Two years ago, my wife and I bought a vibe Rvm woth a hitch with stabilizer s. We were towed that if we bought a different truck to bring the hitch in and they will readjust it for us. I was told quite frankly that oh we can't pull somebody away from their job because they need to make money. What kind of customer service is that? I ordered a locking mechanism for my tow hitch. This was a special order. I canceled that order within 30 minutes of ordering it cause I realized it wouldn't work and the store called still charged me for the shipping charge. They refunded me for the item they charged me the shipping charge. The item was never even shipped. It was never even pulled to be shipped because I canceled it right away. That just shows me the integrity of this stores customer service they suck in my opinion. read more

We purchased a 2023 Sandstorm from Forest River by Camping World in Phoenix, Oregon (now combined with Camping World of Medford) in May of 2024, and it turned out to be one of the most frustrating and costly experiences we've ever had. Less than a year later, after countless problems and over 200 days of the RV sitting at their shop, we ended up trading it in at a loss of at least $25,000--just to be done with it. From day one, it was issue after issue. The RV wasn't properly set up for our brand-new Denali, which led to damage on our truck. And instead of taking responsibility, they wanted us to file an insurance claim. Windows weren't sealed properly and leaked. The landing gear went out multiple times, and even after repeated failures, they refused to install a proper two-motor system. We had to fight for every single repair, and worse--some issues weren't covered under the factory or aftermarket warranties, so we ended up paying out of pocket. Each repair meant hauling the unit back and forth from Klamath Falls to Medford--burning more money in fuel and time. And despite it all, the RV spent more time in the shop than in our driveway. To be clear, the sales and service staff were friendly and professional--we don't blame them personally. They were clearly just as frustrated as we were. But it became obvious that, by the end, everyone just wanted us to go away. Well, mission accomplished. We will NEVER spend another dollar or moment of our time at Camping World. And we strongly caution anyone considering a purchase from them--especially if you don't live right down the street--because if anything goes wrong, you'll be the one paying the price. read more

Regarding camping world: I had a very negative experience with their service department. They took advantage of me and the wouldn't return my trailer without paying them over $800, even though they were unable to fix my slide out. They then wanted over 4K finish the repair. The traveling repair guy repaired my slide out for less than $300. Camping world customer service then called me. I emailed and called them over a dozen times back. They gave me an extension number that didn't work. And I'm now still waiting for a return call or email. Terrible customer service. read more

Consignment in Medford. We brought our 2021, pristine 5th wheel to Camping World to sell as this is a nation-wide company. We chose this company because we thought they'd be able to do extensive marketing. We signed a 60 day contract. It took them a week to list the rig. No clean up or repairs needed. Although they did want to seal the roof. The rig had been in a garage for 2 years. There was no need for roof work. The lead photo they used for the ad listed tire pressures. ??? The price was off the charts for any similar rig selling in the area. We only needed enough to pay off our loan. When we brought this to their attention (we were watching the ad), they lowered the price $18,000. Still $20,000 more than what we needed. (It took them a month to do that) And so it sat. And Sat. And Sat. Lots of phone calls. Lots of "this is not my department". I think Camping world makes their money by doing suggested repairs. When we went to pick it up, the battery was dead. It was tucked into a tight spot, in the back of the lot with a lot of old dusty, dirty rigs. You couldn't even get in to look. I do not believe Camping World is concerned with moving units. I think they are in the business of selling over-priced repairs. Always close with something good to say: The manager came out to talk with us. He LISTENED. That was nice. He mentioned this was not the first time he'd heard these complaints. Conclusion: They've got too many cooks in the kitchen and the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Steer clear. If you need toilet paper, ok. But don't go there to sell your rig. read more

