I'm in for a short vacation from OKC. I stopped for the lunch special. I had the half pizza and half salad. (I also had a Pina mocktail.) The salad was delicious, but overdressed. The pizza was the best pizza of my life. I had the salami pizza. My service was also exemplary. The host offered me a spritz of hand sanitizer when he seated me, and my waiter was the perfect balance of attentive and polite. I would recommend the place to anyone and everyone! 10/10 read more

Incredible experience here. We were able to get reservations last minute and we were sat in the bar area. The place was huge! And the lighting was dim. There's an atrium-looking room which looked like a private party room, but it was part of the bar area and it has no roof so it's hot when it's hot and cold when it's cold. On the way to the restrooms, there's more of a private seating area where they seat larger parties. Our server was actually the head bartender, Maxwell. He was awesome! He recommended great drinks for us and he gave a little background on the menu because this was our first time there. The pizza crust is made from 300 year old sourdough starter! It says it on their box so it must be true! But seriously, it's gut healthy. I didn't feel heavy after the meal. Our party hadn't eaten for about 7 hours so our eyes were incredibly hungry. We ended up ordering the burrata and the watermelon salad. Both of which were delectable. We also ordered the truffle cheesesteak to share between all four of us. It was good. I personally didn't taste the truffle in it, but overall the meat was tender and the provolone was oozing from the cheesesteak. The caramelized onions took it over the top for me. Then came our two pies. We chose the ones that had the little greater than signs on the menu. I was assuming that's what they were known for. Hot pepperoni and the prosciutto. Hot pepperoni was not too spicy, which I liked because when something is too spicy, all you taste is the spice. This gave a bit of kick, while maintaining the taste of the pepperoni. I think my favorite out of the two was the prosciutto. It had every flavor and texture that I was looking for. It was sweet from the balsamic, savory from the prosciutto, had a bit of bitterness and the crunch from the arugula. It was crunchy and soft at the same time lol. Stopped in for drinks and a pizza to go. I had a blueberry smash and a dirty martini (though they forgot the olives!), and both drinks were enjoyable. We ordered a gluten-free Margherita pizza to take home, and it was delicious. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, which made for a relaxed experience. One thing to note: there are doors on the side designated for takeout, but we initially tried the front door because we didn't realize it was an actual entrance. The front doors were also a bit difficult to open, which added to the confusion. Service was great - love the smiles and the energy. Such a nice little spot on Magnolia. During happy hour in a surprise storm, my family and I ducked inside after ice cream to share a $15 large half pepperoni and half chicken pizza with rosemary bread puffs. Our server, Hayden, was quick to let us know all about their in house sourdough that was easy to brag about. The littlest one in our party had a cheese pizza and a side salad, which did not have as many obvious carrots as she hoped, she expressed. Still, she very much enjoyed sharing bites with the table. My dish was the gnocchi and it was barely warm, because it was waiting for my daughter's kid cheese pizza...that we didn't order....We ordered Mac and cheese. My boyfriend and I stopped by Pie Tap for dinner while we were exploring the Fort Worth area. We wanted to try different pizzas and our server said we could split the pizza so we got half bbq and half salami. The salami was our favorite but the bbq chicken was still super good. My boyfriend also wanted to try the spicy rigatoni pasta and he liked it. The flavor was really good but the sauce was pretty liquidy rather than creamy and thicker like we expected. This restaurant has been the backdrop for so many special memories--family dinners, celebrations, and even the meal where I shared with my family that I was pregnant. Because of that, it has always held a special place in my heart. That's why this last visit was so disappointing. The menu has been completely changed, and it honestly feels like half of what it used to be. So many of our favorite items are gone, including the salad I always ordered and the chicken sandwich. Even the bread and the incredible jam that made it so memorable have been replaced. I was so surprised that I asked our waitress if I had accidentally come during brunch or if there was a different menu, and she told me they had changed the entire menu the night before. Unfortunately, the service didn't make up for it. I don't know if it was our waitress's first day, but she wasn't able to answer most of the questions I had about the new menu. On top of that, the pizza I ordered came out incorrectly. I understand that restaurants evolve and update their menus, but this felt like losing so much of what made this place special. It no longer had the charm or experience that kept my family coming back over the years. I truly hope they consider bringing back some of their signature dishes and the little touches that made this restaurant feel unique. My parents and I were in the area and saw that they had happy hour and decided to give it a try. I've dined at Pie Tap before in Lower Greenville but this was my first time at this location. The interior is pretty cool, very industrial looking. There's also a nice little patio seating room with a tree that we saw but didn't dine in that area. Service was great and quick during our visit. It was my mom's birthday and she was in the mood for Italian. I had heard good things about Pie Tap so Pie Tap it was! We came in on a cold Monday night. We parked at street parking across the restaurant without issue. Inside, we were promptly seated. The inside is nice and dim with an open kitchen. We started the night off with the Fondue. The rosemary buffs were delicious and the perfect vehicle for the two different dips - goat