60 mins thai/swedish combo massage (they did a free hot stone add on) with Linda was spot on! She really used various amount of pressure depending on the area, and I left feeling like I was a couple pound lighter! You could make an appt online or simply call in. Although online it said the 1 hr massage was $60, inside the parlor they had a sign with a discount promo of it being $55. They also ask that masses are tipped at least $20 per hour. Honestly very reasonable and the masseuses deserved every cent of it for all the work they put in. They offer tea/water at the end, accept both cash/credit cards and had a free parking lot with ample spaces when I went on a Wednesday morning. My friend was massaged by Lisa, and she was very satisfied as well:)

Came here with my boyfriend for the first time to get couples massages and I personally won't be back. My masseuse was rough and now my back is extremely sore. Feels like someone has repeatedly punched me in the same area over and over. During the massage I kept telling her, that hurts, not so rough but she didn't let up. I didn't get her name but I wish I had of. read more

After going there for 3 + years with great experiences, My visit today really changed my mind about this place. This Masseur name Aileen was a nightmare 1. The masseur had a phone on the bed vibrating through out the session 2. Her nails were pinching me while the massage 3. Really rough. Just felt like a torture program 4. She forgot the add on hot stone ($10 extra!) and when I pointed out, she did it on a pitch for 3 minutes and it was really rough. 5. She didn't do the Thai stretch at the end which is a part of combination massage. The place only offered me $5 off for this horrific experience. Really disappointed read more

I've been going to Candle spa for a while now and what I like about it is not only my therapist's technique, and his consistency, but it is clean, accommodating, punctual and overall very professional. Which is hard to find in this town. Andy is an excellent massage therapist, very intuitive. Totally recommend him and the spa overall. read more

I had a deep tissue massage here last weekend and it was great! They have special pricing for massages before 1:00pm (I think) and I was able to take advantage of that. My 60 minute massage was only $40! You really can't beat that pricing. The room was dark and the music was soothing. Loved the fountains/sound of running water. The table could be a little more padded but it wasn't uncomfortable. The masseuse who did my massage was great. Adjusted the pressure when I asked and focused on the areas I requested. I will definitely be back! P.S. Parking is in a lot and easy (AND free)- huge bonus! read more

I accidentally stopped by this place when I visited my cousin in the valley. On that day I had a really bad back pain because I lifted something heavy. I don't remember the guy who gave me a massage, All I know about him is he has strong and magic hands that could fix my back. I could hear my back cracking in the middle of a session. The best thing about it is the price is unbelievably affordable. read more

I bought a Groupon in order to try a new massage place in my area and ended up here at Candle Spa. The staff was super friendly the moment I came in. They made it easy to use my Groupon and also explained what to do before my message. I will definitely come back again and recommend them! In celebration of our 5 year wedding anniversary, my husband and I wanted to book a couples massage..and I'm SO GLAD we did! It was absolutely wonderful. The establishment was simple, clean and the staff were very polite. We were quickly attended to as soon as we arrived Mae & Jane did a terrific job, they were both very kind and professional. I have 2 small children and my back usually kills me at the end of the day. My husband is confined to an office chair for long hours so he usually feels the same aches and pains. Candle Spa is one of the few places we know we can get a consistently good massage. We have been there many many times and never really were disappointed with any masseuse, but in particular received wonderful massages from Amy, Lila and Irene. The tables are warmed and it always seems clean and fairly quiet. We make sure to tip $30 or so for an hour massage. The work they do is physically demanding and they deserve it. read more

