I went to pie tap this evening and did not have a great experience. I came in with two other people around 7:30 there was only two other tables. Service was alright, but it took 30 minutes to get our food. Once the food was served I noticed my order was made incorrectly so I sent it back. It then took another 15 minutes for me to get my correct meal and the server did not apologize nor notice the long wait. The rest of my party had had time to finish their meals before I even got mine. I work in the restaurant industry and have dealt many times with meals being made incorrectly, never once!did it take 15 minutes to correct the mistake read more

Incredible experience here. We were able to get reservations last minute and we were sat in the bar area. The place was huge! And the lighting was dim. There's an atrium-looking room which looked like a private party room, but it was part of the bar area and it has no roof so it's hot when it's hot and cold when it's cold. On the way to the restrooms, there's more of a private seating area where they seat larger parties. Our server was actually the head bartender, Maxwell. He was awesome! He recommended great drinks for us and he gave a little background on the menu because this was our first time there. The pizza crust is made from 300 year old sourdough starter! It says it on their box so it must be true! But seriously, it's gut healthy. I didn't feel heavy after the meal. Our party hadn't eaten for about 7 hours so our eyes were incredibly hungry. We ended up ordering the burrata and the watermelon salad. Both of which were delectable. We also ordered the truffle cheesesteak to share between all four of us. It was good. I personally didn't taste the truffle in it, but overall the meat was tender and the provolone was oozing from the cheesesteak. The caramelized onions took it over the top for me. Then came our two pies. We chose the ones that had the little greater than signs on the menu. I was assuming that's what they were known for. Hot pepperoni and the prosciutto. Hot pepperoni was not too spicy, which I liked because when something is too spicy, all you taste is the spice. This gave a bit of kick, while maintaining the taste of the pepperoni. I think my favorite out of the two was the prosciutto. It had every flavor and texture that I was looking for. It was sweet from the balsamic, savory from the prosciutto, had a bit of bitterness and the crunch from the arugula. It was crunchy and soft at the same time lol. Stopped in for drinks and a pizza to go. I had a blueberry smash and a dirty martini (though they forgot the olives!), and both drinks were enjoyable. We ordered a gluten-free Margherita pizza to take home, and it was delicious. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, which made for a relaxed experience. One thing to note: there are doors on the side designated for takeout, but we initially tried the front door because we didn't realize it was an actual entrance. The front doors were also a bit difficult to open, which added to the confusion. Service was great - love the smiles and the energy. What a fun stop in Fort Worth! The sourdough pizza is worth the hype. The vibe is fun and young inside, and service was friendly even when the kitchen got a bit backed up. Such a nice little spot on Magnolia. During happy hour in a surprise storm, my family and I ducked inside after ice cream to share a $15 large half pepperoni and half chicken pizza with rosemary bread puffs. Our server, Hayden, was quick to let us know all about their in house sourdough that was easy to brag about. The littlest one in our party had a cheese pizza and a side salad, which did not have as many obvious carrots as she hoped, she expressed. Still, she very much enjoyed sharing bites with the table. My dish was the gnocchi and it was barely warm, because it was waiting for my daughter's kid cheese pizza...that we didn't order....We ordered Mac and cheese. My boyfriend and I stopped by Pie Tap for dinner while we were exploring the Fort Worth area. We wanted to try different pizzas and our server said we could split the pizza so we got half bbq and half salami. The salami was our favorite but the bbq chicken was still super good. My boyfriend also wanted to try the spicy rigatoni pasta and he liked it. The flavor was really good but the sauce was pretty liquidy rather than creamy and thicker like we expected. We've been to PT several times- it's our usual go to for our anniversary and a couple of date nights throughout the year. The pizza is always delicious. We appreciate the long-fermentation of the dough & minimal ingredients. Last night we visited and while the service was good & the pizza was delicious- I did have one complaint. I ordered the zero-proof piña colada drink and was shocked when they brought back a skinny little glass. It was delicious! However, it was WAY overpriced. I mean it was gone in maybe 4 sips? Online the price said $6, but in store it was $8? The other HUGE issue I had was that the drink had tajin on the rim & the pineapple piece. One of my absolute BIGGEST pet peeves with restaurants is when I order something and it's brought with something added that was NOT listed on the menu. I had to double check to make sure I didn't miss the "tajin" in the description of the drink- but as I had assumed, it just wasn't mentioned. Online there is a photo of the drink, but on the actual menu in store, there is no photo, just a description. Please don't put something into/onto a menu item if you don't list it. I don't like spicy stuff- i certainly didn't want spicy with a sweet piña colada. At least add the "tajin" to the menu so I can ask for the drink without it! read more

