We used TLC before the pandemic. We had a number of mostly minor issues . There were several occasions when the cleaning wasn't up to par, there wasn't really consistency with our cleaners, some tardiness, etc . Then there was a major transgression... the cleaner took our house key home the evening before our service which negates the security of keys in a lock box. Then the key went missing from her car. I was usually home when the cleaner was here but was out of the way and didn't always interact. Imagine my surprise when the doorbell rang then my phone rang with the cleaner requesting I let her in. Well, I thought of changing services but I know no one, or no service, is perfect and Patty tried to make things right whenever she could. I've recently tried to restart service but have been unable to. I was told there wasn't an open slot. Then, some time after, I inquired about a one time deep cleaning and got a response that they are "unable to service" due to a staffing shortage. Time to find the new house cleaners... read more

I asked for a quote, and they got back within one business day with fairly standard pricing. The thing that stood out was that they didn't beat around the bush and let me know that they were unable to provide the floor buffering service within the time frame that I needed. The kindest thing you can do for yourself when you work too much and/or you're pregnant/have a baby is hiring a cleaning service. Maria cleans my kitchen, dining room, living room and main bathroom every 2 weeks for a very fair amount and does a spectacular job. She's super thorough - she even dusts the inside of my sconces in the bathroom, something I sadly would had never thought about. When I was first searching, I had a consultation with another local company and they quoted me at three times more for the initial cleaning, and an additional $30 per cleaning, and they were not as awesome as Patty who has owned this business for decades. I was one of those people who thought it was ridiculous to hire someone to clean your house, and I had some trust issues, but I now completely trust Patty's wonderful staff and it's so nice to spend that extra time enjoying life. We started our service in January 2020. We initially contacted Tender Loving Care and Patty scheduled an appointment to review our house and provide an estimate for her services. She was on time, friendly and provided us with a couple options and quotes. We have our house cleaned twice a month. Her price is reasonable. It is nice, she offers you choices on several things like: Cleaning product choices, Wood Furniture with or without furniture polish, use their equipment or your own ( like a vacuum cleaner ) etc. Patty schedule 2 different employees to do our house cleaning. She followed up with us to see how the cleaning was, and if we had any preference of staff. The staff members we had were friendly, courteous and trustworthy. Although due to Covid-19 virus the House Cleaning service was stopped due to the govenment restriction. The restriction has now been lifted with modifications. Patty is now open! I have used their service (biweekly house cleaning) for more than two years. The quality is good. The price is reasonable. One thing I like the most is the flexibility. Patty always respond my email promptly, and is able to send her crew to the house based on my schedule, including holidays, and last minute change. It was very bad experience. Patty broke my shower handle without telling me. There were several areas that she did not clean and I had to follow up behind her. There was only one person available to clean my house and she did a rush job because she had to leave early. I think that I overpaid for the service that I received. I am not satisfied and very disappointed with the service. I would not recommend this service. Response to your comment, Patty - Your employee did not do her job and she tried to skip some areas. I had to tell her what to do. I was nice to her and gave her a tip before she left. I found out she did not clean some several areas and the shower door handle was broken after she left. Used them for a while and got a different cleaning lady all the time. Never giving them a chance to know the house. The house was clean but only the visible areas. Patty was accommodating and open to suggestions. She has a cleaning lady named María Alejandra that takes her business. She told me she's charge me cheaper so I went with her. Then she one day said my back hurts and can't come anymore. Patty wanted to increase my price saying the ladies were staying longer and she had quoted me wrong. When the ladies at max would come and clean for no more than 2 hours. Found another lady for cheaper and amazing at what she does. read more

