    Shredded Chicken Tacos

So Cantina is a staple go to for students at the University of Michigan! So I'm currently disabled and they have a service elevator which made my experience even better! I came here for taco Tuesday of course! The tacos here are delicious and the drinks hit the spot. A must try is the infused tequila margarita! If you're ever interested in grabbing tacos with friends + karaoke then this is your place to go!

My friends and I had a blast last night for their Tuesday night $2 tacos, $5 margaritas, and karaoke. Food was stellar, drinks were good, and music was beyond entertaining. Personally, I went for Love Story by Taylor Swift with a friend. Catch me here next week!!!

The taquitos tasted like frozen Costco food with additional toppings on top, but I'm not complaining because they still taste good and you get what you pay for on taco Tuesday. The tacos were pretty average; definitely not bad. The Baja shrimp tacos were probably the best tacos there.

This store took my friends card and proceeded to act like they didn't know they had his card then kicked us out when they found his card. This is an awful establishment and doesn't deserve YOURE money. They are awful people and workers. Do not test them!

Went for taco Tuesday deals with my bff and I can say that we were thoroughly satisfied! Wait for food took longer than expected considering there weren't a lot of people. Drinks were good! I highly recommend the raspberry peach $3.50 frozen margaritas! Tacos were good too (I got the shredded chicken and chorizo and my friend got the fish and carnitas) but I wouldn't get them outside the deal. Overall atmosphere was good and you should definitely take advantage of the deals to maximize the experience.

I came here for Taco Tuesday when all tacos are $2.50! Their website still says they only serve tacos until 10PM but they're trying to extend taco sales past 10PM for the first time. It was hard to miss this place, especially since they have a giant banner hanging outside advertising their award-winning tacos. I was expecting some mind-blowing tacos but they honestly fell kind of short. I tried every taco on the menu except for the black bean and the potato, which they ran out of. I liked that they gave a lot of filling for each double wrapped taco but I felt that some of the meats were too dry or tasteless. I surprisingly really liked the shredded chicken taco, it had a great tinga sauce that complimented the chicken really well. I also really liked the fried fish taco, but I could be biased because all fish tacos taste great to me. If you're looking for a super good taco, La Torre has this place beat in terms of both price and taste. Torre's tacos have better meats and more authentic tortillas at a price cheaper than the Cantina taco Tuesday price. I wouldn't come to Cantina for tacos at the regular price. However, if you're looking to get drunk and eat tacos at the same time, Cantina is a great place to do just that. Their 48 oz shipwrecks are comparable to the fishbowls at Charleys downstairs - they're huge and delicious. I tried the purple rose and the blue wave. The latter is better tasting than the first and the bright blue color made it more aesthetically appealing. We happened to be here as Cantina was transitioning to being a "night spot" so the DJ was already playing, the tables were starting to be moved, and an employee came around to stamp our hands mid meal.

I've been to Cantina once at a time where they charged cover to drink mediocre frozen margs and watch college kids act a fool. We came in to try the food, because who doesn't like tacos. Place wasn't busy so we were seated quickly and our waiter was very nice. I ordered the Cuba Libre cocktail (white rum, crushed lime and Mexican coke) and I loved it. Sister and her fiance though the frozen margs were decent this time. We all ordered two tacos a piece; myself the smoked pork belly and chorizo. Waiter came by apologizing for the wait because it took forever to get them, saying the kitchen didn't think they'd be busy tonight so they have two guys back there. Um...ok. I've had better tacos at Taco Bell. The tortilla for the smoked pork belly taco was hard, and it shouldn't be. Couldn't detect a hint of smoke and it was served with cold sauteed onions and rock hard canned pineapple piece. The chorizo was more likely a poorly seasoned ground beef, but I do have to say the onion straws were good. Also, the chips they give you complimentary are crazy salty and they don't give you salsa, you have to go get it yourself. Odd. Oh, and everything was cold. They're lucky the waiter was nice and the drink was good; otherwise this was 1 star worthy.