The Medford location sucked...the trailer we wanted needed repairs ...and their solution was to purchase a 1300.00 package that we don't need and then they would negotiate the price of the repairs..now why would I spend $25,000.00 on a used trailer that needed repairs and I would have to pay for it..IM NOT STUPID!!! Grossly incompetent. They had my RV for a month and bill was over $5K. They replaced the air conditioner no problem. The sideout was sticking and they just threw parts at it which did not address the issue. They said they could not get the parts to the refrigerator. The vent cover was replaced but when they installed it they jammed the vent, clearly didn't test it and the motor consequently burned up. Great communication from the service writer assuring me everything was OK. They didn't know how to align axles so I had to take it to another shop and they were unable to service the generator........Big Waste of Time and money. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Months ago we inquired about the price of an RV, and we made the mistake of giving Camping World our phone number. Since then, every few days we get another obnoxious call from them wanting to sell us another RV. We have asked to be taken off of their call list, but then we just start getting calls from a different associate. Every time we go in to their store to buy something, we are being pressured to sign up for their "Good Sam" paid membership. Even when we decline, the associate will proceed to argue with us about why should sign up. During our last visit, we went in because we saw an advertised price for an RV tank treatment. When we went to pay, it rang up as significantly more money. When I explained that their website was showing a different price, I was told that they can only honor their advertised prices if we agree to sign up for their paid membership. They cannot honor their advertised prices unless you give them more money? Camping World is capitalism at its very worst! That was the last straw for us; we are finished with Camping World. We don't want the endless sales calls, the aggressive sales arguments, or all the false advertising. We were willing to pay a little extra to buy locally, but at this point we will gladly shop online from the big blue guys with lower prices and free shipping rather than deal with Camping World. I would not recommend this place they don't care about you and sell broken used parts that is sold as new I have bought a bunch of different parts from them over the last couple of months AND I only received products that either missing pieces or completely broken and up on further inspection of the packages I could tell that they spent the time gluing or taping the package back together and trying to pass it off has brand new. They apparently buy cheap used returned product from manufactured and try to scam people into buying used broken merchandise as new. And good luck getting a refund. It is better and cheaper just buy your stuff from Amazon. It will save u the trouble because mark my words that is where you will end up having to buy you stuff. Avoid !!! I'm sorry - the service guy Thomas has been the only person to address the continued issues of my used RV that I purchased. He is a gem to the service department! I am new to the RV life. I had to put new brakes on it within a week while I was in Northern California. I don't know what happened with the " safety inspection " that I thought was standard. I was retailed on the price and knew it ( my choice) - but, rejected the price of the warranty. ( I worked in the retail car business for over 20 years). I know I probably paid too much for the RV ... but, I really loved it. I never got the standard satisfaction phone call from my sales representative after I drove off. This was something that we required from our sales people at my dealerships. I thought the finance guy was nice . But, today I called 3 times to ask him for a copy of a document so I could get a duplicate key made, since I have not received ownership documents that were required. He left without calling me back. Excellent service and we couldn't be more pleased with our salesperson, Amanda Taylor, and the "money boss", Colin. We stopped in to look at used Class C motor homes, and told Amanda what we were looking for and our price range. They happened to have a trade in that was not on the lot yet but agreed to show it to us, in it's "just come in" condition. So glad they were willing to, because it was EXACTLY what we were looking for and we instantly knew we wanted it. Amanda was knowledgeable about the RV and if we posed a question she didn't know, she procured the answer for us promptly. No hard sales pitch at all - just honest answers, and a willingness to help us find what we wanted. She communicated with us by phone and text numerous times in the coming days and accepted our requests for repairs or upgrades. Within a week, we had our "new" to us RV! Colin, the money manager, was great, too - completely transparent in handling the money paperwork and the financing details, and willingness to make sure we were happy. If I could give zero stars I would! The service department charges a minimum of $90 per item you want fixed just to diagnose the problem and do not make this clear as they call it a service estimate. They are also charging $80 for a part that they sell on their own website for $38. I understand charging something to diagnose but when we go in telling them that the black tank valve, grey tank valve, and door lock need replacement and are hit with a $500 bill just to tell us they need to be replaced, that's absurd. This doesn't even get applied to the repair cost. Other local businesses are telling us that's overcharging. read more

They carry name brand trailers, have comparative pricing and look the part. The process is not explained and they take advantage of us thinking it was anything like a car deal experience. You will prob need insurance if financing and the process takes multiple days. The trailers are all show models so pay close attention and hold your check list in hand when doing your walkthrough, we found multiple broken/missing items as well as items not put together when we got home and the only resolve is filing a warranty claim they tell us. We bought a brand new RV. I can't tell you how disappointed we have been with Camping World. The product was misrepresented: it didn't have Lithium ion batteries as we were told. Then we were told the offending salesman "no longer works here". We got an estimate to have the missing Lithium batteries installed but the price was almost twice as much as Brother's RV. They wanted to charge us $180 ( their minimum hourly rate) for a second walk-through to review how it all works. The product is really shabby: no door stops to keep the handles from poking a hole in the wall, no toilet paper or towel racks, no lift support to use under bed storage, TV was not connected to the sound bar. Cushions for dinette conversion to twin bed had a 3" gap in the middle. No where to store a broom. Coat hooks by door are almost useless because slide out rubs up to it when closed... Of course, I assume higher end models have more quality , but good grief, those details seem basic. read more

