The Damage that could have only been done with a very small vehicle, like, say, a forklift they use to move the trailers around...
    Raye K.

PAID $1100 FOR "SERVICE". THEY WRECKED MY POP-UP. We brought our 2022 Forest River Rockwood Pop-Up to this location for warranty work. We also had $1100 worth of additional services done at that time. When we came to pick it up, we discovered one of the bed supports was crushed. (I figured it happened when they used a forklift to move the RV while the Beds were set up, despite all the warnings in the manual NOT to do that!) Despite "Jessica" initially agreeing to have us bring it back in, our service Rep "Julia" refused to see us. She tried to claim it was pre-existing damage, despite damage to both the frame AND the pole! (Surely their service techs would have noticed only one of the two poles on that side fits in that bracket now?! And they just "magically" knew to put those two together rather than mixing them up if it were pre-existing?!) She even trotted out the manager who kept repeating "Probably's Not Proof!" over and over again like it was somehow a magic get-out-of-jail card just because I didn't have... video evidence of them using the forklift, I guess? The stupid part? I got it repaired somewhere else for under $100. They took a customer who had already spent $1100 with them, and gaslighted me over $100 in damage. Document EVERYTHING and take pictures of your entire RV before you trust these petty people to do any work. Better yet, just go anywhere else.

The camper we purchased at LAZY DAYS in Tampa after a horrible experience at GANDER in Bartow. Thanks Bradley!
    Lauren W.

An experience so bad, I honestly don't even know where to start. After driving 10 hours to Gander in Bartow, FL to pick up the brand new camper we had placed a deposit on, we were made to wait 30-40 mins (even though we had an appointment and they'd known for a WEEK when we were coming). We had our own financing and insurance already on the camper....so we just needed to do our inspection, give them the check, and complete any additional paperwork before hooking up and heading back to NC. Upon inspection of the NEW 2021 Forest River Sabre 38DBQ (last 4 of VIN is: 7194), we found multiple factory defects and damage on the inside and out. It was clear that Gander hadn't done the inspection they were charging us $499 for on the bill of sale. The awning had never even been rolled out per admission from the service tech as damage to one of the awning arm channels that bolts to the camper was revealed. There was molding lying in the floor off the wall next to the slide, broken molding hanging loose from the ceiling, and a dark caulk that was on the floor and carpet in the bunkhouse. There was water damage and 2 soft spots by the fireplace and a screw that was raised under the linoleum in a high traffic area. There was a bulge/potential delamination at the lower corner of the bedroom slide, and 1 side of the sofa in the living room didn't work (the sofa has the vibration, heated seats, lights). 2' x 1' of the decal on the left side of the camper was, also, damaged. Heading back from inspection, we were almost ran over by a forklift driver. Shout out to the service tech that drove us to the inspection on the golf cart...his yelling was the only thing that got the fork lift driver to stop within inches of hitting the cart. One would think at this point the manager would step in.....but you'd be wrong. Our sales rep continued to try to push the sale when we told him the issues. He brought in a manager from the service department to explain how all our issues were minor and "quick fix" and that we could file a warranty claim after we completed our sale and just give him a week to fix the more intensive ones (remember we are from 10 hours away). The sales rep (Mike) offered to show us some other campers on the lot and made a point to let us know he was missing out on other business by taking more time with us. I was floored that was even verbalized since it was the sales rep and Gander that dropped the ball. We never saw the gutless sales manager even after we expressed the time had long passed for the need for the manager to come out. Mike did bring out a guy from finance as we were discussing getting our deposit back, but it was, also, in the name of trying to pressure the deal. The guy from finance was smug and completely unapologetic. We made an appointment with Lazy Days in Tampa from the waiting area at Gander during one of the periods we were left waiting. (We were at Gander from 10 am-after 3) We left Gander and drove straight to Lazy Days. During the hour drive, Bradley (our Lazy Days sales rep) let us know that he would be happy to stay later if needed since they closed at 5 so to be safe and stop and get food since we'd been dealing with Gander for so long. He listened to what we were looking for, asked very pertinent and knowledgeable questions, and started sending us models to look at online on the way. While on the phone with us, he went out on the site stepping into the models to help narrow the search down before we even got there, and he told us, "I think I just found the camper you're going to choose". When we arrived, he was prompt, every member of the Lazy Days team acknowledged/welcomed us, and he had a list of the top picks ready and waiting. We picked the second camper he took us in.....which just happened to be the one he said he thought we were going to pick. Finance stayed late to help us (since it was a Saturday after closing time). Bradley and the Lazy Days staff anticipated every need/question we were going to have. The attention to detail was such a marvel and contrast after the experience earlier in the day at Gander. If you're looking for bend-over-backwards service, respect, and professionalism, just save yourself the time and headache and just START at Lazy Days. We wasted a lot of time and close to $1000 worth of fuel and hotel rooms dealing with Gander. Pictured is the RV we bought at Lazy Days from Bradley less than 2 hours after we pulled out of Gander's parking lot.

