I put my legs down and but she continuously stared at me and keep walking by and then proceeds to tell her coworker that she had to correct me. This made me feel very uncomfortable and I just left. I don't think I would be visiting here anymore read more

The cafe space is exceptionally well designed and is a great choice for anyone looking to relax when at the mall, get some work done, or just chat with friends. The people here are very welcoming and are happy to answer any questions you have about the place and banking in general. However, if you enjoy coffee in any capacity, I would not recommend the coffee based drinks here at all. We got an iced mocha that tasted nothing like mocha. It tasted really burnt, and we would not have even known it was a mocha if you didn't tell us. I also got an iced brown sugar oat milk cold brew with jelly, and even the cold brew tastes burnt and harsh (which is quite hard to do with cold brew). The syrups may cover up the taste, but I still would not pay full price for this. In summary, the coffee here is actually more burnt than Starbucks...so would not drink off the coffee menu anymore. The vibe is clean and modern, with an acceptable amount of wall outlets. The people are great, and that's mainly why I still give it 4 stars. read more
