The fine folks at The RV Doctor came through for us in a major way. While temporarily living in our travel trailer during a home renovation, the exterior door broke to the point that it would not close properly. The good news is RV Doc got a replacement door from the factory. The bad news is it was damaged by the shipping company. They were able to quickly repair the damaged door and get it installed. And due to our special circumstances, they squeezed us in and expedited the repair. The price was very reasonable. I recommend The RV Doctor to anyone in Southern Oregon! Beware The RV Doctor!!! Disclaimer: this review is not based on their quality of work, rather their shoddy business practices, lack of transparency, and poor communication. Had them come out for a service call to evaluate a blown hydraulic line. Lady on the phone was nice enough. Soonest they could see me was 3 1/2 weeks. Gave me some tips to ensure I wouldn't have more problems while I waited for my appointment. Never disclosed the cost of the service call ($150), guess that's on me for not asking. Guy shows up 3 1/2 weeks, finds the problem, says they'll order the part, shouldn't be too hard to fix. Great! How much? Oh, I'm not sure. (That's one). We'll order the part and she'll give you a call in a day or two to get you on the schedule. Awesome! No call after 3 days so gave them a ring. Got the "owner." Tells me the girl who does the schedule is out and will call me on Monday to setup a day. Can you tell me how much it will cost? She'll let you know on Monday. (That's two). Monday comes and goes, no call. Reached out again after a few days. She tells me the part has been ordered but we don't have a tracking number. I'll call you when it comes in. Great! Can you tell me how much? Sorry, I'm not sure at the moment. (That's three). Ok, well can I schedule a day for you to come fix it? We'll reach out when the part gets delivered. Ok. Thank you. That was 3 months ago. After speaking with some people in the area, this is not an uncommon business practice for The RV Doctor. Still have not heard from them and I've since fixed the problem myself. I personally would never call the RV doctor again and if I were you I'd be hesitant to risk dealing with them at all. Despicable, deplorable, dishonest, and unprofessional. As stated above this is not a review on The RV Doctors quality of work...and that's because they never did any. Thanks for nothing. read more

Started our two week Oregon trip and discovered a propane leak. I searched everywhere and couldn't find it. I called a half dozen mobile and shop RV repair businesses. Finally, called The RV Doctor and they said they could check out the problem at their shop the following day. It was on our way. The good news is they found the leak in about an hour and a half. The bad news is we can't use our stove for the whole trip. We need to replace the pigtail that feeds the stove. We'll do that when we return home. We do not have a leak. Big relief. That said, every time I have made an appointment, the technician has shown up, on time, something rarely experienced with Mobile RV repair people. Their price quotes are competitive, perhaps a little more than some of the other guys, but they are honored, and again, on time as promised. read more

The heater in my RV started to randomly turn on after some water got on the wires and I unplugged some of the wires to the heater to make it stop. When I plugged the wires back in it wouldn't turn on at all, really I had forgotten to plug in one of the wires. I brought my rv in to have the heater "fixed", all they did was plug in the wire I had forgotten to plug back in, it took minutes, and they charged me 50 bucks. I expected there to be some understanding in what a simple mistake this was, but there was none. I asked him to call his boss, Mike, to which he just said on the phone "she wants to reduce the price, no, okay". No explaining the situation or anything. This business showed no decency or humanity and I left feeling preyed on. read more

My hot water heater broke on my RV and I attempted to get it fixed/replaced by a different mobile RV service who ended up taking my old hot water heater and then stopped responding. I called the RV doctor and they installed a new hot water heater the following day!! The only thing I regret is not calling them first!! read more

Was referred to the RV Doctor by a local RV Shop. Mike answered the phone promptly, got the details of my issue and asked for a few minutes to confirm he had someone free to handle it. So, we have had Mike, aka RV Dr. work on 2 different RV's of ours. Our first experience came this past June when he fixed a bad job a previous RV mechanic did on wiring a Transfer Switch that caused it to blow up. Mike quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. We were so impressed that when we got our new 5th Wheel in SD, we drove out to Medford to have Mike and his crew install a 800 Watt Solar System, 3000 Watt Inverted, and 3 Lithium Batteries and all the wiring that goes with it. It was a big job. We did schedule it with Mike a month and a half in advance. We are very pleased with his Professionalism, skills and quality of his work. Okay, these guys are seriously the best. After the cooling unit on my 10-year old fridge bit the dust, I started calling around the Valley. First off, most places I called said it was "unfixable" and that a new fridge would cost ~$1600. Secondly, they said that the part was "discontinued." My pet peeve is someone telling me "it's not possible." That's why when I called Mike at the RV Doctor and he said, "Yes, we can fix that" I was thrilled! They partner with a company here in Oregon that refurbishes RV fridge cooling units, so not only could they get me the part, but they'd recycle the old cooling unit so that it wouldn't go to the landfill. Mike and his assistant Joel showed up in their professional-looking Mercedes van, and I knew these guys would do good work. Not only that, but when I realized I'd given them the wrong part number (I thought I needed the part for an 8ft³ fridge when mine was actually 6ft³) they were so understanding and patient. The old cooling unit was a b*tch to get out, but these guys wouldn't let a little sweat stand in their way! While completing the installation, they also recommended I get a new vent cover, something that other RV repair places hadn't noticed. Did I mention that the best thing about the RV Doctor is they come to you?? Seriously, I told Mike he better watch out or I'll be calling him from Las Vegas on my road trip! read more

Shane came to my place based on needed repairs. (bent up fender, window that wouldn't close and other minor things.) He took photos and said he would get back to me with pricing. He then said that will be a $110 service charge. What? No one told me there was a $110 for you to come out and take some photos. He said that was their minimum charge. He did call back about a week later with unrealistic prices. So, I paid them $110 and got nothing in return. Beware. read more
