I can't say that I have a need to visit Bass Pro Shops often, but I recently went for a visit to find a Christmas gift for my dad. I was impressed by the selection of fun unique gifts for both adults and children. I had my toddler with me and he thought it was basically an amusement park in there. He loved looking at the fishies in the large aquarium tank. This particular location is not as impressive as other Bass Pros I've been to, nor did I experience any helpful staff. I was also approached by a salesman for Hilton Grand Vacations (I guess this is a new partnership with BPS) trying to sell me hard on a vacation package lol. I think by the 3rd "NO" he got the hint. But I did discover the best kept holiday secret for parents EVER... This time of year they have a Santa's Wonderland experience set up including a little workshop/craft area for the kiddos, plus photos with Santa. The best part is that there was zero line for Santa pics and your visit includes a FREE 4x6 photo and shareable video. What a steal! You can book a reservation online, but as I mentioned there was not any line when we were there around 4:30pm on a Sunday. I'm glad I discovered that they offer this and will definitely keep it in mind for the future. read more

Basing this off of the Santa picture experience only! We honestly love coming to Bass Pro shops at Christmastime because it's the best Santa experience that we've been able to find in town. It's free and you get a 4 x 6. You can upgrade your package, but you'll get the 4 x 6 to take home for free. This year the Santa was so friendly and took care of my two-year-old who is too scared to sit on his lap. He offered several suggestions of different ways to sit and finally we were able to get a picture where he was looking. My husband was so happy! (Haha) We have fun every year and we think that it's a really great experience for families who are looking for a photo with Santa and also a free 4 x 6 to take home. We found where Easter Bunny pics are and they have it in a nice area, and it's very organized. They also let us take time to take pics with our cell. I come to Bass Pro actually a lot to look around at all the camping gear and just clothes in general. Today I came because it's the Holiday season and they are doing FREE 4 x 6 santa photo! Of course I brought my son today and it was a great experience! I made a reservation online for 3:30pm and went in stood in line and got our picture! After seeing Santa they had a whole kid section where you can write a letter to Santa and send it to the North Pole! They had shooting games and log building activities! Bass Pro is definitely a wonderful store when looking for outdoor products. Everytime I come I always walk around for about an hour looking at everything! We came here recently to see santa in their Christmas workshop. We love coming here every year for a free printed photo with Santa. They also have a cool workshop with free activities for children. It certainly gives the perfect opportunity to buy stuff you didn't plan on buying haha. They sale everything outdoors including boats, fishing poles, guns and lots of outer wear. They even have toys and random Knick knacks great for gifts. It's a pretty big store. Similar to LL bean in every way. They even have a cafe in the middle and a huge fish tank full of fish. The employees are very nice and there is never a long line while checking out. Parking is plenty outside. read more

This was the very first and last time I will ever walk into a Bass Pro Shops!! I bought my first boat from these people on 8-7-25. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A BOAT FROM BASS PRO!!! (Especially your first one!!) Go to ANY other dealer! From the first time I spoke to the boat salesperson (who was about 73) I knew I was being lied to at every turn. Consistently telling me how great of a price I was getting. To the point where I had to tell her to stop, because I'm not stupid and I have the INTERNET TOO!! I told her your prices are FAIR AT BEST. I found 5 boats priced better with the same equipment, just not in my state. Then, once the boat was in service to be detailed and prepped for delivery, I'm informed of ALL the scuffs in the fiberglass, the rip in the seat, the deep scratches in the top of the outboard cowling, the rust in the trailer, the bow fishing seat seat that won't come out (after I got the boat home) Try putting a cover on when the seat won't unscrew and you have to stretch the cover over the seat. Probably ruining the cover as I type this review. I could tell you more and more about this experience and how dysfunctional the staff and team at this location is, but what's the point? You'll probably shop there anyway because they will dazzle you with there atmosphere. But for me...I'd rather shop at Walmart or any other business that can outfit my hobbies. I won't buy a fishing hook from Bass Pro shops in the future. Not to mention...Amazon's prices are about 8-12% cheaper on everything I compared. Go to bass pro to look and touch. I mean why would you not give Bass Pro Shops 5 Stars?? located at the beginning of International Drive. As I was getting acquainted to where I lived, I noticed a really cool Bike Trail, and an even cooler Bass Pro Shop right behind it. This is such an unique building with A LOT of cool stuff inside like giant animals, almost like being in the Natural History Museum in New York City. They even have a giant BEAR when you enter, which is cool, because I am always a proud supporter of the bears. There is a variety of shops inside if you like Fishing, Hiking, Archery, and that Boy Scouts of America sort of thing. I feel like in each department I go in that store, I earn my next Boy Scout Badge. I do LOVE the area in the middle of the Log Cabin to get some unique hot sauces, bbqs, and rubs!!! All of the pocket knives offer different options, sizes and more. I needed and received personalized service to accomplish my goal. Santa's Wonderland was in full swing while I visited. My daughter and I brought my grandson shopping so we stopped by to enjoy the holiday festivities. There were tables set up with printed Christmas trees to color, gaming tables and activities. The only Bass Pro shop my husband and I had gone to before this trip was to the one in the Keys. Since he is a huge fan of Guy Harvey shirts and other outdoorsy related shirts, we decided to check it out on a recent visit to Orlando. This place is awesome! It is huge. If you are in the market for any outdoor items for any hobby, guarantee you can find it here. We looked at everything, even at stuff we didn't need (kayaks, fishing gear, camping gear, grilling related products, etc.) By the way, there is a snack shop in the middle of the store, and one outside by the exit. I take it they expect you to be there a while! We did not visit the snack shops. We did end up getting some t-shirts for my husband, some fold up camp stools that can be used for concerts, tailgating and more, and a doormat for my mom (it was cute.) read more

