Good communication, so far service has been good, price was reasonable. The owner herself came out to evaluate the location and worked with me on scheduling. She also offers different ways to pay, which is nice. read more

I'm starting a new job in SSF after having my second child and will need help with cleaning. Patty, the owner, was very quick to respond to my inquiry and came out for a quote within a couple days. While TLC wasn't the cheapest quote I got, I'm glad I hired them. Lorena came over earlier today and paid great attention to detail in the cleaning - including dusting baseboards and the ceiling fans. It was such a relief to come home to a clean house after a hectic first week. read more

Best house cleaning service in the Bay Area quality work I would recommend TLC to everyone

It was great! Wonderful service, fair pricing, kind people! Especially loved the transparent pricing and procedures.

We have used TLC for years, Patty is always responsive to any issues. One of the cleaners damaged a toilet seat years back. Patty and her husband were here that weekend to replace it with a better toilet seat. She has excellent customer service in every situation, flexible with us and our house is always fresh and clean. I recommend TLC to all of our neighbors and friends. You can't go wrong with her prices and excellent care of you and your home. read more

I was searching for a cleaning service. Tried TLC cleaning service. I was very happy with the results. Exceptional service at an affordable value. TLC is my new cleaning service. read more

We used TLC before the pandemic. We had a number of mostly minor issues . There were several occasions when the cleaning wasn't up to par, there wasn't really consistency with our cleaners, some tardiness, etc . Then there was a major transgression... the cleaner took our house key home the evening before our service which negates the security of keys in a lock box. Then the key went missing from her car. I was usually home when the cleaner was here but was out of the way and didn't always interact. Imagine my surprise when the doorbell rang then my phone rang with the cleaner requesting I let her in. Well, I thought of changing services but I know no one, or no service, is perfect and Patty tried to make things right whenever she could. I've recently tried to restart service but have been unable to. I was told there wasn't an open slot. Then, some time after, I inquired about a one time deep cleaning and got a response that they are "unable to service" due to a staffing shortage. Time to find the new house cleaners... read more

The best thing I have done for myself is hire a housekeeper! I have Ethan coming every 2 weeks. Ethan has a keen eye to detail, doesn't miss one tiny piece of dust. I have three dogs that prefer to be indoors, this equals dog hair, lots of it! I am very happy with the service the office provides. Constant communication and so professional and nice! Keep up the good work. I have referred your business to my family and friends. Thanks!!!! read more

My house had not been thoroughly clean in over a year. I called TLC and Patty came to my house to assess the work. Today, Jayanna came and did an amazing job. I'm so please. They have a customer for life. Thanks again!!!! read more

I asked for a quote, and they got back within one business day with fairly standard pricing. The thing that stood out was that they didn't beat around the bush and let me know that they were unable to provide the floor buffering service within the time frame that I needed. Good communication is key to any relationship! read more

The kindest thing you can do for yourself when you work too much and/or you're pregnant/have a baby is hiring a cleaning service. Maria cleans my kitchen, dining room, living room and main bathroom every 2 weeks for a very fair amount and does a spectacular job. She's super thorough - she even dusts the inside of my sconces in the bathroom, something I sadly would had never thought about. When I was first searching, I had a consultation with another local company and they quoted me at three times more for the initial cleaning, and an additional $30 per cleaning, and they were not as awesome as Patty who has owned this business for decades. I was one of those people who thought it was ridiculous to hire someone to clean your house, and I had some trust issues, but I now completely trust Patty's wonderful staff and it's so nice to spend that extra time enjoying life. Highly recommended! read more

Very happy with this company, excellent service, cleaning person was top notch, did what was promised and price was best out of 3 estimates I got for this job. Will be using them again in future. read more

Perfect cleaning and excellent customer service. Trust worthy and on time :) My house was sparkling and smelled amazing. They were very careful with all my special things. read more

We've been using TLC for 18+ months and they've been great. The owner Patty is friendly & easy to get ahold of. We appreciate having the same person come each week! Before covid my 1yr old son enjoyed "helping" her dust his window shades (we now of course stay socially distanced) Fre is very reliable, does a fantastic job and is friendly to our son and even our cats! read more

Great housecleaning service, Patty is the best, timely, thorough and reasonable, used them for years!

TLC staff were very professional and did a great first clean. Hired for once a month to start. Patty is a jewel!

