These folks at Henderson's Line-Up are simply the BEST! My 2015 Itasca Navion (Sprinter Chassis) was having some swaying and overall stability issues, especially when flat-towing. I discussed the problem with Jesse, and he suggested upgrading to some Koni shocks and struts, and changing out the stock anti-sway bar for a Supersteer one. They were able to schedule me to fit my tight time line as I passed through Grants Pass traveling North. The work was completed promptly in one day and I was on my way. The whole experience was fantastic: their communication was excellent and their invoice to complete the work was substantially less than a quote that I had gotten for the same work from a firm in Redding. The staff was cooperative and extremely helpful, especially when ferrying me to and from my motel. Well let me start of by saying what great service and communication every one was very nice and professional. I have an older 2003 class A Winnebago sightseer 28 foot on a p32 chassis. I had new Koni shock, super steer rear track bar super steer front springs and sumo springs and drivers side exhaust relocated in front of the rear wheels and safety plus installed. during inspection the lower ball joints were bad as well as one of the upper control arm shaft. My RV had a bad nose dive and was not level. It was a wreak un level all the way around and not fun to drive. it drove like a porpoise jumping out of the water and a dog wagging its tail. After all the work was completed my RV was level and drove down the road great. I even had very little push and pull from big rigs passing me. and the shocks are wonderful. the ride and drive was night and day. I can not recomend them enuff. if you need work done or super steer parts to make your life driveing better, grat people and excellent service go there. read more

This business was referred to us, for an alignment on our Leisure Travel Van RV. We called in May for an appointment and they were booked until July 23rd, so we snagged that appointment. We had been told by several other shops that they were unable to do an alignment on our RV, due to the body style of our particular unit. The wait was well worth it! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very informative. The shop is top notch, their lounge is very nice. They were able to do the alignment, plus a couple other services, that made our RV drive so much better. They put an anti- sway bar underneath,in the rear, which has really minimized the rocking motion. ( I believe this part is a design of their own) We couldn't be more pleased, and would recommend this family business to anyone that needs an alignment, especially on your RV. read more

Henderson's rocks!!! We have been coming to Henderson's now for 10 years. This last time was our fourth time to have work done, the first three times being on our 2014 Thor ACE, which we sold and now have a 2017 LTV Unity. We wanted to do the same things to the Unity as we did to the ACE, as it made such a dramatic difference in the ACE. We had a sway bar, trak bar, Koni shocks and struts, and front Sumos put on, and WOW! what a difference it made!!! The Unity was already a joy to drive, but it is now phenomenal! Also, the benefit of being able to plug in overnight while work was being done on our Unity was priceless. Heading N from Redding on I-5 asked for a front end estimate & was told by Randall, 1st Service Advisor OK & they went out of the way to squeeze me in on a Friday. Thanks very much for getting my Rig into a Bay pronto but after sitting for 2 hours in a deserted waiting room with no interaction from anyone, ventured outside & there was my Motorcoach sitting out of the service bay.... so inquired about front end estimate status at which time Bryce, another Service Advisor informed me that the Front End Re-do on my 1999 Safari Trek motorcoach would cost $10k. Sticker Shock! I had requested an OBDII engine scan on a 'Service Engine Soon' dash light, & Bryce said they got nothing (PO236 'Sensor out of Range' & no one could tell me what that means). ...saying 'he gave me a break' on the fee & only charged for half an hour @ $91....something that only takes a few minutes & Auto Zone does for FREE, was adding insult to injury. If they had said, 'Hey we are not diesel engine experts & don't know about this Service Engine Soon code'... I would have appreciated that much more than a $91 charge. With $10k future workorder on the plate... to charge for the scan was counterproductive to any future business.... It was 'penny-wise & pound-foolish. read more

We have made 2 visits with our motorhome. Four years ago we purchased a 2013 Itasca Sunova and headed from central Texas towards Oregon to see family. We were very dissatisfied with the unit. I was ready to go back and trade it in on a 5th wheel. on our second night out we met a man that commented on our unit. As soon as I started telling him what I did not like, he stopped me. He was taking a brand new Tiffin to Henderson's for work. This would be his 4th unit to have them work on. I took his advice and made an appointment. They replaced the shocks, beefed up the rear suspension, added Sumo Springs, other fixtures and corrected issues with our SuperSteer.What an improvement. Disappointed.... dropped off for a suspension air leak, agreed to a $200 diagnostic fee, then they called to say they had found the problem, and to replace the part would cost $500+ total $800 told them to replace it. Picked up the coach, but they referred me to another shop, said they weren't trained to work on the air suspension system in this coach. Drove off, only to understand that the problem hadn't changed a bit, and I was out $800, called to complain only to get a conversational runaround! Never again will they get my business. read more