Everybody else is like $10 up on line of 3-7 in some stores. I only bought 2 for now. Still need to test it for later. I been buying my camping kit little by little now that im getting my body back in shape. Want to do some primitive camping but i think ill do the regular one for now until i trust my body to do this in nowhere. Did not know we got camp for free or under 10$ buck a night in primitive camping. Bro i been bummed out for nothing! Got a small mess kit thay will fit a small to medium backpack. Doesnt weight anything. Its perfect. Grabbed a rod holder im just going to tie on a tree or dock. Before leaving i hunted down a new pair of shoes. The mayority i own for adevnture and exploring are too heavy gor my medical nightmare. Francheska was amazing and help me out looking for good deals and perfect shoes. Walked out with a rugged crisscross type. Needed something light, durable and that held my ankle in place. I think they are Cabelas brand ones they were like $35 discounted. Lets say free cuz it finally happened. I used all my member points today lol killed most of my things. Then on the way out i donated to the Boy scouts of America. I was talking with the madam there that its crazy the Girls scouts got like cookies n cakes but the boys got popcorn? It make me crabby! They need jerky and rootbeer! We need like a health brand to make them like protein bars or something like that. Overall i had fun and survived not over buying, they got a crap ton of camping food at buy 2 get 1 free. But i fixed that by buying a dehydrator many years ago. If i had a freeze dryer? I would never need to buy anything in storm season and beyond. Easy camp food: make soups and stews. Then pour into dehydrator or high wall cookie pan and shove in oven as 176-245 degrees. Peel off the dried soup and shove into a zip lock or vacuum seal bag with a humidity packet. U can keep frozen without the packet for long time but these last perfectly for camping. Just add warm water and it rehydrates. Too much work? Then buy the specials its good. They usually 12$+ each bag feeds like two people or give you two meals. Which you can just open and reseal in smaller bags that way they last way longer n you camp longer. I think ill wait for fall to camp i want to take my iesel out and paint the beautiful yellow leaves. Maybe someone will trade me a watercolor for a beer lol

After receiving terrible service at a local shop in Gainesville, my boyfriend (who was buying this for me as a birthday present) and I came here. Upon walking into that section they really only have compound bows for bowhunting on display and some very expensive all wood recurves hanging behind the counter. There were plenty of people behind the counter though, and one man asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were looking for and that I was a novice archer who had last shot about 6 years ago. He promptly pulled a box out from underneath the counter, told us the price and asked if it was in our range. We said yes and he began putting it together for us. After he had put it together and showed me how it was done, he had me draw it. I said it was fine and more than I shot in High School, which is what I'm looking for since my archery teacher was always pushing me to try a stronger resistance. He then showed me a product called a "whisker biscuit" (I know, sounds lewd right?), which is basically a special attachment to help with nocking the arrow. It holds the arrow in place, meaning it won't fall out mid-release...which I agree is a good idea to have for a novice...especially since this has happened to me! So he attached that on for us. I asked him about a sight and he led us over to where they sell them and selected one to recommend at my re quest of a reasonably priced one. He picked one out and I looked at it, and really liked it! Fiber optic sight with several different pins to mark different distances so there is no need for adjustment once you set them. After attaching everything we had picked out he asked if we need it taken back apart and we did so he obliged. He let us know there was a sale on some arrows and we picked them up as well; he cut them to the proper size and then we were ready to check out! I know it kind of sounds like he was trying to upsell me on a lot of things, but he did listen to our concerns about price and we knew exactly what we were buying. When recommending a product he told us exactly what it was and why it was a good idea, but never said it was a necessity. At any time we could have requested something cheaper or different and I'm sure he would have obliged us with no problem. Great experience, excellent service. Will definitely come back if I need anything. I'm just sad they're in Orlando and not Gainesville :(

As an avid adventurer of the western US, I tend to visit outdoor stores wherever I travel to see what their idea of adventure is there and take the chance to upgrade gear that's frustrating to use or worn out over time. I've visited Bill Jackson's on two separate occasions now, heading in each time with about $500 worth of gear in mind to shop for. The first time I came, I got great help from multiple associates and planned to purchase gear off of their advise, but witnessed a confrontation between management and an associate that I recall as mild but disruptive enough it made me leave the store without buying anything. I didn't come back for about 8 months. Now I'm back in town for a few weeks of work before heading on a 2,700 mile bikepacking journey and really needed to grab a few items I hoped they'd have in stock. Being interesting in all outdoor activities, I started talking with an associate about the ski shop they were building the last time I was here. He keyed in that I had ski knowledge from my time tuning skis and custom fitting ski boots out west and started talking to me about part time work as they expected to need some extra hands with ski knowledge and took me to show me their ski selection. To get there, we had to walk through an area that he explained was sectioned off for an upcoming sale, so not yet available, but the necessary route to the still-open ski shop. He made a pretty good case for their ski shop and my wheels were turning about coming to help them out in the fall. On our way back through the sale area, I asked a question about the items we were walking past and the associate was very clear that those items were not available for sale until the official sale start date, but took the opportunity to educate me about them(I knew very little about diving equipment but am curious to learn). I was quickly convinced that a decent snorkeling kit was necessary equipment to enjoy the area and decided I'd get a setup. Before he got a chance to redirect me to where the currently available snorkeling gear was(I could tell it was coming, this area was also tiny compared to the sale area), an angry manager/owner appeared ready to tear apart the kind and helpful associate that had just taught me what I needed to know to spend an extra couple hundred dollars on top of the items I was already planning. I hurriedly left the area while she continued to holler at me and once I passed the threshold of that room I heard her resume berating the associate in anger. I walked myself over to the full price scuba stuff and found another helpful associate, but I could not bring myself to buy anything from this store after that experience. It was not unreasonable for her to ask us to move along since we had stopped in a place we were meant to pass through, but she was incredibly rude to the associate for going above and beyond to take care of an enthusiastic customer. I won't spend money here, that manager is the most unkind person I've encountered since I've been in Tampa. In a town of incredibly kind people, there is no place for that. Very sad, I really wanted to like this store. The associates seem to be knowledgeable and passionate about the outdoors, but they don't deserve to be treated that way.

