I started coming here for Agility a few years ago during the pandemic and it has been awesome. I…read morecame from another facility and initially was quite nervous we wouldn't fit in as the initial application required a demonstration video but it was fine and more to make sure we were registered for the correct Agility skill level. During the pandemic they followed Public Health Orders and always ensured safety was maintained for dogs and trainers alike. My dog and I were made to feel very welcome and it has been really great training both privately and in group classes. The group class community is very positive and encouraging - people clap for each other, cheer each other on or even trade videos of each other's runs. We also laugh at the silly things our dogs do from time to time. The instructor I've been primarily working with is Elisha and she has an incredible sense of humour, is an encouraging coach and is quick to identify errors and recommend adjustments. All the dogs love her as she often has the best treats for the most challenging obstacles. They have a good registration system in place where if you already have a spot in the class then you have a reserved space for the next series. Private lessons are popular also. Staff are very communicative and kind with questions. Bonus is that their payment system is through a business version of PayPal so I feel my credit card information is safe. I'd highly recommend this place if you're thinking about taking your dog here for training.

My dog, Molly, and I have been training with Julia at DogWorks in Burnaby for about four months now…read moreand we are having a blast! Julia is an excellent instructor, she explains everything really well, is very patient (with dog and handler alike), and has excellent tips and tricks. Whenever we're stuck or have a problem, she always has a good solution. She is truly an expert and a pleasure to learn from. I can't believe how fast Molly is making progress! I look forward to continued classes and fun.

We are so happy that we found Dr. Shanahan and Elle, who are so knowledgeable about our "exotic…read morepet" bunnies. They take such wonderful care of our bunnies, Pickle and Kimchi, every single time. Our buns are stubborn and not the easiest to handle, but this vet and her technician are able to handle Pickle and Kimchi like champs, even trimming all of their little nails. Pickle's neutering was straightforward and he recovered without any issues. Elle called to check in on Pickle two days after the surgery. Kimchi's spay surgery was a bigger procedure. She wasn't eating overnight when we took her home initially, but we were able to bring her in the next morning to be examined. She got IV fluids and perked right up, but they continued to monitor her the entire morning and afternoon--all free of charge. We are so grateful to find the rare breed of caring people who are skilled at treating and handling pet rabbits.

The vets are thorough and take the time to explain things properly, with no attempt to push unnecessary expensive procedures. The front-end staff need to be cloned and distributed throughout the city in all medical clinics- they are so nice! Importantly, they have always managed to find time within 1 day to see my cat when things were urgent- this is of huge importance when these times come- as they will for us all. The only cons are they are closed all weekend and do not do home euthanasia- but these are forgivable offenses. Overall, highly recommended.

What a shame this once locally owned pet store has been bought out by a larger conglomerate who…read morespecializes in buying up small pet supply stores for the "illusion" of being a neighborhood store. It is sweltering HOT inside the store which makes it unpleasant to shop in, certainly not a place you want to wander around in and browse for additional items. There is one fan and aside from the summer heat there is also the heat from the refrigeration units. Any good business should know a golden rule is treat your staff well and watch your business grow. Instead the staff are stuck in this hot store which can't be fun, doing their best to help customers, who are grumpy from the heat outside and inside the store. PLEASE get some decent air cooling system for the many folks in this area who come to shop "local" but will start huffing it up the hill to an air conditioned a chain store next time to comfortably shop for all their pet supplies. Your customers want changes and for the staff to be treated better or we are going elsewhere.

Cute pet/ pet food store. I was out of ferret food, and just happened to come across here the same…read moreday I ran out so I crossed my fingers in hopes they sold the brand I was looking for ( Orijen ) We were greeted by 3 friendly smiling staff members. The place had a doggie door and the sign stated pets were welcome. It had a warm welcoming feel to the store. I saw the brand I was looking for shortly after I arrived. I was really happy to find the size I was looking for as well ( I didn't want to have to haul around a huge bag with me ! ) Looked around a bit more, but didn't see much ferret stuff there ( we feed the ferrets high quality kitten food ) But wasn't surprised. We were cashed out by a nice lady then on our way.
