We come for the great outdoor seating atmosphere and a good beer. They have nice people working there and the food is great! This is a consistent thing every time we come. Here are some recommendations - the have the best fries (5 alarm ketchup), arugula salad with mahi mahi was fresh and deliciously not overdressed, wings are very yummy, and ceviche was better than some Mexican restaurant I've tried. Went here on a whim, not sure how I didn't know this gem existed in West Seattle! Such a cute spot. Unknowingly from the street view. Wander inside and you'll see a carefully crafted bar interior with a wonderful outdoor patio. The patio "fence" is made of a compilation of old doors, such a cool decor style. This place is small and cute pictures don't do it justice. The service wow. We got there right at open we were greeted with a smile made to feel welcomed right away. My friend ordered a ginger beer and I ordered a root beef. This might seem small but he offered a glass and poured it for me. I love ice with all my cold drinks so this was a win for me. Here is where service becomes my best friend has celiac disease and let me tell you some places are super rude to her about it they don't understand how sick she can get. Well this place does after learning of my friends dietary restrictions the bartender realized the sandwich she ordered comes with fried scallions I think it was. Rather then coming to ask if she wanted them taken of he just did it on his own and then let us know that in the future if she ordered the sandwich she will want to let them know to take them off. Huge win well then he takes it one step further I over heard him talking to the cooks because this item is the only item they fry with flour that maybe they can do it another way. Fast forward to us getting ready to leave they test frying them in cornmeal and he said they taste the same. If they loose the flour their fryer will be gluten free opening it up for my friend to eat so much more on the menu. This place is right by their house this would be amazing if they make this small change and the fact that he went above and beyond for food safety for my friend is amazing!!! LOVED my burger. Big and super tasty. Awesome bun. Comes with bacon! #baconincluded My medium burger was cooked on point and the fries were nice and hot and crispy but soft in the middle. Awesome experience. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. Wings were delicious. They were smoked and flavorful. Coleslaw was great. My wife loved her turkey salad and the gf fish burger was loved as well. The Arugula salad was SUPER tasty. The fish and chips are/can be gluten free and we're also very very tasty. The service was great and the selection of beer/cider was impressive. A nice open bar and The patio outback was super chill and perfect for a summer evening. The food was a bit lack luster however. The shrimp ceviche was tasty but needed a bit more of a kick fortunately they have tapatio on hand and it comes with a heaping pile of fresh tortilla chips. The fish sandwich was hefty and tasty as a whole bite but the breading was a little weird and fell off easily and the fish seemed a bit dry. The burger was good just a bit over cooked (for someone who enjoys a med rare/med burger) the fries are fresh cut and super tasty tho!! read more

The burger is the way to go, always delicious and their fries are the best in town and are always hot. I'd give 5 stars but we didn't care for the Dixie fish sandwich. I live in the neighborhood and have driven by several time and decided to stop by around 5 pm Friday night. I walked in and felt right at home warm and inviting staff and the drinks were delicious ! They have a HH food and cocktails and even a beer and shot for 7 bucks woot woot ! Didn't order food by smells and looks amazing and they even have brunch on the weekends! Yes, it's a bar. But with an entire menu of fantastic food! Everything house made (except for the ketchup). Brisket french dip sandwich was on a perfect roll, slathered with horseradish sauce. Shrimp basket was perfection, on a bed of truly fresh, really crispy fries. This is all we could eat our first visit here, otherwise this post would have run longer. Usually love this place to get a drink or bite to eat on my way home, but just had a horrible experience leaving me confused and demoralized. Went there today to meet my partner after a difficult day to unwind, and was walking out (mind you I have been here a handful of times since moving to the area, again, loved this place for that and our amazing bartender) and simply asked if a door was an entrance to the bathroom, not realizing that the bathroom was a few doors down and that was a closet.... asking the OWNER, Josh, "hi is the the restroom?" He laughed in my face and pointed to the real bathroom. I then proceeded to apologize and say, "I'm sorry, just wasn't sure if your bathroom was open due to current situations" and he proceeded to say "as far as im concerned if youre a restaurant you have to have a bathroom " and rolled his eyes. After a difficult day and coming there for a safe space to unwind and to be treated like that by simply asking where the bathroom is, is enough for me to never come back. I've given this place so much money for take out during covid, and to have the owner completely demoralize me and be that awful about a bathroom question, is enough for me to never come back there. Great bar. Had an amazing beer selection. Also had wine, several ciders and makes mixed drinks. The sandwiches are amazing. Bar tenders worked hard to make sure we were happy and we never had to wait for anything. I am gluten free and the gluten free sandwich I ordered was the best I gave ever had! The gluten free sub rolls are amazing. Most places don't put in the effort to find appetizing substitutes. While the gluten free bread probably isn't be as good as the regular french bread it also didn't taste like the usual cardboard like substitutes. I will be going back for more sandwiches.