cheese fondue and pecan pepper jam. I really enjoyed the goat cheese. It was nice and hearty, pairing very well with the bread. The pepper jam added a sweet touch but I'm more a savory person so I was more than content with the cheese itself. My mom got the papparadelle and bolognese while I got the sausage pizza. The papparadelle was nice and al dente. It paired well with the bolognese sauce. However, I felt it was warm when it came out so it got cold quickly. The sausage pizza was delicious! The star of the pie were easily the carmelized onions - added such a perfect level of sweetness that it really elevated the whole dish. The crust also went well with the cheese from the fondue. At this point in the evening, we were feeling pretty full. Nonetheless, our waiter, Seamus, knew it was my mom's birthday. With that in mind, he treated us to the donuts. They came with chocolate sauce and strawberry jam. Both were good. I personally preferred the chocolate since that's what I usually lean more towards. We thought it was such a nice gesture. The night was that much more special because of Seamus. Overall, althrough everything wasn't perfect (not that it should have been), the work and effort was clearly there. The decor inside is beautiful, with a cozy vibe, and there's a charming little outdoor area featuring an awesome tree that adds so much character. Our server, Quinn, was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive, checking in just the right amount without ever being too much. We both went with the lunch special -- 1/2 pie and a salad for just $12 (such a great deal!). Since we were celebrating, we treated ourselves to a couple of adult beverages. She had the Smoked Old Fashioned, and I went for the Espresso Martini -- both were excellent. Stopped by for lunch on Labor Day because they were having happy hour all day! The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating and bright open atmosphere! Sat at the bar and Service was wonderful! The food was so delicious! We had the honey chicken sandwich and the smash burger. The chicken sandwich had a great balance of flavor and the sourdough bread was so tasty! The burger was amazing! The flavor on that burger was spot on and the jalapeños gave it a great kick! We looked around and no one else has food meanwhile to go orders were being filled. The staff was apologetic and professional so can't ask for more than that. We ended up asking for the check so we could leave without our dinner. Got the check and they charged $26 for a glass of wine but we had ordered a glass of the house wine. I ask for my order, saw the girl mention something to the Chef watch to make my style of pizza and put it in the oven. 15 minutes later, they took the pizza out and a server walked over, picked it up and took a to a table. I'm sure it was my order, when I complain the manager said that wasn't the order that wasn't my order. However, the cook had basically caught up to the Orders and wasn't really making any more pizzas at that moment. When I walked out of the restaurant after 50 minutes, they still did not have my meat lovers style of pizza cooking in the oven. They do make a good pizza, they just have crappy customer service. Unfortunately, our first experience did not leave a noticeable impression since we both prefer thick pizzas (theirs are ultra skinny) and the carbonara did not taste like other carbonara. Sauce was watery instead of creamy, and I didn't care for the poach egg. On the contrary, my boyfriend tasted my pasta and loved it; so much so that we decided to come back a few weeks later and he ordered the carbonara while I tried to go for the sandwiches. Pie Tap is a really cool pizza and beer place on Magnolia in the Near Southside neighborhood. They have pasta and other things besides pizza, but i highly recommend the pizzas. They have a really good crust; they do a 3 day natural fermentation process and it's different from the others. The service is good and the wait isn't bad either. Went to Magnolio (Fort Worth) on 6/24/26 for a late lunch my wife wanted the 1/2 salad and 1/2 pie they said no due to it was not on the dinner menu just lunch and it was about 3:30 in the afternoon so we were also waiting for our drinks which were taking forever so we decided to walk out. By the time we got to our vehicle we were approached by one of the managers and told us to come back and they would make it better, so we did. She got her salad and we got the first round of drinks. Now this is what happened next, we waited for the rest of our order to be served and waited till our drinks were empty, still waiting now we put our empty glasses to the end of the table (Hint Hint) the server just kept walking by and not even paying any attention to us and the managers were just standing around the pizza area talking. I finally asked who was in charge and he came to our table and I said we are done with this, and I will pay for what we got. He said it was on the house and that was it. Never got the rest of our food that we were waiting forever for and never asked about a fresh round of drinks. The service was totally unprofessional, and we will never go back there again. We were regulars there and totally enjoyed the food but have notice a lot of turnovers as far as servers. and that particular server had only been there a month, and I don't believe she was trained very well. Wow! This place has it all! We sat at the pizza bar where you could see in to the kitchen. The staff gave my 3 year old her own pizza board and dough to play with while we looked over the menu. This is GENIUS and a million times better than any boring crayons. We ordered the salami pie, a side salad, of course the chocolate cake. Every bite was delicious! An added bonus that happy hour is 3-6 Monday-Friday. The place is upscale casual and very family friendly. We lucked out, but I would recommend making a reservation. read more

This is the perfect place if you are lactose intolerant. Our pepperoni pizza had very little cheese on it, so we sent it back asking for more cheese. Im not sure they added any more, maybe five or six shreds? Even after we sent it back the cheese did not cover 65% of the sauce.
