Scott is a warm, calm, caring guy who makes you feel at ease in his presence…read more Our dog Huxley loved him. Huxley always wagged his tail lovingly at Scott, even though Huxley didn't always love travelling on the 'fun bus', which was how Scott would take him to day care everyday during the week. Scott had an excellent connection with Huxley and was able to read his mood and every need. He was always really considerate to Huxley; for example, giving him the best crate, upfront with a view, when he was new to the 'fun bus' and later when he was injured - which was a major worry for us. He also recognised things that helped calm Huxley (e.g. asking us to provide a blanket that smelt of us to travel with him), and noticed subtle changes in Huxley's behaviour. I highly recommend Scott's service. If you want someone genuinely caring who can develop a real connection with your dog and care for your buddy with the same level of responsibility as you do, then Scott is the perfect person for the job. If Scott was in the UK we would definitely utilise his service, confident in the knowledge that our dog was in safe hands and happy to be with him. Mark & Shai

I initially started taking my dog Obi-Wags Kenobi to the Woofer Walker daycare for some…read moresocialization since he is an "only dog." He is anxious, and there were times he did not play appropriately with smaller dogs (he had too much energy, and he does not always recognize/respond to the other dog's body language of "please give me space." They gave me great feedback on how he was doing, but his trainer and I decided that daycare for my anxious dog would not let him be "his best self." I then transitioned him to their Woofer Walker Munchkin March pack walks, which is a much better fit for him. He gets to socialize with the other dogs in the pack walk, run himself silly, and sniff everything (animate and inanimate). Obi would walk over my dead body to get to Woofer Walker Judy! He is so excited when it is Woofer Walker day that he waits by the front door, staring at it until he hears the van pull up, and then loses his mind. Judy is very patient with his excitement. They let me know which days would be the best fit for him regarding the other dogs' personalities and play styles, so he goes every Tuesday and Thursday. They also post videos of some of the highlights of the walks and post pictures - it is the highlight of our evening to watch the videos! I've downloaded some of the images since they are great shots!

As I met more people, I had several people tell me about Woofer Walkers and decided to try them. My dog is always excited to go to daycare when we arrive. He loves so many of the staff and I always feel like Ali'i is in good hands. There were a couple of times when I had emergencies come up and the crew was always ready to receive Ali'i... they are always patient and understanding when things come up. One of the best places I STILL take Ali'i when I have to go away for the week or even just a day in daycare. Thanks to Bella, Justin, and crew for keeping our pups safe!

There are no formal policies for deposits, refunds, or cancellations--everything seems to change on a whim. Payments are demanded at random times and arbitrary dates, and the owner routinely contradicts herself depending on the situation. Ruby tragically passed away a week before our scheduled August stay, for which I had prepaid $800 in full. Despite the circumstances, Harman only offered a partial refund and has spent more than two months giving one excuse after another for why the payment still hasn't been returned. To make matters worse, in another Yelp response she herself stated that her policy is to refund clients if a trip is canceled--yet she refused to do the same for me after my young dog had just died. What started as a place I trusted to care for Ruby has turned into a deeply frustrating and disheartening experience. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic empathy is astounding. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

Our Evie is a lot of dog (and yet also quite timid!) and so puppy kindergarten wasn't enough, we needed more help. We looked again for classes closer to home, and luckily this place was just opening. It's exactly what we needed in Point Grey! Sarah and Katrina are wonderful, both at understanding what our canine friends are trying to tell us, and at helping the humans in the equation understand what part we need to play. The flexible scheduling is unique and very welcome, they have free Office Hours (such a useful idea!), and there are e-mail handouts, too, to help you remember what you learned in class. While we've enjoyed having the trainers all to ourselves on occasion, we REALLY want this place to stay in business, so please come check them out, and tell them Evie (the whippet) sent you!
