I've been here before (a while ago) and hoped things had improved--but they haven't. The massage was excellent, but the checkout experience ruined it. I paid $120 for 90 minutes and tipped $20 (~17%), a fair, generous gratuity. Despite that, I was asked for "just $5 more." There's also a posted "suggested tip" of $30 for 90 minutes--25%, well above industry norms. And for perspective: $30 on a 60-minute session ( $80 service based on their 90-min rate) would be ~37.5%. Tipping should be voluntary, not forced. Don't shake down clients after a relaxing session. Good bodywork; entitled, aggressive tipping expectations killed the vibe. read more

I just got back from the best massage I ever had in my life! Summer was fantastic and I plan to become a regular of hers! Just please do me a favor and don't hog up her calendar! read more

Massage not met to standards. Circled combo for both and didn't received what was requested.

Massage was very very good. I want to give five stars. The sad thing was that the massage therapist demanded 30% gratuity after I put 20% gratuity. People shouldn't demand gratuity and I'm not the only one who has the same concern according to the previous reviews.. 20% is generous enough. Also I was asked to pay cash and the person didn't want to issue me a receipt. . I put 30% after the therapist demanded it but it's very distasteful and insulting to be asked for more gratuity, they should not suggest own gratuity. it made me very uncomfortable after such a nice massage. Left a very bad taste in my mouth and I wont be going back. read more

I wanted to share my experience with this salon. I want to mention that this wasn't my first time getting a massage there, and everything had been fine before. However, this time was simply awful. First of all, the girl had cold hands, and even after an entire hour, her hands didn't warm up because she was only doing a light massage, despite my request for a deep tissue massage. Midway through the session, I asked her to switch me to another therapist because I wasn't satisfied. She said everyone else was busy and continued the massage. Toward the end, she finally started applying slightly more pressure, but she was so unprofessional that now my skin hurts. I tried reaching out to the owner for two days, but they never responded. Terrible service! I do not recommend this place. read more

Was desperate for a massage after a long weekend. Found this place online last minute, seemed close to home so I thought I'd give it a try. It was 70 for an hour. They have a sign with recommended tip amount. For a one star service 20 three star 25 and 30 for a good service. Tip should be a reflection of the service per percentage of the cost. The massage a decent not bad not amazing. I did advise the masseuse that I recently broke a toe that is healing so if she could not touch them at all. She accidentally got pretty close which I reminded her and she apologized. when wiping of the oil she forgot again and squeezed while rubbing pretty hard causing a Lot of pain on my toe. After me reaction she apologized again saying she forgot again. Overall decent massage with decent price. Tip again should be per service if the employees need more they should increase the cost of the massage to pay them appropriately. read more

I've gotten 20 over the course of my life. Before going to Aroma with my wife a month ago for a couples massage I didn't like massages at all. I had a wonderful experience for the first time. The staff is friendly and funny. Coming into a happy place is really nice. I read reviews here about people complaining it was too loud. Wear ear plugs If the sound of joy bothers you. Those reviews bother me. If other cultures are so awkward that you can't laugh and relax, don't be cheap and go to Burke Williams. I have been back at least 8 times in a month. These are professionals and they are delightful. Tina is my fave and hearing how happy she is to work there was great. Thomas Hayes read more

Aroma Thai Massage might be new on the Boulevard, but the licensed massage therapists inside are experienced. The space is quiet and this business has its own free parking in the lot behind the building. My masseuse kneaded my shoulder pain away and I can't wait to go back. read more

Sunny was great, I went in on a Sunday and i chose to get 2 hours of deep tissue massage and some tension in my right leg worked on, Sunny took very good care of my issue and all with a big smile and super professional. I had been to this place before and I am so impressed with the people here that I am writing another review. Keep up the great work!!!! read more

Great experience will definitely go back the next time I am in town. Very clean, very caring, listened to what I was looking for read more

I love this place. It's so hard to find a good massage parlor that isn't just basically you laying down and being lubricated. Summer is the absolute best. She used her actual FINGERS instead of the constant rubbing you with their forearms/elbows every other place does. I definitely always look forward to coming here read more

Enjoyed my massage! Good service, clean and was able to book quickly. I would recommend!

