Matcha latte
Melissa H.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge. I ended up finding a spot in a nearby neighborhood. Once inside, though, the experience was smooth. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the matcha latte delivered a pleasantly grassy flavor without being overly sweet. A solid stop for matcha lovers, just be prepared to hunt a little for parking.

I visited this location after an afternoon walk and can't believe how many times I've passed here. It is located in a hot spot of Upper Kirby and pretty small compared to its other locations. Parking is horrible. There is maybe 4-5 slots in its smaller parking lot and the rest is residential street parking. The main road has continuous traffic and there were some blocks on the street preventing patrons from parking there. Once inside, the tone changed. It was quiet, very clean, and included friendly service. They have some patio tables located outside as well as a few inside. I ordered the Lavender Bloom Matcha Latte with a shot of espresso, and a Butterfly Matcha Latte. I loved the Lavander bloom a lot more. The sweetness is subtle and the espresso shot gave a good wake up kick. If in a pinch, I would visit their sister locations just to minimize dealing with the traffic but overall an okay experience.

They had a cute love theme for their cups and gave everyone roses with their drinks. It was so nice. I love all the La La Land cafes

Really good coffee spot. Not overrated at all! Service was friendly and fast. Tough parking at this location.

Ya knowwww. I don't necessarily get the hype. But I also appreciate how early they open, the variety of beverages to choose from, and basically they have options! I visited when they first released the Keith Lee beverage in support of the flood victims. I ordered that match drink annddd it hit! So I eventually downloaded the app! V v convenient and you can gain points towards free ish!. The parking is almost non existent and the street parking doesn't really exist because they have street signs stating you can't park. Anyway they have mostly indoor seating and a little outdoor seating. I think its best to order your bev and pick it up.

Finding a parking spot was a problem. Parking is VERY limited, and even parking on the street is difficult. I lucked out and finally got a parking spot right in front of the store after waiting for a bit. My drink was fine, but nothing special - no house-made syrups here. There were only about four or five people in front of me. However, the wait was long because they had many LARGE online orders. So those of us that ordered in person had to stand around and wait for awhile (including people picking up those orders). I might not have noticed that so much if I had not had to deal with the parking situation just to get inside. Because the parking overall is so limited, I would not come back here for this reason. If the drinks were mind blowing it would be different, To be clear, the drink was good, just not above average and NOT worth dealing with the parking situation.

Lavender bloom pretty good most the time but when you mix it you get an unaesthetic brown so take pics beforehand

Been pretty good so far. Sometimes it's a miss but that's always depending on the worker. Sometimes it's a little too milky. They definitely put way too much ice though. I'm paying 8 dollars for 90% ice 5% matcha or espresso and 5% milk. The heart straws and cups are cute, but the font and designs are hella outdated. It still looks like it's in 2020. And it's sweet they wanna be super positive but when they tell random people I love you it feels kinda funny lol. Workers are always nice and they look pretty diverse. But the customers are always so ignorant

Banana Cloud Latte

Coffee was hands down amazing. My iced banana cloud latte has 3 shots of espresso and worth every penny. I will say parking is a bit of a hassle and I did not see a drive thru option. Overall if your in the area make a pit stop to give them a try.

Had seen this new cute location. Sadly, La La Land has lost the charm it once had. The food didn't taste as good as it has in the past, and the overall experience felt disappointing. We weren't greeted upon arrival, and the space didn't feel welcoming. The location was visibly unclean, and essentials like napkins and silverware were not available Unfortunately, it no longer has the warmth or quality I once enjoyed.

This was my first time visiting this coffee franchise. I was influenced by Keith Lee. This location's parking is horrible. It is located on the corner of a residential street. There are only about five parking spots outside of the business. Parking on the residential street is hard and there are several signs that say, "no parking or do not block," in front of the houses. Once inside it is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff were friendly. This location was definitely busy. All of the tables were full and a long line formed after I had ordered my drink. I ordered the small Keith Lee Matcha and paid $8.28. I had never had matcha until my visit here. I must say matcha is an acquired taste. It is not sweet, has an earthy taste, I liked the hint of salt, and enjoyed the strawberry. I'm happy I tried it and the proceeds are going to a great cause. However, matcha is not for me or maybe I needed to add a flavor. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service. I will try this coffee shop again, but a different location due to the parking.

I was excited to try the drinks here. Granted I visited two days after Christmas. Post holiday rush was in full force, and my visit was about one hour prior to closing. Parking was atrocious as is to be expected in this area of Houston. The ladies behind the counter looked like they were working very quickly to put out all of the orders, but may have been overwhelmed. Some drinks were partially filled, and I observed a customer asking for more in their drink. It also seems like no one's picking up trash. Receipts, tons of old spills that have never been cleaned up. Also not a strike against them but either their online ordering system is way efficient or people just forgot about their drinks? I saw drinks sitting there in the entire time while I was waiting (20 minutes) with condensation just soaking the receipt. Blueberry muffin was basic. The La La Latte was delicious! My daughter also loved her strawberry cooler. I may try another location in the future.

La La Land Kind Cafe has such a vibrant esthetic and unique beverages. Working remotely we occasionally have to go in office and on this day a coworker came with coffee/tea for the team. I had their Strawberry Fields Matcha Latte and it was delightful. Everyone else enjoyed their beverages as well. Great treat for us remote workers coming in office for the day lol.

The banana cloud matcha here is so refreshing and yummy! Even if you're not a big banana person, the flavor isn't too overpowering and you still get a good bit of the matcha taste with just a hint of banana. I absolutely love LalaLand. It's so cheery, bright and always so positive in here. You'll fit right in!

People are very polite but do follow the courtesy of waiting to find a table until after they order, since it can get a little busy. Overall, they are quick with coffee orders with a variety of pastries. Parking is difficult (but it is Montrose!), so anticipate adding a little time to your drive to find a spot. Grinder's Coffee Bar came up and it was right across the street so I made my way over. I arrived around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I parked in their small complimentary lot and made my way inside. Ambiance (3.5/5): Grinder's is basically two spots in one. When you walk in, there's a small counter where you place your order. And a handful of seats. From there, you wan walk into a more spacious second room that houses a CBD shop. And more seating along with the bathroom. I sat at a couch in the CBD area. While weed isn't my thing, if you're into both weed and coffee, that makes for a nice one-two punch for you. There isn't a ton of seating, less so than most coffee shops. Luckily, since it was a weekday, I didn't have any trouble. I wonder if that's different on the weekends. They also have free WiFi if you'd like to linger and work or study. Service (2.5/5): The menu is a little confusing because they have a menu on the counter and a menu on the wall with different items. I didn't see that there was a menu on the counter until I was about to place an order. They also have some beverages in a cooler that aren't on either menu. Not the best set up. Service wasn't terribly friendly either. Food (N/A): Since I just had lunch prior, no food for me. They have a small, but appetizing number of pastries and small bites for sale if you get the munchies (pun intended). Drinks (3.5/5): I'm not a coffee drinker so take this with a grain of salt. When I go to a coffee shop, I like coffee shops that still have a nice selection of teas and juices. Grinder's has a small number of teas that can be made either hot or iced. I went with one, iced, and sweetened with agave (for a surcharge). I liked it and the price was reasonable. They also had a mocktail of sorts that was available on their seasonal menu, although like most mocktails, overpriced. While not really my vibe, if you're a CBD person, Grinder's will be right up your alley. It's a unique spot and located in a great part of town.
