It was late! Husband and I were tried and hungry when we spotted Slice City Pizza. This place is small, cozy and so deliciously great. They sell pizza by the slice and whole pizzas. They are also BYOB! You can bring in wine or liquor. You can bring your own glasses or they lend you glasses, what a cool place. The people that work here are so nice. The food is delicious, the people are very nice and welcoming. It's BYOB without a cork fee!! The wife and I went to NYC and went on a marathon of pizza eating. Breakfast lunch and dinner. Our goal was to try as many pizza joints bc we love NY style pizza. Our favorite slice was from Joe's on Bleeker. The very closest we have found to Joe's has been Slice City. Tony is awesome and very personable. Pepperoni and Cheese are our favorite! So! I was totally bummed when Slice City moved from the original location close to my house cause this pizza is totally legit and not too many places do slices! This is my second visit to the new location and I'm happy to say it's the same excellent friendly service and and delicious NY style pizza, today I had the slice,salad and drink lunch special which runs $9.20 very reasonable. The Pin Wheels are exceptional. A must purchase. Good crust and ample toppings (but not so much the crust's edge). I give it 5 stars because this is in Fort Worth and reasonably priced. But this is not on par with Joes on Bleeker Street. But still very good. And worth a visit. BYOB makes it nice too. read more

I can't say enough great things about Slice City. My husband and I absolutely love their pizza. Everything is made with fresh, quality ingredients. They offer pizza by the slice as well as whole pies. They have a great special that's 2 slices and a drink, for around $10. Service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly. They have a few large booths and one large table, so seating is limited. It is always clean. We recently discovered they have homemade ranch and it is delicious. We eat here at least twice a month. Stopped by Slice City Pizza while we were dropping off my mother in law for a doctor's appointment. When you arrive there is plenty of parking in front of the building. There is seating inside just in case this restaurant gives the appearance of a to go only spot. Additionally, there are lunch specials that we were able to take advantage of when we stopped by. I believe the special I ordered was 2 slices of pizza and a drink which was okay. The price point was good and it was a nice restaurant inside. The pizza had good flavor but just needed to be heated up more. The pizza was put into the oven after we ordered and unfortunately arrived cold. If I'm in the area and looking for a quick bite I may be back but will keep an eye on the heating of the pizza next time. read more

Not a fan. First time we ordered from them we enjoyed it so we came back. I'm originally from the Northeast and this is NOT NYC pizza. Ordered both regular meat lovers, gluten free veggie and Greek salad. We should have returned it but had a long day and pressed on. Got it home / heated it up and both pizzas were pretty bland. The metal lovers had a funny taste. The lettuce (in the Greek salad) was starting to turn, mainly all lettuce and it got tossed in the trash. Very disappointing! read more

So I've been to this location when they were near Central Market off hwy 30. They moved and I just happened to want pizza and saw the location. This establishment is Albanian and Italians aren't the only ones that make great pizza. While I had my food for takeout, I am definitely looking forward to coming back and dine in. Service is top notch! This joint reminds me of getting pizza in New York. They have lots of neat pictures and decor. DH and I got slices. We only buy cheese pizza and theirs is outstanding. It also reheats better than any other pizza so we buy an extra large for meals the few days. We checked this place out because it had rave reviews. A Wednesday afternoon must not have been when the reviewers checked this place out. For starters, I'm never a fan of flies in a restaurant. Ugh. The pizza by the slice looked as if it had been there since Saturday night. It tasted like it had been also. Even sitting under the warmer, and then tossed into the over, the cheese was thick and cold. There was no real flavor in the sauce, and it was pretty watery. The wait staff really didn't seem to care if we were there or not. After reading the reviews, this must be a locals place where every knows each other, because the 5 star ratings have very little to do with the pizza... maybe it's the "super secret reverse osmosis magic water imported from NYC by 3 members of the witness protection agency, who were former mob bosses" etc. or whatever the line is. I've been to NYC dozens of times, and this is NOT NYC reminiscent at all. My husband and I's first time trying this place as we recently moved to the area, so eager to try out the local spots. Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted by the owner and staff. We told him the name we were picking up for, and the owner told us, oh, we upgraded your pizza to an extra large with all the extra toppings you ordered. So nice. And then, he told us, "would yall like a beer or any soft drink?" Crazy right? Like so nice..We were so grateful, told him it was our first time trying it, and he told us, "Of course! I want yall to come back here!" We were so astonished by the customer service and the pizza, my husband literally called him to thank him for one of the best pizzas we've ever had, and how wonderful the customer service was. And the pizza.... um SO incredible..... one of the best I've ever had seriously! I've never had take out pizza to that caliber! The ingredients were so premium! I'm a pizza snob. I like trying different styles and flavor combinations on top of a pizza. But for some good old-school pizza, this is the place to go. I've never been to a New York Pizza restaurant, but this is what I imagined what it would be like. The guys were so nice and courteous. We got the Margherita pizza, and I hate tomatoes on pizza. (Well, I hate tomatoes in general, but that's beside the point.) But the tomatoes were delicious, perfect size, good amount of basil, and not overpowering. It was nice and quiet when we got there, but then the high school across the street let out for lunch, so it got busy fast. Now, while we were there, the high schoolers were not loud and obnoxious. We did leave shortly after only because we were almost done, so I don't know if it got louder. But I remember the guy at the register telling us to have a good day as we were leaving, which meant something to me since he had 5 teenagers in line for food, giving back change, passing out drink cups, and all that jazz. I was craving pizza tonight. After reading reviews about this joint, I decided to give it a try. When I walked in, I noticed several locals enjoying their food and interacting with the staff.
