their pizzas are nice! I've also had two salads and their lasagna that is only available for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, and I regret waiting all week just for that. the lasagna is very heavy on the béchamel and it's bland. I've had better at Olive Garden to be frank. and I've had better store bought bottled ceasar dressings, also. extremely disappointed since I waiting over an hour for such flavorless food to be delivered to me. read more

Five star rating doesn't necessarily mean that things went perfect but how things are handled when they don't go so right. First, the pizza and mozzarella sticks were excellent. The service was good and there was a thorough explanation of the menu and off menu items. The specialty pizza included generous portions of parm, zucchini, bacon .... it was excellent. Unfortunately, my daughters pizza was delayed. A couple of mistakes were made. Their first pie had a mistake and the second one also had an error. They did not make excuses but owned the delay and still got the pizza out pretty quick. The manager came out explained and apologized. The special was so good we ordered one to take home. The manager brought the final bill and explained that he comped the take home pizza. We did not ask for a complimentary pizza and we did not act upset with the delay. He felt it was important because this was our first time to the restaurant and they pride themselves on getting it right. Quality food and customer service is important to us and they got it right. I was impressed by the experience and how the staff handled things when they don't go according to plan. Thanks for the service and great attitude. We will return. read more

Not sure what the fuss is all about. The pizza to me had no flavor. I wasn't impressed for the over pizza.

The food was fantastic!! Service was not. but we will try the other locations close to us.

Waited over 45 minutes for a pickup order on a Friday evening. Was quoted max 30 minutes online. Also, do not order the tiramisu here. It's dry and flavorless. They did not put any coffee or marscapone cheese in the recipe. It was dry vanilla like cake and a cheap icing that tasted like old, cheap oil. read more

I ordered directly from the store and have never knowingly used door dash and your team never told me DD would be the delivery service because I know how bad things arrive with third party delivery services. My wife and I ate at Cane Rosso this evening and it was a five star experience. Our waiter, Harold went out of his way to provide excellent service and the food was flawless as per usual. I am half Italian and from Boston and so I am very fussy about Italian food in general. I have been to Italy 5 times and Cane Rosso really serves up the real deal! My wife had the fusilli pasta in a vodka sauce with bread crumbs which was a unique twist that was delicious. We had the focaccia bread appetizer and a delicious salad to go along with a spicy sopressata pizza that I had. Everything was top shelf and the exemplary service was worth the long drive for us. We Will be back again soon. The restaurant itself has decent ambiance with fun decor. Well worth the trip! read more

Amazingly, my husband and I discovered Cane Rosso precisely one week after I spent a few days in Milan, Italy and had Neapolitan pizza there. We are also from New York so we generally avoid Texas pizza because we don't want to be disappointed. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting to be "wowed" by a Texas-based Neapolitan pizza establishment in the suburbs. But, my expectations were FAR exceeded. My husband and I ended up returning the next day, and then ordering delivery the day after that . In just three meals we sampled a hefty portion of the menu, and have no regrets about that. For pizza, we tried the Regina Margherita and the Cane Rosso pizzas. Overall, the pizzas are incredible and comparable to what you'd find in Italy. They are about 14" in diameter and just about the right size for one person (or two people to share two ). The crust around the edges is perfectly chewy yet crispy and charred. When at the restaurant, the pizzas cook in 90 seconds and are served within minutes of your order. You can't beat that level or service! We chose the Regina Margherita pizza for the San Marzano tomato sauce and the addition of the imported mozzarella di bufala cheese. If you have ever had mozzarella di bufala, you know this is a must have whenever available. That pizza was just incredible. We also tried the Cane Rosso which contains sausage, peppers, and onions, and that was also solid. We were also lucky to be able to enjoy the meatball appetizer and the meatball sub (remember, this is over the course of 3 days between two hungry people ). The meatballs are divine! They come with a perfectly toasted and oiled crostini and are served in a San Marzano tomato sauce. The same tasty meatballs appeared in the meatball sub, which was more of a calzone than a hoagie. The bread was actually made from the same dough as the pizzas. The lasagna is available on Friday and Saturday nights. You should absolutely get there early on a Friday or Saturday night and order this. It is enormous though so you might want to make sure you have a sharing partner. But that was the best tasting lasagna I've ever had. Just, wow. And finally, we got to try to Ladybird dessert. Now, this is most definitely not an Italian dessert. But I would say that this is the best blend of Italian and American food that I have ever experienced! The dessert is a full Neopolitan style pizza dough with sweet sauces on top. I think the Ladybird had Nutella, sweet syrup, Speculoos syrup, and speculoos cookie crumbs. It was warm and tasty and everything you could possibly desire in a dessert. It was also very shareable. I don't think that dessert is good for one person. Obviously, we will be back. I only sparingly give out 5 star reviews, and Cane Rosso truly deserves it. I don't see any area for improvement for this pizza establishment. What a treat! read more

