Worst dog daycare I've ever used!! Not only is this "business" run inside the owner's own home,…read morebut they have had to shutdown at least once due to giardia outbreak. For those effected, some of the dogs may have gotten sick, having diarrhea issues or worse. Granted it was possible some else's dog had it, but what kind of daycare doesn't clean enough to maintain a clean environment for our loved ones. Don't count on your dog being able to be playful either. If there is any possibility that the dogs might play with each other and become a bit vocal, they are shutdown and put away in crates for a "time out" until their bad behavior is over. This more like a POW Camp than a day care of dogs. Leave your dogs here at your own risk! If they do something wrong, the owner will try to make you pay for damage from the dogs not being supervised and taken care of. Read that contract before you sign up and ask if you can view the areas your pets will be in. You might be able to at the end of the day, but that's so you don't see what happens during normal business hours.

The previous place I was taking him was great except for the horrible stench, which I just couldn't deal with anymore. Pup Culture is in a great location as far as its proximity to my office, which is what I was looking for. Plus, they are open until 7pm, which is perfect - I work long hours and a 6pm closing time just doesn't cut it for me. My little guy (Maltese) perks up in the car when he knows we're getting close to Pup Culture and he literally lunges on his leash to get inside. All of the girls (I didn't see any guys, so not sure if there are any) who work there are super friendly and I can tell they genuinely enjoy being around the dogs. Whenever I need a daycare for my fur-baby, I will be going back to this place, without a doubt. There are dogs of different sizes there and they all seem to love it. He is anxious, and there were times he did not play appropriately with smaller dogs (he had too much energy, and he does not always recognize/respond to the other dog's body language of "please give me space." They gave me great feedback on how he was doing, but his trainer and I decided that daycare for my anxious dog would not let him be "his best self." I then transitioned him to their Woofer Walker Munchkin March pack walks, which is a much better fit for him. He gets to socialize with the other dogs in the pack walk, run himself silly, and sniff everything (animate and inanimate). Obi would walk over my dead body to get to Woofer Walker Judy! He is so excited when it is Woofer Walker day that he waits by the front door, staring at it until he hears the van pull up, and then loses his mind. Judy is very patient with his excitement. They let me know which days would be the best fit for him regarding the other dogs' personalities and play styles, so he goes every Tuesday and Thursday. They also post videos of some of the highlights of the walks and post pictures - it is the highlight of our evening to watch the videos! I've downloaded some of the images since they are great shots!

As I met more people, I had several people tell me about Woofer Walkers and decided to try them. My dog is always excited to go to daycare when we arrive. He loves so many of the staff and I always feel like Ali'i is in good hands. There were a couple of times when I had emergencies come up and the crew was always ready to receive Ali'i... they are always patient and understanding when things come up. My finance and I called Zoomies inquiring about their overnight boarding services. Everything…read moreseemed okay when we booked a night for our two dogs on Dec 31st for Jan 2nd. Later that evening on Dec 31st around 7 pm we received a call from Zoomies and were asked to bring our dogs in for a trial visit before they stayed overnight. We were asked to bring our dogs in at 630 am to 1130 am on Jan 2 even though we needed boarding services that same day at 1 pm. Today (Jan 1) I called the company and requested for a trial visit for today as we needed to know if they were able to board our dogs for Jan 2. Sammy the individual working called her boss and asked if we could come in today and we were appreciative of that as they were technically only open for the dogs that were already being boarded overnight and not for daycare. When I arrived at Zoomies with my 2 dogs I was then informed there would be a charge of $27 per dog for a full day visit. I was surprised and disappointed as this was never explained to us previously (the additional charges) and the charges were first mentioned when I was at the business with my 2 dogs ready to drop them off. I spoke to the owner Craig and informed him of all that had occurred and he said he would talk to his staff and offered his apologies. He stuck by the daycare rate and offered me no other options. Craig even informed me the overnight boarding option was new as of Dec 2014 and was for dogs that had already had a daycare visit. This was surprising for me to hear as this had not been mentioned on Dec 31st when we initially booked their services. I was unaware of the requirements for a overnight stay (i.e. the additional cost for a daycare visit). There was a huge barrier in communication here as well as poor customer service! We are extremely disappointed as we feel there were no other options made available to us as potential customers!

