Steer clear of this place. This is the last place you want to leave your dog at. Mimi is a Racist and a thief. Mimi will make u pay up a whole month's fee and steal your money after she kicks your dog out (even if he stayed just few days there). First she said she will refund the money later during the day. When we went to get our refund, then she changed her mind. And wouldn't give us our money back. Things u will learn there is how to STAB your dog in the ribs with your finger and that's about it. If u want your dog to get tortured while u away at work. Please go ahead. The owner Mimi is openly racist and a big thief. My dog had a hot spot on the face which he scratched. We then took him to the vet where he got examined and got medicines. But Mimi knows better than a vet who's been studying and working with dogs for years. Why ? Because the vet was of Indian background. Yes that's right. Mimi and her daughter both started telling us that we shouldn't trust that vet and that he doesn't know what he is doing and even started accusing the vet of purposely infecting the dogs for money (yes I have an actual voice recording of them saying that). Mimi demanded that we take our dog back and to not bring him back until he is taken to another vet. Well this time we took him to a causasian vet lol. Guess what he said.. "I would have given him the same meds the previous vet gave him with the same prognosis". She advertises her "pack leader" program so much but can't even handle a dog properly. My dog has been going to this place for almost 8months now and has never showed any signs of aggression toward any dog or person while being there. But we get called and told that our dog got kicked out for "biting" another dog. If my dog really was aggressive I myself would never have taken him to any daycare and he would have shown aggression in the beginning itself and not after 8months of being there. If she can't handle an isolated incident and can't actually handle dogs she probably shouldn't be in that business in the first place. All she does is sit all day and hose your dog down with water if they misbehave. She asks over $500 a month for sitting around and can't even correct/control your dog properly. She expects all dogs to come and sit all day and do nothing. Yes that's what she expects. Guess what? If u want to open a doggy daycare make sure u can actually do the WORK. Mimi likes to make sure to show she knows more than everybody when it comes to your dog. Her daughter and her both started telling us that our dog was a husky and not a malamute lol. They were both so adamant about it and started searching the net just to prove their point. Long story short, if they say your Great Dane is actually a Chihuahua, that's means it's a Chihuahua and not a Great Dane. For someone who says they know dogs and to start running a doggy day care, I would suggest u find a place that actually does knows what they doing and not Mimi'do'little. read more

I am the owner of the dog that your dog so viciously attacked. first off, stop trying to make it sound as though this was a small scuffle that Mimi wasn't able to handle. Your dog mauled my dog, and she has the puncture wounds and swelling to prove it. We have had to give her anti inflammatory's and clean her wounds. She has barely moved off the couch and is obviously very sore. And let me clarify, she is a large, very strong Boxer. It would have been difficult for your dog to take her down, but he had the intention to attack and hurt her, so he did. You seem upset that your dog was kicked out after this one incident, this one incident left a dog injured, how angry would I be if she had let that dog back in? How do you figure it's responsible of her to let a dog who has attacked and injured another dog back into the daycare only to put all of the other dogs at risk. Give your head a shake. Mimi is responsible for taking care of your dog during business hours and controlling the pack appropriately. She cannot control how the dog is raised, treated and trained at home. You have shaped this dog's behavior, his aggression is on you. You are very clearly a typical irresponsible dog owner who has spent no time or effort training your dog, and now you've thrown him in daycare hoping they can fix the issues you've created....that's not Mimi's job. And I just want to say that I have witnessed first hand how poorly behaved your dog is every single time I drop my dog off. We have been coming to this daycare for 7 years and never have I witnessed an act of aggression like this. There will always be small scuffles when you get a group of dogs together, and Mimi has never had any problems managing and correcting the dogs with ease. I have never felt like my dog was unsafe at Doggy Doo Lil, she has always been in very good hands. You talk about how she does nothing with them and sprays them with hoses and pokes them in the chest. So tell me, why are they always so excited to be there? My dog races to the door wagging her tail every time I drop her off, she adores Mimi. They all do. Doesn't seem like this would be the case if they were being neglected or abused all day. This really shows what kind of a person you are. Had my dog ever acted aggressively towards