I wish I checked Yelp reviews before going to this location to buy my very first brand new Coleman 1905BH trailer from them. They were so friendly when they tried to sell trailer to us. The brand new trailer has so much issues within 2 months. I thought they are under warranty so it shouldn't be problem to fix them all. This is how nightmare starts. Until now trailer still sitting in shop given al kinds of excuses why they didn't do anything after two months. We have to keep calling and emails. They keep asking us to leave messages or emails but still hardly to get them respond back. Now the summer is almost gone. Trailer is still in shop not being done anything. A huge regret to buy trailer from this space. Think twice if you are thinking to buy trailer. Go somewhere else has good reviews! read more

This is a tough one to rate... the people here are fantastic. Everybody. Top notch. But for some reason, my 11am appointment to pick up my trailer... TOOK 5 HOURS!!! THE WORST!!! Employees don't care anything about their customers, the lane leading to the dump station was blocked and we had to completely unhook our tow vehicle just to get back out!!! Couldn't even dump our tanks!!! We are Good Sam members and this is supposed to be a free dump station for us!!! The only reason they get two stars is because their store is fun to shop in, so many neat things to buy. Lines are long and slow though. And because with Good Sam you get free tank dumping. My issue with this camping world is with Rebecca Macuk. When I walked on the lot with my boyfriend it was with a pretty set budget and with the intention of NEVER buying a Forest River. Which we told her. To which she responded "yeah, Forest River was so shady with their warranties that we've completely stopped carrying them." She then proceeded to take us around the lot she shows is a Columbus. Who is columbus made by? Forest River. Which brand insignia was by the door? Forest River. When I pointed that out she told me that it was not a Forest River product and that the sticker shouldn't be there. So either she blatantly lied to me or was uneducated on their product to a horrible level both of which are huge problems. I work in sales and will never lie to a potential customer and expect the same respect. It's unfortunate because I liked the floor plan but never Forest River. Jokes on you guys though because I ended up buying a 116k trailer elsewhere because the value was there for me in the brand, trailer etc. read more

Absolute horrible customer service. Thankfully I did not buy my Rv here after trying to speak with the parts/service department. Not to mention calling in at 9am to speak with someone to discuss a possible install I was going to hire them for, to being told I would get a call back after they were finished helping a customer. 3:45 pm no call. So I called in and again, still same rude service. Spoke to someone in parts who didn't know what they were talking about. Then proceeded to tell me if the work was completed sooner than expected, they would still charge me the higher labor hours as quoted. I feel like I should really warn consumers about how bad this camping world franchise is. Kept our RV for 3 months the 1st time for minor repairs & 4 months the 2nd time. It got to the point where we needed to retrieve our RV. We had a monthly loan we were paying but not receiving the work requested. They attempted to tell us that they did a roof treatment which was a lie. After 4 months non of the requested work was completed. I climbed up on the roof to evaluate, the charged roof job on their lot, only to discover the the roof was not treated and the vents were worst due to the heat exposure while stored off site by Camping World. If you have a warranty issue, you will not be treated efficiently nor respectfully by this franchise. Take your rig somewhere else. This Camping World is not a good place to go. They will lie & try to prevent you from retrieving your RV off of their lot even after you pay for work not completed. Do yourself a favor & avoid the nightmare of Valencia Camping World. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would- I made an appointment for some warranty repairs on my 5th wheel and it was a month until the next available appointment. We dropped our trailer off on our appointment day with specific instructions that we would need to pick up in 2 weeks for an upcoming trip. For 2 weeks we received no updates, on day 12 we started calling and couldn't reach anyone for an update. We had to drive down there to get an answer from anyone. They said they were waiting for a part but called later and said they hadn't even diagnosed it yet. The did the diagnosis on the 12th morning before we picked it up saying they would order the part and we scheduled a follow appointment 3 weeks from then to allow the part to come in. We were told they would call when part came in ... no calls in 3 weeks. We called before bringing back for follow up appointment and come to find out part wasn't ordered yet !!! I can't believe the lack of communication, follow up and organization this place has. Avoid them like the plague ! I will be driving out of SCV now to find alternative place to work on our trailer . read more

