There also isn't a weight, but then it's not a gym. I have a post office right by my house (on Main St near Goodrich) but this one is quieter and more relaxing. It's smaller, too, but that's probably because very few people ever use it except the residents of Clarence Center. Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do post-review but this one's about done so it's time to figure that out.

This is one of the quieter post offices I've been to. I've never waited as long to mail out stuff here, as I have to wait at Clarence and even sometimes Akron. And don't get me started on some of the West Amherst, Cheektowaga, and city locations. I'd say it was my fave location in WNY, but one of the employees in particular (no names mentioned) occasionally has an attitude problem, so we'll stick with a 4. Not to mention, the products sold inside are infinitely more expensive than the same products at any one of many nearby stores. But I do find this location US-ful.

Because it's small, it has a limited number of shipping items you can buy (e.g. shipping boxes and envelopes) as well as a small selection of greeting cards. There are also only two cashier stations, which means, when there's a long line (esp during the holiday season), you'll be waiting a while. They're pretty efficient and fast with taking care of customers' business, but it could get backed up. Although I've used the self-service shipping center a couple times, I still prefer shipping things in person. That being said though, the self-shipping stand is very convenient. :)

The Clarence Senior Center is my mom's home-away-from-home. She's 80 and I don't know what she or I…read morewould do without this fantastic place! The senior center's director is an amazing woman who really cares about not just her job, but for those for whom she does this job. And the activities director is also pretty fantastic. She makes sure the seniors have movie nights, exercise classes, relevant guest speakers, and even fun trips. There are a lot of volunteer opportunities at the senior center as well. The building is sometimes used as a shelter during storms, and some of the seniors will volunteer to work during these times. In addition, it's used as a polling place, where many seniors find opportunities to serve their community. My mom also volunteers in the kitchen sometimes helping to prepare meals, at the front desk, and wherever else there's a need. She has delivered meals for Meals on Wheels through a program at the Clarence Senior Center. Every month we get a newsletter in the mail that outlines all the great programs that are available to members. Some things are there every month: weekly Bingo, Pinochle, Wood working, and a few other things. But then sometimes there are local trips, like to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and restaurant. They occasionally have mystery tours as well, where the travelers signed up don't know where they are going until they get there. Those are always fun trips (I know because my mom has asked me to join her on a few of them). If you've got a parent or loved one who is looking for somewhere they can go to play cards or Bingo or just to hang out and meet other seniors, this is a safe and welcoming environment. I highly recommend checking it out!