another dog my only thought would be to contact that dog's owner directly to personally apologize, I would feel horrible. Thankfully my dog is well loved, trained and taken care of so this isn't something I need to worry about. Doggy Doolil daycare was started when there were only 5 or 6 day cares in all the lower mainland. I was part of setting the standards and quality of dog care at the forefront. In 2004 when I started working on my business plan there were a couple of dog daycare's in Vancouver, one in South Surrey, one in Fleetwood and a small dog daycare in Newton. I researched dog day cares across Canada and the States, developed a great business plan and took it to the bank for a loan and started the daycare in 2005. Many daycares since have used my plan to start their own daycare. I advanced my knowledge in the industry by taking my Pet First Aid certification and my certification in dog training. I read books and watched videos on dog training of all different styles. In business school we learned about policies and procedures, and how important they were to hold a business together, so I wrote mine down, posted them on my website that I created on my own, from my skills as a desk top publisher. The biggest problems I have had over the last 15 years regarding disputes with clients have almost all been about my policies. Not about the dog or a problem dog. Its usually that even after signing a waiver that makes it very clear what each of us have as far as responsibility, they still argue the point when confronted with it. If you sign a waiver that you will abide by the policies and regulations of the daycare, then not doing so would constitute a break in a contract! No? Don't sign a contract if you know you won't honour it. In all the years I have run this business, Kasper the Malamute/Husky that just got kicked out of my daycare, was the first dog to become aggressive closer to 2 years of age. And I predicted it and warned them of it. Most dogs just get difficult. Muhammads nasty rants about my business is nothing more than a childish rant. He calls me a racist, thief and liar. In February, 2009 I went to check out Michelle and her facility, she's got a great set up in her basement and backyard that is awesome for the dogs. When it's raining out there is a covered porch, with a couch for the dogs, as well as the basement with an additional couch and numberous dog beds. In the play area are things to keep the dogs busy all day long, from balls to climbing equipment. So not only did I check out Michelle, she checked me out as well, to make sure we were both on the same page for expectations. We decided to give it a go. My pup goes to Doggy Doo Lil twice a week, he learned to make friends with the other dogs and he comes home at the end of the day, tired and content. Now my puppy is a bit strange, he loves other dogs but has a hard time with people, timid might be an understatement but there are three other people that he loves to be around and that's Michelle, Gabby and Bard. That alone says volumes to me about how they treat my dog. Would I recommend this business to anyone, yes, in a heartbeat and already have to people I work with. We have a basset hound called Senna and for those who don't know the breed - they tend to be, um, how can I put this nicely...independent. We were at our wits end with her because she was still peeing in the house. We decided to try a daycare to see if it helped her and found Doggy Doo Li'l. The name is a misnomer because they do A LOT with your pet. And the setting is beautiful. Michelle is warm and loving toward your pooch. Not only does she provide a safe and fun haven for your dog but she works with them on their challenges. She then communicates to you what she has done so you can continue to do this at home, giving your pet consistency. Michelle has also provided us with names of other professionals who could help with Senna's behaviors. We worked on different things to help Senna stop relieving herself on our hardwoods and, I'm happy to announce, it was Michelle who made the recommendation for the trick that finally assisted Senna in stopping! This is a 5 star pooch resort and I honestly would recommend this daycare to all. read more

We sent our baby dog to Mimi's daycare just two weeks after we got him, and now, almost 2 years later, Barky still goes to "school" every week. From the very beginning, Mimi has trained him, cared for him, and helped him grow into such a well-behaved, happy dog. Every time we go out, we receive so many compliments on how calm, gentle, and well-mannered Barky is. What makes this place so special is that not only Barky learned from the pack - how to behave, socialize, and understand what he needs to do, but we also learned so much as dog parents about how to support him and make sure our fur baby lives his best life. We are already planning to have a second puppy in a few years, and we know without a doubt that we will do the same thing again: send our next baby to Mimi. I trust Mimi with all my heart to help me raise my baby dog, and I am so grateful for everything she has done for Barky and for us. read more