I want to simply cry! Bought a 5th Wheel for over $66k and it's a lemon. So many problems I can't go into all of them. I was called by Camping World and told now the trailer is delaminating! OMG From brakes almost catching on fire to a propane leak, which could of ended in a explosion with the brakes burning up.... refrigerator not working I could go on and on! Forest River still hasn't approved the last 2 repairs of warranty work, Delamination or the side molding that is popping off, and now Camping World Management won't call me back!!! My sons getting deployed and I was gonna use this trailer to go see him before he left.... so many already planned trips just ruined ! We had a large class A RV, we went to Camping World to see if we could turn it in and get a Class C RV. That's exactly what we were able to do... Jeff Dixon was our sales associate that was not only professional but extremely knowledgeable. He was a joy to work with as he was also very personable. Camping World has a large selection of new and used RV's so we were able to see several options to choose from and were able to make a informed decision. We were able to get top dollar for our old RV but also we purchased our smaller RV that is a perfect fit for us. read more

I give Sherre 5 STARS but I minused one overall for the individual who assisted me before I asked for someone else. She was amazing every step of the way. I highly recommend her if you're looking to buy. (If I rated on the other individual, I would have given a 1 and moved on.) Sherre to the rescue to save the sale. I feel the process could certainly be improved upon but I take a majority of the fault in that I was mostly available via text only due to my crazy schedule. She did try to call me a few times where I was not available but it would be great if there was a process in place to assist difficult customers such as myself. Sherre was friendly, funny and very knowledgable. Ask for her. If she's out, wait for her to come back, you wont regret it. Had a great experience, call ahead of time and told them what we wanted in a travel trailer. They had a couple options already set up and with the AC on. Are salesperson Andrea Sepulveda listen to 2 different wants and was able to help us come together on a travel we both love. Then she help so much in the purchasing process has we were first time buyers. Can't wait to start making some new memories in are bullet. I have a dometic toilet in my travel trailer and learned that they are a manufacturer defect and camping world will do nothing about it to get it fixed. I am not mobile with it. I have been told by dometic it's a defect.. but no one will fix the problem with it leaking I have an extended warranty on it to. Bad business. read more

She was the reason we purchased from Camping World. Rick in the parts department was very helpful pre-ordering everything I required for my truck. Katherine my personal shopper helped me pick out items I needed for the RV. Mike in the service department was Great with my pre-delivery inspection. I had full intentions of purchasing a fifth wheel today from Camping world Valencia. I didn't get the best feeling from the sales manger. The deal was approximately $2,000.00 to complete the agreement. Somthing was not right with the sales manager. He didn't want to work a deal for some reason. I said to the sale manager you going to let me walk out the door over 2,000 dollars. He stated yes. So I got up and started to walk out the door but instead went over to parts asked for some quotes for parts that was going to be included in the deal that the sales manager was not willing work on with me. I wanted to compare the prices and of course it is cheaper then what the sales manger quoted. While I waited for the quote I checked Yelp for reviews and that sent me running out the door. Well once again camping world is awful. I have Girard awnings on my 2021 trailer. One of the awnings the fabric ripped and I needed it replaced. I received the material from Girard and needed it installed. I called them in April to setup and appointment with them to get this done. I spoke with the scheduler and told them exactly what I needed done, the model of the awning (gg750), and also to check with the service guys to make sure they can do this and how much it would cost. She went to the service guys and they said no problem, about two hours of labor (approx. $250-$300). It is now july and dropped off for my appt. The advisor said it would be done in a week or so. Two days passed and now they say it will take 5 hours and cost $750. WTH I towed this thing all the way there and they did the bait and switch. After this I called Girard and they are going to charge me $300 and it will be done while I wait!!! Camping world is awful!!!!!!!!!! read more

Went to check out a travel trailer advertised for a certain price and once we checked it out, sat down to make a deal with their dealer according to the dealers boss the trailer was mis-listed, the real price was $10000. Over the price first listed. Yet if you look at the same trailer on line on this day, it's listed the same as when we saw it the first time, it's sad that they lose customers this way. I'd never recommend this place to family or friend looking to purchase either an rv or travel trailer. read more

