I am very happy with service, and I am about to schedule them again to clean my trash and recycling bins. I had a service in October 2023, and it is Feb 2025 as I write this review (it has taken me so long to get around to writing this just because I am always really busy). At the time in Oct 2023, I had read a few reviews on Yelp that said that there was poor communication with Canology, which made me hesitate, but I scheduled them anyway because my bins were so incredibly dirty. I'm glad I did! I placed on online service order on 10/16/24. I was a bit confused regarding when the cleaning would occur, so I left a voicemail message on 10/29/23 and Carla called me back the next day with an informative answer. Shout out to Carla, I owe you a very belated thank you! Everything went smoothly. My bins were cleaned on 11/9/23 and they practically sparkled!! I took advantage of a half off special for a one time cleaning of my three trash cans. Signing up was so easy. A confirmation is received right away and then they put your in a schedule. You can change it if needed. The day before you receive a text reminder and also the morning of. I did everything on my phone. I heard noises outside this morning and went to look. Power washing the cans is first. He washed inside and outside. He takes a little extra elbow grease if he sees something. Then the cans go upside down on the truck and is washed with 200 degree water. Down they come and some additional touch up. They"re drained and wiped down. A spray of deodorant is added and a nice tag that the job was complete. Nice clean cans! I would definitely do it again down the road. You can get weekly service too! Thank you, Canology! read more

Endless mixups with the date of service, huge website problems and today I received a notice that my cans will be cleaned at an address in Livermore. Problem is that I live in Berkeley! It is difficult to cancel the service. They send notices via a noreply email that doesn't respond to let you know it's a no reply address. They refused to honor my email request to cancel which I made months ago and are still going to charge me for this 3rd cleaning even though I tried to cancel after my 1st cleaning. If you're like me, you looked up this company because your trash/compost/recycling bin is so gross that it's beyond what you're capable of tolerating and therefore cannot wash it yourself. Requesting service from their website was very easy. From sign up to having cleaned bins, I didn't have to interact with any person. The most difficult decision was how often to get them cleaned, but you have the flexibility to change the frequency online so you can adjust as needed. They came, they cleaned, and they left. I love this service. I started by having all three of my cans cleaned on their introductory plan. They do a topnotch job, taking care to really make sure inside and out are sparkling and fresh smelling. They have quite the truck to do the job, and both times the fellow was really nice and very courteous. For my second service, my housemate forgot it was happening and put stuff in all the cans after they had been collected but before Canology could come. I made a last minute change, again, the phone customer service very accommodating and professional. My recycle and garbage cans don't get all that dirty inside. Despite only using my trash, compost, and recycling bins for only 2 years mysterious gunk has managed to find it's way in the bins causing a gross odor. For awhile I was using a hose and bleach trying to clean it up myself but things would still be stuck to the bottom (it also wasnt a pleasant job). One day while walking the dog I saw a neighbor getting their trash bins cleaned by Canology! I googled them immediately and signed up for the service. The first service date was 3 weeks out so I called Canology to see if it could be done any sooner but they mentioned that they only reach certain regions during specific times of the month. Fast forward to today where I received my first Canology service. My bins came back sparkly clean on the inside (the outside not so much) and came back citrusy fresh. My only feedback is that their email was a bit misleading and I thought their services included taking up to 2 bags of trash. That's not the case they're saying you can have up to two bags of bagged trash in your trash bin and they will still clean your bin and put the trash back (if its more than that I assume they reschedule your appt and charge you the reschedule fee). read more

They send a reminder email ahead of time to remind you to keep your bins out. Then, day of, there's even a link to track to see where they are! So, you can get a pretty good idea of when they'll be cleaning your cans. They are really able to get the entire can pretty clean using their truck which you wouldn't be able to do yourself. I like to clean things myself, so when I pay someone to do it for me, I like to know that they're doing a very thorough job (more than I could do!). Afterwards, they put a little tag on them to let you know they've been cleaned, but really, I could already tell by looking at them! And they smelled nice, too!
