The hardest Thai massage I've ever had. Bordering on painful but I did ask for hard and didn't ask her to ease off. I was able to call 10 mins before I arrived to confirm availability. Waited in the reception area for 5 mins before someone came out. 60 mins thai/swedish combo massage (they did a free hot stone add on) with Linda was spot on! She really used various amount of pressure depending on the area, and I left feeling like I was a couple pound lighter! You could make an appt online or simply call in. Although online it said the 1 hr massage was $60, inside the parlor they had a sign with a discount promo of it being $55. They also ask that masses are tipped at least $20 per hour. Honestly very reasonable and the masseuses deserved every cent of it for all the work they put in. They offer tea/water at the end, accept both cash/credit cards and had a free parking lot with ample spaces when I went on a Wednesday morning. Excellent service close to home. You can easily make reservations over the phone like I did. They're located in studio city on the second floor of a shopping center that has its own parking lot. They're right above Spice Season, a nice Thai restaurant that has great food to go. It's a one stop shop for relaxation and an easy dinner. Anyway, when you enter it's s small seating area with candy dishes and self serve water. I opted for the combination massage plus the hot stones and CBD oil. The hallways heading to the rooms were dark & quiet, with a water feature and dim lighting. Once inside the room there were no real frills. The headrest area was nice and plush which I was happy about. I hate going to get a massage and the face rest is so stiff it give you sinus congestion, now you're sniffing the whole massage. That won't happen here. The sheets were thick and full sized. Not a barely there towel or some passed around sheet with holes. Man it's really starting to sound like I've been to some terrible places lol .. but you gotta go through the mud to find the gold. My male masseuse was very strong without hurting me. His pressure was firm and he found those knots in my back & shoulders and made them melt. If the massage had been any longer I may have fallen asleep. The walls are nice and thick so you don't hear any outside noise, no other employees shuffling about and surprisingly no noise from outside. The night I went the dispensary and photo studio in the same shopping center were blasting music and I was concerned it would disturb the peace. Not at all. They were not pushy about tipping although signs making recommendations were displayed. Since I was pleased I left a generous one. Gotta take care of those who take care of you. This may be my new regular spot especially with such good service and good food close by. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! I had the 90 min deep tissue massage (and hot stones) with Elly. She is one of the BEST masseuses that I have ever had, and I get a ton of massages and literally all over - here in the States and abroad. When you walk in they hand you a piece of paper to list the type of massage, length, intensity, hot stones, and the areas you want them to focus on & avoid. Elly got rid of so many knots and made others smaller I've never had anyone put so much effort into getting rid of my knots. I have a ton. They also have plenty of parking. I had an hour and a half full body massage here. While they did sort of concentrate on the areas I checked on their little form, they don't hit every area of your body. My neck, (scalenes), chest, glutes and front of legs were not touched at all. Doesn't everyone carry tension in their butt? Hello. Seems very unprofessional. So my upper back feels a bit better but my neck and other areas feel tight. I had Andy. For an hour and a half massage, they need to have a more holistic approach and hit your whole body. I tried Candle Spa after reading so many amazing reviews- and ooooooo it did not disappoint! It's affordable, clean, and the massage was fire!!! I called on a Saturday morning and they were able to get me in at noon. I got the 60 min deep tissue massage, added on cbd oil and hot stone, and it was only $60 (not including tip). My girl Lisa was incredible!!! You know how before you go in you fill out the sheet pointing out which areas to focus on, etc? I feel like so often those aren't even read but QUEEN LISA spent so much time tending to my problem areas. She didn't just go through the massage mindlessly, she listened to my body. I appreciated this so so much and felt the difference. My shoulders usually feel soooo tight and firm, but when I left I could actually press down on them and they felt soft. It was crazy!! Layla did an amazing job at Swedish full body massage. When I walked in the overwhelming smell of toxic fragrance. Behind a curtain I could hear a woman cursing say f you and such. I got up and asked what was going on and if everything was ok. A woman came out and explained she had gotten in an argument on the phone with her husband. Oooookay Went to the room for couples massage. I could hear the next room couples massage every word they spoke and the. A make out session and who knows if they started to get it on but wow Massage therapist was very good. The massage table was comfortable except the face part which was uncomfortable and began to be more uncomfortable at the massage went on. I think the massage therapist was great. The location, the toxic smells, the less than private areas where I could hear others making out wasn't cool and the cursing woman when I went in was def not ok. I didn't cancel because they would charge me a cancellation fee. I can say that the massage was good but everything else was not. Won't be back. If you are sensitive to toxic fragrances don't come here. Febreeze, tide, and stinky candles have neurotoxins hormone distributes and obv trigger some peoples allergies. read more

After reading and reviewing all the yelp reviews carefully, I was convinced to definitely give Candle Spa a try. So I went in around 2pm and was greeted by a woman in the front desk. Very sweet and kind. Also polite in a slow, calm voice. Since few people were talking about Pammy: one of the masseuses...so I asked for her and she came out and took me inside to one of their rooms. I am not going to get to detailed, because all the yelp reviews basically covered everything. I also felt the same way, From the beginning until the end, hands down I was satisfied. Pammy did a great job and she was very nice, friendly, and knew her work very well. The only thing that I kind of didn't like was that she could have taken her time and rub me a little slower. With feelings. And I told that to her. The pressure was fine. I asked for medium to a little hard and that is what I got. Place is quiet, beautiful, relaxing, affordable, clean,... with flowers, pictures, candles and sweet smiles along with comfortable massage beds and clean towels and sheets. Pretty much your average thai massage parlor. It's very low rent and definitely wanting on the decor and the quality of the overall furnishings. There's not any real privacy - rooms are just separated by thin plywood and curtains... Unfortunately my first service there I was put in the "room" closest to the reception area - so I heard every conversation and every money exchange. My massage therapist, James, was perfectly adequate - again it was just sort of your average tire experience. Probably won't go back just because of the overall ambience and lack of privacy which leads to a lack of complete relaxation. Thank you. read more

For over a year I've experienced super tense neck/shoulders and after 1 session with May, I feel extremely relaxed and my pain is pretty much gone! Loved. Was very skeptical bc of the pictures of the rooms online. I almost didn't make the appointment. However, there were so many positive reviews that I gave it a chance. Best decision I made Sunday evening. If u don't like deep pressure probably not the place for you. I love being beat up during a massage. Also if you're really uptight about draping probably not the place for you either. My therapist was very professional but it's Thai massage lots of stretching so sometimes the sheets come undone normal for most but if you need full coverage the entire time not for you. I am completely lose I was in great pain around the neck and shoulders and she worked that right out. Will be going back in a week. Plenty of parking in front. Please tip your therapist. read more

Holy cow, the reviews didnt lie. Andy is a master at his craft. I get massaged every 3 weeks for the past 5 years and I honestly think this was the best massage Ive ever had. They fit me in on the same day which was great, and the pricing is awesome. Andy did a mixture of thai, swedish and deep tissue on me, and he kicked butt at all of them. He knew exactly how to work out all my problem areas. I dont think I'll be satisfied going to anybody else after this!