My dog has been to many, many trainers and this one is the best! My dog is great - but he is a…read morerescue, and he had some reactivity issues, anxiety issues, he had been abused before we got him, combine that with the fact that he is so energetic and just wants to bounce around all day - it makes for some frustrating times. When I contacted AKA K9, I was at the end of my leash! I was tired of always having my dog bark at anything that moved on a walk, I was tired of him pulling all the time, I was tired of people staring at me, and judging me like I'm the worlds worst owner, because I couldn't control my dog. I was tired of him never listening, and throwing little dog tantrums in the house; where he would basically tear around in circles and bark constantly at 3am. It was all very, very frustrating. (I think my neighbours were at the end of their leash too.) I initially contacted them with the intent to board and train my dog. The owner, Adam spent a good 20-30 minutes with me on the phone, explaining his techniques and his different programs. He was very nice on the phone and seemed to be quite knowledgable so I decided to sign up for a consultation package they had at the time, which included a consultation and a private lesson. I went for the consultation where I brought my dog and he talked in-depth about my dogs issues, my goals, and some resolutions which really helped, and we developed a training path. He was realistic about the time, and work I had to put in, and how long it would take. I decided to not go for the board and train route and I went to the private training class that was included instead to start. The private training lesson was life changing. I saw so so so much improvement after that one day, I learned so much that helped immensely on his walks and in his day to day life. Honestly, Adam was with him for an hour and he was so good with him, you could see right away that he knew how to handle dogs and create a good relationship between owner and dog. He gave us so much information that we understood and we were able to apply at home. After that, I worked with my dog for a few weeks. (we had a lot of work to do.) and it was so rewarding to actually see results! lots of improvements, all around. It so happened, that they were starting a group class right when I was about to book another private lesson, and I decided to put my dog in it. I wasn't sure if he would be ready for a group setting; he tends to get other dogs riled up around him and be very leash reactive. However, everything went smoothly. They really are professionals, and knew how to run the class efficiently and every staff member was great with the dogs. When my dog first started the class he would bark, and be so crazy until Adam or his staff came over. He also got very distracted by all the dogs, but at the end of the 7 weeks, he walked in and sat down calmly, ignoring the dogs and things around him. He was basically a different dog by the end of it, and his behaviour at home is like a new dog. I can take him on a walk and be barely reacts to anything around him. He still has work to do, don't get me wrong, but I am so proud of him!! After working with AKA K9 for the past few months (I think it has been around 4 or 5 since my first consultation) I have seen more improvements then I thought were possible. The thing that is also really great is that Adam is so open about being able to contact him whenever you need assistance, advice or have any issues. He really seems to care about each dog he works with and building a successful relationship between owner and dog. I will continue to work with Adam and his team at AKA K9 as I do believe, he is the best trainer out there. I live in Downtown Vancouver, and I drive 40 minutes to get to his training facility, I would not do that if it wasn't worth it. It kind of makes me annoyed at all the money I spent on the other trainers, (I know that sounds kind of cheesy but its true) I wish we had just found this company from the get go. Strongly, strongly, strongly recommend.

There's not a lot where they specialize in small dogs He's very anti social, but gets along better with dogs his size. I love love how they try to get my dog going with the other dogs. I love the energy Dan and Jo has for all these little small dogs. Very open people, initially while my Fiance and I were asking around the doggy day cares in the area; Dan openly said go to other businesses talk to them and let them know why we went with them. Not very many businesses ask why I took my business else where. The rates for doggy day care seem to be in the same range as the other locations. The play area is a bit small, however I don't mind it. It forces the dogs to socialize with one another.

Shaved her, even though I had a conversation with the owner Milena prior to grooming- Milena had told me that my puppy wouldn't be shaved because of the fact that she is too little and young and the fact that she just had her spay done. Yet my pup got shaved very short and blotchy - she is shaking till this day. CHLOE also cut her eye lash off and her ears are uneven!!! And when I called to complain they said I needed to come in for the refund- please note that the groomer CHLOE was not empathetic at this time and all she said was "I didn't see it" and when asked about her lashes she said "I thought it curled down". Still this is no excuse!!! So I went in for the refund and spoke with CHLOE face to face. She had the audacity to say "well, I was being sweared at" well, no shit, you made my first puppy bleed because of your fucking negligence, and kept saying that she had an rbf as well as a resting bitch tone........... I find this unacceptable. I posted on my Instagram and found out that CHLOE also did some other bad work on other pups and reacted the same way. They offered me to come back to get her groomed by the owner, but I'm too jaded to go back as my pup is already traumatized by that place. When I said my dog is traumatized and shivering, they offered me a little sweater for her, which was a nice gesture, but somehow this aggravated me even more, as if offering me free things would make this all better... It's infuriating, the fact that the groomer really didn't take ownership of what happened. Like, how could you or did you not know? Because CHLOE took less than 2 hrs to groom my pup. Had she taken her time, she could have avoided this whole thing. Maybe that's why the dog I saw on the way out did not want to go into this place.
