Such a nice service to have for those of us grossed out with trash cans smelling and having things stuck to the inside. I love that I have many options for the frequency of services. For now, I chose for them to come every 6 months. They communicate very well, are an affordable price, and it's always a job well done. Thank you, Canology! read more

It was super easy and my trash bins were super clean! They got rid of all the disco rice!

Canology cleans your grungy bins, comes when they say they will come, usually answer the phone. They are nice, efficient and this service much better than dragging our bins out to the yard and wrestling with the bin, the hose....oh the mess we made! We are on a 3 month cycle, so 4x a year our bins are hosed with hot, pressurized water and as we have to roll the 3 bins through the house to get them outside again on the back deck, the cleanliness is wonderful. read more

I've been using Canology for almost 5 years. They provide great service! They send email reminders which is so helpful since we get service quarterly. They also send emails with the time frame they plan to arrive, when they're on their way, and when they've completed the service. Our garbage, compost, and recycling bins are nice and clean when they're done. I highly recommend Canology! read more

Canology does a really good job of cleaning all 4 of our refuse containers. The bins get so dirty, smelly, disgusting, especially the compost and landfill ones. They make it all better. When you call them, there's a nice, real person who answers the phone and takes care of your request on the spot. read more

I've been using Canology for a while now. I love having clean cans and they do a great job. They send reminders and updates that are very helpful. The price is worth it. read more

First service review: excellent! Received a 24 hour reminder of the appt and a link to track how many stops away my service tech was. My cans are cleaner and smell better than the first day they were delivered by Recology. Highly recommend. read more

Look over the contract as I signed up initially for the service at a discounted price of $16.95 thinking that was the cost going forward, which was not the case. It was $22.00 for the following months going forward. I requested to cancel the service and was told that there would be a $95.00 charge for the one service, if I didn't remain for the minimum of three months. This was not advertised nor shown anywhere on their web site nor was I advised of such in the initial contract. In speaking to the customer service, the person admitted that they neglected to have that advisement posted anywhere on their website. I chose to pay the three months service and cancel the remaining as I didn't have the time to argue my point with the person as I was not getting any assistance. This was by far not a good way to win a customer nor to get any recommendations for the service. Customer beware. read more

I have used Canology for several years now. They are awesome. Hands down! Very professional, they deliver as promised, excellent job, are able to accomodate last minute scheduling emergencies. Can't say enough wonderful things about them. They truly care about their customers. read more

Excellent service! They were available the next day after we made our request, arrived during the agreed window, and most importantly, our cans were spotless after service. Communication was great - enough that I felt informed but not overwhelmed. The price was reasonable, too. read more

I am totally pleased with the service provided by Canology. I just wish that I had called them sooner. My green bin was rescued from its near "biohazard" status and I no longer have to hold my breath when I walk by my bins. It is a great service and value. read more

I took advantage of a half off special for a one time cleaning of my three trash cans. Signing up was so easy. A confirmation is received right away and then they put your in a schedule. You can change it if needed. The day before you receive a text reminder and also the morning of. I did everything on my phone. I heard noises outside this morning and went to look. Power washing the cans is first. He washed inside and outside. He takes a little extra elbow grease if he sees something. Then the cans go upside down on the truck and is washed with 200 degree water. Down they come and some additional touch up. They"re drained and wiped down. A spray of deodorant is added and a nice tag that the job was complete. Nice clean cans! I would definitely do it again down the road. You can get weekly service too! Thank you, Canology! read more

I would give this 10 stars if I could. Signing up for service was a breeze. I love the communication, very thorough and up to date. We would nearly pass out every time we open our garage and compost bin. After today's cleaning, they look like new. I really don't believe it. Did they just replace mine with new ones?!?!? Highly recommend! read more

I love it. We clean quarterly. All the compost, dirty diapers, dog poop bags, BBQ ash etc really can destroy our bins. It's a literal breath of fresh air after canology cleans them out. read more

So glad I finally got around to signing up for this fabulous service. Great service, text reminder, fast work with not much water waste and clean cans (so much better than I can do on my own). Money well spent. read more

I tried this service for the first time a few weeks ago. I'm very satisfied with the job they did on my bins. The bins were absolutely disgusting and they're really clean now. Good communication and the tech (?) was very professional and attentive. I'm glad I found Canology. read more

Cans are clean! Love the customer service and real time communication. You get texts on the day of the time window that they will be there, then another that they are on their way. Professional, prompt, and helpful. I have had to change my scheduled date due to vacation and it was so easy to change. read more

