I had hired Drew based on a recommendation from a friend and x-coworker and I am glad that I did…read more In May 2014. I had met a women from of craigslist and bought a crazy dog named Luna. Luna was any where between 5-8 months and I would now be her 4th owner. Luna was an extra large puppy about 75lbs a shepherd, boarder collie, retriever cross and facing many health problems as well as behaviour issues that were unfolding by the day. Luna is now between 98-100lbs. Luna was hyperactive, barely knew to sit, would chronically whine, stress bark/scream became reactive (barking and lunging) at dogs, buses, large trucks and would lose complete control if she saw anyone with a ball of any kind. Luna could not focus at all was high stressed, high strung and a handful who is a super athletic dog who is strong. Luna wold turn her frustration to me and jump up and nip and mouth leaving me with busies and often in tears. Drew and I worked for the same company for many years knew of one another but didn't know one another well. Meeting drew on our first consultation I was so nervous I was trembling. My fear was that Drew would tell me that Luna should be put down or was hopeless to train, would have no dog friends and was aggressive. (Something another trainer advised me) I loved Luna and saw her struggles the moment she stepped out of the craigslist posters car and I knew I wouldn't give up on her. Drew is supportive and not once indicated that there was no hope for Luna. Drew tried all kinds of tactics to reach and connect with Luna. Drew helped me perfect my body language and increase my confidence working a strong, working breed. Drew helped me break down step by step every challenge I was facing (and there were many) Every time I needed Drew a solution was provided. It was a struggle and Drew's commitment to Luna was an inspiration and motivation to keep going. Today Luna has peace a gift Drew helped me create with Luna. Luna knows well over 50 commands well, Luna is obedient has learned to ignore all dogs, has actually made dog friends and can be trusted with puppies as young at 9 weeks old with no issues. Luna now walks with young puppies and adolescent dogs giving them confidence and lesson their fear of large dogs. With Drew, you will see immediate improvement and come out of the experience with a plan and confidence to take on any situation. Luna is my best friend and continues to help other dogs that were just like she was in the beginning because of Drew's gift and dedication to dogs. I am forever grateful. Carey Bolduc

We hired Drew to help us with our rescue Australian cattle dog. Before Drew came our dog was…read morereactive and difficult to walk. Our dog was also aggressive with visitors to the house, which was having impacts on our lives. Drew set up a training schedule for us, was extremely knowledgeable and great to work with. He was very patient in training us to be the best dog owners we could be. He also helped us with crate training, heeling and a number of other commands. We would have no qualms in recommending Drew's services and we are so happy with our well behaved pup.

Holly is an incredibly kind and knowledgeable trainer who actually has a background in the science of training and working with animals. This meant that whenever we had a question about why a specific method does or does not work, she was able to provide a clear and concise explanation. On top of this, she is able to provide recommendations for further learning and other materials that are helpful when we're alone with our dog. Because of Holly, our dog is doing wonderfully and is well behaved with other dogs, people, children and even cats. We believe that we owe a great amount to Holly for her help in getting our dog to be the best that she can be!

I received a reply within a few hours of contacting the training team. They were very informative and thorough when describing the different programs offered. They offer a free call or FaceTime with a trainer to get information on your pet, after which you're given a recommendation on what program would be best for your dog. I rescued a year old shepherd mix last month who needed basic obedience training and we started classes last week. A few of the people in the class said the program had completely changed their dog and recommended we do the 8 week class. First class is free, and if you like it ( which we did ) you can sign up. We worked on "sit", "watch me" and "down" in the first class. I'm looking forward the rest of the program!

Shannon responded to my email right away and we set up a private lesson in our home. The lesson was fantastic. She provided a lot of useful resources for us and showed us helpful training methods. She even spent longer than she had to with us. I was excited for the next lesson. Then my partner and I got busy with work. The Growl Classes are scheduled for Saturdays, so I emailed Shannon and asked what the consequences were if we weren't able to attend all the classes. She said that drop-ins aren't available for the Growl Class. However, it wasn't her, but someone named Jennifer, that was running the class. So she cc'd Jennifer in the email and said that she'll let her address my questions. So I waited. It's been over a month and I never got a response from Jennifer. I know I could have followed-up myself but I was disappointed by the lack of customer service. Who knows, maybe I misunderstood the email altogether and I was expected to email Jennifer directly instead of waiting for a response. Either way, I don't fault Shannon and I would recommend her to anyone looking for private training lessons. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the classes.

I am pretty loyal to a dog grooming salon a few blocks from my home but they were totally booked up…read morefor the whole month, and NO WAY can my dog wait until November! She looks like a feral hyena and needs serious grooming IMMEDIATELY! My good friend swears by Woof and their groomers there, and he's taken his dog there for many years. So I called and booked an appointment (they were able to see me in a few days' time), and I was pleased with the whole booking experience (even got a reminder text the day prior). My appointment was for 9am and, unbeknownst the me, the place opens at 9am, and I was early (I always give myself extra time when going to a new place. This dog salon was easy to find, on 1st, right by Cypress, and there was a lot of available parking on the street at this time. Meters don't require payment until 9am, too, so that worked out nicely!). I walked my dog around the area (lots of grassy areas on the side streets. Unfortunately, no trash cans for disposing of the doggie bags, though). I got to Woof's front door at 8:50am and, despite it being closed, someone inside saw me and opened the door to let us in. That was really nice! I met Yuki and Verana (?sp) and they were super friendly, and I briefly went over my dog's history (she is elderly and has Addison's and other..issues). I gave them a few photos of past haircuts my dog had that I liked. I was told my dog would be ready in 1.5-2 hours, and they would text or call me to let me know when she was ready. I received the text 90 minutes later, and when I arrived, I have to say, my dog never looked better! Seriously, what a phenomenal haircut! (I'm posting a few pics so you can see!). It wasn't cheap (in my experience, no dog groomer here in Van IS), and in fact, cost about $5 more than my regular groomer. But Woof's turn-around time is shorter than my usual groomers' (and this is important, for a stressed-out senior dog), and they really have the personal touch here. Even though my regular groomer is a few blocks from me and I walk there with my dog, I just might have to switch loyalties here, I liked Woof so much.