I don't know why they even say they offer a dump station. Closed more than it's open. Now they are closed on Sundays. Sunday is going to be when you have the most travelers through that need to dump on their way home. Employee told me they are not open on Sundays because of staffing, she said they have to have an attendant at the dump station. Yet they also have a sign that says to get a token from store to use at dump station. Why do I need a token if there is an attendant??? Pretty bad excuses. Camping World as a whole has gone downhill over the past few years. Took almost 10 min after opening for them to even answer the phone. We will definitely not be renewing our Good Sam or shopping at Camping World anymore. We always went in and spent money in their store when we stopped in the past. One would think with Amazon and other competition, they would work on customer service. read more

Freddy didn't seem to mind I didn't want to buy & to me was just as excited as I was to show me the difference between trailers & 5th wheels. I learned how to tow a trailer & the different sizes & best of all how NOT to let my wants get the best of me & get what's needed. Went to Camping World of Valencia, CA and was given the pleasure of dealing with Sam Bauer in sales. While there, Sam took his time in seeing to it that our time on the lot was efficient, showed us the type of RVs we were looking for until we found the right one for us and within our price range. Sam was pleasantly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the experience, making it a stress-free, and most importantly, a pressure-free process for us. If he wasn't sure of something, he definitely went right to finding out the answers we needed. My parents bought a "brand new" trailer from this camping world on the final walk through they noticed the awning arm wasn't closing right. Camping world promised to fix the problem before deliver the unit. Then it all goes downhill from there. After parking it at home the first day of having it my dad noticed that the vent outside was falling off, trim moulding inside the unit was falling off just from the drive home, the inverter was not secured in the electrical panel, and all the rivets in the shower were popping off. So my parents decided to take it back to Camping World for repairs and the service advisors are quick to please and say that they will have it all fix in no time. As their unit sits at there location for over 6 weeks, they call them to finally pick up the rig and none of the actual warranty work was even done. The only thing that actually got handled was the extra ac unit my parents paid to have installed. The trailer has been back to Camping World now four different time, and each time it's the same go around they say they fix things but not all you're concerns. This last time they took it in because the decorative moulding in the bunk house fell off and damaged the window and entertainment area, also the slide seals were ripping off for the third time. As of today they had my parents unit for over a month my dad decided to just go pick it up after leaving numerous voicemails and emails that never got returned. When they would get ahold of someone they would go on and say that they would have it completed that week and then no response. All they do is give you the run around. I'd advise anyone thinking about buying or taking your rig there for service to just not these people don't care the workers are rude. Lie right to you're face just to tell you what you want to hear. My mom has even called corporate on the matter and they said they would get back to them in 2 days it's now been 4 seems like no one cares and they spent over 50 grand on a shit trailer that just keeps falling apart. read more

