Had the best experience with the firearm staff at orlando bass pro shop. First if you know Glocks are being discounted Nov 30th and they are not gouging the prices or hoarding them. Staff was very helpful and patient with me. Appreciate you guys!

Making the line to see Santa. Our baby girl is too excited

*Review is only for their Santa Wonderland service* This is really a great opportunity... You schedule your time slot to meet Santa Clause online, you show up at your selected time, you check in, and within 10-15 mins, you get 2 minutes with Santa for free! Not only are you able to take your own pictures, but Bass Pro Shops prints out a free 4x6 picture of your encounter and even send you a digital copy of it via email. You also get a short video clip to send to family. All in all, it is very organized, easy to schedule and free! What more can you ask for? Staff was polite and understanding with my scared toddler and did not rush us (honestly, my toddler was so excited until she saw him up close and then was spooked). Toddler did not seem happy in the pic, but for a free experience, no harm, no foul! Very thankful for this service!!

I come to Bass Pro actually a lot to look around at all the camping gear and just clothes in general. Today I came because it's the Holiday season and they are doing FREE 4 x 6 santa photo! Of course I brought my son today and it was a great experience! I made a reservation online for 3:30pm and went in stood in line and got our picture! After seeing Santa they had a whole kid section where you can write a letter to Santa and send it to the North Pole! They had shooting games and log building activities! Bass Pro is definitely a wonderful store when looking for outdoor products. Everytime I come I always walk around for about an hour looking at everything! You can literally get everything here from a boat to fresh fudge!

KUDOS and thank you very much to Angela, Jasmine, Andy, David, Meghan, and Amanda for providing supreme quality customer service at the Bass Pro Shop! Be sure to enroll in the Bass Pro Shop Club at customer service to receive two free gifts! The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help!

Great shop, weird staff. they try so hard for you to get into their Hilton Grand Vacations. Using the SAME LINE on everyone and when people say no, they continue to try to convince you. Four members were positioned at the Hilton Grand Vacations area, trying so hard to get people to come over. From what I know, it's awful and a lot of people want out.

    LOVE this logo and packaging

Came looking for alligator jerky as a souvenir but left with a few things off the clearance rack and some spices. If you're into camping, hiking, etc it's a great spot to stop. Plus...I don't see a lot of sporting goods in the area overall. Where does everyone shop in Central FL?!

We came here recently to see santa in their Christmas workshop. We love coming here every year for a free printed photo with Santa. They also have a cool workshop with free activities for children. It certainly gives the perfect opportunity to buy stuff you didn't plan on buying haha. They sale everything outdoors including boats, fishing poles, guns and lots of outer wear. They even have toys and random Knick knacks great for gifts. It's a pretty big store. Similar to LL bean in every way. They even have a cafe in the middle and a huge fish tank full of fish. The employees are very nice and there is never a long line while checking out. Parking is plenty outside.

Went in looking for a gun safe and was discouraged by the garbage that's for sale now. Crazy cheap made safes for those prices are nuts. It isn't Bass Pro's fault to be honest it's just the way there made now. I passed on the safe but I did get some metal ammo cans that were on a sale. Some shirts and a hat. They did seem understaffed but I was there early in the morning right after they opened

I mean why would you not give Bass Pro Shops 5 Stars?? located at the beginning of International Drive. As I was getting acquainted to where I lived, I noticed a really cool Bike Trail, and an even cooler Bass Pro Shop right behind it. This is such an unique building with A LOT of cool stuff inside like giant animals, almost like being in the Natural History Museum in New York City. They even have a giant BEAR when you enter, which is cool, because I am always a proud supporter of the bears. There is a variety of shops inside if you like Fishing, Hiking, Archery, and that Boy Scouts of America sort of thing. I feel like in each department I go in that store, I earn my next Boy Scout Badge. I do LOVE the area in the middle of the Log Cabin to get some unique hot sauces, bbqs, and rubs!!! Overall- Great for Every Outdoor Need, Awesome HUGE Christmas Tree, and those cool Animals Everywhere.

"It's moving but doesn't have fur, legs, or a cotton tail, what am I suppose to do with it?"

Overall: Good experience with friendly staff that gave my furry kid allot of attention. Plenty of selection and stock choices. Service: 4 stars- nobody asked if I needed assistance but when I asked, they were super helpful and friendly. Of course Amos (furry kid) got allot of attention. Cashier was speedy and out we went. Environment: 4 stars- All aisles were clean and unobstructed with plenty of elbow room. Stock items were neatly shelved or hung from racks. Bathrooms were doable.