Amazingggggg! My second visit to a cane Rosso ! I don't live in the area but make a point to stop when i visit Dallas! This location was great , nice outdoor patio, friendly staff. The service was really bad. We waited 40 minutes for an appetizer and an hour for salads. We mentioned this to one of the wait staff because our server wasn't ya here to be found. Then when our pizzas came out one of the pizzas didn't come out with it (there were four of us). There were two tables seated next to us and they got their apps and pizza before we did and they were sat after we got there. I'm not sure if it was a timing issue or if the server forgot to our our order in or what. When the fourth pizza came out, it was delivered fifteen minutes after the rest of the table had received their order. At that point my friend boxed it up. The manager came over and apologized and comped our appetizer and offered us a card for 1/2 off our next pizza. This was my very first visit to Cane Rosso and I had heard people rave about how good the food was. While the food was tasty, the service lent to a bad experience. read more

This was an overall pretty good experience. I'd say stick to what they're known for...pizza. Even the appetizers are a hard pass in my opinion. We ordered the meatballs and found the sauce terribly acidic and the meatballs themselves were quite under seasoned. The lasan'za pizza however, was soooo good. The fontina cream was the perfect compliment to the dollops of bolognese and basil. I would definitely order it again. I would come here again, but as I said I opt for pizza only. Maybe a salad. The service was very friendly and attentive. read more

My favorite pizza joint. Great staff, dog friendly, and always an enjoyable experience.

I heard about this place for while but never got a chance to go until I got to pick a place for lunch in downtown Carrollton :) it was 3 of us and we knew we wanted to order the honey bastard (off the menu) but we weren't sure what else would be a good partner. we asked the server and they recommended the betty because the honey bastard has a bit of a spicy flavor so the betty would even out. it wasn't a bad choice, but it wasn't our favorite either. hopefully I'll come back and try something else next time. but the honey bastard was amazing and I recommend everyone to get this! I also loved that they have a public parking lot right across from this place. read more

I went to Italy last year and had some of the best pizza in my life. So glad to stumble upon a proper Italian restaurant in the states! Their pizza closely resembles to what I had in Italy. Please keep in mind American pizza is VERY different from authentic Italian pizza. Italians keep their toppings simple and fresh. That being said, I really love Cane Rosso margarita pizza! I'm def going to be a regular from now on read more

Cane Rosso has been heralded as the best pizza in DFW so the anticipation has been real. I've lived in Dallas for 20+ years and still hadn't tasted the "best pizza"? That wasn't gonna fly. We called ahead to see how long the wait was going to be at this Neapolitan style pizza joint if we were to dine-in and was told the entire place was packed. Starving and not wanting to wait, we opted for takeout but upon arriving we found an empty table on the patio so we took our to-go order and ate there. We didn't expect any service but one of the servers was really accommodating to us and overall really cool. My friend and I opted for the "Honey Bastard" (off the menu yet it's the most popular pie) and the "Emma". What was disappointing was we picked up our pizza within 10 minutes of ordering and it wasn't hot. The "Honey Bastard" was slightly warm and the "Emma" was room temperature. The menu also said every pizza comes with olive oil and basil. Both our pizzas had like 2 pieces of basil on them each...definitely expected more basil... The "Honey Bastard" (mozzarella, hot soppressata, bacon marmalade and habanero-infused honey) is a little overwhelming at first if you've never had it before because of the sweetness of the habanero honey but after two bites I acquired the taste for it and learned to appreciate it's complexity. It's a mixture of sweet, spicy and salty. The medley of different flavors all complimented each other really well. I would come back to Cane Rosso for it. The crust was also so soft and fluffy. The "Emma" (sausage, mushrooms, mozzarella, san marzanos, basil) was just okay. Solid 3/5. I was expecting more flavor. Sure, the ingredients were all fresh but the sausage was a bit lackluster. Mushrooms were divine, though. Wish we had more basil with this pie to amp up the flavor. read more