Just a simple update on a cooler Winter rainy late afternoon. I kind of wanted to stay home with the weather assuming that it's going to be cold inside Patchara. Instead I called Patchara and made a reservation. When I arrived one of the therapist escorted me to the room. When I undress and sat on the massage table it was warm and ready for me! They have electric warming mattresses. Ohhh so nice !!!!!!!! Thanks Patchara read more

Aroma Thai Massage was a nice discovery for me on Ventura Blvd. on the Sherman Oaks/Studio City border. They offer a combination of Thai, Swedish and deep tissue massage in a serene and calm space. They have single rooms or double rooms which gives couples an opportunity to get their massage together. The lady that gave me my massage was surprisingly strong for her size, almost to the point of being painful. However, some of that was due to my tightness and her trying to work out those knots. Her combination was primarily Thai, which was what I needed and for the cost of $65 for the hour, I think it was great value. The location is on a quiet stretch of Ventura Blvd, next to the BBQ world and a poke place. There's plenty of street parking, which unfortunately is paid until 8pm or they do offer free parking in their rear, but the entrance is only from one of the side streets as the other isn't a thru street. Overall, I had a nice massage and they offered a nice and clean space and offered enough variety for the amount of money they charged. I would definitely go back. read more

Aroma is the best spa I have been to in the valley. The massage is always excellent and the staff is very accommodating. My new spot!

Wow wow wow I love this place so convenient and the girls are incredible just happy beautiful and know what their doing

A gem in the valley. Reasonable pricing, modern decor, clean interior, and good customer service. Water is provided at the end of the massage. There is parking on the street and a small lot in the back. Ask for Nikky if you want your knots taken care of. 5/5 will be back. read more

I am very grateful to Nori for a deeply healing session today. She gave special emphasis on areas with knots and tension. I would highly recommend Nori to anyone seeking help with low energy, poor sleep and a constant feeling of uneasiness. I feel like a new person after my massage session. Thanks Nori! read more

I had a horrible experience here. My masseuse was quite rude. She did very strong pressure on me during the massage and when I expressed that it was too hard she would giggle and say that "I needed it". Unbelievable. I was cringing nearly the entire 1 hour from the pain and nearly wanted to end the massage early. When it was all done the masseuse, who's name I didn't get since she didn't introduce herself, asks for a tip. Since I felt the massage was not satisfactory I did not feel the obligation or the courtesy to tip. She seemed slighted by this and simply took the money I paid for the hour and walked away from me. No thank or Goodnight. This female masseuse was so awful and rude I would not give this place a second chance whatsoever. Your money will be better spent elsewhere. Stay away from this so called "Spa". read more

I had an appointment and they called 5 minuets before my appointment time and canceled without reason

Went in for a couples massage and both of our masseuses were fantastic. The price was very reasonable and the shop was clean and cute.

Padthai gives a really good massage and the price is decent and it was fairly clean.

The atmosphere is obnoxiously loud. I have been twice and it was the same experience. All therapists that aren't with customers talk, laugh, run around the spa, etc. They have zero respect for people getting massaged and trying to relax. I would avoid this place. read more

I came here yesterday to get some relaxation for my muscles. I chose 90-minutes massage to get the maximum of joyful results from the massage. But it was a huge mistake, actually it was 90 minutes of pain and weird technique in general... I wasn't able to relax at all... disappointed. read more

it was my first time to have a massage with them and it was the most horrible experience ever. at the end I left a $15 tip on a $60 charge so 25% and then they started getting mad at me and saying no you have to leave a $20 tip. it was the most ridiculous thing ever. i will never be going back here again and I would not recommend anyone else either. read more

Superb massage. Definitely have to say it can get noisy in there. The windows aren't super thick so you can hear the outside traffic and anyone that talks in other rooms because each room has no ceiling. However, the massage makes up for everything. I found a great massage therapist there and definitely plan to keep going. read more
