Welcome to Canton.

I am seriously impressed by my first visit to Canton Restaurant for takeout. Happily they are just a three mile ride from my apartment and it took only 5 minutes to get here. Unfortunately they are in a shopping center that is virtually closed down due to COVID which made parking a snap, but they loose all the walk by traffic. They are very close to a few major developments so they still seem to have a robust pickup. I am extremely impressed with the signs reminding people that "MASKS ARE MANDATORY!" Multiple signs outside and multiple signs inside along with marking on the floor for six feet spacing. This is a cute shop with a few tables and chairs which they currently have closed off. They built a plastic wall for separation between staff and customers and have a big bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter for you to use as soon as you come in. Now, lets talk about the food. I made made my standard order of Wonton-Eggdrop mix soup and and a Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. No mater where I am this seems to be my goto. I was impressed with all the food and being a Long Islander, that carries some weight. Soup was rich and tasty and the two wontons were excellent. The egg roll was tasty and not greasy at all. Main meal of was delicious!!! Two large pancakes with a delicious sauce. I am used to the light brown gravy and they serve a darker and a little sweeter gravy. I reminded me of a hot and sour sauce. It was really good. Pancakes were not greasy at all and they gave me plenty of fried rice with ample pieces of pork. The service was perfect and the food cooked in just a few minutes. They really scored points on my first visit here which will definitely not be my last.

Excellent Chinese food! We have ordered delivery from here several times and have had a few of their dishes and family combos. Their family combo prices are a steal for the amount of food you get. We got the combo C once and it lasted 4 or 5 meals. Tasted good reheated as well. I love how quick and easy the order placing process is. The lady who answers the phone is very polite and nice. She doesn't rush you off the phone like some other people from other restaurants do. Their delivery is very quick. They usually quote us 45 minutes but it takes about 20-30. Dinner combos come with rice and soup but you can sub out soup for egg rolls like we do sometimes. Their Krab Rangoons have a different thicker wrapper than most I've seen but they're still tasty. Just a little crunchier. Favorite dishes are general tso's, honey garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken!

Dirty, the carton box for food is not convenient, leaks oil. Too expensive for the amount of food

Excellent local Chinese restaurant. I am disabled, with a rare inherited type of leukodystrophy,…read moreso I rely on food deliveries and Ming Wah has excellent food & service. In particular, I enjoy their Cantonese style dishes. Like the fact that, unlike most south Florida Chinese restaurants, they use white meat in their Orange Chicken and do not have a lot of extraneous stuff, like peas, in their fried rice. My health aide often orders from them as well & also enjoys the food. We order direct from the restaurant. Very nice people too!

Ming Wah - Tamarac: I'd heard whispers for years about this hole-in-the-wall Peruvian-Chinese spot…read morebut always drove right past it--mostly because, let's be honest, the place looks like it hasn't seen a renovation since Nixon was in office. But curiosity finally won, and I'm glad it did. Ming Wah is pure old-school Chifa: no frills, unapologetically greasy, and weirdly charming. I ordered the fried wontons, the sopa de wantan especial, and the mixed chaufa (fried rice with pork, chicken, and shrimp). All solid. The soup especially was generous and surprisingly hearty--the small size ($8.95) could easily feed two, and the large is enough for four. The chaufa had all the right notes: smoky, just enough wok hei, and not overloaded with salt or MSG like you sometimes get at Chifa Taypa. That might actually be a plus for some folks--it's flavorful without being a sodium bomb. The fried wontons were crisp and classic. Nothing fancy, but they scratched the itch. The menu is tight for Chifa standards--hits all the usual suspects--but they've also got a full American-Chinese menu for those who want their General Tso fix. Prices are more than fair: $25 got me all three dishes, with regular-sized portions. The phone rang off the hook with takeout orders while I was there, and dine-in seems secondary. If you do eat in, leave a tip--these folks are working hard, and from what I saw, they're not seeing much appreciation from the dine-in crowd. Service was prompt and the teenage girl working the front (presumably the daughter of the owners) speaks perfect English and was very nice.

11/22/25 Evening. This was my second time here, and this visit I decided to try something…read moredifferent, something I've never ordered before. I was craving duck, so I went with the tea smoked duck along with the pork fried rice (no peas), and crab rangoon for appetizer. I was glad that they had fountain soda, as most Chinese restaurants do not and only have cans. Overall, the meal was solid. The food tasted good, and the service was even better. My waitress checked in on me regularly, which I really appreciated, just enough to make sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive. All in all, I enjoyed my meal and the experience. I'll most likely be back again.

When I sat down to eat there was a small ant on my plate, so not a good start. I looked this place…read moreup after I left and apparently they failed a health inspection and were closed at the end of Sept. 2025. So I guess the ant makes sense. I felt the veggies in the lo mein were under cooked. I could taste the cornstarch in the orange chicken like they used too much, but overall it was the best dish we got there. The beef and broccoli was just fine. It felt pretty expensive for what it was about $16-$18 per dish. The food did come out FAST once we ordered so that was great. Server wasn't rude but also wasn't very outgoing. Ambiance was completely lacking. Wont be back.