Excellent food, excellent service. I've been here sporadically since moving to Carrollton but my husband and I are coming more often because my husband said the spaghetti and meatballs is the best there is (outside his moms ha). I've tried many of the pizzas and they're all great - the Roni one is probably my favorite. Some day I'll save room to try the dessert pizza. read more

I wish i could leave a higher review than just 5 stars. I wanted to start off by saying i have not been to this restaurant in awhile, tonight my husband & I decided to check back in, the food was amazing. One thing that makes an amazing experience was Tracy the manager, she checked in to see how we were doing and didn't hesitate to make us feel like top priority so a sweet woman we loved her, the waitress was awesome as well. This will definitely be a go to now that my husband and friends will frequent and recommend! ( Their pizza is unbeatable) read more

Noms!! Honey bastard pizza is such a sweet & savory deliousness!! I just wish it was a bit thicker because this is more like a fork & knife kinda pizza but the crust is very tasty! I truly love this place. It needs to be more on the radar. I love the set up on the place first off! They are tucked in the back of the lot so you may have to drive into the center to find it. There is an outside patio area which has a fire pit and bar which is pretty cool. The dining area and a bar area big enough to even host a party. We had a birthday party here and they where able to get about 12 of us in. The staff was super on top of it with drinks and food came out blazing hot! Loved our bartender as well. In addition they have a great lunch menu that has pizza, salads, ect for just a few bucks. Man I'm telling you if you haven't been here, its a must! read more

This is one of the better places to have pizza in Carrollton if not the best, I'm always on a pizza quest. I have tried many things from the menu but my new favorites come frome somewhere else. The off the menu items are were it's at, in the form of the Honey Bastard and the Honey Bitch. Must try pizzas! I've had great meals right from the menu though for the less adventurous types. The salads and sandwiches are great options also. Travis read more

This place was rocking last Friday night. We waited for 20 plus minutes to get seated. The place was packed and noisy. Everybody seemed to be having a good time, too. I spoke to a patron who was regular as he was waiting to get seated, too. I asked what he liked about the place. He responded with the unique food and the casual fun time he's had here. I was excited to try the place. Our waitress was fun and colorful, too. She treated us like family from the beginning. Unfortunately, the food was not what I was expecting. The toppings on the pizza, and that is about all that they serve, were unusual and very different to what I like. My son and my wife on the other hand enjoyed them more than I did. My son and I split the Honey Bastard. It was far too sweet for me. My wife had the Cane Rosso pizza. I would have like it more if I could have the Honey Bastard soppressata on the Cane Rosso pizza. The Luscher's sausage was really not that tasty to me and I love sausages. I told my son that I wouldn't comeback. He told me we should give it a try on a different night and order something different to give it a second chance. He loves pizza so I suspect we'll give it another chance. read more

Shortly after my review, Cane Rosso very kindly reached out to me. They apologized for our disappointing experience and offered to make it up to us. It took a few months, but we were ready to give it another go. I mean, the pizza is amazing, y'all, and it super sucked not having Cane Rosso's Honey Badger and spicy Old Fashioned's in our lives. After making reservations, we were greeted at the door and welcomed by the GM. Our server, Summer, was an attentive, proactive, knowledgeable gem. The pizza, per usual, was delicious. Since our last visit, they've added some new pies, and their salad options look to be expanded. The small house salad was enough for 2, and had lots of fresh greenie greens (none of that crappy white lettuce). After dinner, we were also treated at Cow Tipping next door. As expected, it was also very, very yummy. We left downtown Carrollton fat n' happy. It was definitely a MUCH improved experience and I thank Cane Rosso for taking the time and effort to make it right. The only small drawback is that the happy hour isn't quite as happy as it used to be (no more pies at discount and and no more $5 Old Fashioneds ). That said, as long as they keep up the good work; we'll keep comin' back!! read more

The happy hour pizzas are great. The pizzas are cooked right when you order so it's super fresh and crispy. The day I went, I was in hurry because of my flight but the order was late. The manager came to my table to inform me that they are working on it asap. Even before I asked, she came and explained what happened and eventually gave me the pizzas for free (b/c it took longer). I thank her for the pizzas, but more for her kindness and great service she provided. Very good customer service! read more
