I paid her $178.50 to groom my Maltese. I told her I was growing her hair long when booking the appointment and twice before she took the dog into the van, only to have her cut all her fur off to less than an inch all over her body. My dog is a year and a half, and her hair had never been cut ever since she was born, and now it will take years for it to grow back after this. Not only did she cut the fur off, the cut itself was so extremely poor, I've had people ask me if I cut it myself. I posted the post-groom pictures on my Maltese group online, and the consensus was this person is not a "master groomer". Every single leg is cut different, her face is different on either side, there are scissor cuts left in the fur all over her body. She did have a top knot before the groom, and I told the groomer that I like to put it in a ponytail every single day, and she cut it so uneven and short that she herself had to put it into two ponytails because it's almost impossible to have it put into one ponytail with how it's cut. And to be clear, I handed over a dog that had ZERO knots or mats in her fur. I combed through her fur with a metal comb less than an hour before the groomer arrived. Completely devastating when I was so specific. Within minutes of meeting the groomer by her van, she told me that my dog was not a purebred (I have papers), that she had a blocked tear duct, and that her hair would never grow long. I brought her to the vet the next day because of course I was worried if she maybe she did have a blocked tear duct. A $90 veterinarian examination fee and five minutes later to be told her eyes are perfectly fine. And then there another $90 for another groom to have this absolutely terrible cut fixed. What a nightmare. If you're looking for a specific cut, while this person identifies as a "master groomer", the cut she gave she might as well be working at Petsmart, which is where most people thought I brought my dog to have her hair done. So in total, I have paid $358 to have my 5 pound dog trimmed. I also wonder if she is even an actual working groomer now. She showed up in a van that was completely smashed up on the side, and when I looked in her van, it looked more like storage than a place where a dog could be groomed. Never again. So ripped off. Sorry I just can't agree with these other reviews. I have a Yorkie with very long hair. I wanted a puppy cut and got a chihuahua special. My sweet 10 year old has about a quarter inch of hair all over her body including her face and head. People who don't know me stop me to ask what kind of a dog she is. They can't believe she's a Yorkie. I had a friend stop me and they asked what happened to my dog. They kept reassuring me that her hair would grow back. Not worth the $100.00. I will say that the groomer did seem to care about my dog, but maybe only knows one kind of cut. You get what you pay for doesn't apply here. If you own a Yorkie make sure you show her a picture before you leave. Update: We did in fact use your service when we were visiting family in Vancouver.Here are the pictures of my dog before and after the haircut. I think you are a good groomer and most of your cuts seem to be good, but this one was not. I met the beautiful and talented Seon Gyoung when I saw her grooming van and I decided to give it a try a few weeks later. It was especially important as I was going to a show next day. When I met her for a consultation she never tried to rush me, gave me honest opinion about how my dog should be groomed and then she said she will be done in an hour ... At that moment, I thought: really?An hour? The usual places I went usually took 2.5 hours! She was right, after an hour my dog had a beautiful trim and had a stylish teddy bear look including a cute head accessory. She did not try to overcharge/cheat me at all. In fact, it is a reasonable price for the good quality work, (price is considerably lower than downtown grooming spas) so all those factors in consideration, I will return again. I was very impressed with the Yelp reviews which is why I decided to try the mobile spa in the first place. She deserves five stars for the following reasons: 1. Punctual: she was able to accommodate us on a Sunday at 7:30 am. Now that's service. She confirmed the time twice and arrived ten minutes early to we could have a chat about grooming preferences. 2. She called me into the grooming session to let me know if I wanted an additional service, it would cost me extra. I thought this was very good of her so that I wasn't surprised by the final bill. Very honest. 3. Skills: this lady has very good skills. She completed the task in one hour flat (most grooming places take double the time for our King Charles). In addition she massaged him with tea tree oil. This is by far his best cut. It will likely last three months so I wasn't shocked with the tab of 80 dollars plus tip. 4. Personality: she is a very sweet and eccentric lady. She loves the animals she works with. She even assured me that she doesn't give the animals treat during their sessions- just gentle touch and affection for reinforcement. I knew she was passionate about her work when I heard that. 5. Small touches that make a small business shine: she provided Seamus with a bandana to complete his look. I asked for a poop bag since I didn't have one on me when I came down from my apt. She gave me a roll and a case. I appreciate her customer service. Overall, don't be too scared by the prices. She will make sure you love the cut. I love this whole mobile dog grooming as i was doing the same in San Francisco as well! Kai came back so fresh and so clean with a nice little scarf around his neck. My little mini schnauzer was badly in need of a grooming session as we hadn't had a chance to get her done due to my dog being ill and her previous groomer changing appointments last minute and then eventually moving away. Seon arrived pretty much on time and we had a nice chat about what I wanted and we decided an a puppy cut , short all over but with schnauzer beard etc, and off they went into the van. After the grooming my dog looked nice and had clean teeth and short nails so I was happy. I was however shocked at the pricing. Seon charged $150 /hr and she had spent a couple of hours (our dog needed a lot of work ) she also said that she added on for the teeth cleaning $75 I think! After tip it was $450+! Previous grooming has been in the $100 range (our dog was usually in there for 2-3 hrs as the schnauzer cut can take quite a while) and although I was expecting it to be more expensive would need more time I was upset with myself that I hadn't been able to see prices on the website and hadn't checked first with Seon. The only price I saw in a review was $80/hr. Overall it is convenient to have someone come to you but this also means they are not paying rent and are using your electricity etc so really shouldnt be more expensive. I will not use the service again as it is so much more expensive than ANYWHERE else I have ever used and my family couldn't believe that I was charged that much for a haircut for the dog! Update I have changed this to a 2 star review. Over the last few days I have realised that the cut is OK but is just a puppy cut, not the more involved schnauzer cut and whilst OK is not the best cut she has had (to be fair not the worst either) The more I look at other reviews the more I think I have been significantly overcharged for some reason. Maybe because she had to drive to North Van, maybe as our dog (due to both our dogs,mine and previous groomers illness) was badly in need of a groom? The most recent review mentions a $100 haircut? Ours was $400. I did tip 15% before I realised just how much the bill was, frankly I was in shock and the more I think of it, the more upset I am. This was a bill we really couldnt afford and comes on top of a $2300 vet bill so its been a very expensive month to be a pet parent! read more

I just took my lovely Golden Doodle to Moving Dog Spa. Seon was very accommodating and was able to see my dog within 2 hours at her mobile location. She took the time to make my dog feel comfortable and to listen to my instructions. 1.5 hours later I got my dog back looking freshly groomed. Most groomers take about 3-4 hours to do the same job. She was starting to matt very badly due to her long soft curls and love of swimming. Seon listened to my instructions and while my dog got fully shaved for the summer she still managed to maintain her cuteness. It's a little pricier but I think worth the short time span, the professionalism, the personalized service and the end result. I will definitely be calling Seon again. read more
