    My doggie, Bear!

I can't thank the wonderful caring staff at Pet Parlour enough! They take such excellent care of my Golden Retriever and I always pick up a very happy dog! They even groomed his fuzzy paws... they looked perfect. And the dogs here are so good and quiet. And they keep the place really clean and smelling fresh!

Uneven cut and look at the under belly and legs, extremely shaggy.

This business has changed ownership and it's obvious. The current owner is rude and disrespectful and I'll outline why below. But first, she groomed my dog and cut/burned him, did not disclose this, and then returned a dog with an uneven haircut that I didn't ask for. I specifically asked for my pup's ears and tails not to be touched, they chopped them. They over clipped the nails to the point where it hurts the dog to walk. When asked to fix the uneven cut, the woman proceeded to scream and yell, and use profanities and would not de-escalate herself. The biggest insult - $150 price tag and she had the audacity to scream that "you didn't even thank me!" For a poorly cut and injured dog? This woman needs a reality check. Please visit Groom Room instead, they were closed and that was the ONLY reason I went here.

We love Pet Parlour, who groom both of our cats! They always do such a great job, and our cats come home happy, not at all stressed out or bummed. Here is Yeti, our Himalayan after his lion/teddybear cut

I took my cat Harry there a couple of times for a lion's cut. They did a great job without sedation! When Harry got home he was behaving normally like nothing happened. He wasn't skittish at all, even though generally he's a sensitive kitty!

We have a high energy lab who needs a lot of exercise. She could literally play all day long. On days when we don't have enough time to properly exercise her we leave her at Pet Parlour to play with the staff and other dogs. Everyone has been excellent with her and have even emailed me pics of her, showing how happy she is We have not taken advantage of their groomers, however, if we needed grooming I would definitely feel confident leaving my animal with them. I have recommended Pet Parlour to friends and would definitely do it again. Thanks Victor!

My boss recommended Pet Parlour as she had taken her pets there. I checked out Yelp reviews and gave them a call. Victor was super friendly and I booked an appointment for my dog Chispa. When I walked in Victor was right there with a smile and a handshake. He remembered my boss, her pets and about our business. A very kind and personable person. Chispa was comfortable and so was I. It took about 2 hours and I went to pick him up and he looked sooo good, so cute, and seemed so proud of his new haircut. I am very happy with the service, the customer service and how much they obviously love animals. I'll definitely recommend to friends and I'll be taking my pooch there from now on!

Brilliant experience would highly recommend to anyone. I took my cat here today and hes never been groomed before (as far as we know hes a rescue) he came back out loolong amazing and was super happy and chill. The staff from making the appointment to calling us to say Clint is ready were amazing and very helpful. Clint looks great now and is happy too they clearly treat him very well and made him comfortable. I will definitely be returning for his next cut or bath.

Before and after kitty's haircut! We were very impressed with this groom.

After my first positive experience with a sanitary trim here, I brought my cat back in for a full groom. At my request they were able to cut her to look like a short haired cat instead of the typical lion cut. It was the best looking cut she's ever had. At $70 + tax and tip it's also the cheapest cut she has had so I was satisfied all around. Surprisingly when I came to pick her up after her cut she was totally calm, so the groomers had obviously put her at ease. There is no longer fur all over my furniture and no more hairballs - I'll definitely keep bringing her back!

My dog is a year and a half, and her hair had never been cut ever since she was born, and now it will take years for it to grow back after this. Not only did she cut the fur off, the cut itself was so extremely poor, I've had people ask me if I cut it myself. I posted the post-groom pictures on my Maltese group online, and the consensus was this person is not a "master groomer". Every single leg is cut different, her face is different on either side, there are scissor cuts left in the fur all over her body. She did have a top knot before the groom, and I told the groomer that I like to put it in a ponytail every single day, and she cut it so uneven and short that she herself had to put it into two ponytails because it's almost impossible to have it put into one ponytail with how it's cut. And to be clear, I handed over a dog that had ZERO knots or mats in her fur. I combed through her fur with a metal comb less than an hour before the groomer arrived. Completely devastating when I was so specific. Within minutes of meeting the groomer by her van, she told me that my dog was not a purebred (I have papers), that she had a blocked tear duct, and that her hair would never grow long. I brought her to the vet the next day because of course I was worried if she maybe she did have a blocked tear duct. A $90 veterinarian examination fee and five minutes later to be told her eyes are perfectly fine. And then there another $90 for another groom to have this absolutely terrible cut fixed. What a nightmare. If you're looking for a specific cut, while this person identifies as a "master groomer", the cut she gave she might as well be working at Petsmart, which is where most people thought I brought my dog to have her hair done. So in total, I have paid $358 to have my 5 pound dog trimmed. I also wonder if she is even an actual working groomer now. She showed up in a van that was completely smashed up on the side, and when I looked in her van, it looked more like storage than a place where a dog could be groomed. Never again. So ripped off. The first two pictures are right after the groom in the van, and the last picture is the beautiful dog I handed over to her.

