My first time here was as a "referral" from another locations employee when I was looking for a recently released stamp. Same with every visit since. And with one exception they had what I was looking for. They are not the Buffalo philatelic PO or the main PO in town but they do seem to have the recent releases. This location has good and easy parking, however the entrance is one side and exit the other, just like the one on Hertel. Easy if you know it, but not as easy of you don't know. So be aware if it's your first visit.

It gets a shout out for a…read moresuper friendly employee yesterday who saved me over $10 when I was scrambling to mail some documents out overnight express. He remarked that the envelope I chose was $10 more than if I chose another Express envelope, which was even more sturdy than the one I have. He let me discard the envelope I chose (which I already sealed) and replace everything in a new envelope, thereby saving me over $10. This is the kind of service that shows the person behind the counter actually cares and got me to tell my friends 'bout it. Bravo USPS guy!

The main room is very tiny but they have all the stuff that you'd expect to see at a post office. The sheets of specialty stamps seem to sell out quickly since I never manage to get the neat ones. There are two parking lots - one of them is much easier to get into and out of than the other, so if you have a larger vehicle or don't like doing tight turns, go around the corner where there is more space.

The employees work as if there's no one in back of the customer,even though the line is almost to the door. Sometimes you'll get a really nice worker who really helps you out & tries to give you advice on how to send something the cheapest way,the fastest way & figure help you out totals of a package,when figuring out how much everything is worth inside the box you're shipping. Others are just rude af ,and make u reopen things,go through it,take crap out & they are just simply bastards. The guy I had today was straight out of "Woodstock" ,listening to some whacky music that does not suit a post office at all. He acted like he was on acid,or just as high as a kite. I felt uncomfortable & all I was doing was buying 2 books of stamps. Lol But,I do have to say,I love the way they have such a huge selection of stamps and all different things from shipping box sizes,to cards,labels,etc.... Such cute stuff.

I was looking forward to getting out of obscurity and this digital-less world with a shipment of a phone, but when I got home at literally 4:55pm there was a slip for a signature needed. I called the West Side post office and while it was busy until 4:57pm, I finally reached someone at 4:58pm. I told them I'm a few minutes away and they said they would hold the door for me. I sped over there and there was quite literally someone at the door with my package. Customer service doesn't get any better than that. To my credit, I did get there around 5:05 or 5:07pm so it was only a few minutes after closing time, but man -- I'm glad I don't have to go phone-less for another day. Thank you to the Westside Post Office for the excellent customer service. I definitely love you!

I've had them leave packages on the side of the road and on top of the mailbox. There has been days I expected things to be delivered , no driver would come but they would mark items as "delivery attempted" I've never met a group of people that equally hate doing their job. This is a smaller post office in the area. The last few times I've stopped in the staff was…read morefriendly, the line was short, and I was in and out. There's always parking to boot! My last visit the counter staff helped me pick out the best way to mail a letter that I wanted to know it got to its destination. She didn't sell me the most expensive delivery just to make money- she helped me with the very best option. And I appreciate that. Be aware this is a very small post office so they do not have as much merchandise or a drop box for large packages. You will have to give those directly to the staff.