blackbear and dakota ( pommeraniens ) used to go to doggy doo lil daycare and seen nothing but great results with them going to michelles. she has taken care of them just like they were her own dogs, they got nothing but love from michelle and also her daughter gabby . They have been there for a good 3 years and she has helped me out a great deal, couldnt be more thankful, thank you michelle and gabby . when i was at work i knew they were going to have a great day playing and being groomed which they both love. i used to have to work really early in the morning and she would get up way before she opened up the daycare just to help me out, taking them back to bed with her,so they would cuddle up with her till it was time for michelle to open up the daycare. Mimi is fabulous, calm and assertive!! She truly cares about my baby "Chloe".. she is always treated we such love and care. Chloe loves doggy daycare. She is happy to go, and comes home one tired pup. I would recommend Doggy DooLil Daycare to anyone looking for doggy daycare. In regards to the negative review from Jabeer he is only upset because his dog attack another dog at daycare and Mimi told him he could no longer bring his dog there. Scooby has been going to Doggy Doolil for over 3 years now and we're so happy. Mimi is amazing with all of the dogs - they listen to her and respect her, she is a true pack leader. Mimi treats Scooby like he's a member of her family and it makes us feel great knowing that our dog is being taken care of while we're at work. We love that Scooby gets to hang with the same dogs every week...he's getting older, so it can be stressful for him to go to new places and meet new dogs, but he's so comfortable at Doggy Doolil because of the environment Mimi has created. We've even boarded Scooby at Doggy Doolil a couple of times when we went on vacation and it's so much easier to relax knowing he's being loved and taken care of by Mimi and her family. It's clear how much she genuinely loves and understands dogs, and that gave us so much confidence leaving our pup in her care. We are writing this review in response to the defamation of character review below. We feel it is highly unethical to make accusations of racism and thievery in conjunction with the care of a dog. We all love our animals and we understand it is difficult to hear that our dog may not have been on their best behaviour. However, if it is necessary to comment on that on social media, we would encourage everyone to keep your comments relative to the actual facts about animal care and not bring personal attacks into the picture. Bailey has been a client of Doggy Doo Li'l Daycare for about 2 1/2 years. He is a neutered male with big dog syndrome (about 12" at the shoulder, who figures he is a great dane) Michelle has had patience to work thru Bailey issues and Bailey is all the better for it. We go to work and know that he is safe, loved and cared for and not having to lay about at home with nothing to do and no one to associate with. Michelle has somewhat of a routine with the dogs during the day, and they are ALL part of the family while there. Bailey is so excited to head out the door in the morning to Daycare and ready to come home at night for a evening of loving as well. I don't know what we would do without Michelle. Gracie is a Samoyed rescued from a puppy mill, so she certainly had "issues!" Both of us work all day so poor Gracie would have our house rearranged by the time we got home. We enrolled her in Doggie Doo Li'l and the results were amazing! The busy active day was exactly what she needed, and being with all the other dogs gave her a sense of purpose. She is always eager to go to "school" and will even give us an earful if we are running late in the morning. Michelle runs a structured day for the dogs, and even schedules a nap time. Definitely the best thing you can do for your dog. And Michelle offers an overnight and weekend service.. Great for when you have to be elsewhere and cannot bring your best friend. Our standard poodle, Tata, started going here when he was just 5 months old, and it was the very first daycare he ever attended. Even now, at 5 years old, the training, structure, and habits he learned here still help him every day. Mimi truly cares about the dogs and has an incredible understanding of canine behaviour. You can tell this is not just a business to her -- she genuinely loves and understands each dog. Meeting Mimi, Tata's very first trainer, was honestly such a blessing, and we feel very lucky to have found her so early in his life. When my bernese was 6 months old I started taking him to Doggy Doolil and he was there for 3 years till I had to move. Cooper loved going but most of all Mimi the daycare lady helped him so much to become the amazing fir baby he is. She showed me how to be a good doggy mama. I would recommend taking you babies there, because if I ever needed help to this day she is still there for us. Even if we are going away for awhile, I can count on her. My dog Charlie, a very hyper border collie X, has been going to Mimi's daycare for over two years now. It has been the most enriching experience for my dog. Doggy Doolil is great! We would only send our dog to a place where we trust and know that she is safe and well cared for. Our dog has been going for almost three years.
