Food was great!! Probably the best pizza I've had up until this point! The food had the right mixture, nothing was overdone and the ingredients mixed right together perfectly. I had the Hot Honey pizza and the Straight Fire Pizza. They did not disappoint. We also tried the Truffle Daddy pizza and added Honey Habanero sauce to it and I had no regrets. Service was great! Our waiter went above and beyond, answering our questions as needed! The reason I gave it four stars was that it was packed, giving us about a 1 hour and 15 minutes wait when the waitress said about 45 minutes. Yet we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes until our 3 fresh pizzas rolled out. However, it was a Saturday night when we went, which makes the timing understandable. The aesthetic of the place was neat, to that of a true and authentic pizza place! We could see the people making the pizza from where we were sitting. The cleanliness was mid grade, which is expected with that foot traffic. Table could've been cleaner by the time we sat down. I did not go to the bathroom, so I have no idea how it appears. Another thing that I didn't like was that the restaurant was pretty loud, making conversations hard. I also couldn't really tell what music they had playing, but I believe it was modern. I came in really wanting to love Cane Rosso! I had heard such amazing things about the pizza, and I do love a wood fire pizza. I stopped by for an early dinner before an event I planned on going too nearby. They have a small lot for parking, which I could see filling up easily, but they are near-ish to a bus stop if you are a fan of trying out the public transport system! I will say staff was a full 5 stars!! Really informative, and helped me out with what the specials were for the time that I came by. I ended up paying what I would have just for the pizza for both the appetizer and the pizza I originally came in to try. The app I tried, dough bites, are addicting and easy to eat way to many of in one sitting. The pizza was where I felt there was some lack luster. With the special I got you could pick between MARGHERITA, EMMA or ELLA. I tried Ella which comes with Hot soppressata, which was described as a slightly different form of peperoni. I wanted to try it, didn't care for it but easy enough to pick off without loosing the cheese. That was on me for going for the try something different of the three special options. My complaint in regards to the pizza itself seems to be a regular issue looking at other reviews. For me it easily used another minute or two in the oven for it to have had that perfect not to crispy but still firm enough to actually pick up and eat like a piece of pizza vs a very soggy bottom. Plus, I had some sauce drip that was a bit more liquid vs saucy if that's understandable. The event I went to ended up being a bust for me, so I was able to get my leftovers home quickly to reheat for others at home to try. They agreed sticking it back in the oven helped it a lot. If I had paid full price for just the pizza I don't think I would have felt it was worth it, but for it to be the price it was with the special it was ok enough to have tried it and decided it wasn't for me. I will come try out another menu item or two either at this location or another; but unfortunately I will skip out on the pizza next time. read more

First time here based on a recommendation, and while I'd heard this was the best handmade pizza in town, it wasn't quite what I expected. Upon arrival, there was a short wait to be seated and a bit more for service. Our server briefly explained the menu, and I was excited to try this place specifically for a 'white sauce' pizza, as it's listed online for that. However, they don't actually offer traditional white sauce pizzas, which was a letdown. To start, I ordered 'The Fried Nuggz'--mozzarella sticks in ball form. These were solid at 8/10, with a fresh-tasting marinara sauce and flavorful breading. I also tried a white sauce pizza with chicken and spinach, which unfortunately was only a 4/10. The crust was too thin, the pizza turned out wet, and overall, it didn't seem well-prepared. I also ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and sadly, it didn't meet expectations either. I'd give it a 4/10 as well; the sauce was watery, the flavors were lacking, the noodles were undercooked, and the chicken was chewy, even though the dish looked appetizing. It was incredibly refreshing in this Texas heat and I loved the sweetness level. Reminded me of a frozen lemonade. For appetizers we ordered the burrata and a Caesar salad. Burrata was perfection. I loved the toasty focaccia bread and the balsamic cherries had just the right amount of sweetness. Caesar salad was delish too, you can tell they make their own dressing by the fresh anchovies and you can really taste the difference. We also ordered their baked penne bolo, El Jefe sandwich, margherita pizza and a jabroni pizza. Penne was okay. It was a bit dry, needed more sauce honestly. My husband enjoyed his El Jefe; if you are a meat lover, this is the sandwich for you! It was packed with several different meat slices and absolutely fulfilling. I really enjoyed the Jabroni. Cane Rosso does wood-fired pizzas, and this is what their menu says about them: "All pizzas are 14" and prepared in the Neapolitan tradition, with a bit of olive oil and a few leaves of basil. Pizzas cook in less than 90 seconds at 900 degrees. Gluten-friendly dough is available for $4. Make any pizza SPICY with calabrian chiles and Yellowbird hot sauce for $2." Well sign me up to spend an extra $6, because I'm definitely getting a GF pie, and definitely making it spicy! I've only had the gluten free pizza here, of course, and it's great. As far as "red" pizzas go, my favorites are the margherita and the "straight fire" made with Calabrian chile béchamel, hot soppressata, jalapeños, mushrooms, and housemade mozzarella. For "white" pies, I love the "honey bastard" with mozzarella, soppressata, bacon marmalade, and habanero honey! I'm also really into the "la flama blanca" made with mozzarella, ricotta, garlic schmutz, crushed red pepper, and basil. All their pizzas are truly so good!