Once again, the team at Henderson's has made our 2000 Harney Renegade drive like new. Although we had installed a Safety Plus when we bought our coach, the steering on our 37' coach had become sloppy. This occurred over a period of several years, so it had become the new normal for us. When Eric took us for a road test, he remarked on this potentially dangerous condition and also gave a name to our complaint of wallowing on bad roads and dips. His analysis was confirmed when Pete removed our steering gear box and showed us the worn out spot that caused the sloppy steering, which was so tiring on long drives. We had come to Henderson's knowing we wanted to have Super Steer Motion Control Units installed and a 4 wheel alignment. We had replaced tires and shocks since the last time it had been done and we could feel a slight but constant vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. Henderson's made our coach drive like new again and their hospitality was unparalleled. They provided us with a place to park and 30 amp service during our stay and a lovely (pet friendly) waiting area with free Wi-Fi. By the time we left, Barbara and Robert knew us and our pets by name and their dog Esse had decided our laps were acceptable substitutes. Some may say the prices are high at Henderson's, but what price can you put on safety and comfort? Review long overdue...I won't put you to sleep with all the details, but if you are looking at Henderson's for improving the ride and handling of your motorhome, Stop! look no further, it's worth the drive no matter where you're located. I purchased a 2022 Winnebago Class A 29B new from the factory October 2021. Drove it home from Iowa and had that horrible experience we've all had of learning these things don't drive like a Lexus. When I got home to Salt Lake City, I immediately started researching way's to improve my ride. Two option's came to the top... Liquid Springs and Henderson's Line-up. Liquid Springs much to my wife's chagrin $$$ was my first choice. We had an appointment for install until I learned the CCC of my little 30ft coach could not handle the extra weight of the four corner system. Calls were made to Brice at Henderson's and May 2023 we pulled into Grant's Pass. We were treated like royalty and everyone was beyond courteous and professional all through the Process. Safe-T-Plus, Radius Rods, Trac Bar, KONI EVO's front and rear, alignment and a couple of specialty tweaks probably only the pro's at Henderson's would catch. I'm always a bit untrusting with dealer's and mechanic's these day's, but the skill and professionalism I found at Henderson's was calming and confident building. We even got the personal touch from the Boss's Robert & Tommy who both did the initial road test, and then stayed with us right up to the end to ensure our personal satisfaction. But the entire crew, Carol, Brice, Eric, Ben and all were amazing during our couple of days there. Why did I wait so long for this review...I mentioned I'm a bit of a sceptic. After leaving Grants Pass we headed to the Redwoods and gave HARVEY (my wife had to name our RV) a work out through all the winding roads...WOW what an improvement. After that we took a 7000 mile cross country from SLC to Maine and everything in between. No more fighting semi's, no more slow turns at intersection and onto on-ramps. No more white knuckles. Is it riding on a cloud...no, but if your unit can't handle Liquid Springs it's the best thing next to it. BTY, Henderson's does Liquid Springs also. Thanks to all at Henderson's. These guys are very good...my RV drives much better after installing shocks, safety-t-steer, an additional rear sway bar, and some Sumo springs. I kinda feel a bit overcharged (this 4/5 stars).. I was told it was $1000 to add the adjustment system to my safety steer..but it ended up being $1200 when they wrote it up. There were a couple other little things as well. I also don't recommend the $300 drive test..just not a good value in my opinion.. many places will evaluate your coach for free in hopes of selling you stuff...and you probably already know if you have issues. Labor rates are pretty high here ($138/hr)..I would recommend coming in their slow season when they offer a 10% discount. Be sure to get everything in writing and ask them to get permission before exceeding that amount. Overall I HIGHLY recommend the services and products though..and would recommend making the investment..$4600 later, my coach drives much better now. read more

Henderson's Line-Up - Put it in the air... - Auto Repair Near Me - Grants Pass, Oregon