My back feels SO MUCH BETTER. Great location too. I've been to many different massage facilities but this particular one is a great Plan B if one cannot afford or 'prefers' not to afford a chiropractor. After years of walking/standing on those hard department store floors, during my years at the cosmetic counter, Candle Spa has quickly become my "go to place", (out of all the others I've been to). Im now in year #5 of coming here. Thank you so much, Amy, for leaving the hot stones all over my back today, while you worked on the rest of me. AAAAAHHHHH!!! P.S. when filling out the card of upon arrival, I've learned that writing clearly and in large words makes it easier on them to read your instructions as they work on you in the low lighted room. I have been here twice so far. Good massages both times (once with hot stones), strong hands. They seem to run a lot of good specials (be sure and tip your massage therapist as if it were full price!) Good addition to the neighborhood, and I will be back. read more

Did a couples massage with my wife here and we both left feeling impressed and relaxed. The massueses here are wonderful. The gentleman at t the front desk is very welcoming. The place is clean and a very relaxing vibe as you wait in the waiting room for them to prepare. We opted for the hot stones and cbd oil and it was a great experience. I have had over 100 massages in my life and I can tell you Andy is by far the best I have ever had. He is strong, competent, and he is a true healer. I have known him for five years and he really is the only massage therapist who truly helps me. I drive all the way from Long Beach to Studio City just so I can get massage from him. His technique is flawless and his ability to cure your pain is unmatched. I have herniated discs in my lower back and after every session, Andy has restored my ability to stand and walk without pain. I got a deep tissue with Andy, I usually get a massage twice a month at pricier places but this was by far the best deep tissue I've had in at least the last 7 years. I've been searching for a while, finally I found my favorite place in this area! Nice and clean spa and I was told it's under new management. I got a couple massages here so far. June was my favorite. I felt like she could read my mind she knew where my knots were and focused on my problem areas like I asked. Too bad she's only here on Monday. But last time I got a massage with Neon and she is really good too! Most recommended place in Studio City ^^ read more

Candle Spa is a great massage spa. I've gone four times now. Scheduling a massage is easy, staff is friendly, the place is clean and well appointed. There's also plenty of parking which is a plus in Los Angeles. My go to guy at Candle is Andy. Great therapist, intuitive, with an amazing technique. He's also just the nicest person. By far the best massage I've had in the area. Andy was able to work out a significant amount of tension in my back deriving from a car accident and some overuse injuries. I've tried almost a dozen different massage therapists of varying specialties, and never had a masseur as detailed that could work through the tightness in my shoulders. He's a genuinely talented therapist. I'll definitely be revisiting Candle Spa. read more

We found Candle Spa on yelp and thanks to the ratings we decided to go. I'm so glad we did. We had a 60 minute couples massage and it was outstanding ($90 total/$45 each). I had Andy and my husband had June. It was so good next time we'll do the 90min. The facility was clean and the massage was wonderful. I did Swedish and my husband did Thai. I have been to this place twice- once pre-Covid and once more recently. They have renovated in the last year and it feels nicer than my last visit. It was a good deep massage. My only complaint is that the masseuse moved really fast, like she was racing to get through a routine. The speed of movement took away from the experience a bit but it still got the job done and I felt great after. I only mention it because my husband also felt the same about his with a different masseuse. read more

I've lived and travelled around the world and Andy's massage is by far amongst the best I've experienced. He does an incredible deep tissue firm massage. Very intuitive and professional. Appointments are easy to book online, and you can usually get in that day or the next. I often splurge for the 90-minute combo massage with hot stones and CBD oil. The best. This was hands down one of the best massages I've ever had. Patty was my masseuse and she was amazing. I got the combination Thai and Swedish massage with the CBD oil and hot stones and it was amazing. Between my anxiety and stress in addition to the the muscle pains I had from working out. I have spoken to Fantoo (spelling might be wrong) and each time I called back I was told she has given me the wrong information. Even the expiration date of my last session was off by few days when I called and checked with a different person. Also, when you purchase specials, the expiration date is very short and it's not very clear. So I bought some specials and they all expired and they never wanted to give you a courtesy credit. I am not sure I'll be returning cause I can't gamble on each session being good or bad and especially the front desk needs to be fully trained and make sure they don't give inconsistent information.