The first time this happened I figured it was a one off, the second time I thought, ok, the serviceman was having a bad day, the last time, well, was the last time. 1: May 2014, our lovable Mojo the Dog had just passed away. My wife and I needed to get away so we planned a glamping vacation in Santa Barbara. I figure before we go I should have some maintenance done on my 5th Wheel. I take it to Camping World Valencia, I want the brake pads replaced and the wheel bearings packed. A week later I pick it up and as I am going through the parking lot I realize the brakes aren't working at all. I adjust my controller to the max and nothing. I go back and ask them to take a look at it. The mechanic comes out, he's pissed off, says he already adjusted them and I get a little hot under the collar and straight up tell him to lose the attitude. He does, he readjusts my brakes and after an hour or so were good to go. We get to our destination, about 20 miles past Santa Barbara and get settled into our camping spot. I'm BBQing dinner when I look down at my wheel and see grease all over the rims and tires. I pull the hubcaps off, all 4 grease caps had fallen off and each hub was bone dry. The grease that was inside of the hubcap was old grease, not new grease like it should have been. The mechanic removed the grease caps, looked at them and figured they were fine and never repacked the hubs. He would have gotten away with it except he forgot one important step, you have to tap the grease cap back on with a rubber mallet or they fall off into the hubcap and you get caught trying to steal from your customers. I spent the next day running into town, purchasing grease and repacking my bearings at the campsite. I wouldn't have made it home and I can't imagine what might have happened if one of those wheels had come off while I was on the freeway. I went back, spoke to the manager. I told him what happened, showed him the pictures and he played the part. He offered to repack my bearings! I went ahead and let them repack them and sure enough, they did. They charged me for repacking the bearings which they did not do. 2: Summer of 2015, I take my 5th wheel in for generator service, brake adjustment, and a few other things. One week later I pick it up and decide to look at the oil in the generator. To my dismay, they never changed the oil or filter. I go back inside and talk to the service writer and he was awesome. Stated that they may have confused my 5th wheel with another one and had the serviceman change the oil and filter while I waited. That's all great and everything except one thing, they flat out tried to rip me off again! If I hadn't checked the oil, I would have never known. 3: October 2016, I take my 5th Wheel in to have the generator serviced and the roof cleaned and treated. First off, I booked the drop off with the service writer for a Saturday, not only me, my friend who also needed generator service booked to drop his off on Saturday at the same time as me. We get there on time at 9:30 am, wait for 45 minutes in the service writer area, we are completely ignored the entire time. Finally, I ask someone and he has a total attitude with me and says "WE DONT TAKE DROPOFFS ON SATURDAY". I fire right back and tell him to mind his tone with me and I would like to speak to the manager. Steve (I think that's his name) comes out of his office. I explain to him that we had booked drop-off times with the women that sat at a certain desk. He says she just started and did know better. Fine, I get that, I just want my 5th wheel serviced. He asks the service manager to take our rigs and he does, however, his attitude made me want to go MMA on him but I kept my cool. 1 week later I pick my 5th wheel up. I check my generator to make sure they changed the oil and they did. I check the brakes to make sure they adjusted them and they did. I climbed on my truck to check the roof only to discover that they never touched my roof. They didn't clean it or treat it or even climb up on it. I stormed into the manager and showed him my bill then asked him to climb up on the roof and tell me if the work was done. He grabbed a dolly, climbed up on the roof, walked around for a minute, looked me in the eye and said: "No one has been on this roof for a long time". I figured he could see his footprints in the dirt. In 3 visits they charged me for work they should have performed. The manager was nice, offered to refund my money or have the work done. I was already there and had them complete the work. Afterward, I climbed on the roof and inspected it myself and they did a good job. However, the fact remains, 3 times they tried to rip me off. If you go to Camping World Valencia, please make sure all the work you paid for was completed. Kyle was the only person that ever really helped me. He was great however not there anymore. I wish I could have a chance to read all the reviews before I bought my Thor 2021 here. They tried to sell the vehicle so quick, but the maintenance service ( when you bring the vehicle back) would take forever. They had my RV since June 22th ( Omg! Almost 4 months already. The Summer was over over over!!!!) I called so many times and the receptionist was so rude ( today is the rudest one, 1012-2021 at 11:05am). They keep find an excuse to keep my vehicle ( I don't know why). The manager, please don't ask me to contact your team. I never can reach to the service Department. You guys should be the one contact me to update about my vehicle status (9099041215). I am so exhausted to contact you guys. Totally it is a nightmare to work with this Camping World location. We purchased a new Winegard Togo c2 from Camping World. It was shipped to our home as it was not in stock. We made an installation appointment along with a warranty work appointment. We are not yet sure of the warranty work as we haven't had the opportunity to take our 5th wheel out. They did leave the battery on so when we arrived to pick it up we couldn't as the leveling would not work with the dead battery. So we had to leave it overnight for them to charge the batteries. When we arrived home ready to setup the Togo, we found the reason for the dead batteries. The heater was left on running down the batteries. Okay we took that in stride as it appears our heater was repaired. We will see. We finally had to send an email letting them know we were holding payment until the issue is resolved. That got David to call us and say they didn't ever get the booklet. Problem seems to be ours. No offer to assist. Nothing at all. Payment stopped until unit working. Issue not resolved with David doing nothing. Here's why: Go to set up the Togo and no paperwork left in coach. We call and ask for the combined installation & owners manual. You must have the manual to connect the first time. Camping World didn't know where it was. Next thing we were told it wasn't in the box. We had checked the box to make sure everything was there including the wiring and on/off switch. We made sure to check when we dropped the unit off that the booklet was still taped inside the box. We tried calling and emailing several times. Finally received an email that the booklet was not in the box. So how did they test that it was working. You need the QR code from the booklet to do that. We had a great experience at Camping World. The selection is good and the store has everything you need. It was easy to deal with everyone there during this difficult time. Our sales person, Andrea Sepulveda, was a pleasure to work with. We went to Camping World knowing what we were looking for and she was helpful getting us into the motor home that met our needs. After we drove home there were a few issues (we only had 1 set of keys, we were missing the manual for the leveling system and we were missing the remote for the DVD player). I reached out to Andrea on her day off and she immediately started the process to find the missing items. She was able to locate the missing items and shipped them to us overnight. read more

