Anyways, my issue is NOT with the fact that she is very strict with her age limits for the class (I am hardly offended by this by the way!) but in the way which I was poorly helped over the phone. This has been the most unhelpful conversation with a trainer I have had so far, and I have chatted with quite a few different schools now inquiring about different methods with different trainers. Either trainers are willing to chat more in depth with me or refer me to another trainer or class who could help me out for what me and my pup need. Basically, I was simply told that it was too late for my puppy and that she wouldn't fit in with the other pups in the classes. I want to enroll my puppy in a program with a down to earth trainer who can relate to the every day dog owner, not with someone who will simply brush me off with no assistance or advice whatsoever because I couldn't participate in their puppy class. I know personality fit with teachers and trainers are really important to a lot of people. First impressions are everything and it pays to treat even potential clients well even if what you have to offer is not suited to them.

Holly is an incredibly kind and knowledgeable trainer who actually has a background in the science of training and working with animals. This meant that whenever we had a question about why a specific method does or does not work, she was able to provide a clear and concise explanation. On top of this, she is able to provide recommendations for further learning and other materials that are helpful when we're alone with our dog. Because of Holly, our dog is doing wonderfully and is well behaved with other dogs, people, children and even cats. We believe that we owe a great amount to Holly for her help in getting our dog to be the best that she can be!

I received a reply within a few hours of contacting the training team. They were very informative and thorough when describing the different programs offered. They offer a free call or FaceTime with a trainer to get information on your pet, after which you're given a recommendation on what program would be best for your dog. I rescued a year old shepherd mix last month who needed basic obedience training and we started classes last week. A few of the people in the class said the program had completely changed their dog and recommended we do the 8 week class. First class is free, and if you like it ( which we did ) you can sign up. We worked on "sit", "watch me" and "down" in the first class. I'm looking forward the rest of the program!

Most pet stores in Vancouver, Canada have almost the same brands, toys, treats and food but Barking Babies is very selective and caring that things serve the family well, with a wide gorgeous, selection of some of the best goodies and gear ever for the modern dog. I first came hoping to find a less heavy carrier for my new puppy. Ended up with a nice front/back carrier from Japanese brand Mon Cheri which I love that the store owner helped me choose with expertise and knowledge to recommend what would be a great match for my needs. Not too bulky or heavy. Barking Babies carries a lot of fantastic luxury dog/pet carriers, there are some available to order in store too and they have all kinds of fashionable clothes, shoes, toys, beds, gourmet food and treats for dogs too! When I first came in I was still starting to socialize Soda and now Soda loves the store and gets along great with the 2-3 dogs who help run the store and it has been nice for Soda to visit with them. We have also gotten two beautiful soft rolled faux leather convertible hands free leashes, some Wag Wear rain boots for my dogs, Nono and Soda, a few toys, treats, Woof Dog Food and even a Lafufu plush toy for Soda, and my dogs are obsessed with everything we get from the store from the cute xmas gift snuffle box to her beloved Lafufu and even the Wag Wear shoes. Love going in to find unique and gorgeously vetted wonderful things for my dogs to enjoy and also let them practice socializing. We try to get to the store every chance we can or need if we are in the area and cannot recommend a visit to the best dog store for extra special barking fur babies in Vancouver!

So many cute little jackets and coats and shirts for your beloved pet with faux designer labels. We couldn't resist picking up a couple of cute outfits! They also have a bakery section with homemade doggie bakery items. Many are made with low sugar yogurt based icing to make them healthy for your pup. The staff member said they are made with human grade ingredients but flavored for dogs. If you're a dog mom or dad and find yourself in Vancouver, please visit this cute store!!

My dog is a year and a half, and her hair had never been cut ever since she was born, and now it will take years for it to grow back after this. Not only did she cut the fur off, the cut itself was so extremely poor, I've had people ask me if I cut it myself. I posted the post-groom pictures on my Maltese group online, and the consensus was this person is not a "master groomer". Every single leg is cut different, her face is different on either side, there are scissor cuts left in the fur all over her body. She did have a top knot before the groom, and I told the groomer that I like to put it in a ponytail every single day, and she cut it so uneven and short that she herself had to put it into two ponytails because it's almost impossible to have it put into one ponytail with how it's cut. And to be clear, I handed over a dog that had ZERO knots or mats in her fur. I combed through her fur with a metal comb less than an hour before the groomer arrived. Completely devastating when I was so specific. Within minutes of meeting the groomer by her van, she told me that my dog was not a purebred (I have papers), that she had a blocked tear duct, and that her hair would never grow long. I brought her to the vet the next day because of course I was worried if she maybe she did have a blocked tear duct. A $90 veterinarian examination fee and five minutes later to be told her eyes are perfectly fine. And then there another $90 for another groom to have this absolutely terrible cut fixed. What a nightmare. If you're looking for a specific cut, while this person identifies as a "master groomer", the cut she gave she might as well be working at Petsmart, which is where most people thought I brought my dog to have her hair done. So in total, I have paid $358 to have my 5 pound dog trimmed. I also wonder if she is even an actual working groomer now. She showed up in a van that was completely smashed up on the side, and when I looked in her van, it looked more like storage than a place where a dog could be groomed. Never again. So ripped off. The first two pictures are right after the groom in the van, and the last picture is the beautiful dog I handed over to her.