I will start with the listing the items on the Road Performance Assessment that I felt they did NOT do. Here is the link to what they are supposed to do https://www.hendersonslineup.com/motorhome-rpa-steps Below are the steps I felt they missed and my comments below each one as well as my overall impression at the end. 2. The technician completes a Pre-Inspection Form with the Customer (This never happened. The person checking us in asked to briefly describe our issues. The technician just walked into the RV and sat down to take us out for a test drive with the form already completed.) 6. Highway driving is one road condition used to evaluate the coach. (Highway driving consisted of mostly a 45mph stretch of highway. We only briefly reached 60 miles an hour. That is NOT enough to judge drivability.) 8. Customer & Technician weigh all four corners to check for balance in weight of the coach. (While they were weighed we were sitting in the coach while this took place and were not informed of the weight until later in the day so I cannot verify the weights listed.) 9. Over 50 plus points of inspection underneath the motorhome chassis are reviewed with the customer including tire wear, steering gear, disc brake rotors and pads, shock absorbers, tie rods, idler arms, king pins, ball joints, bushings and much more. (We did NOT complete 50 points of inspection. Brake rotors and pads were not checked as an example while I was under the RV. All they did was jack up the front end and check for play in the tire while watching the suspension components. It definitely was not a comprehensive check. More of a quick visual inspection.) 11. The Technician drives the coach on the RPA once again with the customer to verify that all work has been done correctly and is completely effective. Adjustments are made if necessary to assure the job is done right. (We never drove the same route as the pre inspection. We did NOT drive any of the bumpy, curvy side roads which is were we stated most of our issues were. We only drove about 3 miles of 45 mph straight highway with traffic lights. There was NO possible way to compare to the morning drive). 12. The customer then drives the coach to experience the difference under the same road conditions, and verifies the work has been completed. There is nothing more convincing than feeling and hearing improvements over the same bumps, curves, ruts, and uneven pavement experienced in the original test drive. (I was handed the RV about 2 miles from Hendersons for my "turn" to drive. It was a straight 45 mph stretch of road with traffic lights. When I asked to drive on curvy roads like the morning drive I was directed to a 2 mile detour which had NO curves, NO bumps, nothing like the morning drive. I had no idea if the changes had much of an effect in the areas we had issues) 13. A thorough RPA diagnosis, with solutions that solve identified problems, makes for satisfied customers! (Customer - In checking out we were asked if our problems were solved. I said no but all they did was continue to check me out. No concern or questions or hey let's take another look. I was NOT as satisfied customer.) Summary: They had recommended we change out our Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer Kit with one of their Safety Plus kits. When I asked what the difference was between the Safety Plus and the Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer the only answers were (The spring in enclosed) and (it has a more precise center point). As we test drove the RV after the Safety Plus was installed we stopped twice while the technician crawled under the RV with a hammer and a wrench. They loosened the nuts and used the hammer to adjust it to "a more precise center point". A guess as to how far to move it and then more driving so they could hammer it some more to that precise center point. They also recommended a front trac bar which I agreed to. They came back later and said because I had the new type of Sumo Springs on my RV they could not mount a front trac bar. Later when talking with the technician he said they could have installed it but it would take a few hours of labor. However no one mentioned this to me, they simple said you can either remove the Sumo Springs and go with the trac bar or just stick with the Sumo Springs. No one said "Give me a minute and let me call a few suppliers to see if there is an updated trac bar that would work with the updated Sumo Springs". Everyone was friendly however as noted above they skipped many of the important steps of my Road Performance Assessment. One of the most important being letting both myself and the technician drive the same original route. How can you compare before and after when 90% of the before is missing including the most important part (i.e. the curvy, bumpy roads)? How can you check the drive on the highway when you only drive over 50 mph for 1-2 miles? We have an steering issue with our RV rental and I thought that our my daughter's birthday vacation trip was going to be a disaster. As we were driving through Oregon, we were told that Henderson's Line-Up was the place to take our RV for an inspection and, possible, alignment service. I was prepared for a large "dent" on our card but, to our surprise, the tech found that steering enhancer was out of balanced, fixed it and charged us NOTHING!!! We took our 2007 Class B RV in for evaluation because, since we bought it in 2012, it had always been squirrelly on the road; we were continually fighting to stay on the road. We had modifications at the original RV dealership and again at the Chevrolet dealership (it's on an Express van chassis) but it still required a lot of muscle to feel safe. The diagnosis received seemed to be spot on. Just after the repairs we took a 2,000 mile trip and the difference in handling was incredible. We had high winds, really rough roads, snow, hail and rain and we were really happy with the handling. If we would have taken that trip without the improvements made by Henderson, we would have considered selling the rig--truly. I had Henderson's address some brutal steering problems on my older class B RV. They were able to turn the van around in a day, and the difference in handling is huge -- it's a completely different vehicle. When I came in, I had a hard time keeping it in the lane with any kind of cross-wind. Now, I hear the wind howling over the van in bad weather and barely feel it in the wheel. I seriously feel a thousand times safer going down the road. Henderson's is a family shop, and they're really setting the bar for customer service. The guys went all-out to turn our ride around fast, and they provided pick-up/drop-off and a great discount at a nice local hotel. Costs were communicated up-front and were very reasonable. They've also go out of their way to source high-quality parts, and to support local manufacturers where possible. I had an unrelated problem with the van overheating and the transmission slipping on the way back home coming through Grant's Pass and towed my van to Henderson's for lack of a better option. While not really their specialty, they totally hooked me up. We were a half-day from home and really needed to be back that night. They took it around to a transmission and muffler shop for diagnosis for us, and even made a special trip out to the shop so that I could pick it up on a holiday weekend. I really can't say enough nice things about these guys. If you think your ride will benefit from this kind of work, just go get the RPA. It's totally worth it, and if you're riding along for the emergency lane change, bring a change of pants. There are a couple more upgrades I'd like to make over time, and they'll definitely be getting my business. read more