No one answered. The directory was super long and hearing out the options was so time consuming. And the option to speak to the store always rang once then long silence and then ends call automatically. I did manage to get there. And it was 10:30 am. Her appointment was 10-11 am. They agreed to clean her molars which were the ones with tons of sudden build up. But when my dog came out at 11 am the lady Cindy told me she was able to fully clean my dog's teeth because she was such a saint and put up no fuss. yes. She's an absolute princess when it's with strangers. She's stubborn as hell with mommy though. Anyways. For $250 it ain't bad. She went in with build up on her molars that looked like caramel coated popcorn. And came out with white teeth that looked like white strips was used her teeth were clean and white. My dog is 3.5 years old and this was her first dental visit. And she's a bit on the shy side with new people and they handled her so well she wasn't stressed at all when she came out in Cindy's arm. I highly recommend this place for your dog's dental needs. They also offer the full array of grooming services. and I would like to point out for all the reviews on Google that complained the shop did not do as asked for grooming style and technique.... They do what's best for YOUR DOG... AS BEST THAT THEY CAN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF THE OWNER. This shop puts your dog first. So perhaps be appreciative that they don't rip mats from your dog's coat just because you want it done without shaving. Or that you don't like the length of the coat. Even when you go to a hairdresser your hair cut can be a flop. People are human. Dogs are even more unpredictable. They can move or refuse to cooperate. They do their very best based on your dog's behaviour and its needs and your wishes. I witnessed about 7 customers in the time I waited for my dog's teeth cleaning. They clearly go over expectations and their own boundaries that puts pet's comfort and consideration first and foremost.

Kaori eventually transferred to BabyD's to groom...and my groom cost DOUBLED with that owner, "the lovely" David. Don't expect good service from him, his lack of Customer Service skills speaks to his priorities...clearly not there to care for dogs, just make money and be nasty when he can. During her last groom with Kaori, I was horrified to get her home and she the extensive damage to her paw in the photo - the black padding was shaved off on one part of her left back paw pad; a huge hunk of tissue was gouged out; and the swollen, painful burned areas around her paw that were puffy they were so inflamed...it was shocking. I texted Kaori the photo and said I understand accidents happen...she just ignored my text and the gruesome photo. But in speaking again with the vet and my breeder, they insisted that was unprofessional and that she should compensate me in some way for the vet bill and a free groom. So I wrote her again asked her to compensate me and expressed that I was not too happy she just ignored my text. She's groomed Annabelle for 13 years...you treat a good client like that? So then I get a call from "the lovely" David and he simply tells me never to come back to their salon...period, end of story. They took no responsibility, denied their responsibility, and had no remorse for all the pain and suffering they caused my dog. Sometimes it takes a long time to find out who you are really dealing with and unfortunately trusting your precious pets with people that don't really care. There is no excuse for bad grooming that inflicts this kind of damage on a dog nor this unkind and unprofessional behaviour when you call them on it. They didn't even care that Annabelle is at the end of her life soon and to change her grooming and relationships at this point is heartbreaking. She such a sweet girl and to see her try to lick her paw so incessantly for weeks is also heartbreaking. Conclusion: don't recommend this business if you don't want nasty surprises. Such a disappointment.

Most pet stores in Vancouver, Canada have almost the same brands, toys, treats and food but Barking Babies is very selective and caring that things serve the family well, with a wide gorgeous, selection of some of the best goodies and gear ever for the modern dog. I first came hoping to find a less heavy carrier for my new puppy. Ended up with a nice front/back carrier from Japanese brand Mon Cheri which I love that the store owner helped me choose with expertise and knowledge to recommend what would be a great match for my needs. Not too bulky or heavy. Barking Babies carries a lot of fantastic luxury dog/pet carriers, there are some available to order in store too and they have all kinds of fashionable clothes, shoes, toys, beds, gourmet food and treats for dogs too! When I first came in I was still starting to socialize Soda and now Soda loves the store and gets along great with the 2-3 dogs who help run the store and it has been nice for Soda to visit with them. We have also gotten two beautiful soft rolled faux leather convertible hands free leashes, some Wag Wear rain boots for my dogs, Nono and Soda, a few toys, treats, Woof Dog Food and even a Lafufu plush toy for Soda, and my dogs are obsessed with everything we get from the store from the cute xmas gift snuffle box to her beloved Lafufu and even the Wag Wear shoes. BUYER BEWARE I do not recommend Barking Babies or Nancy, the…read moreowner. I spent over $300 in this store, including approximately $170 on a harness and leash for my dog. Before purchasing, Nancy repeatedly insisted the harness was the correct size and reassured me four or five times that if it didn't fit, I could return it. At no point did she ever say that "return" meant store credit only. Trusting what I was told, I made the purchase. Two days later, I returned with the harness and leash completely unused, with tags and original packaging, because the harness did not fit my dog. Instead of honoring what I had been told, Nancy denied saying it and told me I should have read the receipt because it was "store credit only." The conversation quickly became very uncomfortable. Nancy raised her voice at me and repeatedly said she had rent to pay and that running a business was expensive. As a customer who had simply relied on what I was told before making a purchase, I found that completely inappropriate. There is a huge difference between saying "you can return it" and "you can return it for store credit only." Had I been told the full policy before paying, I would never have spent over $300 there After this happened, I read through the Google reviews and found another customer describing a very similar experience--they also believed they could return an item that didn't fit, only to later discover it was store credit only. Reading that review made me realize my experience wasn't unique.and this is her way of running the business I have no issue with a business having a store credit policy. My issue is with how it was communicated before the sale and how I was treated afterward. There are many other pet boutiques and online retailers with better prices, transparent policies, and customer service that continues after you've paid. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
