My wife and I visited from out of town and wanted Mexican. She ordered the beef enchiladas and I ordered the Seafood enchiladas, we ordered 2 Margaritas which were very good. Her beef enchiladas came within a few very hot and tasty, after 10 minutes, the seafood enchilada hadn't been delivered, the waiter finally came and noticed I didn't have a plate in front of me. I said my food hasn't been delivered yet, the waiter then came with my food and said either the order wasn't placed or they forgot to make it. 5 minutes later they were delivered and he apologized. I ate the first seafood enchilada only the shrimp and crab meat from the other 2. The waiter came back to check and saw that most of my food was still there, he never asked if there was anything wrong. Being that we were from out of town and have no plans to visit St. Richard's again, we obviously will not be returning. Hopefully your experience will be better. read more

I've visited St. Roberts many times and never actually stopped by any of the Mexican restaurants in town. I had the day off and decided to swing by for a late lunch. I walked in and was told to sit anywhere I wanted and after reviewing the menu asked for recommendations. I was told the pastor platter was excellent, comes with tortilla on the side and I can make my own tacos, so I went with that - I got double the rice. They serve chips and salsa to start off, the chips were good, very thin, but the salsa was ok, lacked some lemon juice and some heat. The beans were meh - it was bland, but decent, honestly speaking had better. The rice was salty, I like things bit over seasoned, but this was beyond over seasoning. I don't know if its because it was sitting in a warmer or not, but yeah, make sure you get extra water. The pastor was perfectly cooked, but like the rice, it was over seasoned. As I went after 2pm, nobody was in the restaurant, the waitress was super friendly and made you feel very welcomed. read more

This is our favorite place in St Robert for Mexican food. The bang bang tacos are spicy and so good! Not a fan of the "warrior" meat mix but otherwise everything else we have had has been good. The carne asada is so tender, chicken chimi and pastor tacos is good as well. read more

Yum! This is a small, hole-in-the wall kind of place with yummy food. I got the taco salad with chicken. A couple of notes on that...there's a white cheese sauce that I wasn't prepared for. The other note to mention is the hot, spicy, grilled chicken. It must've been a rub on the meat, but WOW-it had some kick! They were out of guacamole unfortunately. Chips and salsa were da bomb! It's a one woman show with orders, service and drinks. But she's great! The chef came out to mingle and sincerely wanted feedback. He got concerned when I mentioned spiciness. Great lunch spot centered in a lower shopping plaza. I loved their complimentary chips which had an authentic corn taste and the salsa was the right amount of chunkiness. I ordered the flautas (the starter) which was plenty with the chips. They came with melted cheese and placed on top of a bed of roasted corn. They also had a side of sour cream and tequila bbq sauce which was an odd combo but I'm sure people love it but I was not a fan. My friend had the chicken chimichanga which she loved and it was really large! She ordered double rice with no beans and a side of queso. We both agreed we would be back. Loved this place, ordered take out and the cook took my order and he was great. I ordered the California burrito which had carne asada, fries, beans and their cheese sauce. It was very good and had plenty of meat. They didn't have any tostadas on the menu, but the cook said he could make one for my wife, which I thought was really nice of him. My husband and I do our best to support local businesses rather than chain restaurants, even when we travel, so I was excited to have lunch here after reading many great reviews. Sadly, my lunch was inedible and the server never came back to ask us how we liked our food. Usually, a server will at least ask when they come to clear the table and notice the food went uneaten. Nope. So, what was the problem? My food was so salty, I could not even eat it, which was unfortunate, because I could tell it was a beautiful piece of fish and it was perfectly cooked and tender. The preparation needs some rethinking. Even the shrimp on top was too salty. Finally, the salsa was the strangest recipe I have ever tasted. It clearly had either oregano or Italian seasoning in it and tasted more like some kind of marinara sauce than a salsa. I will give them props for their chips. They were served warm and crispy and not too salty. Stick to the chain restaurants if you stop at this exit. read more

I just ate here. The food was incredible - it is honestly the best Mexican food that I can remember eating, and I eat a lot of Mexican food. I had chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The chips were light, and my father described them as "the best I've ever had". My chicken was juicy and exquisitely seasoned with a slight kick, and the cheese sauce was rich and packed with flavor. Now, I often use the rice and beans as a benchmark for the quality of a Mexican restaurant. The rice was cooked perfectly. So many other restaurants overcook their rice, giving it a flavorless and generic taste. Not here. No, the rice was moist and hung together nicely. The only bad thing, if you could call it a bad thing, is that the refried beans were not quite up to the stratospheric standard of the rest of the meal. They were good and well worth eating, but when you've had the best, "good" just isn't good enough. One point in their favor is that they are clearly homemade and not from a can. I was told that everything from the guacamole to the pico de gallo is homemade by the owner/chef, everything but the sour cream. His pedigree is from Pueblo, Mexico, so one is assured an authentic Mexican experience. Finally, I must compliment the outstanding service on the part of Marilyn. She was very nice, exceedingly personal, and remembered all of our names (and used them). When asked, she told me that she has tried everything on the menu and was very helpful in recommending chicken dishes. We left a large tip, which was fully deserved on her part. One last thing; this restaurant has a great selection of Mexican sodas made with real sugar which come in vintage glass bottles. A large Coke bottle and a smaller Dr. Pepper were what I purchased. Buy some to take home, and then keep the bottle on display when you are done. I highly recommend driving out of the way to experience a top-notch Mexican dining experience. I don't often leave reviews (food or bad) but this was seriously some of the best Mexican I've ever eaten! I was in town for a couple days for work and saw good reviews for this place and bookmarked it to try it. While driving around, though, there were other Mexican restaurants that appeared busier and flashier but I decided to still try this place. I got my food to go and it was STILL amazing!!! (Which says a lot because to go anything is almost never as good.) The employees were helpful and so nice, the food was so well priced given the large portion and flavor. Cancun Mexican Grill was one of our first dinner stops on a month long 4700 mile road trip. Dinner was great and the service outstanding. You roll into a new town and research places to eat and hope for the best. The best is what we found. You question your decision as you roll up to the strip mall the restaurant is located in but the food and service more than make up for the plain atmosphere. My wife and I had different entrees and both were excellent. If you're lucky you'll have Dharlayne as your waitress. She was very attentive and spot on on her entree suggestions. Great family run restaurant for authentic Mexican food. I have been here multiple times and each time it has been great service. They start with bringing fresh, warm tortilla chips with their house salsa; and they aren't stingy about it either- they refill your salsa as needed, even without asking. The warrior chimichanga is great (pictured). Also the fried cheesecake is a very nice way to top off your meal. They run specials every day, writing them on their board. Right now they have Monday and Tuesday 3 tacos for $2.99 (shredded chicken, ground beef, or warrior(3 meat mix)). Hard to beat that! Very fresh. Light and comfortable atmosphere, with television playing Latin music in the background, just loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud you can't have a conversation. read more

First time review, but they deserve it. This is the best Mexican food you're going to find around here. Everything I've had here has been delicious, with the pastor tacos standing out the most. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the carnitas is a little lacking. The staff is super friendly, and the food makes it out in a timely fashion. It's usually pretty quiet as well, as I don't think the trainees on fort loeonard wood know this place exists. For this area, hands down the best Mexican you're going to get. Definitely go out and try it read more
