I was looking forward to getting out of obscurity and this digital-less world with a shipment of a phone, but when I got home at literally 4:55pm there was a slip for a signature needed. I called the West Side post office and while it was busy until 4:57pm, I finally reached someone at 4:58pm. I told them I'm a few minutes away and they said they would hold the door for me. I sped over there and there was quite literally someone at the door with my package. Customer service doesn't get any better than that. To my credit, I did get there around 5:05 or 5:07pm so it was only a few minutes after closing time, but man -- I'm glad I don't have to go phone-less for another day. I had a fantastic experience with the Lockport East Ave. post office back in early June. I had a…read morepackage of custom party decorations that was shipped late by an Etsy seller (despite my daily emails asking when it was going to ship and to confirm it would arrive in time) and it was iffy to make it in time for my son's 1st birthday party on Saturday. I called the post office Friday morning and spoke with Seth, the Post Master, and he was super helpful and said I can request the package be held as soon as I saw it was in Lockport. I tracked the package and called as soon as I saw it was at the Lockport station, they found the item and held it for me to pick up the morning of my son's birthday party. I went as soon as they opened the next Saturday morning and discovered the wrong package was held and now the package I needed was now out for delivery. Frantic, I called Seth and he discovered my package was going to be delivered by 5 pm...after the party. He asked me to give him a few minutes and he'd call me back. Within 5 minutes, Seth called me back and said his boss, Kaitlin, was going to get the package off the truck and deliver it for us and that she was going to call me to let me know when it was dropped off. In a matter of 30 minutes, the package was on my porch and Kaitlin called to confirm. These two did not have to do all of this for me, especially considering this wasn't USPS's fault, but they went above and beyond and were able to help make my son's 1st birthday party exactly as we wanted. I am so appreciative of Seth and Kaitlin and their excellent customer service. Thank you Seth & Kaitlin!!

There's the US Post Office, the THEM Post Office, and hopefully someday the EVERYONE Post Office…read morewhich will be my favourite. Until that day, I'll have to use the US one. This is one of the quieter post offices I've been to. I've never waited as long to mail out stuff here, as I have to wait at Clarence and even sometimes Akron. And don't get me started on some of the West Amherst, Cheektowaga, and city locations. I'd say it was my fave location in WNY, but one of the employees in particular (no names mentioned) occasionally has an attitude problem, so we'll stick with a 4. Not to mention, the products sold inside are infinitely more expensive than the same products at any one of many nearby stores. But I do find this location US-ful.

A charge bill payment and electric bill payment, both mailed together in OP on the same day, did not get to their destinations. I only found out when the electric co. sent a notice to turn off my power and the Visa co. charged me interest. 2. Three separate checks were sent together on the same day and not one of them got to their destination. 3. This month an obvious birthday card with lottery tickets inside was mailed inside the OP post office. It hasn't been seen since. 4. Another card with lottery tix was sent this month and also disappeared. I now have to send special cards in the large cardboard envelopes which can be tracked. Cost more for postage than the card is worth. Ridiculous!! Thieves in the post office and nobody seems to care.