BODA stayed true to a deep tissue massage, while also incorporating Thai, Swedish, shiatsu, and even sports massage techniques. She stretched my neck and back in ways that gave me a release I've never had from massage. Her vibe was calm, and sweet, and the overall place was nice. It really is a secret hole in the wall spot. I won't go anywhere else for a massage after this honestly. For the first time in 15 years I woke up in the morning without shoulder and neck pain. Very professional, and I felt very comfortable. The massage was 60 minutes for $70 which wasn't bad but with the tip it can add up. The facility looks clean including the bathroom and the room we were in was nice and clean but I wish it had more of a scent like other massage places have. I like the smell of lavender when I go inside. The massage itself was a combo that I got including Swedish and Thai. It was a really good balance of stretch and relaxation with tiger balm. The lady was nice and her pressure was just right. Parking is limited to street parking and a few spots in the back.

I have been a regular at Candle Spa for a few years now, and until a recent visit, I had always experienced excellent service. However, during my last appointment, there was confusion about the services I had booked and the timing, which was frustrating. Despite providing clear notes through their website, the staff was not helpful in resolving the issue at the time. Additionally, the massage therapist did not focus on the areas I had requested and caused discomfort in other areas. After leaving a review, the business owner contacted me to apologize and take responsibility for the situation, which I do appreciate. While my experience on that day was not ideal and the staff present during the appointment did not try to correct the issue, the owner's efforts to make things right have left me with a more positive impression. I absolutely agree with the general rave reviews of candle spa and its star Andy! I'd also add Oliver to the list and state that either one or both is a MUST! Yes, deep, strong, professional and consistent massages, but mostly the overall mindfulness and consideration these guys provide - well, just doesn't compare to anywhere else! As a professional who sits all day everyday, it is always a huge relief from the work stress of being present with others and a real release of the week's obligation to hold onto the emotional pain of others! I know I can accept and receive authentic care with Andy or Oliver or both! I'm a customer for life! read more

I have now patronized Candle Spa 2 times and both visits were positive. It was an easy trek from Weho, just over the hill. I was reintroduced to Andy who I use to see at his day spa in Hollywood before it closed. And this place has a parking lot so parking was easy. On my 2nd visit, Andy was not available so I was attended to by Oliver. It was obvious both guys are professionally trained therapist who enjoy their work and it doesn't hurt that they are both sweet and pleasing to the eye. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I cannot afford to go there more often. read more

Was driving by the area and decided to check out on yelp, the reviews were good so I decided to give it a try. Great decision. The rates are affordable and the massage skills are amazing. I had Andy assigned to me and his massage work is top notch. I told him my shoulders and calf has knots and he went to work, slowly working out each knot. He provided a very relaxing massage but Definitely therapeutic by working out knots and did a good amount of stretching to correct my posture. I would highly recommend this place and ask for Andy. read more

I highly recommend Candle Spa if you're looking for a great massage. Ask for Andy. He's the best. I explained a recent injury and he took great care to focus on that (as well as the rest of me) and I already feel better. I don't know how he does it, but he can sense where the tension in my muscles is. He focuses on the knots and gets 'em out. He pays attention and is a good guy. The location is convenient whether you're in the valley or the city and there's free parking. Friendly receptionist, too. read more

Great massage by Andy!!! This guy has been consistent in providing a truly therapeutic and relaxing massage for years... name it, back pain, shoulders lower extremities, he got you covered. He would even get in touch the next day to check if desired result is obtained...that is the reason i always follow him everywhere he works at. What a wonderful spa and the best services. I stopped by Candle spa for a massage. Andy, my massage therapist gave me a warm welcome. I had Thai massage which relaxed me from stressful at work. It was exactly nice. Andy was very skillful and the place was with good environment and decoration. great service all around, from front desk to the therapist that worked on me. Im quite sensitive and she knew exactly where and how to put pressure without me being uncomfortable or in pain.
