The ultimate tourist Shop! Okay, normally I loathe all the tourist shops with their stupid shirts and outrageous hats. HOWEVER. Bargain world is not all that bad. They have some pretty good merchandise, from all the differnt parks, and they get extra points for me for selling Marvel Zombies merch. at a huge discount! The Good: Cheaper than the park!: Need a Disney World backpack for less than $50 at the park? This place has some nice ones for $20-$20. Need a Wet N' Wild Bathing Suit? They got those too. And these aren't the really cheap knockoffs at jacked up prices. No these are the good ones at cheap prices. Yay! Lots of stuff: Bargain World is a pretty big place with two floors. They've got apparel on the ground floor, collectibles and random stuff on the second floor, and luggage on the west side of the store. It's a lot of stuff, but it's nicely organized so it's not hard to find what you need The Bad: Sharks and Aligators: This place sells "real" alligator heads and sharks in jars. While I highly doubt the real-ness of these things, it's gross nonetheless. Bargain world is a great place to grab souvenirs from your FL vacation without paying park price. Friendly staff who quickly pointed me to a section that had goods I needed, in this case a belt for my pants. At the cashier register the employee took off the security tag and allowed me to try on the belt to ensure that it fit well. Paid $6 after tax and was off and running. Bargain world has a great selection for your touristy-needs and some pretty cute apparel at a fair price. However, my last experience here was less than pleasant. There were associates scattered around the store that would literally follow me as I shopped. Could they make their thought "you look like you're a shoplifter" any more obvious? This made me feel very rushed and uncomfortable, so I left buying half of what I planned on buying. If the bathing suit I found wasn't so cute, I wouldn't have bought a thing due to their pushy loss prevention techniques. read more

It's big, it's flashy, it gets a lot of business. Is it worth your time? Maybe. I've only been in here once and spent probably about an hour looking all around and ended up buying nothing. Not a thing. You might find a few bargains here and there but for the most part, you might be better off at one of the Wal-Marts in the area. Timeshare resort sales people harassed myself and my GF because we wouldn't buy....... The whole mess started when my GF and I was about to enter Bargain World near Orlando Eye. This guy was outside selling park tickets for cheap prices outside the store. It got my GF and myself attention. Now note I already bought 4 day pass to Universal Parks Park. He took us in to the his little stand in the Store with his partner. I was cautious because they wanted us to go to timeshare presentation in order to get these cheap tickets so she would have to pay up front for and come to the time hare presentation.. Soon as they mention the name of the resort and the park ticket scheme it raised a red flag on me and it was Westgate Resort. I kept telling my GF take time to think about it.. And even I was about to give in but we needed time she still wasn't sure, every time I kept telling her to back away and let's think about it the sales guy kept asking me if we were married and basically trying to force her to complete the signing. While she was still deciding and about to sign I looked on my phone I remember when I investigated timeshare scandals people reported Westgate in Orlando tickets was not what they expected as a regular ticket as promised by timeshare these people. I was trying to pull up these reports and I found soon as I saw better Business Bureau reports I pulled her away, I told her nah we can't do it and she was mad at the time..I told her we need to look into it more. The salesman was pissed and asked me what sources I was looking at and we walked off. I just wanted to buy us time, walk around the store see if we wanted to really go through another presentation hassle. In a way I wouldn't mind another free tour of Orlando and good places to hang out at talking to an timeshare agent but we just needed time to think about it. We walked around I showed her the report, and it was actually about what they do and not anything bad just company info about their park tickets and resort, well she wasn't interested anymore and we were about to to walk out. As we were heading out one of the sales guys said here is our manager and the manager was trying to harass us about buying the ticket and time share tour when my gf was not interested. Then comes the main big issue. My GF and I was outside the store and heading to the car on the sidewalk a man passed us and asked me why we didn't get a time share tour because he saw us declining the offer. He wanted more info. So I told him the truth. It wasn't just 120 min presentation, after the presentation they will hassle you to buy time share.. All you have to do is keep saying no eventually they will give up and you will get your free gift, but they will keep hassling you and have u speak to various of people and they will not give u time to think about it because they want to sell right then and there, even the real estate agencies that investigated these people said their sales tactics are not professional and real real estate agents gives u time to think before you decide to buy. Then all of a sudden these two MFs came out and wanted to know what was going on, thinking I was trying to scare off their commission, I was actually telling him to go but the be careful of the scam. Kept saying what's the problem I got my free gifts, and where I got my information from. I told them I investigated time shares, even used Youtube to investigate timeshares... I told them he came to me asking me about the company. I was in front of the store, outside and I told em I was not on their property I wasn't even near their door. I was halfway to the car on the sidewalk. They was saying I was, etc,etc.. Eventually I told them I will call the cops and the security cameras they have here will show he came to me.. Eventually they continued to argue but walked off. Yelling between me and these two dumb MFs was something.. Eventually my GF thanked me because she saw how much of a bad these people were.. Alot of a words of exchange came between us than I mentioned.. Few things kicked in.. 1. I am a Security Officer in DC by clubs and I deal with Drunks and bad drivers and I don't tolerate their shit and I Def won't tolerate these rude people.. The fact I do security and I threaten about the cameras which I know about and cops. 2. I get my craziness from my mom who is bi polar. I was telling the guy who asked me about the timeshare basically the same thing they told my GF, just get the free gifts and say no and not but. But I got into further details because I have done my investigations with timeshare resorts for months and I have been on on a few with Diamond Resorts. I don't take shit from people and I help those that asks me for help best way I can. I hope that man saw the truth and didn't buy, and my gf thanks me for it. If you are looking for a place for reasonably priced souvenirs, this is the place to go. We saw several of these shops around but stopped at this particular location. LOTS of Disney stuff, and it doesn't seem to be cheap knock offs either. About a third of the store seemed to be Disney stuff - backpacks, T shirts, mugs, keychains, all kinds of stuff. We did not see anything with the Universal logo, but there were things themed for Islands of Adventure: superhero items (eg Spiderman), dinosaurs (though not specifically Jurassic Park), and Harry Potter. My son got a very nice Harry Potter shirt. Also a big selection of beach/pool items, swimwear, and women's summer tops and sundresses. There was also the expected kitchy beachy/Florida/Orlando souvenirs - keychains, maganets, mugs, etc, seashell items, etc, and lots of cheap stuff, most under $5, so a great place to bring your kids for a souvenir or to pick up a little momento of your trip, if you collect magnets or something like that. read more
