I was looking forward to getting out of obscurity and this digital-less world with a shipment of a phone, but when I got home at literally 4:55pm there was a slip for a signature needed. I called the West Side post office and while it was busy until 4:57pm, I finally reached someone at 4:58pm. I told them I'm a few minutes away and they said they would hold the door for me. I sped over there and there was quite literally someone at the door with my package. Customer service doesn't get any better than that. To my credit, I did get there around 5:05 or 5:07pm so it was only a few minutes after closing time, but man -- I'm glad I don't have to go phone-less for another day. Thank you to the Westside Post Office for the excellent customer service. I definitely love you!

My first time here was as a "referral" from another locations employee when I was looking for a recently released stamp. Same with every visit since. And with one exception they had what I was looking for. They are not the Buffalo philatelic PO or the main PO in town but they do seem to have the recent releases. This location has good and easy parking, however the entrance is one side and exit the other, just like the one on Hertel. Easy if you know it, but not as easy of you don't know. So be aware if it's your first visit.

He remarked that the envelope I chose was $10 more than if I chose another Express envelope, which was even more sturdy than the one I have. He let me discard the envelope I chose (which I already sealed) and replace everything in a new envelope, thereby saving me over $10. This is the kind of service that shows the person behind the counter actually cares and got me to tell my friends 'bout it. Bravo USPS guy!

This is one of the quieter post offices I've been to. I've never waited as long to mail out stuff here, as I have to wait at Clarence and even sometimes Akron. And don't get me started on some of the West Amherst, Cheektowaga, and city locations. I'd say it was my fave location in WNY, but one of the employees in particular (no names mentioned) occasionally has an attitude problem, so we'll stick with a 4. Not to mention, the products sold inside are infinitely more expensive than the same products at any one of many nearby stores. But I do find this location US-ful.

I did my application online and had to come her to finalize the process and have my picture taken. It was fairly easy to find. It's a little rough when you do find it it but it's not terrible. Once I was inside, I had to sign and provide my identification. I was guided to a waiting area that is comprised of folding banquet chairs. Not the most comfy setup, but I wasn't there long when I was called. The whole process was less than 10 minutes from beginning to end, and I was out of there. I definitely recommend this location. They thankfully processed everything within days of my trip.

You have to drive all the way to the end of the road, and the signs to find out where to drop your Amazon thing are super clear, but once you find the area, the entire process is very clear and easy. Usually I return my things at UPS, but this particular one didn't offer that as a choice. I don't know that I choose to come here, unless it was the only option, because it's pretty out-of-the-way for me.

That said, since I have discovered it, I don't go to any other post office location (at least not if I'm leaving from home) because this one is so convenient. Plus, it has better weekend hours than the Post Office on Bailey. You can get stamps, mail packages, and do all the things you normally would at the Post Office but without the lines that I've encountered at pretty much every other Post Office. I don't think I've ever had more than one person in front of me. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And if you need to get something from the Pharmacy while you're there, it's super convenient. Parking is easy, as is getting in and out of the lot. Yay for convenience and easy.

(Also, I still use the old fashioned "snail mail" more than most.) So today I went to this office, its listed on the usps.com website as having Buffalo's philatelic window. Usually that means they have stamps some of the others wont have. Especially "non forever" stamps, so those with postage that's not 46 cents. This one is next to the Broadway Market, so made for another easy errand run there too. It has a HUGE parking lot, which was almost empty. Got to love that. Although I'm sure on Sat its full with Broadway Market visitors. This looks like a smaller office from the outside, and it is. Two windows. It does not have full day hours, only 9-1:30 M-F and 8:30-12 Sat. The counter person who helped me was great. She was not aware her site was listed as the Philatelic one, but she did have some stamps other locations have not had. She did say she was new to that location. So this is not a PO that's super close to me, but if you are looking for someplace without long lines, easy parking, polite help, and you have a reason to be in that area, I would go here without hesitation.

Holy cr*p did I just find the holy grail of social security offices? Or is today just a freak…read moreanomaly? Came on a Monday at 2pm and there were 2 people (who were together) waiting for their number to be called. One person at the kiosk where you sign in, and by the time they were done, and it was my turn to sign in the party waiting for their number to be called was heading to a window. I took the opportunity to snap a pic of the empty waiting room and took a seat Less than 5 minutes later I was called to a window and by 2:10pm I was walking out the door. Wow.