However, it's only $10 now that I have my own life jacket (saving me additional cost of $5 to use one of theirs, as required). Well worth the low cost for some soul-enriching, communing with nature. I have never made a reservation. I normally arrive around 10:30, most recently on a Friday. Parked for free on Baptist Camp Rd. Just a bit of a walk from there with my inflated paddleboard, but I don't mind the extra exercise. You can unload your stuff closer, if preferable. There are port-a-potties available. You can count on there being a line in the check-in office. Various recreation supplies are available there for purchase. The process moves reasonably enough. A reservation will guarantee your entrance, however, and possibly aide quicker personal info collection. I always plan to do the Emerald Cut in roughly 3 hours round-trip, allowing myself several stops to enjoy the surroundings. You do run into (quite literally at times) novice paddlers along the way, which can be a bit tricky, yet not a real nuisance for me. In general, there's friendliness along the waterway. Slighty rowdy, party vibes in some spots, but also opportunities for solace and zen in various nooks. Encountering wildlife, fragrant elderberry, and other captivating flora along this stretch is always gratifying. It's a popular recreation destination for good reason.

My Hubby and I love kayaking, so we booked an excursion months in advance for Rock Springs through TripAdvisor. Our Tour Operator was Get Up And Go Kayaking located at Kings Landing in Apopka, FL. I LOVE saying Apopka ;) The good news: Apopka is a quick 1 hour drive from Orlando. Make sure you don't miss the turn to King's Landing, because the entrance is located on a narrow dirt road. You must drive past Kelly Park (which fills up fast). There is a Park Ranger located here who will guide you to King's Landing. As you get closer and if you see a parking spot, grab it! Check in is located in the Cabin like office where you will have to sign a waiver. If you do not want to take a clear bottom, guided Kayak tour, you can either rent or BYO Kayak versus taking a semi private, clear, guided kayak tour. NOTE: ONLY use their Sunscreen/lotion which is provided at no cost. It protects the wildlife and the Springs. We wanted the full experience as we have previously enjoyed renting clear Kayaks. Our guide for the morning was: Megan, who was fantastic! Full of energy, information and helpful tidbits about the Springs and its human and wildlife inhabitants. Our group was small and capped at 10. We paddled through both narrow and open stretches, and stopped to swim in the warm, crystal-clear water. One highlight was a banyan tree with an 8-foot natural "jump hole"--such a cool experience! It was a serene, memorable day, and fun fact: this is the very spring featured in the Visit Orlando commercials! Yeah, definitely take a day away from crowded Orlando to relax and enjoy Mother Nature! You will Thank Me ;)

In general, it's best to wear pants, long sleeves, a hat (personally), nothing low cut, and of course closed toe shoes. They have sales all the time on guns and ammo, though I wouldn't personally suggest buying those things here - come here for the range but in my opinion buy your guns and things elsewhere because they do tend to be pricier than others. This is a review for their archery department…read more I decided recently that I wanted to get back into archery (which for me means traditional target shooting with a recurve bow). After receiving terrible service at a local shop in Gainesville, my boyfriend (who was buying this for me as a birthday present) and I came here. Upon walking into that section they really only have compound bows for bowhunting on display and some very expensive all wood recurves hanging behind the counter. There were plenty of people behind the counter though, and one man asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were looking for and that I was a novice archer who had last shot about 6 years ago. He promptly pulled a box out from underneath the counter, told us the price and asked if it was in our range. We said yes and he began putting it together for us. After he had put it together and showed me how it was done, he had me draw it. I said it was fine and more than I shot in High School, which is what I'm looking for since my archery teacher was always pushing me to try a stronger resistance. He then showed me a product called a "whisker biscuit" (I know, sounds lewd right?), which is basically a special attachment to help with nocking the arrow. It holds the arrow in place, meaning it won't fall out mid-release...which I agree is a good idea to have for a novice...especially since this has happened to me! So he attached that on for us. I asked him about a sight and he led us over to where they sell them and selected one to recommend at my re quest of a reasonably priced one. He picked one out and I looked at it, and really liked it! Fiber optic sight with several different pins to mark different distances so there is no need for adjustment once you set them. After attaching everything we had picked out he asked if we need it taken back apart and we did so he obliged. He let us know there was a sale on some arrows and we picked them up as well; he cut them to the proper size and then we were ready to check out! I know it kind of sounds like he was trying to upsell me on a lot of things, but he did listen to our concerns about price and we knew exactly what we were buying. When recommending a product he told us exactly what it was and why it was a good idea, but never said it was a necessity. At any time we could have requested something cheaper or different and I'm sure he would have obliged us with no problem. Great experience, excellent service. Will definitely come back if I need anything. I'm just sad they're in Orlando and not Gainesville :(
