I can't tell you how many times I've been here, because I went to school long before my days of Yelp'ing, but it's definitely around 6 to 7. From drunken college nights, to celebrating Wolverine victories or drowning our sorrows in alcohol from a Michigan loss, this place always seems to fit the bill. Lol. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right off of East University is this gem. Nice outdoor seating when the weather is right, but... it's a college bar, so they are very strict about checking IDs, almost every time I've been here. Lol. There isn't much to the decoration or the appearance because... who really cares when all you want is cheap drinks and cheap food. Fair enough. Lots of Michigan memorabilia strewn around inside to showcase the school spirit of course. The restaurant is quite elongated though. The main bar area is all up front along with a few wooden booths. Beyond the bar is another dining after you go down some steps. Booths and tables line either side of you as you walk down the center toward where the kitchen and bathrooms are. Service: We sat at the bar, so service was pretty good. I can't remember the young lady's name, but she took great care of us. Our food came out quickly, drinks were flowing and everything went well. Food: Surprisingly, their menu is massive. The drink menu is even more massive. Lol. There's certainly something for everyone here. I went with their 2 pounds of wings. It winds up being about 20 wings which I was able to split into 4 different sauces. I was able to try their Seasoned, BBQ, Caribbean Jerk and Buffalo. Not bad. Nothing to write home or rave about, but definitely some good wings, though Buffalo was my favorite. Value: VERY good. $4.00 Long Island Iced Teas during happy hour, which is everyday from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. There's a different special every day of the week, so it'll keep you wanting to come back. The 2 pounds of wings were $16.99 which averages out to be $0.85 a wing as a normal price. SO MUCH better than the prices back east where sometimes the HAPPY HOUR specials get DOWN to $1.00 a wing. Craziness. Awesome spot on U of M's campus. If you're looking to get hammered for cheap, eat for cheap or do anything regarding food or drink for cheap... this is your spot. Just hit up their website to find out what's on special that day!

I've been told that I have a Brown Jug. Do you have any brown jugs so you can show me?

I was in the men's room. The cook has came in, peed, and left without washing his hands. Yikes. The place is a dive. We avoid it.

The service was horrible. We sat at our table for 15 minutes and no server. We ended up walking out without ever eating.

Had their French Dip Au Jus, medium (you get to choose). The beef was like butter, so very tender and sweet, the au jus was rich, deeply rich and JUST right. The bread served is home-made, too. Service is always stellar. The rest of the menu is just as good.

AMBIANCE = 4 I have read reviews that inside is dated. I am ok with it. The changes going on in Ann Arbor. It is nice to see stability. Be thankful a place weathering city transformation and not closing thier doors. If things get renovated so do the prices. With the price of food... 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 4 I had Salomon. Other two had White Fish. London Broil. No one had any complaints. Food was well flavored and enjoyed the meal. Beer was Two Hearted on tap. Good. Red wine was house and had robust flavor. 3. SERVICE = 5 Our server was on top of everything. Friendly. Not overbearing. Drinks came in good order as well as food. 4. BATHROOM = 4 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 3 On part for the times we live in. Inflation of the last 4 years created new norms. One area that tends to change is tipping. With wages for michigan getting to $15.00 all that has to play into pricing. So I give cash tips. The whole thing of putting tip pricing on the bill. I think many see it. 1. Brussel sprout appt. $15.00. 2. Meals were $27.00. If you went with steaks things get pricey. But if one follows news the beef herds are being reduced. So days of low cost beef meals are in the past. We just do not eat out as much so when we do it is a treat. 6. OBSERVATION The bar area was full. What I liked for a Thursday night is number of trades people at the bar. Parking is adequate. Not sure what a Friday or Saturday would look like... We were seated at table near bar area. One comment was we would have choose a booth the next time. Noise level in our area was loud. 7. POINTS 20 out of 25 points out. 20 to 25 = Exceeds expectations. 10 to 19 = Meets expectations. 0 to 9 = Does not meet expections

This Sunday, my mom invited myself and my siblings to join her for brunch. The ambience was amazing - with lovely natural lighting and gorgeous table settings. The menu makes every dish seem mouthwatering and delicious. When the plates came out, they were gorgeous and the food looked so inviting. Unfortunately, the taste was completely lacking. If you're going to charge the prices they're charging, the flavor should be amazing in every single bite. We sampled four different dishes, and none blew me away. Some, were even borderline "bad." Here's a rundown: mushroom pizza - the description makes it seem like it will be cheesy and full of flavor, but it was very one note duck confit pizza - had three pieces of duck on it and was otherwise covered in hot peppers lemon blueberry pancake - more of a skillet cake - sauce was the best part, otherwise dry on the bottom Raclette burger - $30 which is almost comparable in price to a burger I had at The Four Seasons in Maui. That burger, was worth every penny. This one had absolutely no flavor. The meat tasted like mush - definitely lacked seasoning, and there was not a speck of cheese to be found. If you're going to call a burger a raclette, it should be oozing with cheese. grilled Romaine salad - leaves were bitter and the dressing again, looked delicious, but had no flavor. The flavors did not compliment each other at all - with the pickled grapes, taking away from the dish and contrasting very starkly against the rotten tasting lettuce Brown sugar oat milk latte - really the only thing that delivered both on looks and on flavor. Sadly, not high on my list of places to return. It kind of made me think of Vegas: lots of pomp and glam which momentarily distracts you into thinking you're having the best time of your life. But in retrospect, not very fulfilling.