Preview of some of the drinks I ordered. Strawberry margarita gets a 10/10

I really want to love Fraser's…read more I dig dive bars. I'm into local neighborhood spots. I enjoy beer and burgers and deep fried things. While I'm not that into sports, I can appreciate a good sports bar. Perhaps that's the critical piece here. This seems to be a really fun place to watch a Michigan football game on one of the 10,000 TVs. Even a minor game where not much is at stake will have patrons cheering at every moderately good play. But Brandon A. suggested Fraser's has "great burgers, excellent beer selection, great drinks at fantastic prices and great service...as long as you abide by one simple rule: don't be an asshole." That hasn't been my experience. They have adequate burgers, but there are significantly tastier and cheaper burgers available in town. The beer list is fine, but I have yet to find anyplace in Ann Arbor with an actually excellent beer selection. Admittedly I'm spoiled by my favorite small tap room which is several states over, and I miss deeply. However, it did give me an appreciation for what it means for a place to have an excellent beer selection. My Euchre Pils was $7 and served in a plastic cup. Maybe I'm old, but that does not feel like a fantastic price. And the service? On my most recent visit it took a long time for anyone to come by with menus, and an even longer time before anyone returned to take a food order. I tried flagging down a server, but none were making eye contact. It appears the servers work in some kind of zone defense, as every part of our experience seemed to be handled by a different person. It was uncomfortable to the point where we felt unwelcome and considered leaving. But we had already been there so long we were committed to seeing it out. For the record, I'm not an asshole. I still tipped over 25% on the food. I can't say I'm a fan of the 4% fee to use a credit card, or the $.75 charge for a little side of mayo for the fries. All told, it was $50 for two burgers, one beer, and an onion ring up-charge. Not exactly a cheap meal. So far I've braved the burgers, I've sampled the sliders, and sunk my teeth into a sandwich. I've tried the fries and onion rings. Everything was just kinda okay, but nothing has risen to the level of "ooh that's good". What am I missing? I want to love the place. It's close to where I live, which makes it mighty convenient, but unless someone can offer me a compelling reason to give it another try, I'm unlikely to return.

They had chopped onions, jalapenos, banana peppers, sauerkraut etc. and lots of sauces. I LOVED the brat. It was easy to bite and not super snappy which I didn't mind. The bun was perfectly toasted and the flavor combination was delicious. Kind of like a broccoli cheddar vibe. I had some of the currywurst which was also delicious! The chili was packed with brisket and pulled pork, and was really tasty. There is a bar so you can enjoy a beer with your sausage, but we just grabbed some cold drinks from the cooler. They even have ice cream and floats!! There are lots of great items for sale as well, including lots of pickled things, frozen pierogi, meat sticks and jerky, and they even have Trenary Toast (#iykyk). What I do love about Ann Arbor is that they balance out the drunk haunts of young adults with great restaurants and high end bars for the people looking for more than a pitcher of cheap beer. Rabbit Hole is one of those spots. Down the same little alley way as Circ Bar, this underground bar is tucked away, stone hallways and open up and lead to different openings that provide seating, a dance floor and an amazingly stocked bar. If you like bourbon you will love this spot. Our bartender was fantastic, absolutely worked with me on working out a drink. I know I took a pic of an espresso martini, but my drink was made perfect also. There's really no other word I can think of but condescending when describing our waitress. She not only had attitude every time she came to our table, but always seemed bothered to come check on us. I moved my chair around the table to have a better view of the game and she rudely confronted me saying I needed to move it out of the aisle- "I'm going to tell you right now, you or that chair cannot be there." Her attitude was a recurring theme throughout the evening. We ordered the Nachos and Pizza Bites appetizers, both of which came out in a timely manner and were warm. The Nachos were my favorite, there were enough toppings for all the chips which I know isn't always the case when you order nachos. The Pizza Bites were okay, they didn't have a lot of flavor, even with the ranch and marinara sauce provided. I want to give them another chance but will definitely not be recommending this place to others. I'm disappointed because they are conveniently located off Packard, right off the main drag into downtown Ann Arbor, and far enough away to avoid gameday traffic. Surprisingly, the crowd was pretty sparse for a Lions Sunday, maybe because it was an 8:20 game. The building itself was clean, but I did notice the bathroom had a pile of stuff on the ground (cleaning supplies? extra toilet paper maybe?) and there were no speakers piped into the restroom like most bars, so there was no way to follow the game during a quick bathroom break. Lastly, I have to mention their jersey giveaways. Right before the game finished, the bartender announced that number x had won the jersey giveaway. Me and my party were shocked because we had not been notified of a giveaway at all and because there were so few people, we probably had a good chance to win. I wouldn't put it past our waitress that she didn't care to tell us, given her already rude demeanor, but that is extremely upsetting that she couldn't even have informed customers of what we later found out to be a weekly special on gamedays. Turns out, you have to buy a certain beer to be entered into the raffle. That being said, if you go on gameday, don't expect them to notify you or advertise the specials...take the initiative and ask yourself. Or, in all honesty, take your business somewhere else that has better food and will gladly let you participate in their specials.