If you are considering buying a Bighorn 5th wheel, you may want to read this first. In May I purchased a Bighorn 32RS at Camping World In Medford Oregon and I had it delivered to my RV lot in California. When I traveled down to set up the unit I quickly discovered many problems with the RV. The first issue was that the floor got torn when I extended the kitchen slider since a plumbing fitting had been left in the space under the slider. There is a tear about 6" long from it dragging on the brand new floor. Next I noticed that the living area window shade had not been screwed in and was hanging down several inches on one side. I fixed that myself although it was a pain in the neck to get screwed in. The fake wood trim had come loose in many areas which I will probably have to shoot back on with my nail gun. The shower door has a depression on the outside of the track that water collects in and gets gross. The second propane tank is faulty and leaks when the hose leaks at the fitting is attached. Nice safe quality control on that. Water leaks from behind the panel where the hose makes it's connection. A steady drip that will require some major removal of parts to find. The Air 360+, which is supposed to have a removable cap to allow the attachment of a WiFi router add on does not. Attaching the router is going to require removing the glued down 360+ from the roof and drilling thru the ceiling and then recaulking the unit to the roof. My guess is that if I did that myself, and it leaked, it would void some sort of warranty. The mattress is about as comfortable as sleeping in a sleeping bag on the floor. There are various dings in the dining table. All the nail holes were filled with the filler not wiped smooth. The recliners were stained on the seat area. There are several areas with sticky goo that will require goo-gone to remove. In general they seem to rush these units out of the factory with no concern for quality control. Since I mentioned warranty, I have gotten no response in getting these issues resolved. The 3 year warranty sounds nice but, at this point seems useless. I can't say for certain if this is the fault of Heartland, the manufacturer, or Camping World of Medford, but I can say it has left me extremely dissatisfied. read more

QUIK story, Medford Oregon is looking for a service advisor and have been since January of 2024, I applied and was denied, reason did not match their criteria. Requirements A: 1 year experience, I have over 25 years' service experience B: RV knowledge, I have 40+ years of RV, motorhome, toy hauler, 5th wheel and recently a pull trailer. And a few other things that I am diffidently qualified for. Pay is almost half of what I use to make but fortunately at this time in my life I was just looking for a job with some fun involved. 19 years Good Sam membership / which I canceled yesterday. 10 years Good Sam Visa membership / canceled yesterday. purchased thousands of dollars of supplies from toilet paper to generators, which will no longer happen. Call corporate HR to ask how they determine their hiring, no return call. Call GM at Medford Oregon dealer to inquire, was told Brent would call me back no return call. My only hope for them is Mark is still somewhat involved and reads these reviews. Bottom line if they hired people with experience, they would most likely not have all these other negative reviews. FRIENDS find a smaller more family driven RV store that will at lease answer your calls. read more

We purchased an Arctic Fox 29RK last week at Camping World in Medford, OR. When we arrived to take possession, I turned the water pump on and water spewed out the broken shore water connection and flooded under the shower. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The break-away safety lanyard was way too short to be of any use. When we got it to the RV park 2 miles away I filled the freshwater holding tank and found the bedroom partially flooded. The fill port was not correctly installed. All of the above were addressed by the service staff after the unit was inadequately prepped for delivery. Much of the work done was not done at all competently. Like the door... and the brake lanyard. On the road: The refrigerator quit somewhere between Barstow, CA and Mesa, AZ. We also were delighted to find that the hot water in the shower only trickled out. Bad fixture? Kinked pipe? We drove to the Camping World in Mesa, AZ because they couldn't find anyone to talk to us on the phone. Alas, they told us they could get us in "next month". Then we would have to wait for parts because they don't stock parts! My advise is to avoid Northwood products and Camping World in general. read more

When it came time to send me my check, Diane Henderson sent out the payment via FedEx. When the envelope didn't arrive as scheduled I checked tracking info and discovered FedEx claiming an "operational delay." I called Diane to ask about whether or not the delay might be because my P.O. Box was on the shipping label, not my street address. Although here on the small-town southern Oregon coast UPS and FedEx do occasionally work with the post office when it comes to small deliveries, in this case that wasn't going to work. Diane -- after hanging up with me -- took the initiative to call FedEx and give them my street address. This is what happens when you buy a brand new trailer from Camping world and it has water leaking issues.... paid roughly 43,000$ for a coleman 300tq trailer in Fall 2022. Within the first 4 months we noticed water had been leaking into the front of our trailer and had obvious water settling inside with interior wall absorption as well. Warranty was denied and Camping world did not plan on helping until I was about to involve an attorney. Now a year has passed and I have had another leak in the roof that caused water to be coming out of my ceiling. Saturating the Insulation. (Also, this trailer has been kept undercover/covered while being stored and has only been used a few times) Denied me again which led me to having to fix the issue myself. Here we are... a year later..no customer support what so ever. I will NEVER use camping world again nor do I reccomend anyone to as well. The reason we decided to buy a new Trailer, was to hopefully avoid alot of these issues or to at least get some support from the Dealer when it comes to warranty. Save your money and sanity and visit a local privately owned dealer.