So I'm looking for a pontoon boat and their inventory is limited I ask about any specials or a small pontoon boat and he responds "There are no deals" he proceeded to tell me how he sold 3 million dollars worth of boats and they don,t work on commission and made me feel like I didn't matter. On November 1, 2024 I ordered a gun package from Cabela's Bass Pro Shop. The package came with a Survivor Gun Carrying case. I picked it up November 11, 2024. At the time I picked it up the weapon, the case zipper was broke. The Store representative stated the store would order a new case. I accepted that promise and took the weapon. I have been back to the store several times. I have called Cabela's online several times. You guess it, I still don't have a carrying case for my AR, like I want to walk out in public or travel with and open assault weapon. As of January 5, almost two months later, I just keep getting the run around. Talk about customer service SUCKs, yep. Caveat Emptor, applies to these big chain operators, they don't give a crap once they have your money. Whatever happened to giving people what they paid for? Its not that this was a cheap purchase. Tyler sold my husband the wrong gun. He picked one out from the case, was sold a different gun than the one he picked. Noticed less than 24hrs later when buying accessories. Now they will only buy the gun back as a "used" gun...which knocks a couple hundred off its value. What a joke. I would like to have given it a solid 4 but my experience was awful. There is a third party travel club inside the store with high pressure sales. Every time we walked by someone new would come out and try to get us to buy in, I was nice at first saying no thank you and trying not to be rude and just walk away but they just didn't get it. The third time I walked by I just ignored the guy and he got downright rude to me. If you decide to go for anything walk around the outside of the store to avoid these nasty people. We asked 3 people in uniform, where to find fishing waders and could not get a straight answer other than "I'm not sure. Maybe over there". Once we found the stock of items, a sales associate in the assigned section, stated "I'm not sure about any of this stuff. You'll have to dig around to see what you can find". Ladies, if you ever want to make your man happy, just bring him to Bass Pro Shop with a $150 gift card. This place is fantastic and has everything a guy would want, whether he is into fishing, hunting, or even just snacks. I mostly came here to check out their gun selection and I was quite pleased. They have a wide selection of firearms ranging from handguns, shotguns, to rifles with brands like Browning, HK, Walther, Taurus, Glock, Benelli, and much more. The only drawback is that the gun section is always busy and you have to take a number before you get service. While waiting though there is always something to drool at the glass gun counter. Inside there is lots to do, surprisingly. Kids can spend a little time admiring the large fish tank filled with cat fish, trout, long nose gar, and more. They could also go to the shooting gallery where they can insert $0.50 to play a game where you shoot interactive targets using a laser shotgun. I'm not a huge outdoorsman, although before I moved to the surface of the sun (AKA Orlando) I was much more-so of one. There is an old joke about "if we don't have it, you don't need it" and I would bet that applies at Bass Pro Shops. This place is massive and has anything I could imagine you would ever need for outdoor activities. It is neat that they have tons of stuff on display for you to try. My cousin refers to this place as "Hillbilly Heaven" and since he's a confirmed hillbilly, I'd say that's fairly accurate. They sell a lot of fishing supplies, guns & hunting supplies, bows, knives, camping gear, travel gear, etc. This place is so massive that you could probably list what they DON'T sell easier than what they do. In light of recent hurricanes, my wife and I each made Go Bags (AKA Bug Out Bags) with 3-days worth of "we have to flee town" supplies and upgraded our home's hurricane kit to be a lot more comprehensive. We have a friend who is a survival instructor and he was kind enough to help us assemble both. The reason I mention that is because BPS was an excellent place to purchase some of those items. He walked around the store with us and showed us the differences between some of the tools he was recommending. BPS was great because they sell a wide variety of options for most items. We loved being able to see what he was talking about. Now, you may not have a personal instructor like we did, but I'd make a strong bet that the folks that work here might could give you some of the same feedback. This store had it all. read more

I went to pick it up 2 days later only to be told that the item had been shipped from west Virginia......I ask why it would be shipped in when they have 5 in stock, the clerk checked and confirmed it was in fact in stock. After a long ordeal with the store and the call center I will now be waiting 7 to 10 days for my item that I could have walked in and picked up myself.....so much for customer service. Traffic was so bad I needed a non-alcholic diversion for 45 minutes. This stop was an easy fix for that need. Their HUGE aquarium is simply incredible to just take in and watch for a couple minutes. Not you usual aquarium bio-livestock either, which adds to the uniqueness of it all. The store is so well stocked in so many different departments. I ended up getting a rain pair of Costas since my Serengeti's bit the dirt. What a fine selection of both glass and plastic lenses and frames. Better inventory than their website in having brown glass lenses in a brown frame. Costa doesn't even bother with that simple match up in all of their on line inventory. Has to be ordered. Friendly and helpful counter help. Almost weakened to buy some Maple nut Goodies and burnt peanuts knowing there are only a few places with this kind of snack stuff. read more

Purchased well over $200+ worth of merchandise BUT while trying to purchase sandals I had to ask 2 people to get someone to help us. Honestly if my husband didn't need this particular type shoe/sandal that he hasnt been able to find anywhere I would've walked out and not purchased anything!!