I am very happy with service, and I am about to schedule them again to clean my trash and recycling bins. I had a service in October 2023, and it is Feb 2025 as I write this review (it has taken me so long to get around to writing this just because I am always really busy). At the time in Oct 2023, I had read a few reviews on Yelp that said that there was poor communication with Canology, which made me hesitate, but I scheduled them anyway because my bins were so incredibly dirty. I'm glad I did! I placed on online service order on 10/16/24. I was a bit confused regarding when the cleaning would occur, so I left a voicemail message on 10/29/23 and Carla called me back the next day with an informative answer. Shout out to Carla, I owe you a very belated thank you! Everything went smoothly. My bins were cleaned on 11/9/23 and they practically sparkled!! Today I am going to request another clearning, as my bins are struggling again (I think that's the most clever euphemism I have ever used in my life). read more

I had a really gross rotting food situation in my green waste bins and Canology saved me! I will definitely be using them again, but more regularly!! read more

I have to change my review from 5 stars to 2. The actual cleaning is great, but this company is so disorganized that I am cancelling my subscription. Endless mixups with the date of service, huge website problems and today I received a notice that my cans will be cleaned at an address in Livermore. Problem is that I live in Berkeley! There comes a point where apologies don't help anymore. read more

This was a referral from a friend. I had no idea a business like this existed. this beat me getting out there with a stiff broom and the hose trying to clean my garbage cans. The staff on the phone was very helpful and clear about the service and scheduling. They were on -time and did just what they said they would do. Watching the worker, he was meticulous in his work. Making sure the cans were really clean if that means giving a once more wash. Very satisfied. It's also reasonably priced. Will use it again. I didn't sign up for the regular quarterly service, but will definitely consider it. read more

Our experience with Canology has been great since day one. Signing up was a breeze, and I find the service they provide to be high value for the cost (the cost is very affordable). They send out reminders the week before and day before each cleaning and even allow you to track time of arrival day of cleaning. After each cleaning our bins are left fresh and good as new. No more sticky and stanky bins for us. Side note: Customer service is excellent. So helpful and polite. read more

I definitely recommend Canology. My trash cans were gross, especially the green bin. I saw a tag on a neighbor's trash can one day while walking the dog and ordered their service. They've come out twice now and my cans are spotless. This is a great service; one I'm willing to pay for. Believe me, I cleaned my cans once and that was one time too many. read more

I had my first can cleaning with Canology today. The email notifications before and after service were great. Marcus was on time, explained the process, answered my questions, and was professional. The cans, inside and out, have never been this clean and never smelled so good. The cleaning operation was clean and efficient. Exceptional service and customer service which are rare these days. It is difficult to cancel the service. They send notices via a noreply email that doesn't respond to let you know it's a no reply address. They refused to honor my email request to cancel which I made months ago and are still going to charge me for this 3rd cleaning even though I tried to cancel after my 1st cleaning. I understand I made an error but it feels as if they were being intentionally difficult to not honor my efforts to cancel. read more

Just do it. If you're like me, you looked up this company because your trash/compost/recycling bin is so gross that it's beyond what you're capable of tolerating and therefore cannot wash it yourself. Requesting service from their website was very easy. From sign up to having cleaned bins, I didn't have to interact with any person. The most difficult decision was how often to get them cleaned, but you have the flexibility to change the frequency online so you can adjust as needed. They came, they cleaned, and they left. Fast, efficient, super duper clean. I mean, like-new clean. Considering what they saved me from doing, I find their prices very, very reasonable. I signed up for the quarterly service, but might change to the monthly service just to experience the glee from clean bins. read more

I can't say enough good things about the service! This has truly been a game-changer for my household. The attention to detail was remarkable, at the end of the job they will spray the inside and outside with disinfect spray left with clean and fresh smell cans. I have already recommended the service to my family and friends, and they've had the same fantastic experience. read more

No more dragging disgusting trash bins. Canology does one thing, and they do it right. The communication is automated and seamless. You set up the service, and they come the day after your trash is picked up to clean up one or all the bins. They send reminders and are super accurate with the timing. No need to interact; just sit back and watch your compost bin getting so clean that you would feel safe taking an ice bath in it. read more

I love this service. I started by having all three of my cans cleaned on their introductory plan. They do a topnotch job, taking care to really make sure inside and out are sparkling and fresh smelling. They have quite the truck to do the job, and both times the fellow was really nice and very courteous. For my second service, my housemate forgot it was happening and put stuff in all the cans after they had been collected but before Canology could come. I made a last minute change, again, the phone customer service very accommodating and professional. My recycle and garbage cans don't get all that dirty inside. The best thing they do is my big green compost bin which gets funky and filthy. So going forward, Bimonthly seems bout right. Maybe Inwill spiff up the whole set once a year. read more

We are hard on our trash cans. They get disgusting. When I first heard of the service where they come clean your cans, I jumped at it.