Upon completing the transaction with the customer the cashier calls me up to his station by saying "What's up, what do you want". I was surprised by how the cashier addressed me, normally a professional business summons a customer to a cash register by saying "how can I help you?" My experience got even worse after approaching the cashier to inquire about the product I was looking for. The cashier didn't bother to check if the store carried the item and flat out said "bro buy something else bigger because we probably don't carry something to fit something that small". If the cashier couldn't leave his cashier station instead of telling a customer what a business "probably" does carry, he could have called over another store associate to verify if the store carried the item. After dealing with the cashier I left shooter's world and was able to purchase what I was looking from another vendor. I will not be visiting this business again. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting experience turned into nearly two months of frustration involving service, communication, follow-up, and warranty repairs. From the beginning, there were several issues with the RV, including missing parts, an exterior crack, awning/LED lighting problems, a bathroom leak, a drawer issue, front grille damage, electrical concerns, the Blue Ox braking setup, and a missing table leg. Many of these concerns had been discussed before we dropped the RV off for service on June 20, 2026. However, when we arrived, several of the items we had previously reported were not even documented. Theresa in Service deserves recognition for coming outside with us, going through the RV, marking the problems that needed attention, and trying to help get the repair process organized. She also provided us with some status information during the process. Unfortunately, the overall communication from the dealership was inconsistent, and we repeatedly had to initiate calls ourselves to find out what was happening with our RV. Our experience with Vivian was particularly frustrating. There were multiple occasions when we were told she would call us back with information and the follow-up simply did not happen. The missing table leg was supposedly going to be mailed to us before a trip but never arrived. Later, we were waiting for updates concerning the repairs and LED light, and again we often had to call Camping World ourselves. One evening Vivian did call after 9:00 p.m. to tell us she had not forgotten about us, but by that point the communication problems had already gone on far too long. Rob, who originally helped us with the RV purchase, became involved after I repeatedly tried to reach management. I explained the lack of communication and how long our RV had been sitting there. To Rob's credit, he went to service, gathered information, and called me back. That was the type of follow-through we had been asking for throughout the process. When we finally returned on August 3 to pick up the RV, Johnathan (Jon) worked with us on the remaining issues and helped get the RV brought up so it could be looked at despite the rain. Jon continued to communicate with us afterward regarding the outstanding LED light and worked with the Ocala location to try to arrange mobile service. I appreciate Jon continuing to work the issue instead of simply considering it finished once we drove off the lot. We also finally met with General Manager Christopher Mileski. He was cordial and told us he had his top people working on the situation and that they would do what they could to get us taken care of. However, after everything we had experienced, we left that conversation feeling that our concerns were being heard but not necessarily taken as seriously as we had hoped. As a customer, especially after purchasing a brand-new RV, I would expect management to be much more engaged when a warranty repair situation has dragged on for this long. I also want to recognize the technicians who helped us toward the end of the process. Matt came out and worked on the Blue Ox braking system, tightened the brake cables, addressed the cords, and was pleasant and easy to work with. Ultimately, the Ocala mobile service team helped bring this ordeal to a close. Sydney coordinated with us, and their service was outstanding. They deserve kudos for stepping in and helping complete what was still outstanding. The biggest issue with Camping World Dover was not simply that our new RV needed warranty work. Mechanical and manufacturing problems happen. The biggest problem was communication and ownership. Customers should not have to repeatedly call for updates, chase promised return calls, or wonder for weeks what is happening with a brand-new RV sitting at the dealership. From June 20 until August 22, we dealt with this repair process for approximately two months before finally getting everything to the point where we could move forward. There were good people involved--including Theresa, Rob, and Johnathan (Jon)--who did try to help, but the overall experience with sales, service, communication, and management was far below what I expected from Camping World. I sincerely hope GM Christopher Mileski reviews how warranty repairs and customer communication are being handled at the Dover location. A simple system of regular customer updates and greater accountability for promised callbacks would have made this experience dramatically better. A brand-new RV purchase should leave a customer excited to travel--not exhausted from trying to get phone calls returned.