Now, for the Service Department that really got me angry. I had a leak in my line connecting the black and grey tanks and valves. I had asked for a quote over the phone. They refused to even give me a range like $300-1200. So I brought it in. They were too busy (even though I see so many employees standing around and talking all the time). I made an appointment. I was called and needed to reschedule. I finally came in only to have them too busy. An hour later I was working with a service writer. She talked me into a service package that included all the systems at a specified price. I went for it as that was exactly what I needed. However, I found out later that the black and grey valve replacement may add onto the cost being an older vehicle. Again, I asked for a quote. What appeared to be the service department supervisor or lead REFUSED to give me a quote or even a guess of between $1-$10,000. He said that his mechanics would need to examine it first. I told him, look, I have a tight budget and need to know if I need to wait another paycheck before proceeding. He again REFUSED to give a quote. So I said, ok, fine, but if it starts going over $300, please tell me so we can work together in my budget. A day later he tells me that it went over and that they weren't able to do the extensive service that should have included the sewage. They only did the grey/sewage. He said that they almost needed to drop the tanks but that would have cost more. I left and figured out later they hooked it all up wrong, electrical sensors, pipes, the works, and they refused to return my multiple calls about it. I sent an email as well and there again was no reply. I can't dump just the grey (since I fill it faster), I need to dump black to get to grey. One tank says it is always full and water, grey and black sensors seem crossed now! They refused to hear my complaint or make it right to this day! read more

Scam alert! RUN AWAY! Stay Away! We experienced our RV being held captive. As a result we are now victims of extreme price gouging. It's like watching an episode of "Shameless!" It was 4 months after dropping off our 2017 RV, that has less than 10k miles on it, that we finally decided that we need to retrieve our 2nd home due to non communication from Camping World Valencia, Ca. We were not allowed to take our RV off the lot until we payed $1,977.75 for 2 $150 dollar Fantastic electrical vents installed & an oil change. We have a list of items that were illegally charged to us. Forced to pay for vents and not the lighting issue we brought the RV in for the original problem, we were denied our keys in order for us to retrieve our RV off their lot. Absolutely CRIMINAL! We were lied to from the moment we dropped our newish RV off for warranty work. Insert every lie & excuse from the assigned service agent when attempting to get an update. We could've done all the work ourselves if not for the warranty! We have multiple charges that were not conducted, nor completed on our RV after 4 months!!!! November 10th, 2020- March 3rd, 2021 Do not buy from "Camping World" Valencia, Ca. Do not trust this particular franchise location. They will manipulate your work orders. Lie to you about your warranties and attempt to not release your vehicle, after over charging you, for work not even attempted, nor completed. Well the nimrods at this Camping World have struck again. I started receiving renewal notices for my Good Sam Roadside Service membership, which was due to expire in September. In August, while shopping at Camping World I asked them to add my renewal to my bill and I paid for it. Tonight, I had a problem with my motorhome and I called Good Sam for roadside service and was told that my membership had expired. WTF??? Turns out these idiots renewed my membership in the Good Sam Club, instead of my Roadside Service membership. The kicker? My membership in the Good Sam Club doesn't expire until 2018. I knew that, but the idiots who sold me the membership didn't? Of course they did. All my membership information is right there on their computer, but these jackasses went ahead and charged me for a renewal that wasn't even due, and never said a word, or thought it was odd that I was renewing 2-years early? Of course not! Lots of companies charge their customers for renewals that aren't due, right? Clearly a mistake was made, and I didn't make it, but Good Sam refused to own their mistake or send someone out. Take my advice. If you do business with Camping World, you'll regret it. read more
