Jen is a multi blue ribbon award trainer. Her classes for puppies bring out the best in the puppy and create knowledgeable proud owners.

Come with an open mind and lots of patience. This is an awesome learning experience for you and…read moreyour dog. Took my dog here half a dozen times this past year for different classes. Dogsmart was recommended by a friend who raved about their instructors. Tracey, Masumi & Alice all were calm, patient and helpful as we did Beginner Life Skills, Tricks & Games, Shy or Fearful Dog, Dog Out & About and Dog Care Basics. Annette - the friendly lady at the front desk also kept on top of providing multiple notifications for upcoming classes and was always there to help. Training isn't easy and the style might not be for everyone. You will be grilled about how you are working with your dog in all aspects. Words you say, actions you take, actions you didn't take. You will learn a different order of doing things, be asked about what you're doing at that moment but have to listen and visually focus on your dog all at the same time..! My advice: Be patient and practice the activities to the best of your ability! Ask follow-up questions in-class or privately via email and come prepared to talk about what your dog is doing week to week. Retail therapy: there's a shop with a selection of training toys, treats and supplies. It's an awesome spot for anyone looking for new treats to engage your dog at reasonable prices. My shy uncertain dog has grown to like this place and open his little heart. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Dogsmart for focusing on progress and for providing affordable & interesting classes to help Vancouver-area dogs grow.

Terrible training experience. Terrible advice. Condescending, judgemental trainer who constantly…read moretalked down to us. The advice made a slightly anxious puppy extremely reactive. Now spending a small fortune on a behaviourist to undo the damage. Basically. I've found out that everything the trainer told me was absolutely wrong.

I have found my permanent groomers!! I know how stressful it can be to finding a grooming place. I…read morehave two dogs and the previous one I went to would cut my dog with the razor. Any who, not only did Dharma dogs respond to me so quickly, their quote was the same online and for what I paid for. I brought in my 7month old dog and my dog is crazy, she is super active, very friendly and wants to meet everyone. It was her first haircut and she had so much matting I wasn't sure how she was going to react to grooming. But this grooming place really took care of Stella. She was perfectly cut, behaved, with no problems. Had all the matting cut in less than 2 hours. They work fast!! They had about 2-3 other dogs and had my dog perfectly cut in half the time at another groomers. Also a big part of why I like this place is because of the staff. The person who cut Stella was super nice. I wish I got her name. Will be coming back and request the woman who cut Stella. - will update with her name.

I had TWO disastrous experiences with Darma Dog. The first time they groomed my dog, he had FIVE…read morenicks in his skin FIVE!!! He was extremely upset when I picked him up. Due to serious illness, I was slow to reach out and complain. They offered me a second grooming at 50% off. It was a TERRIBLE DISASTER!! They shaved my dog completely including his tail ( a POODLE!) He looked like a rat with all his hair shaved off his body and especially his entire tail!! That was brutal! His face was very carelessly trimmed. My niece, who is a nurse, used her scissors to clean up his very messy face. Both times I had him groomed there, he came out upset and traumatized. Far more serious was the fact that he could NOT walk properly for nearly a week and he absolutely could not run. ( he is a two year old poodle who runs like the wind every day) . Had I not been so ill myself, I would have dealt with this at the time. My poor dog could not WALK!! He'd take a could of steps then sit. He kept turning his head towards his bum. Goodness knows WHAT they did to him! He was clearly in some pain and it was awful to see him trying to walk. So, the other two places I had him groomed were fine. Darma Dog is a place I would NEVER set foot in again. Recently, I talked with a woman at Trout Lake. Her dog had been groomed at Darma Dog. He also could hardly walk afterwards but she determined that his nails had been cut way too short causing pain when he walked. I loved the name Darma Dog. They were warm and friendly but my dog got really HARMED TWICE!

I initially started taking my dog Obi-Wags Kenobi to the Woofer Walker daycare for some…read moresocialization since he is an "only dog." He is anxious, and there were times he did not play appropriately with smaller dogs (he had too much energy, and he does not always recognize/respond to the other dog's body language of "please give me space." They gave me great feedback on how he was doing, but his trainer and I decided that daycare for my anxious dog would not let him be "his best self." I then transitioned him to their Woofer Walker Munchkin March pack walks, which is a much better fit for him. He gets to socialize with the other dogs in the pack walk, run himself silly, and sniff everything (animate and inanimate). Obi would walk over my dead body to get to Woofer Walker Judy! He is so excited when it is Woofer Walker day that he waits by the front door, staring at it until he hears the van pull up, and then loses his mind. Judy is very patient with his excitement. They let me know which days would be the best fit for him regarding the other dogs' personalities and play styles, so he goes every Tuesday and Thursday. They also post videos of some of the highlights of the walks and post pictures - it is the highlight of our evening to watch the videos! I've downloaded some of the images since they are great shots!

As I met more people, I had several people tell me about Woofer Walkers and decided to try them. My dog is always excited to go to daycare when we arrive. He loves so many of the staff and I always feel like Ali'i is in good hands. There were a couple of times when I had emergencies come up and the crew was always ready to receive Ali'i... they are always patient and understanding when things come up. One of the best places I STILL take Ali'i when I have to go away for the week or even just a day in daycare. Thanks to Bella, Justin, and crew for keeping our pups safe!