If you want items stolen from you while trusting someone to "clean" your home, then by all means, call Tender Loving Care House Cleaning. When my walk through was done with the Owner, Cathy she was very pleasant and things were clear about this being a "move-in" cleaning. We were together all of about 20 minutes (if that) and she informed me what would be done. She also provided me with information for having my windows cleaned, which I was considering. Anyway, when the cleaning was done, my husband said the home was done very well, so I was pleased since I trusted his judgment on the cleaning. Upon moving in was when I discovered the "hired help" didn't clean much at all and some of my property was missing. Upon contacting the owner, Cathy about this, she made excuses for her workers stating they must have thought it was left over? How could this be, since it was clear when we met that this would be a "move-in" clean up job and not a move out! And what's funny is that I used a disposable camera to take pictures of the home since I'm a new tenant as I may need the pictures at the time I move out, but the camera was missing. So after complaining to Cathy, she sent the same people out to clean, my husband was there this time. After they left, my husband had to leave as well, but when I returned home that evening, low and behold my missing camera was placed on the doorstep wrapped in 2 thick paper towels! What do you know? Cathy was very apologetic for her workers taking my property and told me she had been in business for 30 years! I couldn't believe it! I was thinking with Ofelia and her husband working her for, how could she stay in business that long when she has thieves working for her? She refunded me about 1/3 of what I paid, but that's still not enough. I'll never use her services again! read more

I've been very hesitant about posting a review. I hired TLC to clean my house a few years ago. Patty was nice however after having the service for a few months I noticed that things were not done. The people were finished cleaning in an hour and a half. I called and told her my concerns she gave me a complimentary cleaning to see if she could fix whatever problems we had. Patty has or had a lady working for her that would come and point out what had not been done and she offered to clean my place for cheaper. I liked how she cleaned so I went for it. Long story short she was unable to continue cleaning my house and I decided to give patty my business again since she had previously been accommodating and decided to give her another chance and see if maybe her service might have gotten better. Her exact words when I asked if we could restart the cleaning was no I think I'll pass. You were never satisfied. Really?! You must have a lot of money to pass up a customer and maybe instead of not wanting to work with me bc I complained too much (which my complaints were very valid) try and see how you could better your company and your workers. I get it house cleaning is hard but don't blame your customers dissatisfaction for your companies lack of work. read more

Unfortunately. I took down my original review about this company and their cleaning service. I now wish I would have left the negative post up. My mom did end up firing them after all. Apparently she had talked to them a few times about being dissatisfied with the lack of quality cleaning. When I visited my parent last month I was very surprised to find that after the gal left the house...a dental pick was still on the floor and throughout the house was a fuzz all over the floors....seemed to be carpet/rug fibers. I was picking it up wherever I saw it for the next several days there. Cleaning was done basically middle of floor and general dusting. This company had been doing my parents house for quite a while and had they once in a while wiped down the baseboards or spiderweb dust in the corners maybe it would have been worth keeping them. Maybe it's because my parents are elderly and felt they didnt know where to turn for quality work. Especially after complaining a few times. Either way. If you really want someone to open their eyes and use common sense in cleaning what's necessary then whoever it was cleaning my parents home is not who you'd want in your house. Unless you dont care about the details or care about spending $120 for two hours. Wish I lived closer so that I could monitor better or just do myself. $120 for 2 hours...wow, I'm in the wrong line of work. Give them a try... but stay on them to do it RIGHT. or just find someone else. read more

Hired them for a deep clean and then wanted to move on to monthly service. There is an extreme lack of detail in their work. The second cleaning they left the stainless steel cleaner on streaked all over the stove. They did not wash down the cabinets. The chrome in both bathrooms was not cleaned. They cleaned the tubs, but overlooked the soap dishes and the windowsill. Our floors are excellent at hiding dirt. The day after the last cleaning I spilled some water on the floor. I wiped it up only to find the paper towel was black with dirt. Obviously the floor was not cleaned. I called Patti and she immediately send some over to correct the situation and I asked that they clean my refrigerator. Cabinets still not clean, soap dish has three levels and only the lower level was washed. The fridge was clean, however all the plastic is scratched. She just wiped down the shelves rather that remove them and was them with warm soapy water. If you hire them SUPERVISE AT ALL TIMES. read more