As we were driving to Crescent City in our RV our transmission pump monitor alarm went off on our towed car. We looked on the pump manufacturer website and found these guys. They kindly told us they would check it out. Turns out our pump was bad and they had replacement. It was 5pm and the let us stay at the shop, also plugging us in overnight. Fantastic people. Fantastic business. 2009 Winnebago View 24P with a lousy, shaky, squeaky ride. Constant steering wheel nibble. We were fed up with the RV after 30 days of ownership and 5,000 miles of driving it from Florida west to California. Researching the Internet and a few calls to RV owner friends led us to Henderson's Line Up. A 1,500 mile round trip journey from southern California to Grants Pass, Oregon, had me second-guessing my sanity. I almost cancelled, but Henderson's were super nice and told us we were welcome to show up after hours and plug into shore power and sleep in their lot. I couldn't find anybody in southern California with any reviews or recommendations that could compare to Henderson's, so we made the journey. Thank goodness we did! They test drove it with us, asked a bunch of questions, put it up on the rack, inspected everything, invited us to participate as they combed over everything underneath it. They weighed all four corners and documented everything. Eventually they sat us down with a game plan and list of everything we must fix, along with a list of nice-to-have's. No sales pressure. Matter-of-fact and honest. We elected to fix the "must fix" items, which for our RV, was relatively simple--re-balance and "true" (a machine cuts a small layer off of the tire tread to make them perfectly round). It has junky General tires on it that were brand new but had way too much run-out (not round, more like egg shaped). After truing all 6 tires, we took it for a test drive. Unbelievable! Completely different RV. We may decide to keep it now. Thank you Henderson's Line Up! We are tickled-to-death with how smooth it drives and how quiet it is without all those vibrations shaking us apart. We'll definitely be back for the "nice-to-have" items soon. Highly recommended. Having a linkage bar come loose with a dropped suspension causing my coach rear end to drop and rub on my wheel well was quite disturbing to me. but with one pleasant call to Henderson's they saw me as soon as I arrived and had it fixed and on the road again within an hour. Amazing! It needed adjustment after a short trip. They took me right in and and again had it fixed right away. In late August We had a trip planned to travel to the Grants Pass area. The ride and driving of my 2008 Safari Simba was very unpleasant. It bounced and had the Walmart wash from side to side leaving the drive way. Well I had heard a lot about Henderson's ability to fix these suspension problems and more. I decided to give the business a chance to make driving my motorhome fun instead of hair raising. Pete put the Resource Engineering suspension improvement kite on which included larger air bags,ping tank,and new shocks. While test driving we discovered a front brake problem.
