Store is organized by outdoor activities--fishing, hunting, camping, etc I especially love the foods section that includes chili kits, rubs, jerky and sauces. A downside is often the absence of shelf pricing. I've left many things behind due to this. Lots of wonderful clothing, especially for cold weather--thermals, fleeces, fllannels. Has outdoor appliances like dehydrators, grills, tools. Even has a toys section. Saw some great sales today $15 fleece jackets, 25% off lots of clothing, etc. Certainly worth a gander for everyone.

This is a review for their archery department…read more I decided recently that I wanted to get back into archery (which for me means traditional target shooting with a recurve bow). After receiving terrible service at a local shop in Gainesville, my boyfriend (who was buying this for me as a birthday present) and I came here. Upon walking into that section they really only have compound bows for bowhunting on display and some very expensive all wood recurves hanging behind the counter. There were plenty of people behind the counter though, and one man asked if we needed any help. We told him what we were looking for and that I was a novice archer who had last shot about 6 years ago. He promptly pulled a box out from underneath the counter, told us the price and asked if it was in our range. We said yes and he began putting it together for us. After he had put it together and showed me how it was done, he had me draw it. I said it was fine and more than I shot in High School, which is what I'm looking for since my archery teacher was always pushing me to try a stronger resistance. He then showed me a product called a "whisker biscuit" (I know, sounds lewd right?), which is basically a special attachment to help with nocking the arrow. It holds the arrow in place, meaning it won't fall out mid-release...which I agree is a good idea to have for a novice...especially since this has happened to me! So he attached that on for us. I asked him about a sight and he led us over to where they sell them and selected one to recommend at my re quest of a reasonably priced one. He picked one out and I looked at it, and really liked it! Fiber optic sight with several different pins to mark different distances so there is no need for adjustment once you set them. After attaching everything we had picked out he asked if we need it taken back apart and we did so he obliged. He let us know there was a sale on some arrows and we picked them up as well; he cut them to the proper size and then we were ready to check out! I know it kind of sounds like he was trying to upsell me on a lot of things, but he did listen to our concerns about price and we knew exactly what we were buying. When recommending a product he told us exactly what it was and why it was a good idea, but never said it was a necessity. At any time we could have requested something cheaper or different and I'm sure he would have obliged us with no problem. Great experience, excellent service. Will definitely come back if I need anything. I'm just sad they're in Orlando and not Gainesville :(

It's free and you get a 4 x 6. You can upgrade your package, but you'll get the 4 x 6 to take home for free. This year the Santa was so friendly and took care of my two-year-old who is too scared to sit on his lap. He offered several suggestions of different ways to sit and finally we were able to get a picture where he was looking. My husband was so happy! (Haha) We have fun every year and we think that it's a really great experience for families who are looking for a photo with Santa and also a free 4 x 6 to take home. Pro tip you can book your spot online but there's also walk-ins if you have time to wait.

I was impressed by the selection of fun unique gifts for both adults and children. I had my toddler with me and he thought it was basically an amusement park in there. He loved looking at the fishies in the large aquarium tank. This particular location is not as impressive as other Bass Pros I've been to, nor did I experience any helpful staff. I was also approached by a salesman for Hilton Grand Vacations (I guess this is a new partnership with BPS) trying to sell me hard on a vacation package lol. I think by the 3rd "NO" he got the hint. But I did discover the best kept holiday secret for parents EVER... This time of year they have a Santa's Wonderland experience set up including a little workshop/craft area for the kiddos, plus photos with Santa. The best part is that there was zero line for Santa pics and your visit includes a FREE 4x6 photo and shareable video. What a steal! You can book a reservation online, but as I mentioned there was not any line when we were there around 4:30pm on a Sunday. I'm glad I discovered that they offer this and will definitely keep it in mind for the future.

This family-owned business consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They offer a fantastic selection of outdoor gear, men's and women's clothing, and an impressive variety of shoes for hiking, running, walking, and more. They also have an outlet store on Ronald Reagan. I have not been there yet, but I can tell you that they have a lot of name brands, highly discounted, and right now the Hoka Speed Goat 5s are on sale for an awesome price. A special shoutout to Rambo, a very knowledgeable young man and an Eagle Scout, who went out of his way to help me find the perfect hiking shoes. I was torn between the Hoka Speed Goats and Topos, but thanks to Rambo's expertise, I ultimately chose the Topos. They even brought several pairs of the Hokas over from their outlet location to the main store for me to make a decision, which was amazing. I highly recommend Travel Country for all your outdoor needs!

This business has operated since 1971, and it sells clothing, outerwear, footwear, outdoor gear (e.g., backpacks, kayaks, and tents), etcetera. According to Google, Travel Country Outfitters had a particular jacket in stock at the lowest price--The North Face Venture 2 Jacket for $60 plus ground shipping for $10. The next day, this business shipped my package. Three days later, UPS delivered the package to my home. I really like the style, color, and quality of the jacket, and I look forward to wearing it. Travel Country Outfitters does not sell all of the brands and styles that I prefer, but I would definitely consider buying from them again in the future.

Her knowledge was impressive, but what stood out most was her attention to fit -- she evaluated width, length, and even recommended going up half a size based on the shoe's construction and the demands of long hikes. She doesn't work on commission. She simply cares about getting it right. Sadie is exactly the kind of professional who keeps us coming back to REI.

In a recent time I finally decided I would invest in som hiking shoes, so it was really nice to have help from an employee when I chose several pairs, and then she brought out and extra pair that she said are more comfortable, and well I ended up purchasing that extra pair, thanks to her thoughtfulness. They have just about everything you need here for your backpacking, camping or hiking trip. But it can certainly get spendy. It's all the super high quality brands here so the price does not budge. There's a few sales here and there but that's why I wouldn't shop here so often. But once in a while it's nice and even to get inspiration for outdoors adventures. Something else cool about REI is they offer classes to members & nonmembers to teach you about backpacking, survival tips, and how to prepare for certain trips. I'm taking a free class for how to prepare for summiting Mount Everest Base Camp, how cool!

Had some deals, but we were not at all impressed with the staff today at the front counter. While we waited in line, 3 employees were arguing with each other in full view of the customers, something about some coupon on an iPhone I could tell one girl was getting really upset. The whole time there was a small line of customers waiting to check out. Whatever - eventually the one girl walks away, clearly flustered. We proceed to check out. The girl wearing the cowboy hat asks us very fast "cash or card" like hurry the hell up. "Card" we reply. She then just angrily points at the counter for us to place our items to buy. She rings us up like a robot, clearly pissed at something. Then she takes the same iPhone from the argument earlier and shoves it in my wife's face. "Email!" she says. My wife asks why do you need my email? "You won't get a receipt without it" That's fine, we are 3K miles from home, we like what we bought and we certainly aren't returning it. Also we can read the 50 signs spread out throughout the store "ALL SALES FINAL - NO RETURNS" and we are totally fine with that, no problem. Wife says, no thanks I don't want to put my email in you guys probably already have it anyways", her: "you won't get 10% off, 15% off, you get no receipt!" Really? Since when? That attitude and pure disdain displayed to us clearly shows she hates her job. I get it, people have rough days, but after witnessing how she treated her fellow employee in front of customers and the rudeness displayed to us, I felt the need to write this review. Not an asset or good ambassador for our beloved hometown Nike. Do better, Just do it. Terrible customer service.