I've used TLC for two different extended periods. After returning to the Bay Area, I checked with Patty again, and they were still working, so I asked for a quote, which was reasonable, and started them cleaning again. It's been 2 1/2 years, and I could not be more pleased with the service we get. While we normally have the same team member, Maria, who does a great job, and is friendly, it has not mattered who shows up. They are always thorough. I thoroughly trust everyone who comes to show my home some TLC... read more

We've been customers of Patty and TLC for years. My partner is very particular about how he wants his house taken care of, and Patty has worked with us to make sure we have someone he likes and whom we trust implicitly. As soon as this coronavirus shelter-in-place situation is over, we're going to go right back with them. It's hard to be a small business owner right now; Patty, please let your customers know what we can do to support you and your team during this time. read more

We started our service in January 2020. We initially contacted Tender Loving Care and Patty scheduled an appointment to review our house and provide an estimate for her services. She was on time, friendly and provided us with a couple options and quotes. We have our house cleaned twice a month. Her price is reasonable. It is nice, she offers you choices on several things like: Cleaning product choices, Wood Furniture with or without furniture polish, use their equipment or your own ( like a vacuum cleaner ) etc. Patty schedule 2 different employees to do our house cleaning. She followed up with us to see how the cleaning was, and if we had any preference of staff. The staff members we had were friendly, courteous and trustworthy. Although due to Covid-19 virus the House Cleaning service was stopped due to the govenment restriction. The restriction has now been lifted with modifications. Patty is now open! We will be working with Patty to resuming our services. read more

Highly recommended! We've been using TLC for years, and they're great. Patty is really good about following up on any issues, making sure we know who's coming and how things are going. And the house looks great, it's wonderful to come home to a clean house. read more

I had tender loving care come in to my house last month, I have not had time to do a review. The young lady that came in to my home (and I apologize, for forgetting her name ) did an excellent job I was really happy with the way she clean my house. Actually I even look forward to seeing her again next week, so Patty thank you for sending in that young lady which again I forgot her name, but she did a great job and I really liked her personality. Thank you for your Service. read more

I have used their service (biweekly house cleaning) for more than two years. The quality is good. The price is reasonable. One thing I like the most is the flexibility. Patty always respond my email promptly, and is able to send her crew to the house based on my schedule, including holidays, and last minute change. It is nice to have that flexibility, and not to worry about skipping the cleaning or find another house keeper for any schedule change. I will keep using their service! read more

It was very bad experience. Patty broke my shower handle without telling me. There were several areas that she did not clean and I had to follow up behind her. There was only one person available to clean my house and she did a rush job because she had to leave early. I think that I overpaid for the service that I received. I am not satisfied and very disappointed with the service. I would not recommend this service. Response to your comment, Patty - Your employee did not do her job and she tried to skip some areas. I had to tell her what to do. I was nice to her and gave her a tip before she left. I found out she did not clean some several areas and the shower door handle was broken after she left. I did not return your phone calls because I don't want to deal with you anymore! Bad experience ever! Note - I only had 3 bad reviews on Yelp. Your business is one of them. read more

My husband and I moved to Castro Valley and became home owners after becoming parents, and being working parents mean that a clean house is harder to attain. A good housecleaner is hard to come by, but we are pleased with our experience so far. Patty Silva, the owner, came to our house to give the estimate. She also works with us in terms of scheduling and we enjoy having the good communication -- it really makes a difference. As homeowners, we are also very glad that the business is fully licensed and insured. The lady that she assigned us is awesome and both my husband and I enjoy our home better the day after she cleans our house. read more

Used them for a while and got a different cleaning lady all the time. Never giving them a chance to know the house. The house was clean but only the visible areas. Patty was accommodating and open to suggestions. She has a cleaning lady named María Alejandra that takes her business. She told me she's charge me cheaper so I went with her. Then she one day said my back hurts and can't come anymore. Patty wanted to increase my price saying the ladies were staying longer and she had quoted me wrong. When the ladies at max would come and clean for no more than 2 hours. Found another lady for cheaper and amazing at what she does. read more

If you want items stolen from you while trusting someone to "clean" your home, then by all means, call Tender Loving Care House Cleaning. When my walk through was done with the Owner, Cathy she was very pleasant and things were clear about this being a "move-in" cleaning. We were together all of about 20 minutes (if that) and she informed me what would be done. She also provided me with information for having my windows cleaned, which I was considering. Anyway, when the cleaning was done, my husband said the home was done very well, so I was pleased since I trusted his judgment on the cleaning. Upon moving in was when I discovered the "hired help" didn't clean much at all and some of my property was missing. Upon contacting the owner, Cathy about this, she made excuses for her workers stating they must have thought it was left over? How could this be, since it was clear when we met that this would be a "move-in" clean up job and not a move out! And what's funny is that I used a disposable camera to take pictures of the home since I'm a new tenant as I may need the pictures at the time I move out, but the camera was missing. So after complaining to Cathy, she sent the same people out to clean, my husband was there this time. After they left, my husband had to leave as well, but when I returned home that evening, low and behold my missing camera was placed on the doorstep wrapped in 2 thick paper towels! What do you know? Cathy was very apologetic for her workers taking my property and told me she had been in business for 30 years! I couldn't believe it! I was thinking with Ofelia and her husband working her for, how could she stay in business that long when she has thieves working for her? She refunded me about 1/3 of what I paid, but that's still not enough. I'll never use her services again! read more