It was my mom's birthday and she was in the mood for Italian. I had heard good things about Pie Tap so Pie Tap it was! We came in on a cold Monday night. We parked at street parking across the restaurant without issue. Inside, we were promptly seated. The inside is nice and dim with an open kitchen. We started the night off with the Fondue. The rosemary buffs were delicious and the perfect vehicle for the two different dips - goat cheese fondue and pecan pepper jam. I really enjoyed the goat cheese. It was nice and hearty, pairing very well with the bread. The pepper jam added a sweet touch but I'm more a savory person so I was more than content with the cheese itself. My mom got the papparadelle and bolognese while I got the sausage pizza. The papparadelle was nice and al dente. It paired well with the bolognese sauce. However, I felt it was warm when it came out so it got cold quickly. The sausage pizza was delicious! The star of the pie were easily the carmelized onions - added such a perfect level of sweetness that it really elevated the whole dish. The crust also went well with the cheese from the fondue. At this point in the evening, we were feeling pretty full. Nonetheless, our waiter, Seamus, knew it was my mom's birthday. With that in mind, he treated us to the donuts. They came with chocolate sauce and strawberry jam. Both were good. I personally preferred the chocolate since that's what I usually lean more towards. We thought it was such a nice gesture. The night was that much more special because of Seamus. Overall, althrough everything wasn't perfect (not that it should have been), the work and effort was clearly there. My friend and I spent the day in Fort Worth and decided to try PieTap -- and it absolutely did not disappoint! The decor inside is beautiful, with a cozy vibe, and there's a charming little outdoor area featuring an awesome tree that adds so much character. Our server, Quinn, was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive, checking in just the right amount without ever being too much. We both went with the lunch special -- 1/2 pie and a salad for just $12 (such a great deal!). Since we were celebrating, we treated ourselves to a couple of adult beverages. She had the Smoked Old Fashioned, and I went for the Espresso Martini -- both were excellent. Even better, the happy hour pricing during lunch (which is rare) made them only $7 each! We're already looking forward to going back. Definitely a new favorite spot in Fort Worth! My parents and I were in the area and saw that they had happy hour and decided to give it a try. I've dined at Pie Tap before in Lower Greenville but this was my first time at this location. The interior is pretty cool, very industrial looking. There's also a nice little patio seating room with a tree that we saw but didn't dine in that area. Service was great and quick during our visit. I've been five times now and here are my observations: Too many servers standing around by the kitchen line on their phones with the manager. No one checks on their tables in a timely manner, guests are constantly looking for their server who do the bare minimum. It's as if we are doing them a favor. The hand sanitizer thing is odd and should be stopped. It makes people feel uncomfortable. People can just wash their hands in the bathroom - which does have a great vibe. Sat at the bar and Service was wonderful! The food was so delicious! We had the honey chicken sandwich and the smash burger. The chicken sandwich had a great balance of flavor and the sourdough bread was so tasty! The burger was amazing! The flavor on that burger was spot on and the jalapeños gave it a great kick! This restaurant has been the backdrop for so many special memories--family dinners, celebrations, and even the meal where I shared with my family that I was pregnant. Because of that, it has always held a special place in my heart. That's why this last visit was so disappointing. The menu has been completely changed, and it honestly feels like half of what it used to be. So many of our favorite items are gone, including the salad I always ordered and the chicken sandwich. Even the bread and the incredible jam that made it so memorable have been replaced. I was so surprised that I asked our waitress if I had accidentally come during brunch or if there was a different menu, and she told me they had changed the entire menu the night before. Unfortunately, the service didn't make up for it. I don't know if it was our waitress's first day, but she wasn't able to answer most of the questions I had about the new menu. On top of that, the pizza I ordered came out incorrectly. I understand that restaurants evolve and update their menus, but this felt like losing so much of what made this place special. It no longer had the charm or experience that kept my family coming back over the years. I truly hope they consider bringing back some of their signature dishes and the little touches that made this restaurant feel unique. I'm in for a short vacation from OKC. I stopped for the lunch special. I had the half pizza and half salad. (I also had a Pina mocktail.) The salad was delicious, but overdressed. We were a four top, two adults and two children. We ordered the kids food right away and that came out timely. Unfortunately for the parents we waited for ~1 hour and food didn't come out. We looked around and no one else has food meanwhile to go orders were being filled. The staff was apologetic and professional so can't ask for more than that. We ended up asking for the check so we could leave without our dinner. Got the check and they charged $26 for a glass of wine but we had ordered a glass of the house wine. To the staff's credit they comped it when this was brought up. So the staff did a good job. Not sure what was the issue with the kitchen. read more

Came here for lunch one day and was immediately greeted by Hayden who was my server. This was my second time here and honestly, I have to say that this place just has really great customer service!! Hayden was super sweet and super helpful with navigating the menu as there are so many good options and I really appreciate when people have their own personal recommendations that they don't mind passing along. My drink and my food came super quick and guys--It was so amazing. I ordered the mushroom pizza as well as some fries on the lunch special menu and I also got a frozé-- Because why not?! Hayden was truly, so outstanding! He has got to be one of my favorite servers that I've ever had! He was super super sweet and very respectful and always led with a smile. I'm sure it was my order, when I complain the manager said that wasn't the order that wasn't my order. When I walked out of the restaurant after 50 minutes, they still did not have my meat lovers style of pizza cooking in the oven. They do make a good pizza, they just have crappy customer service. Unfortunately, our first experience did not leave a noticeable impression since we both prefer thick pizzas (theirs are ultra skinny) and the carbonara did not taste like other carbonara. Sauce was watery instead of creamy, and I didn't care for the poach egg. On the contrary, my boyfriend tasted my pasta and loved it; so much so that we decided to come back a few weeks later and he ordered the carbonara while I tried to go for the sandwiches. I'm glad to have tried it because their chicken sandwich is AMAZING. Very good melted cheese combined with well cooked, crispy skin yet soft chicken meat. 10/10 would order again. They have a really good crust; they do a 3 day natural fermentation process and it's different from the others. The service is good and the wait isn't bad either.
