During happy hour in a surprise storm, my family and I ducked inside after ice cream to share a $15 large half pepperoni and half chicken pizza with rosemary bread puffs. Our server, Hayden, was quick to let us know all about their in house sourdough that was easy to brag about. The littlest one in our party had a cheese pizza and a side salad, which did not have as many obvious carrots as she hoped, she expressed. Still, she very much enjoyed sharing bites with the table. We wanted to try different pizzas and our server said we could split the pizza so we got half bbq and half salami. The salami was our favorite but the bbq chicken was still super good. Don't bother to order online. I waited an additional 20 after they said my order would be done. So 50 minutes. On a Thursday night. I ask for my order, saw the girl mention something to the Chef watch to make my style of pizza and put it in the oven. 15 minutes later, they took the pizza out and a server walked over, picked it up and took a to a table. I'm sure it was my order, when I complain the manager said that wasn't the order that wasn't my order. However, the cook had basically caught up to the Orders and wasn't really making any more pizzas at that moment. My parents and I were in the area and saw that they had happy hour and decided to give it a try. I've dined at Pie Tap before in Lower Greenville but this was my first time at this location. It was my mom's birthday and she was in the mood for Italian. I had heard good things about Pie Tap so Pie Tap it was! We came in on a cold Monday night. We parked at street parking across the restaurant without issue. Inside, we were promptly seated. The inside is nice and dim with an open kitchen. We started the night off with the Fondue. The rosemary buffs were delicious and the perfect vehicle for the two different dips - goat cheese fondue and pecan pepper jam. I really enjoyed the goat cheese. It was nice and hearty, pairing very well with the bread. The pepper jam added a sweet touch but I'm more a savory person so I was more than content with the cheese itself. My mom got the papparadelle and bolognese while I got the sausage pizza. The papparadelle was nice and al dente. It paired well with the bolognese sauce. However, I felt it was warm when it came out so it got cold quickly. The sausage pizza was delicious! The star of the pie were easily the carmelized onions - added such a perfect level of sweetness that it really elevated the whole dish. The crust also went well with the cheese from the fondue. At this point in the evening, we were feeling pretty full. Nonetheless, our waiter, Seamus, knew it was my mom's birthday. With that in mind, he treated us to the donuts. They came with chocolate sauce and strawberry jam. Both were good. I personally preferred the chocolate since that's what I usually lean more towards. We thought it was such a nice gesture. The night was that much more special because of Seamus. Overall, althrough everything wasn't perfect (not that it should have been), the work and effort was clearly there. The decor inside is beautiful, with a cozy vibe, and there's a charming little outdoor area featuring an awesome tree that adds so much character. Our server, Quinn, was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive, checking in just the right amount without ever being too much. We both went with the lunch special -- 1/2 pie and a salad for just $12 (such a great deal!). Since we were celebrating, we treated ourselves to a couple of adult beverages. She had the Smoked Old Fashioned, and I went for the Espresso Martini -- both were excellent. We were a four top, two adults and two children. We ordered the kids food right away and that came out timely. Unfortunately for the parents we waited for ~1 hour and food didn't come out. We looked around and no one else has food meanwhile to go orders were being filled. The staff was apologetic and professional so can't ask for more than that. We ended up asking for the check so we could leave without our dinner. Got the check and they charged $26 for a glass of wine but we had ordered a glass of the house wine. Went to Magnolio (Fort Worth) on 6/24/26 for a late lunch my wife wanted the 1/2 salad and 1/2 pie they said no due to it was not on the dinner menu just lunch and it was about 3:30 in the afternoon so we were also waiting for our drinks which were taking forever so we decided to walk out. By the time we got to our vehicle we were approached by one of the managers and told us to come back and they would make it better, so we did. She got her salad and we got the first round of drinks. Now this is what happened next, we waited for the rest of our order to be served and waited till our drinks were empty, still waiting now we put our empty glasses to the end of the table (Hint Hint) the server just kept walking by and not even paying any attention to us and the managers were just standing around the pizza area talking. I finally asked who was in charge and he came to our table and I said we are done with this, and I will pay for what we got. He said it was on the house and that was it. Never got the rest of our food that we were waiting forever for and never asked about a fresh round of drinks. The service was totally unprofessional, and we will never go back there again. We were regulars there and totally enjoyed the food but have notice a lot of turnovers as far as servers. and that particular server had only been there a month, and I don't believe she was trained very well. We chose this place for a dinner date as I was craving good pasta; I'm a huge lover of the carbonara and that was what I ordered while he ordered one of the pizzas. Unfortunately, our first experience did not leave a noticeable impression since we both prefer thick pizzas (theirs are ultra skinny) and the carbonara did not taste like other carbonara. Sauce was watery instead of creamy, and I didn't care for the poach egg. On the contrary, my boyfriend tasted my pasta and loved it; so much so that we decided to come back a few weeks later and he ordered the carbonara while I tried to go for the sandwiches. I'm glad to have tried it because their chicken sandwich is AMAZING. Very good melted cheese combined with well cooked, crispy skin yet soft chicken meat. 10/10 would order again.