Patty does a great job matching her staff to her clients. The house is always beautiful and we trust Aralia completely. I don't know what I would do without her help! She uses the cleaners I want and the prices are very reasonable! read more

I've been very hesitant about posting a review. I hired TLC to clean my house a few years ago. Patty was nice however after having the service for a few months I noticed that things were not done. The people were finished cleaning in an hour and a half. I called and told her my concerns she gave me a complimentary cleaning to see if she could fix whatever problems we had. Patty has or had a lady working for her that would come and point out what had not been done and she offered to clean my place for cheaper. I liked how she cleaned so I went for it. Long story short she was unable to continue cleaning my house and I decided to give patty my business again since she had previously been accommodating and decided to give her another chance and see if maybe her service might have gotten better. Her exact words when I asked if we could restart the cleaning was no I think I'll pass. You were never satisfied. Really?! You must have a lot of money to pass up a customer and maybe instead of not wanting to work with me bc I complained too much (which my complaints were very valid) try and see how you could better your company and your workers. I get it house cleaning is hard but don't blame your customers dissatisfaction for your companies lack of work. read more

Unfortunately. I took down my original review about this company and their cleaning service. I now wish I would have left the negative post up. My mom did end up firing them after all. Apparently she had talked to them a few times about being dissatisfied with the lack of quality cleaning. When I visited my parent last month I was very surprised to find that after the gal left the house...a dental pick was still on the floor and throughout the house was a fuzz all over the floors....seemed to be carpet/rug fibers. I was picking it up wherever I saw it for the next several days there. Cleaning was done basically middle of floor and general dusting. This company had been doing my parents house for quite a while and had they once in a while wiped down the baseboards or spiderweb dust in the corners maybe it would have been worth keeping them. Maybe it's because my parents are elderly and felt they didnt know where to turn for quality work. Especially after complaining a few times. Either way. If you really want someone to open their eyes and use common sense in cleaning what's necessary then whoever it was cleaning my parents home is not who you'd want in your house. Unless you dont care about the details or care about spending $120 for two hours. Wish I lived closer so that I could monitor better or just do myself. $120 for 2 hours...wow, I'm in the wrong line of work. Give them a try... but stay on them to do it RIGHT. or just find someone else. read more

They cleaned our 2 bedroom apartment very well for 18 months. We're only sad we moved out of their service area.

The crews at Tender Loving Care are fantastic! I love coming home to a clean house! The rates are great too.

I had my house cleaned for the first time ever, and now I am sitting here wondering why I didn't do this before. What can I say? TLC is an amazing service. The owner, Patty Silva, was friendly, helpful, and professional; and even made arrangements to have my cleaning happen the very next day. Such a relief. I had just come home from a nine day hospital stay and really needed to heal in a clean, relaxing environment. I don't know about you, but if you are anything like OCD me, a dirty house will drive you crazy. My housekeeper turned out to be a lovely lady named Glenda. All I can say is the Energizer Bunny has nothing on this woman. I got tired just watching her. In no time I had a sparkling clean house and cause for a deep sigh of relief. Thank you TLC for responding so quickly and performing so well. Right now it means the world to me, and I look forward to starting the new year off on the right (and extremely clean) foot. read more

Hired them for a deep clean and then wanted to move on to monthly service. There is an extreme lack of detail in their work. The second cleaning they left the stainless steel cleaner on streaked all over the stove. They did not wash down the cabinets. The chrome in both bathrooms was not cleaned. They cleaned the tubs, but overlooked the soap dishes and the windowsill. Our floors are excellent at hiding dirt. The day after the last cleaning I spilled some water on the floor. I wiped it up only to find the paper towel was black with dirt. Obviously the floor was not cleaned. I called Patti and she immediately send some over to correct the situation and I asked that they clean my refrigerator. Cabinets still not clean, soap dish has three levels and only the lower level was washed. The fridge was clean, however all the plastic is scratched. She just wiped down the shelves rather that remove them and was them with warm soapy water. If you hire them SUPERVISE AT ALL TIMES. read more

I am a first time user of TLC. I found TLC housecleaning under Angies list and also YELP. The reviews do not do this company justice! Patty came did an assessment of my house, got back to me with a review in a timely manner and set us up. She was positive, sweet, and professional. Her staff, who we met today, another Patty was AMAZING!!! She came in and did a fantastic job and was SUPER accommodating and will be the reason I stay with TLC!
