I noticed some negative reviews from their old Bin Cleaning days. I was not a customer back then, so my comments are regarding Canology in San Francisco 2026. I just signed up for the "Twice a Year" service, and their first visit was this week. Good Job! I was surprised to see two folks show up but they worked safe and well together. This might have been due to the review that mentioned a pedestrian that experienced some water spray as they walked by. Hard to believe this person was not aware of the cleaning in process and altered their path. The two operators I witnessed were very aware of their surroundings while they left our Bins spotless, inside and out. We will see if the "Twice a Year" service is enough and if not, we will switch to quarterly. Thank you Joel D. San Francisco, CA read more

After the direct experience I just had with Canology, I would not do business with them, simply because I would not want somebody I hired to spray my neighbors with trash water and not even apologize. On a walk this morning with my dog, I got sprayed by one of their people who was pressure-washing trash bins behind his truck. The trick is long and wide. He had completely obstructed his own view of pedestrians. So there I am walking along, and I walked past the end of the truck and the guy is spraying the water right at me. An expletive may have been uttered. I kept walking and on the way back I talked to him, telling him that he sprayed me and that's not cool, and he could've prevented the whole thing by not spraying the bins from a place where he doesn't have a view of people coming through. There are lots of pedestrians in this neighborhood. All he said was, he stopped as soon as he saw me. He did do that. But he had already sprayed me. I explained again that if he sprays trash bins from a place where he can see the road, he can prevent spraying people in the first place. And all he said that that was, "yeah, OK." I would think somebody driving a company truck wearing a company uniform doing messy work would understand that it's not good to be careless about performing that work, nor is it good to be blasé about it when someone is negatively affected by that carelessness. There was no understanding, and no apology. If I need my bins pressure-washed, I'll hire someone else, or borrow a pressure washer from a friend and do it myself. I would not want Canology here. read more

Extremely detail oriented! Steam cleaned my bins and then hand washed them. They are reasonably priced for a service like this and left my bins odor free! Highly recommended. read more

The purpose is to clean the can spotless, for that I give 5 stars. The reason, however, that I am giving only 3 stars is that $44 a can is quite expensive. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to cancel the service. read more

We've been using Canology for nearly 5 years with excellent results. The service is efficient and very affordable. In all these years, they have never been late or "no showed." And if there are adjustments to the cleaning date, they will always communicate ahead of time via email or text. If we need to cancel or reschedule, it is also a cinch. Their email will always include a link for you to track your service. One time, I forgot to bring my garbage can out to the curb, and they took care of it for me right away. Great company and friendly service! read more

Been with them for years, and the best service and cleaning, especially in the summer-smelly months. Leaves my buns lemon-fresh, and each time I contact them, it's the best service and worth it vs. seeing maggots / self-cleaning. read more

My garbage cans were disgusting, long overdue. I actually had no idea you could get your garbage bins cleaned, until I did a random google search and found this great service. Then, my eyes were unblinded from the reality that actually, several of my neighbors get this service for their garbage cans already! I felt behind on the times! This service is quite versatile in terms of your options. You can choose how many garbage bins you want cleaned, and how often you'd like (one time, or as often as every month). Depending on your block, and for my block, they come a maximum of one time a month, on the 3rd weekend. So if you're ready to sign up, hopefully that weekend for your block didn't just pass! Some guy in a truck comes the day after your garbage service, and pressure washes your bins very, very thoroughly. It took about 30 minutes for my 3 garbage bins. They even came out nicely scented too! They were brand sparkling clean, as if they were brand new. I couldn't believe that garbage cans could be so clean. I couldn't believe my garbage cans were so dirty. I was just blown away. A one-time garbage cleaning turned into a every 3 month subscription. If this is your first time, definitely do the 1x first to see how you enjoy it. Also, a tip, google Promo code for Canology, and you'll be able to use first-timer code for extra discount! read more

Today I had my three trash cans cleaned and sanitized. I get it done twice a year and I highly recommend it be done. It's so much easier for them to do it rather than doing it yourself. It smells great afterwards too! read more

Amazing service! My cans were nasty for years, with no way to really get them clean. Now, they look and smell clean all the time.

We keep our garbage, recycling and compost in our garage. It stinks and so having service every month keeps the stink at bay. I like that they send you reminders too. Overall good experience so far and recommend. read more

Just right! I don't need the cans washed every week, but they do need to be sprayed out periodically so they don't build up debris and smell. Communications are timely and clear. I really like the service. :) read more

Loved their service. Highly recommend. Wish we had Canology at our new location. Every time we had the trash cans cleaned they seemed like new. read more

Service is good and exactly on schedule. Very difficult to reach to make any changes or adjustments once booked.

Great job cleaning bins! We have cats and although we put the scooped litter in bags, the smell really gets strong in a week, especially when there are some hot days. The compost, also always bagged, can also get very ripe, especially in hot weather. The bins are thoroughly cleaned and pleasantly scented each time. Highly recommend this service! read more

Used them for many years - a great way to keep your cans clean. Pro cleaning system and responsive customer service.

Prompt and effective! Surprisingly good! No need for me to do anything but leave the bins out.

We bought our first place in the city last year that came with old stinky cans. I happened to see the Canology truck work its magic while waiting for the bus and I ordered a cleaning. We are very happy with the outcome - clean, fresh-smelling cans! Thank you and see you again shortly. read more

What a great service. Cleaning the stinky, yucky garbage cans is something I avoided because it was such a gross hassle. So every time we opened the lids, the smell filled our garage where we kept the bins. Fruit flies, flies, etc. What a difference with Canology. After the first time I changed my order from quarterly to monthly. The company is excellent at communicating prices and schedule. Cleaners do an superb job. Affordable. Highly recommend. read more

Amazing service. I had them clean my three cans. They came on time and left the cans spotless. They don't leave a bunch of water on the street and use high pressure and steam. The price was reasonable as well. You can do monthly quarterly bi annual or one-time. I opted for bi annual. read more

I am so glad to find this place to clean all my trash cans. They did a good job; it's very clean, nice and has a very good smell. The frequency is such that it lasts almost a week, which is how clean it is. I will continue to use them and refer them to all my friends. The day they did the cleaning, I saw a few people walk by taking pictures of the truck, so I guess they would like to get that done too. I am so glad to find them, so keep it up! read more

I do not write reviews, but will because of the effort Israel went to to make things right. I've got one of those weird Berkeley addresses that gets screwed up on navigation software. The driver went to the wrong home, I guess, and cleaned somebody's cans. Not mine! We called, they sent the driver back, but I guess he went to the same place, just assuming he'd cleaned a neighbor's cans. So I sent Israel photos of our (still unclean) cans, and he came out the next morning and did it himself. You won't be eating breakfast off these cans, but they are significantly cleaner than if you do nothing. And you won't find service like this anywhere else. read more

Small price to pay for not having to scrub the bins when they eventually get disgusting! I have them come out every 6 months or so for my 2 bins (the 3rd rarely gets dirty) -- the green/organics bin is the one I dreaded cleaning myself the most before using Canalogy. read more

Love having my garbage can cleaned and smelling lovely each month! Always here on time and do a great job!

Canology garbage/recycling/compost bin cleaning service is excellent. They happened to be working on my neighbors bins when I called the main number and asked if there was time to clean my bins after. The guy spent a good amount of time cleaning the bins inside and out. There was a lot of build up in the compost bin that he worked on and successfully cleaned. The bins were good as new. Would definitely use them again. Responsive and professional. Truly a seamless process. read more
